Where do i start. They took me around in golf carts so i dont have to walk in the sun and heat, they had the best staff team ive met in all my life, the food was amazing not a single thing to complain about. The hotel was clean, cool and there was lots of things to do. I was helped mostly by Yash, Rajvir, Sarvesh, Atish, Ben, avi and the house keeping lady. The hotel had a games room and snooker room that i used every night, entertainment every night at the retreat, bar open all day and night and coconut stall. The spa and massage was amazing, quite expensive but was amazing. I did not walk past a single staff member without them greeting me in such a kind way and bowing their heads. I truly felt like i owned the place. The two pools were the perfect temperature at all times and were very clean. Some of the people that stayed at the hotel were very rude to the staff members and i really feel bad they received this treatment. Overall, the hotel was the best hotel ive stayed at with the most friendliest staff ever. The hospitality is unmatched. You will not regret a single thing about booking this hotel. Thank you
Staff was very nice and welcoming!
I loved the way the hotel is spread out & styled, gives it very resort, village vibes rather than a typical hotel. Beach - not the biggest fan, as there isn’t a proper one, mostly rocky & inaccessible in some areas (saw the hotels on Troux Aux Beach with plenty of sandy beach leading to the ocean with no rocks. Service was inconsistent, slow (atleast 6-7 times they completely forgot or never brought our drink orders, especially in Pool, Retreat Bar & Beach Grill Restaurant). Most staff were nice. You can clearly tell the staff tend to focus on guests from certain part of the world..just an observation. Our confirmation had “Ocean King Junior Suite” sold to us. We barely had ocean view, as we were on ground floor facing mainly the lawns & tree views. So need to double check on this. All in all - OK & nice, but not returning to this hotel. Mauritius - Yes, but perhaps try another five star hotel , that delivers more in a different location.
This was a great introduction to Mauritius- staff cannot be faulted- they offer genuine friendly service. Food at beach grill was fantastic - food elsewhere was very good. We would definitely go back.
We had a very good week at The Westin Turtle Bay. We had a brilliant room (Junior Suite Ocean Grand Deluxe) with 2 double beds, shower, bath and two basins. The food was very good quality. We only ate in the buffet restaurant once - it was very good - but we wanted to explore the restaurants. We did the lobster night at the Beach Grill and the teppanaki experience at Fusion. Both of these upgrades were 10/10 for food and atmosphere. We also upgraded to the Mystique night with fire dancing. In our opinion, this wasn’t worth the upgrade although the fire dancers were good. The Indian restaurant (Kangan) was particularly good, super fresh tasting Indian cuisine. We did half board then upgraded to all inclusive for the last day. All inclusive isn’t really worth it unless you are heavy drinkers and a lot of the drinks/food had a supplement that was the same for half board/all inclusive. We indulged in the spa. The treatments were pricey but very good, especially the massages and the facial. We booked a number of treatments and received a discount which was very good. The staff were brilliant. Very friendly. Service could be a tiny bit slow at times but you’re on holiday so what’s the rush?! Some key people to mention are Vashakie for his services at Kangan, Preet & Siwi for incredible massages, Jevin for front of house assistance, Meeram for cleaning our room and Nass for poolside attendance. All in all a great stay and we would recommend. We hired a car so could explore too.
My stay was absolutely amazing, very spacious and well furnished rooms. Excellent service, rooms were fixed twice a day. Staff were very friendly and warm. Will surely visit this property again.
The staff at the hotel were tremendous! So helpful, patient with requests and wouldn't rest until they found a satisfactory outcome for guests. The food in all five of the restaurants was excellent! The hotel and its grounds are a little piece of paradise. I'd certainly return and extend my stay to 10 or 14 days.
This is an excellent property resort to spend time at
Very good experience at the hotel but apart from the taxi driver who was hired by the hotel made the whole stay down , we have arranged with the private tour , it was scary driving with very poor service , absolutely not recommend! I have paid higher price for the tour but not with the same returned !
Great reataurant options. Excellent customer service. Beautiful resort on the beach.
The Westin is a brand I know and trust and it lived up to expectations as always.
This is an amazing resort with everything at your fingertips. The whole resort is stunning including the beach etc. The staff at this resort are second to none, in particular Ankit and Shernyl both were excellent, ever so attentive and professional, went way beyond what one would expect.
From Annabelle at the front door of the hotel, to the Manager, stepping by the housekeeping Lady Devianne, everyone is kind and smiling, the service was Amazing.
Paradise indeed , magnificent stay
A true depiction of what you see on the website quite picturesque, very clean, loads of activities to keep the family entertained. Also great food selection. I generally don’t like buffets but the food was fresh with wide variations!! There’s the added advantage of having different restaurants onsite.
Excellent stay at the Westin. We would especially like to say a big thanks to Kamini who kept our room in spotless condition and was very friendly, a real star at the hotel. Also the staff running the Heavenly Spa, they went out of their way to accommodate us when it was very busy on a few occasions when we visited. The bookable restaurants were superb although some dishes can be a bit too spicy at times. The International restaurant had a nice selection of different food but sometimes the heated containers holding food weren’t hot enough and sometimes the food in them was lukewarm. The other small issue was that a lot of salt was used in some dishes, this could be avoided by letting customers have the choice to add this themselves, I personally don’t put salt in my food so I really noticed this. Please be aware that there is no public transport available near the Hotel, so if you’re not hiring a car then you’re going to have to rely on cabs, this can be a bit expensive and if you’re wanting so explore the island you’ll need to consider these costs. Of course this is not the fault of the hotel but we found that getting your own cabs can be quite a bit cheaper than booking a cab through the hotel themselves, sometimes a big difference in price. Overall we had a great stay, all staff were friendly and helpful, from the cleaning staff to the hotel managers, and not forgetting the gardeners maintaining the beautiful gardens. The Westin’s 5 star rating is well deserved.
Westin Turtle Bay - Better than Most Ritz Carlto…
The Westin Turtle Bay is comparable in every way to the best Ritz Carlton hotels we have stayed at around the world! It is a gorgeous property with first class amenities, rooms right on the water, some of the best restaurants (including Kangan for Indian food) on the property. The personalized service is exceptional! The staff are outstanding!
Too isolated. Needs a little shop for ice cream and snacks as there is nothing around here. Menu’s need updating in the restaurants both food and drinks.
Amazing setting, great views, amazing room and staff really helpful with my pregnant wife.
Beautiful resort with lovely staff
Fantastic resort where the staff are very accommodating. The facilities are really good and well kept. Rooms are beautiful and well looked after. Anas, Rais and Reshmi made our stay a memorable one with their first class hospitality
Wonderful stay at the Westin. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Beautiful hotel, lovely pool, wonderful staff and excellent food options. What more could you ask for? If I could give a higher star rating I would!
Very pleasant stay with excellent service
Excellent staff, very comfortable room although bathroom a little tired with poor shower. Food options good. Beach disappointing with many rocks, but adjacent beaches very good.
The Spa too small and the beach not really suitable for guests.
Fabulous place! Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and hotel and grounds were spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.
The peace in the hotel was complete. Concerning the restaurants options i think the offers are a bit low. They need to improve the options. Overall excellent hotel!
Amazing resort and staff - 2nd visit and looking forward to returning in the future again
Fantastic post-COVID stay!
It was truly an amazing experience after not traveling for almost three years it was a beautiful unexpected experience! The staff were truly amazing, Jesh, Ashana, Adam, Neha and so many more including all the managers. Adam at the retreat even let me name a drink after me! ( the Sea Breeze, pictured). We didn’t realize it was a wellness resort when we first booked, so the food wasn’t always to our liking and preferred more variety like more Italian or Mediterranean themed nights as it was heavily based on curries and spiced foods (which is still lovely and local). However we ended up loving the wellness theme toward the end! The entertainment was also very appealing in the main lobby section, kept us entertained on the cold and rainy nights (not that many considering it’s winter!) Just overall a beautiful experience and will recommend over and over.
Dated, but well kept property. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Such a beautiful hotel. I mean, I saw the pictures online before booking it, obviously. However, they don't do this property much justice! I was blown away by it's beauty as well as the friendliness of the staff. I remember there was a time when I mentioned that I would love to eat seafood while in Mauritius and the concierge called to one of the in-house restaurants and reserved a table for me an hour later for their 5-course seafood dinner.
Couldn’t fault it!
The entrance to the hotel is nice and there is a nice walk way to the beach from the lobby. The adult pool was okay, but a lot of bird poo on the floor just as you enter the pool. We had to request for this to be thoroughly cleaned, which was actioned immediately. However we as the customer should not have to highlight this to the hotel managers and instead should be maintained regularly. The pool staff weren't very attentive, we had to wait over 20 minutes for a drink and it wasn't busy at all. We highlighted our concerns with the hotel manager and catering manager who quick started to make changes to the operations of the hotel and we could see a big difference after a few more hours. The service got better from day 2 onwards and pretty much all the staff knew our names and greeted us nicely throughout the stay.
We arrived earlier, than check-in time (3 pm), so we know we need to wait maximum till 3pm. Unfortunately at 3:35pm our room was still not ready... Around 3:45pm we get our room, but we didn't understand why we wait that long time, because our room wasn't cleaned properly... We made a half board upgrade, so we get dinner, but the food was not really good. Every night was "International" and one additional type of food. The International here mean = Indian food...... The hotel in and out was nice, the workers are helpful (not everyone), but for this price the food need to be perfect as well....
It was ok overall. in my opinion, not really a 5-star service
If you want a mediocre resort with TERRIBLE service, the Westin is your resort. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were with our stay here. No one in the entire resort ever smiled at us or offered help. It felt like a bad cruise ship! It was overcrowded with a fend for yourself attitude. The gym is worse than any Holiday Inn. it was a small white room with tiny windows, trash everywhere, no wipes or towels, and VERY dirty equipment. The food was awful, but the nonexistent service was what was most disappointing. Our room also leaked water and smelled like mildew. The room offers no privacy as it has no doors or solid walls between the bathroom and bedroom. We went three days with no new towels or cleaning of our room...yet they always remembered to check the mini bar!!!! Obviously, money was the only concern here. When the cleaning staff finally came, it was at 10 pm!!!!! Unacceptable! I would never, ever stay there again or recommend it.
Great amenities, high level of customer service and attention to detail. The front office manager Aldo was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. He made sure that everything were up to standard. Accessible eateries, 3 restaurants at the resorts. The resort is located at seafront with a beautiful view. I particularly loved the pool with a poolside bar which was very convenient
Coffee kittle was dirty/used. Assigned an ocean view room that had no ocean view at all. Had to transfer to another room.
Very Average Hotel
Slow check in. Slow service in restaurants and extraordinarily high food costs (even for Mauritius). General feeling is that there is no leadership team running the hotel - and things just drift along at a pace which the staff decide on the day.
The staff were very accomodating, special call out to a few names that were especially helpful during our stay Nitesh, Yovi, Kushboo, Dheeraj & Julia.
Great property, wonderful location and we had a fantastic stay. Only issue was the very very slow service and inconsistent room cleaning service which some days included fresh towels and gowns etc and other days not at all. The service and speed of service is laughable at times.
Some housekeeping workers annoyed us during the night when I was sleeping after 9 pm they knock the door very hard for they're second check in. They were not polite. In regards to the half board you have to pay for drinks in dinner especially water very strange to be honest I thought half board included the drinks. Other things are okay.
Very friendly and welcoming service. The staff were extremely happy to help
The hotel vibe is exhilarating. Several dining options to soothe your palates.
Loved our stay at the Westin!
We loved The Westin! The pool was great, food amazing and the service was top! We travelled there over Christmas with our 3 young children.
Beautiful views from the sea facing rooms. We were lucky we had a ground floor room that basically was on the beach! Service in restaurants was slow and some staff look like they're being forced to work. EXPENSIVE is an understatement in my opinion.
Relaxing resort
The resort was amazing the views from the room were fantastic facing the ocean. The room and bathroom were both great. It was nice to receive some complementary water activities too. There are 3 restaurants within the resort but the menus are limited. To take a taxi from the resort isn't so cheap. Overall the experience if staying at this resort was fantastic and we would recommend it.
Family beach resort
Property is located in an exclusive area of the island on the north east coast. Situated in Balaclava, it’s close to Grand Baie, Flic en Flac, and Port Louis. It’s a complete resort with restaurants, pools, kids areas, spa, and all the water sports including a Padi dive center. Staff are very friendly and helpful with things to do, arrangements of tours, and other reservations. Breakfast buffet is quite good and the Indian restaurant Kangan is excellent. A great vacay place for a couple or family. If taking any tours be sure to ask for Hotel Taxi driver Kumar. He’s very knowledgeable and has great recommendations. He planned 2 fantastic days for us.
Nice secluded hotel
This hotel is a great 4+ star hotel. I think the 5 star rating set my expectations too high. The rooms are large and very comfortable including great heavenly beds. The staff where really attentive and easy to communicate with. My wife and I had massages, which were just ok. Spa facilities were adequate, but not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. Breakfast buffet has a good selection, but didn't change much from day to day. We also ate at Kagan, which was just ok and at Mystic on the sushi night, which was very good. Other meals where outside the resort, since had had a rental car. Overall I would stay again with the correct expectations this is a result nice property.
Fantastic hotel!
We went to the Westin for 10 days to relax and refresh, booking very last minute. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, in particular the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The main restaurant served a great buffet breakfast and dinner with a wide selection of food. The beach was peaceful and there was a wide range of water sports on offer which were free of charge. There was an adults only pool which was a nice quiet area to relax, next to the beach grill which was a great spot for lunch. The only small negative comments are the cost of drinks and the uncomfortable balcony chairs. Otherwise, they had thought of everything. All our requests were quickly fulfilled and we slept extremely well in the very comfortable bed. Highly recommend!
nice hotel on the beach.
nice hotel on the beach. nice hotel on the beach..
Stunning location and incredible staff
We had a highly enjoyable and relaxing stay at the Westin Turtle Bay Resort for our honeymoon. The location is stunning but a little out of the way so you need to hire a car or take a taxi to get out and about to explore the island. The hotel offers a range of activities (mostly complimentary) such as boat trips, water sports and cooking classes - all of which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. Excellent choice of places to eat at the hotel and delicious food. Hotel staff are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to help you. A huge thanks goes to Jean, Ardash, Ashwin and Kavishnak to name but a few.
Stunning setting. Junior suite had three balconies. A bit distant from attractions on the island, but the locals said the weather was better in that part of the island.
Wonderful place to stay.
We had a suite with a superb view over the ocean and a huge balcony on 2 sides. It was a delight to stay in. The hotel is ideally placed for exploring Mauitius but also spacious and well resourced if you just want to relax. The access to the Executive Lounge that comes with the suite was a tremendous benefit with snacks and drinks readily available and nice places to sit. Additionally the staff throughout the hole are friendly, warm, polite and very helpful. We will definitely stay there again.
Good, but not great
Beautiful room. Could do better with its half board dinner options.
Michael from Hamburg
All fine
Nice resort
Very nice facility. Breakfast was fair. Some dishes seemed to be empty all the time. Overall good service and beautiful rooms.
Unfortunate wrong time wrong staff
I think this hotel is good apart from a waiter who I reported to management was very very rude. Management apologized. Also the check out was mixed up and also I received an apology. Apart from that a good hotel and pleasant stay.
Westin Turtle Bay Resort Review - May 2017
For a Five Star Hotel, the facilities were quite poor. The shower knob came off in my hand. The shower gel provided often did not contain gel but just water. The cordless telephone by the bedside did not work at all. When we asked the Service Assistance, we were informed that it was being charged. Yes it was being charged for the five days we were here and was clearly unusable. The positives. The Room was wonderful, the bath tub superb, the beds ultra comfortable and watching the sunrise sitting in the balcony sipping coffee was outstanding. The hotel did not have too many vegetarian options but two people deserve special mention. Executive Chef Kiran who organized south indian breakfast for us - which was really good; and Mystique Manager Kavi - who ensured we had great vegetarian food when we went to the restaurant. One major area of disappointment, my daughter had several bruises and we wanted a band aid - when I went to the clinic, the person in charge of the clinic was quite rude and quoted rules to say that only two band aids can be given to a room. nobody hoards band aids and these are sought only when necessary. Overall the team at Westin was extremely cooperative and solicitous. Though the hotel has in-house water sports facilities, the team there were not encouraging snorkeling stating that if we did not know swimming they wouldn't allow snorkeling. however, without knowing swimming, we did snorkeling on way to benitiers island.
Superb
It was excellent in every way
Nice hotel, especially if you travel with kids
Great room and nice bathroom, good bed and linen. The rooms by the large pool very noise as the sound of screaming children echoes on the building. If you want a quiet room ask for the middle block or the block by the quiet pool. The quiet pool is a whisper pool, which sounds nice, but staff say nothing when there are noisy people, for example people deciding to Skype with their family/friends at quiet pool. Beach bar and Kanga, friendly staff, quick service, good food. Mystic, Fusion and Main Restaurant, staff not really friendly, they just do their job. Good was not good in all of these restaurants. Every morning at breakfast they come to ask to join for the special evenings, which cost about €65 pp on top of the amount paid already for dinner. The fact that they came to ask everybody to join means the evenings are not very popular, otherwise you won't need to beg. Wine is overpriced in all restaurants, for example a wine that costs €8.50 in shop is €55. 500ml beer is €9. On all inclusive, you get een cheaper wines. We did have a nice stay at Westin but would next time choose a hotel that is not so orientated on children but more for adults, and also a hotel that is not so massive. I guess the hotel has about 190 rooms which is 400 to 450 people depending on how many children are extra in the rooms.
Gorgeous beach is stretched along the resort
The experience was amazing. The resort was facilitated with all luxurious life things. From the room services to the resort's team were all fabulous. I would highly recommond staying in this hotel.
Superb resort ,lovely beach , great gym and spa
We loved everything about the resort. Check in was a breeze and welcome was excellent. Concierge very helpful for taxi and booking tours etc. Family Room was good and clean and a few steps to the beach. Pools were lovely though we preferred the ocean. Beach was good we did a lot of snorkeling and saw beautiful sea life. We also used the Maritim beach which was great and they have alot of coral that's side too for snorkeling .Boat house team were helpful enjoyed the water sports from there. Hotel is in a good location not far from Port Louis and Grand Bay.We booked half board and it was sufficient though buying drinks was expensive . Food was generally good ,though breakfast was the same everyday for 8 days we got tired of the breakfast.Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all we had a great time at the Westin turtle bay
Lovely hotel with nice open design.
The staff is incredibly attentive and kind. Food options are many - be sure to make reservations a day in advance if you are interested in dinner anywhere other than the buffet. Access to waterspouts was great - we loved diving with Easy Divers.
Awesome hotel...
Lovely setting... friendly staff... food is pricey... the beach is rocky so no swimming... taxi service around is very expensive so try renting a car
Beautiful hotel, terrible staff and food!!
What a shame that a multimillion pound hotel set in beautiful settings is let down by awful staff with next to no training and food that would be considered 1-2 Star anywhere in the world.
Nice but needs work
We were a bit disappointed with our stay, mainly because of ongoing maintenance problems. We had to leave our first suite after the first day because despite trying to fix the aircon, it was broken and the room smelled moldy. The second suite was bigger and very nice though there was no hot water in the second bathroom. Again they tried continually to fix it, it meant that we had workmen in and out of our room constantly. The management did apologize and gave us a bottle of champagne but despite being Starwood Preferred guests, I don't think we would return. We have stayed in several other hotels in Mauritius that we will come back to.
Excellent stay-really enjoyable!
My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights in December. Excellent service and a great place to relax and have a break. Their top priority is your comfort and the staff are extremely polite and professional and do everything they can to ensure you have a comfortable stay. They do not say no to anything you ask for!! One of the best places I have stayed at and certainly a place I would recommend to family and friends. Its a bit far out from everywhere so if you want to explore the surroundings yourself it s better to rent a car and it may be cheaper to organise this yourself rather than through the hotel itself. Food is a bit pricey if you are not on an all-inclusive plan but on the whole a great place to stay! They even made me a nice complimentary cake on my birthday!!
Great hotel, but not amazing for the price
Enjoyed my stay and the staff were great, just a few things that grated on me given it is supposedly 5 star and not cheap. Bare in mind I was staying B&B and a lot of people are HB or all-in which may have made a difference. The buffet in the evening is not great at all and for the price is rediculous. Kangan restaurant is amazing, but you don;t want the same limited menu each night plus it is often booked up. We found it cheaper to get a local scooter and drive to a local restaurant and the food was better and more varied. Drinks v pricey and the cocktails were average for the price. Room generally very good with great bathroom although one day we did have dirty earbuds delivered which was gross. Rest of the stay however was top notch, great guys taught us sailing and water-skiing and everyone is friendly. overall great but if you want 5 star there must be better.
Fantastic resort with good facilities. Only thing lacking was sandy beach, as hotel beach not suitable for anything more than a paddle
Memorable stays
Free Marine activity choice was lot and convenient. Pool side environment was so nice and felt relaxing Food provided was almost superb and bar atmosphere was also great
Excellent
everything was fabulous.. definitely recommend this place.
a very good choice on the island
Food in the hotel is fantastic and with a reasonable price if you compare prices in big cities in the world. room was extremely clean and comfortable. beautiful gardens and sea view. The only thing is that the seaside is full of corals and rocks so you need to wear sea shoes etc. Westin is really a good choice of stay in Mauritius. The northern part of the island is full of restaurants and bars where you can reach with a short ride. SPA in the hotel is also great.
Business trip.
Very nice hotel and excellent, friendly staff throughout all departments of the hotel. We are in the seasonal tastes restaurant and Fusion, both were great, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
A beautiful hotel in lovely grounds.
Really nice , very large room ( nice free upgrade to beach room). Beautiful grounds with various "blocks" of rooms very well landscaped . Right on a tiny beach but great pool areas ( 2 of them) Only the food was 'average'.........trying to cope with a very mixed clientele ( Muslim, Hindu etc etc ) the large buffet had a 'bit of a lot' but not ' a lot of anything' Absolutely charming friendly staff
Amazing Staff
We had an amazing week, great food, expensive cocktails and the friendliest and most helpful staff ever!! Great Wi-Fi was a big plus.
Nice stay
Great hotel condition. We were upgraded to a Junior suite; excellent room. When we tried to extend our stay, we had an issue with the rate and the room we were in. Ravi, from hotel, helped in sorting it out, and gave us a very good offer, all things considered. They offer some free water activities; but the paid ones are very, very expensive. We found out that too late. Book direct with tour agencies, not hotel. Food was good, but we felt a bigger variety would be good. Taxi from hotel to nearest attractions was a bit expensive; probably better to rent a car. But if you had to take hotel taxi, ask for Naic or Noor; very helpful and honest. Overall, we liked the hotel, and the view from the room.
Beautiful hotel and location! At The Retreat Restaurant the staff service quality varies from very poor to excellent.
Well designed hotel with fantastic restaurants
The hotel is spread out over the beachfront location and so you don't feel like you are couped up with a lot of other people. There were sunbeds for all by the pool and on the beach, with room for privacy and to take in the fantastic sea views. Staff were happy and helpful. Food was of very good quality, especially liked the Indian Kangan, the beach BBQ and fish restaurant and the Jazz bar in the evening.
Be sure to be at the beach before 18h00, the sunset is exceptional!
The sushi was excellent and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive.
Perfect place for a total holiday
An excellent new build property set out in beautiful surroundings coupled with very polite staff make this hotel a wonderful experience. The Westin team made sure nothing was left unnoticed right to preparing a special GF cake to make our daughters birthday more memorable. Well done - don't lose the magic.
Good value 5* hotel in a good location
The hotel offers a good value 5* experience with a tropical relaxed feel. You can compare it to the ultra high end hotels such as the 4 seasons, but this is reflected in the price. The all day dinning buffet is fine with well cooked basic food, no fancy lobster or steak and surprisingly not much sea food. The service in the other food outlets can be slow at times, so you just have to relax and be patient. The beach is not a great swimming beach as it's quite shallow and rocky. Overall we enjoyed the holiday thought the Westin offered good value.
The staff where very nice and kind and friendly
The staff where very nice and kind and friendly Specially Sandeep, anoop, fadil and Jeet
Beautiful and luxious hotel, delicious food.
Its was fun, many of the activities were free and fun to do. The food was delicious and exclusive.
Wonderful stay except for disappointing lunch.
Very nice overall. The only downside was my lunch experience. Not many options and the last day I was there, I had the worst burger I've ever had - overcooked (when I asked for medium) and tasteless. But the resort itself is beautiful and the staff are all friendly, polite, and accommodating. The dinner buffet is also top notch.
Very nice hotel with all friendly staff
We really enjoyed the holiday in The Westin Turtle Bay and Resort. The receptionists were all very helpful and smiling all the time and ready to help if you have got any queries. I would like to thank the Hotel Manager Ravi for allowing us to have our room until the departure time in the evening upto 19.00. We had a wonderful time and the food was very good especially at Kangan Restaurant. I would recommend everyone who stays at this hotel should try food at Kangan.
Beyond expectation
First time to Mauritius and spent 4 nights at Westin. SPG brands has never let me down. Hotel is at great location at north west coast - calm waves (vs. east coast), beautiful reefs and gorgeous sunset views. Would recommend anyone to Mauritius for holiday considering staying at Westin.
Beach hotel with amazing food
The bedrooms are situated in blocks within the hotel grounds and are tastefully refurbished. The main hotel is new and contemporary. All food was fantastic- freshly prepared and well presented. The 2 a la carte restaurants were superb. Guests on half board are offered a credit as an alternative to the main restaurant. Prices of dishes vary considerably but the credit can cover 2 courses. Fab decor, amazing food and excellent service and is highly recommended.
5 star plus service and accomidations!
It was the best service I've ever received at any hotel - any I travel often! Great job to all the staff!!!!! Awesome!
Impressed, happy, relaxed and satisfied!
The hotel, the room and bathroom, all facilities, the housekeeping and the service and staff were stunning and great, and befitting a 5-star hotel expected standards. Staff was friendly, attentive, responsive, speedy and helpful. The tap water had a funny taste and bottles of mineral water were delivered to our room every day. The only 2 flops happened when on our arrival there we were told that they did not have our booking which we made ourselves online via hotels.com - which was a bit shocking, but was eventually resolved although it included quite a long wait (we were not told where exactly the problem was). Also we made a reservation for the New Years Eve dinner at the main restaurant via concierge - only to arrive at the restaurant for the New Years Eve dinner and be told that they did not have our reservation, luckily we were given a nice table anyway. Everything else was awesome including the weather :) We left impressed, happy, relaxed and satisfied.
Beautiful sunsets & amazing infinity edge pool
This is a beautiful hotel. I had an excellent room with sublime views onto the infinity edge pool. The jazz pianist provided excellent background to my bar moments. The staff provided me with great service and were always ready to attend to my every need. Considering this stay was weeks after the reopening, very little needed to be fine-tuned.
Schöne Unterkunft, hervorragendes Essen am Abendbuffet, das Personal hat uns jedes Mal mit einem Lächeln begrüßt.
Thank you very very much!!!
Super Hotel Resort! 5 Sterne Wert! Wir kommen wieder!
Great friendly service Team Great destination for swimming, for watersport activities and for day trips around the island Great meal possibilities
The hotel staff were lovely and very professional. The suit we had was very nice and large with a wonderful sea view. However, the negative points were: - the toilets are not isolated from the rest of the room and you can hear everything that happens in the toilet from the bed! For a romantic trip for a couple it is a real "love killer". When one uses the toilet the other has to leave the room to go to the terrace. In addition, the bathroom sinks are right behind the headboard without separation, which means that if one person uses the sink at night they wake up their partner. - the bathtub was showing signs of wear with the lower veneer coming loose - the bathroom/toilet window was condemned and could not be opened which prevented the sanitary area from being properly ventilated which remained very humid
10/10
One of the best. Brilliant staff. Kiitos!

We were very impressed with the hospitality and kindness from all of the staff, all the food options were great at all restaurants, with something for everyone, including the buffet, the all inclusive package included well made cocktails and non alcoholic options, lots of activities available. Very relaxing stay, We can’t wait to come back!
