Run down and neglected hotel with a great staff.

This hotel resembles what I would imagine a hotel would look like after a zombie apocalypse. It is worn out, ignored and generally looks like a dump. Hot tubs have plywood over them, most of the restaurants are permanently closed, as is the spa. It's walking distance to a lot of places on the main strip along the beach but the property itself is in terrible condition. The staff was wonderful and friendly but Westin is letting them down by letting the property fall into disarray.

Excellent hotel!!

It was right on the beach front . We had to ask for wash rags twice since they didn’t leave them after cleaning.

There is amusement park near by Westin. This amusement park use dancing music and loud voice until 11 pm around. This music is very bad for family and older people We didn’t like only this thing. So, I never stay again, if situation is same.

I loved the elevator system and just the overall aesthetic of the property.

This is a great hotel. The recent typhoon has affected the exterior, and due to the pandemic and low occupancy the spa has permanently closed. But it is still a great place to stay, service is excellent. There are a lot of military personnel on R&R, but the behave like anyone else just out for a vacation. Highly recommend.

I loved it! The staff was exceptional and the service was great! Ella, Hailee, and Young were the ones who helped me and they were the best! Can’t wait to come back!

Lack of care

The Westin Resort Guam used to be THE spot for luxury and consistency in high quality service and amenities. This visit was unfortunately none of that and the main reason was the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom sink was draining slowly because the stopper was covered in gunk and hair. We were only there for two nights and we called the front desk in the morning after our first night to request that they clean the sink. They said someone would handle it that day. Nothing. We called again that afternoon and still, nothing. That night, we delivered said sink stopper to the front desk so they could see for themselves but by that time, it was too late as we were leaving early the next morning. We also had to ask the housekeeper to sweep the floor for us as she was about to leave the room without doing so. These seem like basic things for any hotel but especially for the Westin and at almost $400 a night, there is really no excuse for dirty rooms.

Great place

Everything was fine considering what the Island went through, we were very comfortable at the Westin

I couldn't get a room at all, and no information.

Unfortunately, they didn’t prepare for the room that I booked and they even said that there was nothing they can do until the hotel manager showed up. The office manager did her best, but I don’t think I will stay this hotel again.

The property is not a 5 Star Westin as you are used to. This hotel has extreme mold all on the outside. The bathrooms are filled with black mold. They play very loud music every night and since the rooms are circular going up, you can hear everything. It goes from 6:30pm to 9:30pm EVERY NIGHT!! This is NOT a hotel to go to if you are on business. You will not be able to work in a quiet room or get to sleep before 9:30pm. I will never stay here again while in Guam. Staff are friendly but have no say so over anything when something is wrong. They always say I cannot help you, but maybe my manager can.

Expected better

I thought I would have a much better time considering it was my wife and I’s honeymoon. Overall, my stay was okay. Check-in time was 3PM but the room wasn’t ready and I even arrived around 4PM. They also tried to charge my wife and I for having our Service Dog with us too. We had to remind and show them that it is against the law to do that. A corner of the room smelled of urine. We only stayed a few days so all in all it wasn’t too bad.

Some of our housekeeping requests were not provided. None of the toiletries were replenished, even the toilet paper spines were not replaced and left hanging empty. Bathroom was also not thoroughly cleaned.

Great hotel

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the view was nice. The location of the hotel is perfect for shopping and eating. It was sad to see that many of the stores had to close because of covid, but was told that several are scheduled to reopen.

There is a very large parking structure on the property, but it was always full, even though the hotel was not full. There were functions taking place at the hotel, but many people were not staying there. They were just there for the party. Therefore, it forced many guests to park in the very low levels. Paying hotel guests should have the priority. Our room was very nice and quiet. I especially appreciated the staff for letting us check in early!!

This place STUNK !!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely TERRIBLE location that ruined lour vacation in Guam. It was so bad that we actually hung out at the Outrigger and Hyatt for meals and cocktails !!!! The Westin chain will never get my business again !!!! Worst stay ever, and Westin should be embarrassed !!!!

Worst hotel I've ever been in. Hotel is really old and doesn't seem like its been renovated for years and years! The room and the carpet look really old. Because of their name and the amount you pay for it, you'd think you'd get a good stay but, no!! Definitely sad that I stayed in this hotel. Wish I did research 1st, or checked into the Hyatt or another hotel!

Westin Guam is an excellent stay. Great pool, the beach is beautiful, it’s within easy walking of shops and restaurants. The staff is excellent, it’s very clean and quiet.

When I went to my room after check-in, the "Don't Disturb" tag was on the doorknob and it seemed that there were still customers. Despite booking a taxi at 5am the day before, the doorman took taxis to the other guests, and the front desk apologizes and calls for a new taxi. But a new taxi was also given to another guest by the doorman. The doorman said "I don't recognize your booking taxi!" There was no coordination between the front desk and the doorman at all.

Short vacation

Room was spacious and clean. But pool and beach were crowded and small. Condition doesn’t look like good. After swimming, if you would like to find laundry room, they have only two washing machine. There is not coin change machine, you need to go down to lobby. of lots of customers, staffs looks busy. Service was business like. The hotel has good location but i am not sure that i am going to stay again.

Cleaning service was quite bad. They didn’t make up of room floor during staying. Except this everything was perfect especially pool is connect with beach. Good.

Our stay was great . Friendly and attentive staff. Yasmin at front desk assisted upon check in and she took care of all our request. Overall, hotel service was great and located to several restaurants that are within walking distance.

The hotel is within walking distance of great restaurants and shops. Beautiful beach side as well.

I liked that the hotel was in walking distance to everything. The beach was very clean. The pool was ok. The bar at the pool only had one bartender working so it took forever to get a drink. The rooms are nice and clean. We had a balcony with no furnitures so you couldn’t sit outside and enjoy the view.

The air conditioners were awful. We spent the first night in a room that was 78. They moved us the next day, which was a pain, and that room never reached below 70. We wanted a resort so we could relax in the hotel but with air conditioners as they were it was difficult. House keeping missed our room completely saying we had the do not disturb sign up, which we didn't, so we ended up having to ask for towels and pile up the trash. There was a microwave on the 8th floor that was never cleaned out, had the same spilt food in it the whole time. Everyone always speaks highly of the Westin, but it didn't meet our expectations. The large chairs outdoors on the beach were covered in black mold, which I'm severely allergic to, so forget that. Ants were everywhere outside as well, no attempt to spray or treat it, so I was constantly doing a jig to keep them off of my feet at the pool. With more upkeep and a/c upgrades we would be willing to return.

Room was not ready upon check-in. However front office staff was apologetic.

It was kind of hot in the room. But I enjoy the Westin facility everytime I come back. Hopefully air con is fixed.

Great stay

Room was perfect for family with young children. The beds are very comfortable and big enough for us. We also enjoyed the in room dining service. Free high speed wifi. The only thing we didn't like was the shower area- so tight that the water goes into the sides of the glass door. And when you open the door, the water overflows and goes to the whole bathroom floor. Hopefully they can fix that issue. And hopefully they upgrade their toilet into a bidet one for more convenience. Overall, we really had a great stay and will book again here.

Guam hotel.

Airport pick-up service charge was expensive and late. First day they prepared used tooth brush for us. Some spot in the room was dusty. The hotel view was terrible. The light bulb was blinking when we arrived. Overall hotel condition, i felt it is quite old. But the location was pretty good.

Beautiful hotel, pool and beach fantastic. All staff very friendly!! However, restaurant very pricey for buffet. Good food choices nearby off property.

Property looked really old but overall it was a nice stat. I'm very happy with it. I got a full beach view hotel but the beach is on the right side of the hotel. Not the full beach view i anticipated customer service was great. The girl who assisted me was so nice and she even checked me in three hours early.

Nothing I got to experience was unique. The staff were overall nice though. The room was not a nice room. The ocean view was terrible, more parking lot view and greenery than ocean. It was a very dirty room, the bathroom was dirty, towels we're dirty, blood on my pillow case, looked as the someone had spit on the windows, my wife spent sometime cleaning the room herself to be comfortable which defeated the purpose of vacation. The manager did what she could to make us more comfortable with the situation, but unfortunately the damage was already done and it set a bad tone for our entire stay.

Hotel view is the best

You Should Try This Hotel.

The staff was friendly and attentive to your needs. All the staff would greet you whenever you come in contact with them. We only stayed one overnight so we weren’t able to use the spa or visit the restaurants. I recommend this hotel and I got the best rate at Hotels.com.

While the rooms were clean and overall good the mattress was a bit worn/saggy and could use a replacement. The sea air has taken its toll on some of the metal handrails outside, it looked like they were working to restore them. Overall we were p!eased with the hotel its very friendly and helpful staff. The only downside was they did not offer an affordable shuttle from the airport, take a taxi or shuttle offered by the airport it is cheaper..

Very expensive and disappointing breakfast

Nice hotel, great location. Rooms are a bit musty, but that is because the hotel is a little old. Staff are very nice.

Seemed a little run down, in need of a face lift. Our bathroom floor was badly stained and had some cracked tiles. The complimentary WIFI was worth what you paid for it. $5 bottles of water in the room was a bit too much.

Great that this hotel is on the beach, but the best word I can use for the the rooms of this hotel is "dank." This place is no where near 4+ star hotel. There was mold and mildew in the shower, ants in the room and a constant feel of dampness the entire stay. I totally understand that I am on an island by the beach and dampness is common, but I also live in a very damp place currently and I have a dehumidifier for that purpose specifically. Also in the bathroom, the shower was filthy with soap scum all over the glass walls. It was looking through an opaque glass rather than clear glass. The toilet was also very cheap and did not work well at all. Overall, this is a sad excuse for a Westin.

Needs a facelift. Getting old. Staff was friendly. Room service kept forgetting that my husband and I needed at least 2 washcloths. We either received one or none. One point.. 3. Wifi was slow and spotty. Upside: location and beach were great. Amenities such as the executive lounge and breakfast/bar, & complimentary water bottles were super convenient and delicious. This Westin is at the top of the 'hill' on 'hotel row' where there are numerous restaurant/bar venues as well as outlet shopping.

The beach is awesome and it is very convenient to snorkel, kayak and scuba diving , the rooms are very comfortable

Used to be good

Facilities start looking a bit outdated (doors broken all the time, toilet was running all the time, carpets a little worn, etc). Pool water looked cloudy (dirty). Made a reservation for 3 people (with a premium over 2) but the hotel told us that this does not mean bedding for 3 and that our 10-year old daughter needs to sleep with us in the king bed.

One superior aspect is their staffs. People of Westin Guam are always eager to help and support, active and polite. They made our faimly so relaxed and happy all time during our stay.

Convenience but small room

Business trip. The hotel is located tourist shopping centre with restaurants. Convenience but the hotel room is smaller than the other hotel room with same rate and located nearby.

Nice view of sunset

It is a good located nice hotel that just needs update inside hotel. The room was very quiet. My husband and I had dinner at Prego Italian restaurant. It was beautiful sunset from our table. The food was delicious and good service as well. We will be back to this hotel. A lot of hotels in Guam and this hotel is the best so far. Even though we are disappointed in the newest hotel in same area.

Check in/out was a breeze and the entire staff was SUPER friendly and nice!! Conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and has direct beach access. Would definitely stay there again!!
