The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the location was chosen because of of the Tube stop. BUT the bathroom was tiny, no shower door, the toilet was against the wall on one side and against the shower on the other side, super tight. We had never experienced zero staff on site, We are accustomed to staff and any provisions (Contental breakfast) or any staff to give us local pointers. Rooms were fair in price, after our stay I would definitely say our experience was underwhelming !
I am a well travelled individual. This is one of the worst places I have stayed. Really poor room which was in a state of disrepair, curtains hanging off the rails, dirty, smelly, stains all over the mattress, air con doesn’t work, windows don’t open, faces onto main road and poor sound insulation from the noise. Walls all stained, cushions dirty and stained, no chair in the room so nowhere to sit. Just dreadful. Reported the problems both to the ‘hotel’ and Expedia and got no help at all. There is no one there at the venue to deal with all this stuff so you have no options to resolve. My advice is to just totally avoid this company and their rooms which are just poor airbnb type arrangements.
Xx
We hated the bathroom, when we shower the water splashed out of it and there is no cover so the water is everywhere and no lock. Other then that everything is fine, just the bathroom.
Decent but hot
Decent value for money clean comfortable but slight letdown was aircom which was in the room and powered would not work portable alternative ineffective.
Very noisy room at front of property. Could hear street noise, sidewalk noise and other guests entering and leaving. Water floods bathroom during showers. Location was good.
It was quiet in the building, some road noise. In general I would book it again. Easy to a bus or tube connection.
I didn't receive any information before I got there took forever in phone with Expedia to find out on top of the 1450. . They wanted another 50 . Dollars a night for the room then there is no way to lock door from inside..the bathroom windows were open with no screen.. there was a dirty towel behind some white cabinet next to bed..
Made our concert experience so much better
After having a bad start to our trip, we got to the hotel. After contacting the put of hours people we got in no problem and we were able to relax and enjoy our concert! The room was comfy and ideal location 😊😊
Great virtual concierge. In a nice area.
The hotel has London charm. Perfect for location as it is close to all attractions and transportation. Lots of restaurants and equally charming places to stop and have a coffee and sweet treat. Communications were excellent from staff with all pertinent info regarding how to check in etc.
Ideal location
Ideal location for getting into London catching bus 24 to get Camden Town is the best way and see sights Only a short walk to Underground Good area
This is not a hotel as it name states. It's an airbnb. There's no receptionist. No elevator. It's in a nice area but the room is disappointing. You don't get the room as pictured in the booking. You Get your own trash out. Room is good for a solo traveler that's slim. Hallways are too narrow and steps too deep. Bathroom excessively small. A person over 140lbs would struggle to use the tiny shower with no door that creates a puddle as you shower. The shower and the toilet seat are separated by a glass wall. The distance between the glass wall and the toilet squeezes your legs and body. The bed seemed clean however woke up with bug bites on my face. Had to move to another hotel.
You’re located in a prime area steps from Victoria Station and transport links. Great dining and shopping are a stone’s throw away
Small and pricey
Good location, walkable to Victoria station and nearby London sights. Clean but small room and bed. Could barely pass by the foot of the bed to get around. (Nothing like online photo) Small (non-Smart) TV. Awkward en-suite bathroom location up a steep staircase of 4 steps within the room. Not good in the night especially with no handrail. (Room 10) As others have mentioned, the stairs to get to the rooms are quite narrow and I can’t imagine trying to get up with suitcases (we only had hand luggage) The room had almost no storage. Check-in was easy enough through a keypad code which had been sent by What’s App and email. (No one met us as other reviews had mentioned) It was pretty straightforward. Also received an email day after check-in to see if we needed anything. Overall, an ok place for a couple of nights but not worth the money.
Close to Victoria station.
Avoid this hotel at all costs, not an enjoyable stay. Good location, poor customer service, room too small, poor sound proofing, front step needs fixing
Perfect location near to Metro-train station Instruction well detailed for acces to building and room, comfortable room
Ten unit hotel in an older converted flat building. Good bed and shower with lots of hot water. Good air conditioning. Close to Victoria Station, Coach Station and Tube. Good cab availability. Friendly and responsive staff. Will stay here again.
Great location, quiet and comfy
A great location, just a 10min walk to Victoria station which has plenty of connecting services to get you all over town. Walking distance to some of the major attractions too. Comfy bed and spacious room although the pillows were a little flat. Also be warned there was only a privacy curtain between the room and bathroom, not a door so newly dating couples be advised haha
Our first time in a contactless hotel without staff on site so it was a new experience that took some time getting use to. Our biggest complaint was that the toilet seat slide around and needed securing and the shower consisted of a curtain and a slab of glass and you had to be very careful not to bang your head on the glass.
I was nervous - the photos online made the room look small. And it wasn't exactly spacious, but for one person, it was perfect. I was in the front room by the main door and was worried about noise - from the street, I had no issues. From other guests coming and going, the front door was a bit loud. But if you can avoid room #4 (or if they can add a sign about not slamming the door), it would be fine! The whatsapp response team was incredible and I was glad to get an early check-in when my flight landed an hour early!
Discount stay in cool area
Great location but getting a little run down. Needs some TLC on carpet and furniture. The price was good and management was responsive.
Effecient for it's price
The building was central to everything that we needed. It's close to the underground station, the Apollo Victoria and Victoria Palace, Buckingham Palace the Embassy's Westminster Abbey and the Parliament Building (Big Ben). The room was spacious, the entrance was warm and welcoming no key cards to fumble with just need to remember a code. Unfortunately the stairs aren't great. I have mobility issues so I struggle with stairs at the best of times but the stairs in the building are not even and it makes you feels as if you have drunk a few barrels before walking up or down them. We struggled to find the bathroom not realising that is was behind a floor to ceiling mirror that looks like a walk-in wardrobe, again the floors are uneven and it's quite claustrophobic. The only majority disadvantage was the mould on the shower curtain. Also said that breakfast was included in the price but we didn't see a communal dining area also there is no staff on sight Over all we enjoyed our stay
Overall we enjoyed our stay. It is a great location near Victoria station and the room was newly renovated. However, considering the price we paid, the size of the room was very small and the hotel does not offer any amenities.
The location was excellent. Relatively quiet street. Pubs close by. Walking distance to Buckingham place. Room was clean. Staff answered all questions promptly. Downside room was small, which was ok traveling alone but would be issue if traveling with my wife. My room was on the 2nd floor(read 3rd fl). 4 flights of very narrow steep stairs. Not senior friendly but typical of accommodation in the area.
Hotel horror!
I was completely mislead! This was no hotel, it has no service and is like an air b & b. A town house that feels like a college dorm room. My room had scuffed walls and was in the basement! My window didn’t open. I worried if there was a fire I couldn’t get out. Also my room was next door to the housekeeping and was extremely noisy! No counter space in the bathroom whatsoever and a dirty toilet. I had to have all my toiletries on the floor below the sink…this was dreadful. I’ve always had good luck with Hotels.com but not this time. I tried to find another hotel but everything in the area that was decent was already booked. Regretful
Won’t stay again
I had room 4 - which is next to front door and on road side. It’s very noisy and got little sleep between people coming in and out: and traffic. Air-con only gives heat as settings were locked. I would guess other rooms would be ok; just my luck to be next to door and on road side. To check emails for access code to get in and what room you’re in - as there’s no reception staff. Room was clean and bed comfy on positives.
Lovely room & great staff
Finally found a nice clean hotel in Victoria. The room & bathroom were very clean & had all the basics for a short stay. It’s a self check in but I was given all the instructions on the day & happened to bump into one of the hotel staff who was very helpful. I’ll def stay again.
Clean and quiet and affordable.
Too small for us, sometimes uncomfortable
Nice place, nice area, nice personnel. Good place to stay!
Stop here for the weekend 18th March till the 20th March 2023 really enjoyed our stay staff was really help full as we arrived early and asked if we could leave our luggage at hotel so we could go and have a look and with in minutes thay had replied on the WhatsApp number to say shure we will set the key lock to let you in early really nice hotel we’ll cosy made me feel at home thanks agen 😁👌
The room was great - very large for London hotels and the location was super convenient. Pubs, restaurants, supermarkets within a couple of hundred metres and Victoria station a 6-7 minute walk. Check in was easy. I’ll stay there again next time I’m in London.
This hotel was perfect for what we needed in Victoria, close to theatre, restaurants and bars. Room was modern, clean and had all we needed for a one night stay and at a brilliant price for London.
property was clean, basic and in a really good location
Great location. Close to Victoria station.
Had two night here with partner. Cosy room with comfy bed, great heating and Hot shower. Easy self check in once i read instructions properly 😂 Owner messaged during stay to check everything ok and was kind enough to offer late check out to help us find alternative travel arrangements due to train strike.
I thought the value was decent and overall it was clean. That being said, there were only windows in the bathroom, there were no smaller washclothes and the rooms walls and furniture had some scuffs and scrapes. The walls were very thing and the water went out one morning, which admittedly was fixed within a few hours. London accommodations can be a struggle so I try to set my expectations accordingly. The room was generally clean and the staff was responsive it just wasn't terribly nice overall.
If you are reading this review, please reconsider when thinking to book this place for your stay. I think this place ruined my entire travelling experience. First off, they do “self-checkin” by sending you an email a day in advance with your access code. So if you were someone like me who does not have internet/network to check, good luck standing outside the door (during winter time). The worst of all is, the room looks NOTHING like the pictures online, they are small with empty bottles of shampoos for their customers. It’s like living in someone’s apartment with limited space. I am trying to sleep at night but can still hear “roommates” coming in and out of the premise, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. The only two good things about the stay are the location and it looks somewhat clean (I think), that’s about it. To sum it up, this is just a scam. (I honestly have no idea how people here rated this 5/5, did you guys get paid for it?)
we stayed at the hotel this weekend, and we had a very good time. very friendly staff and i felt very at home in the hotel. This hotel is definitely recommended and if I were to go to London again I would definitely stay here again.
There was no one to let us on the property when we were checking in. Pictures were deceiving. Room is extremely small
Small but comfortable
Small but comfortable room. Bathroom was tiny and difficult to dry hair using attached dryer in corner as only the footwell space between toilet, hand basin and shower to reach it. Could do with more milk with tea facilities as 4 sachets isnt enough for 2 people for 3 nights but seems trivial to ask someone to come specially just to replace those
Customer service was great
The furnishings were very tasteful and a good location
Staff less hotel
There is no reception desk and no staff visible in this hotel. You have to complete a registration form before arrival and you get codes to access the property and room. It is very strange. I didn't like this and couldn't ask staff for the things missing in the room. There is also no breakfast. If you are OK with this the hotel was clean and well located. No lift and steep steps up or down to rooms.
Ok
Great location, and all self check, but a good service and instructions on that front. I was in a basement room ok, just feels a bit sad with no windows and a little chilly/sparse.
The shower curtain was moldy and discolored. The tea kettle was dirty and was promptly replaced. There was no elevator and no refrigerator. The location was perfect.
My room was absolutely perfect and spacious! Such a lovely room at a great and safe location with my very own little outdoor area. So happy I stayed here and cant wait to stay with them again.
Nice - all good
