Excellent location service and food

Always love staying at the Wentworth!!

Well maintained historical property with wonderful amenities and dining options. Very clean, professional and friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. The included buffet breakfast was extensive and pantries with food/beverage options very accessible. Our 1st stay and we will return.

Terrific! The staff were welcoming and gracious and we felt so welcome. There was no stress in this beautifully upkept Inn!

We've been here several times it's very elegant bordering on what I would consider to be true luxury. Prices are anywhere from say $275 to $400 depending on time of year. Bedrooms are very cozy and comfortable beds are very nice showers are very nice most rooms have a large jacuzzi as well although we really don't use those too much. Food in the dining room is very good. You can either do a la carte or you could just add it to the room as well which is what we did this time around. The only thing I would watch out for we were in room 402 which in itself is an outstanding room really large large King nice gas stove huge jacuzzi. The only thing is the room directly above us which is 408 can be exceptionally noisy. The reason why is there's no carpeting on the wood floors upstairs. The couple that stayed were exceptionally noisy to the point that we were not the only guests who talked about that.

A beautiful renovation!

Property was recently renovated and it looks great. Wonderful amenities thoughout, as well.

We loved our stay at The Wentworth. Jackson is a beautiful village and the hotel is in a perfect location, right across from the Jackson Ski Touring Center which has glorious trails. Our room was lovely and the beds were extremely comfortable. The Wentworth has a lovely large lounge area with roaring fires and lots of comfortable couches and seating. Food was good and the staff was so kind. Everyone couldn't so enough for you.

Spacious suite. Plumbing problems at hotel delayed check-in. Upgrade was downgraded. Dining room service very good.

Alot of history

Staff were friendly and professional. Suite was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was very nice with jacuzzi and steam shower. Food was tasty and well presented

Older Inn

The inn is quaint with well appointed decor. The staff members were helpful but we did have some big inconveniences. We got to our room and noticed it was pretty cold. We chalked it up to it being cold outside and upped the heat. We woke up freezing with the heat not working at all. The window had a cold draft pouring through. My husband went to take a shower and there was no water. Staff quickly came to check on the issues. We were told we could stay in the room but maintenence would be in working. We left so they could work on the issues. We were told the pipes were frozen. When we came back we were offered the ability to stay in the room or switch to another. We decided to move all our stuff over. I took a shower in the new room. I plugged the hair dryer in and it instantly sparked and started smoking. We brought it downstairs and they gave us a new one. Freezing, having no water, being shuffled, sparking electrical..was not the most relaxing experience. I was surprised the staff did not comp anything for our inconveniences. We orderd a couple margaritas for the room. They were good but small & pricey. Overall if we didn't have all the technical issues our stay would have been better. I feel it's an older property that updated cosmetics but not the mechanics. We stayed at the same time that one of the condos of the Wentworth Association burned down which was a total loss. The cause of the fire has not been determined.

We try to visit The Wentworth every year. It is a beautiful relaxing property that allows one to kick back and enjoy the visit for a few days. Our room had every convenience we could ask for. The dining experience was warm and wonderful, everything was delicious and the service was friendly.

First class

Okay we've stayed here several times over the past few years. Always enjoy it. The staff is excellent you got a good deal for the money I feel. Definitely very popular with the wedding segments. They do have a nice pool very convenient. It's a liner type pool and to put it honestly it's a nice pool but it does need a few touches on it. The other thing that I've mentioned this in the past is that there's a few little areas that are care worn around the the hotel. The support columns that you see around the big wrap around ports definitely need some attention to detail. Inside everything is very nice definitely things are kept up very well there I think just the outside needs a couple touches to detail but other than that I mean it's a very nice place to stay. We plan and probably being back sometime in the fall.

The Wentworth was just beautiful - like being transported to a bygone age of service and style . The room was excellent well equipped spacious and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and variety Staff were courteous and helpful Whilst there was no coffee making facility in the room each floor featured a guest pantry which was well equipped with soft drinks and snacks which were replenished and supplemented with fresh baked goods throughout the day. I would LOVE to stay at the Wentworth again in the future - a little bit of heaven! I will remember the experience for a long time to come

The room I booked was not the room shown in the picture. It was quite different and less attractive.

Amazing stay at the Wentworth. Impeccably clean - I’ve never stayed in a hotel/inn so clean. Staff were all incredibly friendly and very accommodating. Our room was wonderful - so spacious and extremely comfortable bed. All linens were beautiful. Complimentary snacks/pantry was above and beyond - a real treat. Grounds are beautiful with plenty of activities outside - volleyball, cornhole, swimming, etc. Nice and close to white mountain for our hikes. Great stay and will be back.

Great place for family.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, we only spent one night there while passing thru traveling to Canada but family all wished we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend buying the breakfast in advance when booking it’s much cheaper to prepay than pay at the restaurant and the breakfast was great.

We visited for our anniversary and loved the hotel. Would describe it as upscale cozy. We had dinner at the restaurant at the main dining room and it was fabulous. The entire experience was wonderful and we will return again.

Old place

The room feels outdated, lacking modern amenities like USB chargers or even clocks. The pillows are uncomfortably firm, making it difficult for kids to sleep. The breakfast buffet is disappointing for vegetarians, offering limited options only pastries, a small bowl of berries, and potatoes without even basic bread. Previous reviews mentioned in-room snacks, but our room was devoid of any food items. There is a pantry in the building with some juice, yogurt, and coffee, but it's not as extensive as expected.

Great location for a quick ski getaway. Great accommodations and service.

The property is very old and not updated. The rooms were small and carpets and tile had some stains/dirt. The overall experience wasn’t bad but not a 5 star stay. The area was nice though and central to many attractions and restaurants.

We liked our queen single it was sparking clean and very comfortable. The downside it was quite small, and the room rates are variable day to day. The snack/breakfast area was a great perk. Note, during the winter the pool is not available. The bar area was cozy but lacked any craft beers. We had to go out for good beer. The location is great for cross country skiing. All in all, it was a good mid week getaway.

Stay was ok. Spa was good but very surprised to see the restaurant and bar closed on a Monday night.

We vacation in Jackson twice/year and often stay at the Wentworth.

Beautifully restored vintage hotel in perfect village in NH ski country

They charged me extra at the desk, which I didn't mind paying but that would be good to include in the main descriptions.

Very clean

Fine for one night.

The hotel lobby is beautiful. Upon arrival no one greeted us and I had to ask if there was a check in area. We decided to eat and have a drink at the Alpine bar which was very disappointing. The food was horrible and when we were asked how our meal was we shared the soup was cold and the lettuce was warm and wilted. No one made an attempt to correct or adjust our bill and food is expensive there. The rooms are quaint but the bathroom was old. Toilet didn’t flush and bathtub was rusted so we didn’t use for our shower. The breakfast was delightful and Carol our server shared all about the area.

Lovely Visit, Would Consider Staying Again

The Wentworth is a beautiful property. The staff were fantastic! The food was incredible! Loved the location, within walking distance of so many amenities. The room was smallish, the climate control was too hot with no way to lower it. The air was so dry we both had trouble sleeping. The bathroom was small with very little counter space. Very small complaints, because we really did have a wonderful stay.

Luxurious bathtub, outstanding breakfast included.

Golf available and convenient. Excellent food. Great place to stay.

casual luxury at a sane price

A delightful affordable beautiful hotel with replenished snacks on each floor and other personal touches, very pleasant rooms, easy drive from Storyland and other area attractions and restaurants. Wish I could have stayed longer -- we hope to stay here again next time we're in the area.

Deb and Susan really knew the room options and so were helpful with the reservation, Viviana warm and highly professional with receiving us, and Jean and Patty served us wonderful breakfasts each morning. The pool wasn't heated and housekeeping perhaps has vacuum heads too big to get into the corners and under the bed and nightstands as these were dirty including a soda bottle from previous guest. Checkout was seamless and all in all it is a most charming historic property which the owner/manager has respectfully modernized. Would definitely return.

Clean, beautiful, staff friendly and helpful

The Wentworth Hotel is very quaint but updated. There are 2 options to eat in the bar or the restaurant both are lovely. The grounds were beautiful and the fire pits gave ambiance to the place in the evening. The rooms were small but updated and the bathroom also. Would go back and looking into renting the 2- 3 bedroom condos

The hotel was beautiful, the service impeccable, and the food was outstanding! We would visit again, and would recommend the Wentworth to anyone interested in a lovely stay.

Cute place

Well kept up. Smaller rooms but beautiful decor and lots of hang out space in lobby. Small tiny town and everything closes at 5pm but that seems to be the normal around there. Have food prepared for dinner time since everything closes. The guy bartender was rude and obviously didnt want to work either day we were there, but all other staff at check in and restaurant were absolutely great and attentive. I would recommend this place, just dont bother the bartender for anything.

The stay was grwat. Had a room with private hot tub. First night hot tub was over heated. The next day they fixed ut and discounted the first night. Excellent sevices.

Our stay at The Wentworth was fantastic. The lobby is gorgeously inviting, the Alpine has fantastic offerings, and the dining service was great. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. From our room, we could hear the babbling of a brook adding to its tranquility. The pantry was an added surprise and the homemade ice cream was a delicious treat. One night was not enough and we can’t wait to return.

It was an amazing stay. Beautiful property with plenty of space and amenities. Local to great mountains, restaurants, and story land!

The stay was fine, the room was pretty nice, but we were supposed to have a sleeper sofa and did not. We didn’t go to the front desk to complain because we had already moved into the room and could make it work before we realized the mistake. There was some disagreement in the morning from the kiddos because of the mistake. Otherwise the accommodations seemed pretty good, there are snacks available on each floor, including pastries and stuff if you want a quick breakfast in the morning.

Very small town feel, and easy to get around. Local streams and water falls close. Golf is at your back door, great

A true gem. Great staff -- friendly and helpful. Nicely appointed room (recently renovated, I believe). Very comfortable bed and bedding. Pantry on each floor a nice touch with great cookies in the evening. Bar menu is fantastic -- creative, clever and very nicely prepared.

Beautiful Inn. We only stopped for a night as we were passing through the area but wish we were there longer.

The property and our stay was great! Only problem was being over charged on credit card. But after bring it to their attention everything was taken care of. We really loved our stray and short distance to the beautiful Waterfalls and natural pools. :)

Nice inn with warm lodge feel. Nice facilities with fun activities. Would stay here again.

Kid friendly!

Great stay at The Wentworth. Courteous staff. Large, clean room with a comfy bed. Plenty of windows to enjoy the view. Daily treats throughout the day - awesome homemade ice cream!! Large porch to just sit and relax. Walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Highly recommend.

Our window ac unit had major gap between the sill and unit a towel was used by “maintenance” to address the issue. Room we stayed in was previously used for a pet as there was pet hair on carpet still as well as crumbs. Room safe didn’t work properly. Also this inn takes a $50 a NIGHT for room incidental. Having stayed at very high end hotels I have NEVER had a $50 per night incidental hold on my cc for an inn in Nh. Not being able to use our room safe, cleanliness of our room, window ac units not properly installed and they hold $50 a night for incidentals? Ludicrous!!! Look elsewhere if efficiency, cleanliness, and honesty are important to you and your family while traveling.

Beautiful historical Inn, in a beautiful village

Jackson is our favorite town in New Hampshire. It is such a cute little village and we have never stayed at The Wentworth Inn before. We are so glad that we did! The inn has such beautiful historical charm. It is right in the middle of the village, allowing you to walk around and enjoy everything without having to find a place to park. The grounds are beautiful, the hotel is tastefully decorated and very clean & tidy. Also, there a snacks for you in the afternoon, each floor has a pantry, which we found very helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you are planning a trip to Jackson. We cannot wait to return!

From the moment we arrived to the last minute of our stay we had a lovely and relaxing experience. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious, clean and welcoming. We loved the snack bar (great idea), enjoyed rocking in the chairs on the porches, and sipping a glass of wine by the firepit. Dinner was delicious and breakfast hit the spot. Definitely worth a return tripe to experience the Wentworth hospitality in another season.

Great property,

The Wentworth had a lovely cozy character to it. It was comfortable, well maintained, and had good amenities; bicycles, outdoor pool, lawn games etc. Staff were very attentive to details and responded to questions/requests. Loved the pantry area which offered cookies, chips, coffee too. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Some great restaurants within the town of Jackson as well.

The restaurant was superb. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. This is a 4 star accommodation in my opinion.

Nice Historic Property; Courteous Service

Wonderful zip code and property. Stayed one night while skiing in the area. I know some locals said they are "nervous" with the recent change of ownership... natural but I was unaware of this. Top notch hospitality. Very gracious check in, check out, bar and restaurant service. Friendly, courteous. My bathroom had not been renovated but the room was cozy (smaller side). Common areas are mountain hunting lodge - warm and well appointed. Water and snack pantry a really nice touch. Will certainly return.

Wonderful stay!

We got a great low rate and had a very small room, but did get an upgrade because of a few things not working in the room. However, the hotel overall was very enjoyable. The lobby and lounge areas were very cozy and inviting. The pantry with snacks and drinks on each floor was a surprise treat that was a nice touch. The hotel is in an excellent location for cross country skiing and snowshoeing and also to walk to restaurants. Staff were also very friendly.

Friendly and welcoming staff!!

The staff was exceptional! Great buffet breakfast. The bathtub desperately needed to be replaced, the finish was gone and looked dirty-but I’m sure it was cleaned as well as it could be. The carpet in the hall needs to be cleaned. They’re working on the place and these issues may be addressed. I would definitely stay again.
