Great city hotel with loads of personality - its very “expected” property and if there for a conference no better property

Absolutely loving our stay at this hotel. The staff are very very friendly and cannot do enough to assist you. Highly recommend this hotel. In walking distance to V&A Waterfront restaurants and shopping. Great place to stay!!

An outstanding hotel in a beautiful town

The Westin Cape Town is nothing short of outstanding. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, in addition to be competent, professional and attentive, and it was a pleasure to interact with them. The design is modern and sleek, complemented by superb flower arrangements. The rooms are spacious and clean. The morning breakfast buffet is one of the best I have EVER experienced. We had an amazing stay and we highly recommend this hotel to anybody wishing to explore beautiful Cape Town.

Cape Town Getaway

Friendly staff. Safe area & that matters in South Africa.

Room cleaners were suboptimal. One day had no new towels, asked for 2 towels from staff in hall,. Would only give me one. Inconsistent cleaning Breakfast buffet was substandard. IMO hard to screw up but they managed with rancid nuts, stale bread. Lady who made eggs made mistakes, was very gruff. One day they substituted cows milk instead of oat milk resulting in considerable distress to our party. I asked for late check out (I am gold) and was refused but the next day asked again and got it

Convinient fot a short stay.

The Westin is an institution. Its not the most savy but its reliable, safe and efficient with highly trained proffesional staff. What is says on the packaging is what you will find in the box. It has one dinning area where all meals of basic and safe farye are served, an excellent spa and pool facility on the iconic 19th floor and has easy access to all commercial parts of Capetown, and ofcourse the best conference facilities in town. Remains my go to home in Capetown

This is my 3 time at the Westin, the place is great. The food though could be better. Amazing views, great gym and very convenient location.

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we felt warm energy and kindness from the staff members. The facilities were well maintained and beautiful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The pool and spa were really clean and lovely.

Sadly this first class hotel with beatiful decor friendly staff and wonderful amenities and facilities let itself and me down by being mercenary and horrendously slow in rectifying a problem I faced due to their error. On arrival i gave a card to the reception staff for extras as I had already prepaid for my 8 night stay. At check in 5000 rand was charged to my account. I queried this and was told that it was just a ‘hold’. However this hold gobbled up more than half of the spending money I had collected in my global money account to use for the trip. Once I realised this I asked for the hold to be removed and my travelling companion used another card to clear the 1000 massage charge that had been charged to the room. This request to cancel the hold was made on aug 2nd & all charges on the room cleared then. Yet it is now august 11th , 3 days since I left the hotel & I have not had my money returned. The most damaging part is that for half of my trip I had to resort to the embarrassing position of borrowing money from my friend to fund my trip. On friday 4th when my funds were exhausted and I was unable to use my card I had to return to the hotel to eat and place the charges on my room. When I left the hotel only 2200 of charges remained on the room, yet no money was returned. On august 9th the day after I left Cape town a further 2350 rand was taken out of my account without permission. My bank still has no idea when the 5000 rand will be returned to me.

The staff was simply amazing in every way possible and they did everything possible in order to make sure we had stay that we will never forget, I would not hesitate coming back to see these wonderful smiles, whether it was Kelly, Tamlyn, Carlo, Ramsey, Bevelynne and everybody else

We had a wonderful stay. As with all the places we have been throughout South Africa, the team was very gracious and hospitality top notch. The hotel is conveniently located. Only downside is the inroom dining service can result in inconsistent quality. However, breakfast buffet was first class. The hotel pristine. Spa and pool amazing. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with elegantly designed rooms, great amenities and blazing fast wi-fi. Executive lounge view is wonderful, and we can’t commend Olga highly enough for looking after us - despite a busy conference we always felt as though we had personal service, and nothing was too much trouble. Will absolutely stay again when next in Cape Town.

A few issues this time

We always have a good experience at the Westin but a few things need to be pointed out. This time the room was very dusty. The pillows were terrible. Both pillows were soft and offered no support. The breakfast options - is it possible to maybe include chicken or lamb sausages for those ppl who don’t eat pork or beef?

I liked everything. The property is beautiful.

Great location as a base for a weeks break. Concierge are fantastic. The team in the exec lounge were superb, and the views are stunning. Great Spa.

Top Business Class hotel at an affordable rate

From check in to check out, the overall experience- breakfast, restaurant staff, the spa and the hair salon - was excellent. This hotel ticks all the boxes for comfort and location. We had an issue with the pillows being too soft and one call to service express - and we got “firmer” pillows.

In my dozens of hotel stays around the world, never have I experienced so much hospitality, friendliness, and flexibility. From day one until checkout, the staff did everything in their power to make me feel at home. I will definitely be back.

Excellent hotel only marred by a visit to the spa where we found a filthy unusuable jaccuzi and untreated dirty pool. The staff corrected this for our second visit.

awesome spot

Pool although it states heated was not- disappointing for the children. Should be stricter control on people in the exec lounge speaking on their phones on speaker mode. Other guests are really not interested Breakfast service not as good as it should be for a 5 star hotel. Otherwise a great hotel and still very enjoyable.

Excellent service. Comfortable stay. The valet parking was very much appreciated. The room could use some maintenance. There was red wine spilled on the carpet which was not taken care of. But all in all, it was a good hotel which I will definitely stay at again.

The toilet was broken made too much noise. Was not asked for my credit card at checkin and had to be paying for my room service.

I can honestly say this was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The entire staff was very polite & knowledgeable about the area. The food was great along with the alcohol options & the service was top notch. Lameez was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! She made sure that our stay was more than a vacation; it felt like a home! We enjoyed all of the amenities and the location was perfect!!!!!!!! This is the only hotel we will stay at when we are in Cape Town!!!!!!! Absolutely superb!!!!!!!

Nice hotel. Bad spa

Enjoyed the hotel. The service was great. Food quality was great. Soa was disappointing. The therapists lack skill and technique. Undoubtedly one of the worst massages not just me have been for there at tge heavenly spa but also pther family members on this trip. The spa needs to get rid of their useless therapists and get skilled ones who know what they are doing.

Checked in and the process was effortless. The food at the restaurant (starter) was overpriced for what you get, tasted good though. The burger looked good but was a bit too alive for me. The room had a shortage of coffee,milk and sugar. Breakfast was excellent, but the muffins let it down. Had a couples spa treatment, unfortunately there wasn't any gowns for myself or my wife. Valet parking is a nice touch and the staff are friendly. Room is clean, but limited TV channels as compared to other hotels we have stayed at.

Elegant hotel in Cape Town centre

The staff was outstanding and our stay was very comfortable. For Breakfast the hotel has to comply with the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 rules, which means a la carte menu and it usually takes long. Rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. We will be returning back

Shame about exec lounge

Lovely exec room with lounge access from 3:30 for afternoon tea. However at 3:50 no sandwiches on display had to ask for these and crisps no veg option available at all😥 never got crisps. Nothing much on display at all sadly lacking afternoon tea we stayed for 3 nights but arrived late so this was our only chance. The girl on the lounge reception was fabulous though

Overall ok. Breakfast service v slow. Every day I asked for tea and it only showed up twice (out of seven requests). Failed to process Bonvoy details which is frustrating.

Solid luxury in the centre of town.

Very nice hotel in the centre of town. When we arrived it felt far off from the waterfront, but with the hotel waterfront shuttle that leaves every 15 minutes it's actually quite close. The spa area is really nice with a good gym and both dry and steam saunas as well as a pool.

I just finished an incredible 12-night stay here. The room and bed was very spacious and comfortable, the large and eclectic breakfast buffet was to die for (👍😊), the hotel’s restaurant dinners were superb, and the concierge / guest relations staff were supremely helpful (with specific kudos to Melanie and Athini!!). Our stay at the Westin was our introduction to Cape Town at the conclusion of a 50th wedding anniversary African holiday. To say our treatment at the Westin was outstanding is an understatement. We have travelled extensively & never experienced hospitality to this degree. In particular we would like to acknowledge duty manager Jason Muller who went over & above anything we could have anticipated to ensure the memory of a lifetime, even to the extent of his phone call on our arrival home to ensure a safe & pleasant journey back to Australia. We are already planning another visit to Cape Town & the Westin next year. This imposing modern upmarket hotel is located pretty much in between the CBD & the exciting foodie capital of this amazing city V&A wharf.Both an easy walk or a complementary hotel shuttle is available to V & A wharf . Jason & your beautiful team, thank you so much.

A superb hotel in every sense; the facilities, staff, food.

Amazing hotel with excellent staff. everything was great. the only thing I would like to comment on is their indoor pool is part of the spa, therefore, it is not allowed for less than 16 years to get there.

The lobby was nice. The bar needs a little music tho.

Amazing service. The concierge was helpful in recommending restaurants and even booking reservations for us. The shuttle to the waterfront is a plus.
