Excellent hotel , very nice ambiance, nice staff

I had a delightful stay at Westin Xuanwu Lake. Great location. Excellent service. Unbeatable views and breakfast buffet. Highly recommend! I'll definitely stay again next time when I visit Nanjing!

Worst experience, ever!

My stay at Nanjing Westin was the worst in my life so far. Went for breakfast around 9:45 AM, waitress guided me to a table for two, but right after I sat down, a man came and told me it’s his table. I had to find a waitress to get me another table, unfortunately tables were nearly full until i saw 4-5 guests about to leave, but there’s a kid so foods were all over the place near the baby seat. I asked the waitress to clean the table and floor so that i can get seated, it took maybe 5 minutes for them start doing the cleaning and they seemed not be aware of the inconvenience they brought to customer. When my friend came and found the table is still not ready, we started looking for other table and there were two guests about to leave, so we finally got seated. Apart from the poor experience during breakfast, the sink in the room was not clean at all, since I was pretty tired, i decided not to argue with the hotel which i now think i should have done it. When i checked out, i told front desk what i have been through and she was very sorry about it. She offered me free afternoon tea or buffet dinner which is kind, but i didn’t want to go the hotel again.

Nanjing vacation

It was convenient to where I wanted to go thoughout the city.

I liked the Property Location, Amenities, Hospitality & most importantly, the Helping Attitude of the Hotel Staff

The hotel is very clean. It is close to subway. Many restaurants are near by. Great view. The staff are very nice.

The staff are the best thing going at this hotel, the only thing i prefer is a ground level lobby, but its not a problem its just more convenient.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are starting to show a bit of wear, but not a dealbreaker. Conveniently located next to the XuanWu subway station (2min walk) that will connect you to every major tourist attraction in the area. Would highly recommend to anyone going through Nanjing!

Business trip

Stayed for a business trip. Hotel was very comfortable, large rooms and excellent level from the friendly & helpful staff.

3 nights stay, the staffs are helpful and the hotel was surprisingly kept in good condition and cleanliness when comparing with previously stay about 2 years before, happy to see they have changed their water tap handle to single instead of two separate for hot and cold water which I complained years before. The seasonal tastes restaurant on 23rd floor offers ¥99 dinner buffet for guest!! Great tastes and value!!

There is a beautiful scenery, near the subway station, eating is also very convenient There are super market, a lot of snack bars, shopping malls and so on.

Great location， walking distance to Xuanwu lake. Good breakfast with different menu for everyday.

Disappointing

I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and notice that now it is becoming rather tired. The service staff seem limited an less motivated than at other business hotels in major Chinese cities. Room service was sold out of both items I tried to order and the wifi was weak and only intermittently available. Disappointing.

Good hotel that has declined over the years. During the stay there were elevator problems.

Great hotel in Nanjing

The Westin is the kind of hotel that strives to make you as comfortable as possible. Everything we asked for, they were able to make happen. Despite not having the twin bed room we requested available when we checked in, they gave us an extra bed in the room for free and moved us the next day to the type of room we requested. They even moved our luggage to the new room. The beds are soft and comfortable. The hotel is a five minute walk to the Xuanwumen subway station. It has a beautiful pool although you have to wear swim caps.

Dependable service with the best hotel scent

I've been going to the Westin Nanjing for 5 years because of the excellent and friendly staff, and the best hotel scent, actually a tie with Wynn casinos. The location and value are good. Only negative is the breakfast buffet is expensive, but so are many hotels.

Close walk to metro!

Superb location and close walk to Xuanwu Lake Park and Xuanwu Lake subway (4 mins walk). Although hotel is a little bit dated, service makes up the difference! Good place to stay

Nice 5 star hotel strategically located in Nanjing

It's generally a pleasant stay in the hotel, with impeccable service and awesome rooms with splendid views of the city of Nanjing and Xuanwu Lake. Hotel's breakfast was exorbitant and not worth it though.

I would stay here again! The hotel is conveniently close to the Blue metro line. It also has direct access to an attached shopping mall.

My favorite hotel in Nanjing

Every visit is the same (9 times in the past 3 years) The staff is super - personable and helpful. This hotel also has it's own aroma fragrance - that is ultra pleasant, based on white tea oil. The location is excellent and the rates offer excellent value. Earl Marek, Toronto, ON Canada

Not bad for business stays

Great service and friendly staff made it s pleasant stay but compromised cleanliness was an issue. The bathroom and shower were especially not thoroughly cleaned and a bit outdated (moldy in places).

Overall good experience. The food in the restaurant and buffet was horrible and also pricey

Lovely hotel

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. Some of the staff seemed to be new to the hospitality industry but everyone was very friendly and tried their best to be helpful. We had a very comfortable room with a great view and the hotel location is excellent. Minor downside - the hotel is on the top floors of a very tall building with only 3 lifts to service all the floors so there can be a long wait to get between the rooms and other parts of the hotel.

Great hotel - thoroughly recommended. A bit on the expensive side. Staff are super helpful and very friendly. The food is a good quality.

Clean and in a good location

PROS: Room was clean and roomy. English speaking staff were accommodating and attentive. CONS: In-room coffee maker was filthy. Only 2 elevators. rude awakening at 10am by the laundry service lady. CONCLUSION: Overall, a decent choice if you're visiting Nanjing. Location was good and the room was decent.

Amazing Hotel Room

Hotel room was amazing, very spacious and bed was very comfortable! Gym is fully equipped and very nice! Pool is nice too. Downsides of the hotel is elevator takes forever, food is expensive and labeled "healthy" yet they serve french fries with almost every plate.

Nice hotel at good value

The hotel's location is very convenient, the entrance of Xuanwuhu park is just at the cross street of the hotel and the hotel itself connects to a big shopping mall which you can find few nice restaurants and a starbucks cafe at ground floor. The hotel's swimming pool and gym is a bit distant as you will need to walk a long connecting way to the different side of the building, as they are actually located in a residence building instead of Westin itself. The overall experience of this hotel is good, the breakfast buffet has lot of choices, room is clean and spacious, a good choice for both business and family travellers at good value.

This is a very good hotel including its management settings and services. The swiming pool is the best I have seen. Its is clean, big and having a good view for its surrounding. The big window is looking at the lake at the hotels front.

great new hotel in nanjing

We stayed at this new hotel in Nanjing for 5 nights. It was our first visit to Nanjing and the hotel was in its "soft" opening stage. Everyone was extremely accommodating, the included breakfast with the Expedia promotional rate was excellent with a novice but attentive, efficient staff under watchful management. The nonsmoking king room was more than satisfactory and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location was great, about 5 minutes to the lake area and several restaurants. We would happily return to this hotel.
