Great place
Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and up to date. Great location and great restaurant/bar located on site. Will definitely stay again
Great place and awesome staff 👍
Amazing stay!
..
Clean, nicely located, and with amenities. It is a high-end Motel.
It’s our first time in Palm Springs and never had any idea where to stay upon. Checking with Expedia in looking for options near downtown Palm Springs. This hotel is a bit far if you’re gonna walk from the hotel to downtown Palm Springs, I recommend that you rent a car at the at the airport and this is this hotel comes with free parking and parking when we were there like it’s very easy access. The only downside with our stay is the safe. The lock is not working, but they gave us another spare safe but we didn’t really use it because it’s not bolted in the cabinet. but this hotel is very clean very chic. There’s two swimming pools. There’s also like a fire pit It’s the modern type fire pit where you can chill .when we were there it’s December and it’s a bit chilly at night but that place is very cozy. The room is pretty clean. They always refilled the the coffee on the Keurig machine overall it’s a decent resort for the price. I highly recommend it.
Great stay
We always choose the V when staying in Palm Springs. Lovely pool option for families away from the older, sometimes noisier pool. We always enjoy the hot tub there, even if it’s +100 degrees, and the convenience of the restaurant near the family pool is also a plus.
Great property
There was a weird smell when you first walk in. No options for food. Gigi’s Restaurant was so expensive. The rooms were updated and modern, which was nice
LOUD
Some electrical outlets didn’t work, shower products were on the floor due to broken bottle holders, no internet at the time, bar was closed at pool, and no one answered our calls to front desk. The maintenance guy was nice and efficient. Bathroom was spacious and location was good for what we needed.
Bar staff by the pool was friendly, and very customer oriented. Wish I would have received temporary wifi password the day and a half it was down.
as soon as i arrived to my room, i noticed it wasn't clean, there were some sticky substance on one of the night stands, dirty floors and a unbearable smell (old dirty rag, weed, cigars). the bed was so uncomfortable, and all the furniture were dirty and worn out. i will never return to this place. looks more like a cheap motel than a Hotel.
Do not let the pictures fool you.
The room was gross. Stains on the floor, there was crumbs/dust on the floor. Had to call them to sweep it up. The shower was dirty, towels smelled. Will not stay here again.
Room was a little dirty & lights didnt work in main room
Nice stay
Nice and clean hotel, good location
Excellent stay. Amazing pool. Loved the swing on the terrace.
Great time was had
Good
Very nice and cute stay
I have now stayed at the V twice and it has always been a great stay, so clean and the staff are always on it if you need something.
You can feel the vibe is back after Sonder was no longer part of the V. Love that the pool bar is open once again and the customer service which was absent under the Sonder is once again being provided to its customers. I was definitely not a fan of the way the V was ran under the Sonder regime.
The rooms are clean. The cleaning and maintenance staff are very nice and do a great job. However I would say the service staff aren’t very friendly. Also the pool areas day beds need to be changed out for some new cushions, they are looking very run down and dirty. That all being said this place is fabulous because they have an adults only pool that gets sun most of the day, the adults pool really makes this place amazing.
It’s right next to the mountains very nice
Over priced for the fact that they had absolutely no customer service skills, my card key code was written on a post it, there was no coffee or any morning amenities. Room service was sparse, and I had to go retrieve my own toilet paper from the lobby. I would not stay here again, it did not feel safe and my room faced an alleyway
Property was clean with nice pool areas
Excellent property located close to downtown area.
The property is renovated and has a clean modern but retro feel. It was much more than I expected since most places obviously are going to post the best pics on their site, and then you get there and it’s not so nice. But this place was nice, clean and super quiet, well after the pool party ended which was early. But it was well worth my money and especially for a last min booking
I've stayed here before when it was a Sonder property and the place seems to be going down a bit with the new management. More of a hassle now and not too much energy from the staff. Love the location for my needs, but sadly I will re-think my options next time, instead of this as my go-to.
Nice place but maintenance around the pool surrounded by rooms starts before 6am folks. Noisy work going on and a guy with a leaf blower out there now at 6:10. We called the front desk and they offered to move us to a quieter room. Yeah that’s what I want to do right now. Next time we’ll find a better quieter hotel.
compared to the photos online, the rooms looked different. not as nice as I thought it would be. I got a room that was closest to the street and so throughout the night, you can hear all the cars that drove by.
Very clean and quiet. Excellent customer service.
Hated the check in and check out with the front desk team & their marky attitudes.
I liked this property and would stay here again. It is a Sonder property. It’s nicely updated. The bathroom was lovely. I was able to check in early and check out late for a fee. I really liked the pool. Great value for the price. I would stay here again. Maybe for Splash House.
Nice
The ladies at the front desk were so polite!
Everyone except the front desk staff were AWESOME. Housekeepers, Landcapers & Bartender at the pool went above and beyond to make the stay relaxing and low key. The desk - DRAMA!!
The stay was great. Loved the room
Needs cleaning
The staff was very helpful and understanding, and the pool area is lovely. However, the rooms were not quite what I expected, as the photos seemed to be taken at an angle that made them look different. While the bathrooms appeared to be updated, the rest of the room had more of a Motel 6 feel, despite the fresh paint.
A very pleasant surprise!
The location is central to Palm Springs/ Palm dessert areas. Our room was simple and small. Limited amenities. Area around the pool was unkept and lounging chairs were dirty. The pool was heated which didn’t feel great in 90 degree weather. It should have been cool and refreshing since they also have a hot tub option.
Great price for hotel- good food at restaurant and bar by the pool, relaxed atmosphere rooms clean and cool AC
We’ve stayed a few times now at the V and it’s super affordable and convenient to downtown Palm Springs. Our only complaint is that they need to update their mattresses. Not the most comfortable and they make a lot of noise if you move in your sleep.
it’s really an old motel with an updated pool.
Cute hotel. Great amenities. So loud. I was put in a room above the restaurant and the music was so loud. Not a good placement when the hotel isn’t even close to capacity. Then I was woken up at 6am to staff talking loudly outside my room.
Hotel is modern with the mountains as a backdrop. Staff were friendly and attentive when needed. We had a pool view room where I was hoping to watch my teenage son from so he could swim on his own and I be up at the room with the little one although we overlooked the adults pool instead which we couldn’t go in because of the children of course. Would have preferred the block near the family pool. I was told there isn’t a 2 bed configuration in this block which seems silly. The hotels appears to be well designed, clean and in a good location. It has lovely decor and outdoor areas, it is located away from the main strip but not too far so it is quiet but not walking distance. Car park is convenient and the code access to the rooms. The design of the rooms is not so great, the decor is nice however the shower is poorly designed and leaks onto the bathroom floor, and the layout of the bathroom means there’s not much space at the bathroom vanity if you want to use it without closing the door. The flooring is almost like a mesh/Lino and anything light coloured leaves marks on it. It was between 43-45 degrees Celsius our whole stay and the air con in the room managed to keep up.
More for young people. The regular pool was filled with them. However the family area pool was quiet.
I’m a normal customer here. I stay here when I need to getaway. I stay here at V about 2 times a year and this time I wasn’t happy. It’s in the middle of the week with no occupants and I was put all the way in the back. I didn’t feel safe. Front desk was not accommodating
Was a very nice place to stay at
They pool has black slime all aroung it that has been there for months.. I loved this hotel about three years ago when I found it by mistake.. I have stayed many times since and it's gone downhill fast!! It's hard to watch.. soo much potential, but the basics aren't even being met.. How any manager would not be on top of this blows my mind!! It is one of the coolest pool areas I've ever hung out at.. it is different and has a get up for everyone.. At night it is super fun with a fire and a color lit pool.. and the daybeds are a game changer if you spend all day at the pool.. However.. the chairs and daybeds have not been cleaned for a long time and are nasty and need to be trashed!! The bar is filthy!! The bartender served 2 drinks on Monday 23rd..He sat there on his phone from 11-4 as it was him and I all day.. which is fine but the place is noticeabaly dirty on the surface!! Randomly... the safes are GONE from the rooms??? What??? I count on that and stayed there all this time and BAM.. no safes! I had to put my laptop and purse in the car.. what the heck V ? Sooo Much Potential.. the hotel was empty!! Where is the management?!
Overall hotel was nice with quick service. I would recommend staying here if you were with your family or your spouse. Rooms are large and comfortable.
Property was beautiful and I will definitely book this property again
be sure to like loud dance music during saturday.
Great Palm Springs hotel - it's a renovation of a previous hotel, but they did a really great job modernizing it. I've been now 3 times and definitely recommend!
This property desperately needs a deep cleaning and an update - especially now they are calling themselves a 4 stars (up from 3.5) and often charging higher rates (I noticed for another date out curiosity they are charging $439 night when Ace is charging $460 and is well recognized as a “better hotel” and the even the Saguaro is charging $225 over the same time and is also a “better hotel”). Not sure why. The adult pool was absolutely filthy with mold like substance all around the edges (the family pool had some too but less so), bathroom had peeling paint/paper and ledge parts were clearly not dusted before my stay (and likely a bit before that). Most people complain (as you can see in multiple reviews) about the crazy loud air conditioning units - which if they ever finally updated them I could understand why they are charging higher rates. The pools themselves are nice size with good loungers available, there were lots of fresh pool towels which is good and the location is very good with many walkable places to go. The V is really more like a 3 star very average kind of hotel. If not for the pool areas I’d say it’s like the Motel 6. Good place to stay for the right price but I really am hopeful they clean the mold in the pools.
The pool area were great. Plenty of cabanas and lounge chairs/ beds to choose from.
Would definitely stay there again! Staff was all super friendly. The amenities were great and the rooms were very clean!!
Lumpy bed
The bed was horrible. One side of the bed was too soft, it felt like you were going to slip off the bed because it sunk so low. It was lumpy too. Also the shower head had hair on it, strange. Otherwise, it was good.
We really enjoyed our stay here that we stayed another day. The location is close to downtown. We loved that they have 2 pools so they don’t get packed.
Dirty
This is my 3rd times staying at V palm springs. This was not what I expected, the room was dirty specially the floor was Filthy stains everywhere. The shower was not clean. The pool was pretty dirty too. It was like a ghost town didn't really see any people. Sadly to say that would probably be the last time I stay here.
It was a nice stay.
The convenience of having two pools and a restaurant nearby made our stay more enjoyable. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the woman at the front desk was very unfriendly and unhelpful when I explained that our room was not as reserved. When another woman came in to handle the problem, she was much more pleasant and helpful.
Great pool, we had to be switched rooms per our request because there were obvious damages or stains from something all over the carpet. Over all it was decent would stay again at some point again because the pool was nice. But seemed like a older motel that had minor upgrades. The floor in the room was oddly sticky.
Area was quiet
Nice pool area
Terrible checking in. 120 degrees outside and they gave us a room with a broken lock. So gave us another room and the AC was broken along with the refrigerator. Finally found us a room with a working AC and frig. Pool area was very beat up. Stayed at exact same property last year and everything was pristine.
AC is old and way too loud to leave on since we’re light sleepers. Need to upgrade to newer and quieter AC units in the hotel rooms.
Great property, excellent staff. Definitely going back soon.
Their WiFi was down and we where told til we got to property
The pool and the restaurant are great! The AC unit in the room is so loud that it made it impossible to sleep, we woke up many times throughout the night that it ruined the stay. The room also had a weird smell.
Property ia clean, loved the pools and pool bar. Onsite restaurant was great, room was very clean.
The pool water was very salty and warm, we had no wifi for the two nights and 3 days we were there. The restroom was very nice but the shampoo and conditioner looked very old so we have buy out own. The bed sheets had a very strange smell to them. The cleaning lady came at 9:40am to start cleaning our room and our check out was not until 11am. We had to connect the refrigerator and lamps because nothing was connected. It was an okay experience but I will not be coming back here.
Front desk staff incompetent - did not have answers to basic questions, did not return phone calls, rude, and dismissive. Have never experienced such a disaster of a front desk crew. Room was unbearably hot despite having the AC on at 60. Space between the AC and hole in wall was about and inch and a half so hot air was just pouring in from outside. Back door looked out on to dumpsters and dirty maintenance area. Absolutely horrible. WiFi was down so front desk staff had to escort you to your room with a key to open the door - so you couldn’t leave your room without having to have someone come from the front desk to open the door for you again. We did not end up staying and left. Never again and would never recommend to anyone.
Nice bar/restaurant area. Enjoyed the pool but could use more low key chill music in the smaller pool area during the day. Save the beats for the big party pool. Would be nice if the bar was open for coffee earlier in the morning (dosent open till 9). Go up the street to Ace for breakfast. Also could use some better styling and maybe some art on the stark white walls in the rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back.
No WiFi or internet for the whole time we were there and all they offered was 2 free drinks !!
After driving over 2 hours, almost arriving to the hotel. Staff from the hotel called me that the Wi-Fi had gone out, and that they wouldn’t have my code to get into my room. They said that I can still check in but staff would have open the door for us everytime we would need to enter the room. When we arrived they said that the tech would be in between 12pm to 5 pm for service and that they would call or text me the room code to get into my room as soon as the Wi-Fi was back. I never got a call back. I asked like around 6 pm for the status. Then they stated that the Wi-Fi was back. However, my TV was still not working and d they did not have a code for my room. Staff was only available until 1 pm to open the doors. Therefore, me and my husband weren’t unable to go out at night due to that we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to get back to our room. This was so inconvenient
Decent place, but the property seems a little dated and ran down.
Couple Trip.
This is an older hotel that they’ve redone completely. Sooo cute. Rooms have great beds and it’s cozy and cute. Gigi’s restaurant is good for breakfast or cocktails at the end of the night. 2 pools. Loved it.
Amazing
The hotel was beautiful. We unfortunately were the only room that didn’t have a swing out front. The one thing we did love was the restaurant and bar attached to the hotel. Even though we were left outside because the hostess did not communicate to the server that he had a party of 2.
Centrally Locacated in Palm Springs
very clean room very helpful, professional staff at front desk
A very simple and nice hotel that I will be coming back to the next time I come. Zero complaints!
Lovely property and pool for a fun desert stay.
The restaurant at the property was amazing and also had an amazing staff
Nicely rejuvenated hotel.
Nicely remodeled older hotel. Pool areas are nice. There’s an adult pool and an all ages pool on the property which is nice. Bar hut at the adult pool.
Charged a resort fee even though the kids pool had a non-functioning hot tub. Housekeeper in the morning barged into our room without knocking- the lack of respect for privacy was very disturbing. Terrible stay with rude front desk staff. Lackluster rooms. Will never return and do not recommend.
Great value, amenities and service. Nico is a great host at the poolside bar, Elixir.
Pool area was great! Enjoyed my stay!
This place was soo cute a few years ago. It’s definitely gone wayyy down hill. The rooms look super tired, all the pool furnishings are very stained and kinda gross. This place has just seen way better days. I will never go back.
Great hotel and pool area.
I’ve been going to the V when they were owned by Sonder. Now that they are not, there are some changes. Although Everything is still the same. The quality of the service room and cleanliness was great. The only thing I was surprised by was the deposit fee of $100 per night from what they told me. I understand that it’ll be refundable after but I wasn’t informed about that when I booked a room on this app. Just wish it was disclosed. Other than that, this hotel is great. Had a good stay.
There was a pool party going on. Trash everywhere around the pool. I fight broke out that day was so bad I felt extremely shaken after. We left the pool area because we felt unsafe. I’m sad to say I will never be staying here again.
Recently remodeled, rooms were clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Great pool area with bar.
Good stay but the bathroom floor was wet when we checked in and room floor was sticky
This hotel is always my go to because I love the two pools, the location, and the price I booked it as a last-minute stay and was the perfect idea for a quick getaway recommend this place. Maybe not for kids but definitely great for adults you might want to check their itinerary because sometimes they do have pool parties and people can get a little bit crazy.
Decent hotel. Very unimpressive and unhelpful front desk. Sad lobby. No property map. No designated guest only parking. Nice property. Great bed. Average bathroom. Fun pool. Great location. Gross room flooring.
Worst management team of all time. Took a reservation with children then said that no kids allowed at any pool even the child one as they rented out for party. No warning
First room was had dirty floors and very dirty comforter. Second room had dirty floors, inoperable body wash dispensers and the tv remote didn't work, so couldn't use the TV at all.
We were a little nervous from the outside of the hotel at first, but very pleased with the room. Parking was a little tricky to figure out how to easily bring luggage. Would like to stay again in the future and use the pool. Good value for Palm Springs.
