Cheap. The staff is helpful. A few minutes walk to the subway. In saying that, this building condition was not great. Fine for a solo man in need of a cheap bed, but that's about it.

The Town Hotel short stay

reasonable Hotel at this crisis time, Mr. Arafat was helpful in front desk and house keeping was good. No restrurants service till this moment.

Was a quarrel hotel

This hotel urgently needs a renovation. The room we stayed in was filthy (dirty carpet and vomit spots on the walls), the toilet did not flush properly, the room did not have a proper window (no view). While we booked for three nights, the reception initially claimed that we only did so for one night. We were expected (and confirmed by email) to be met at the airport, no service was available (so we had to pay the taxi extra). The staff were friendly, but obviously not capable to correct the structural problems.

Very disappointed with hotel stay. I only spent one night and the refused to reimburse me for remaining 4 nights. I became ill from the mildew, cigarette smoke (had non smoking room) snd gas fumes from gas station right next door, along with all the construction air, Even though I informed them I was sick, I was told by front desk, they could only put me in another room because I had a non refundable booking. To top it off I was told by clerk she understood I wasn’t feeling good, but I could either accept another room or just leave. Room I was given was 903. On top of that my reservation wasn’t in their system when I arrived! I will never stay at this facility or recommend to anyone. Terrible location and front desk very rude!!!

No-frills hotel at a good price

This was our second stay ar The Town. Great staff (reception/housekeeping/restaurant - Ditta was lovely) and perfect location. Good swimming pool. Breakfast is tasty, varied and plentiful.

The location is pretty good but the room is not the best. It smelled pretty bad in the room and didn't feel particularly clean.

A couple days in Doha

WiFi didn't work one day, which was extremely annoying as I had to book flights last minute as a result. TV casting also didn't work and they were unable to fix it. Lastly, parking is a mish because they have no-one manning the entry boom, so you must get out your car, go to reception and ask them to open. Sounds like a lot of complaining, but these are minor issues really and I would stay there again.

I just stay few hours then go to airport but I got a terrible experience , the reception staff (Achila) ask for deposit when I check in but he don’t cancel the deposit and just give me cash, totally can not understand what is hotel policy. Better don’t choice this hotel.

The hotel staff especially Filipina Jhelou is very helpful, accommodating to requests. Hotel location is very good, near the main highway. Hotel room is clean, facilities are good. Taxi service is also good. I will stay there again when I visit Doha next time. Keep it up Town Hotel.

Took 25 min to check in at 2 AM. Nobody else was waiting. I had to be up at 5 so wasn’t happy about this. Room very impressive tho

Conveniently located ..Just ten minutes walk to Souq Waqif, many convenient stores and small restaurants near hotel.

Overall is good

The hotel is located in one of the poorest area of Doha so dont expect shiny, new buildings and clean and green environment. The hotel itself is nice, clean with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is good but there is no food service between 10.30 and 17.30 though. You can easily reach Souq Waqif and Al Corniche area by foot. We could check in earlier than it was stated which is positive.

Only 4 hrs between flights. Took a good 20 mins to get checked in. Apparently our room was paid for but was not saved. Staff made no offer to help with bags. But overall good value and clean.

Loved the stay, awesome hotel and location

Staff is very nice and courteous. Hotel Is walking distance 10 mins to the Souq where you have access to amazing restaurants and shops. The fitness room had everything I needed included weights, bench, and a weight machine. Rooms were nice large and comforable. AC worked great.

Mid range hotel in walking distance of sights

Friendly staff, arranged for room to be available asap after i arrived at 7am. Good location walking distance of the souk, islamic art museum and the corniche. Only one night stopover stay but would stay again. As reported by others the taxi driver from the airport had trouble finding it, dont know why as it is in a reasonably prominent position.

Avery good hotel excellent value for money it’s not in the nicest part of the city but the area is ok I read a review from one of Expedia’s customers saying they had stayed in this hotel and if you are a solo traveler that it’s not suitable maybe they are surgesting that it’s not safe for single travelers I have just stayed at this hotel on my own and it is safe common sense is needed wear ever you go but Doha has strict laws I will say no more.

Economic stay near Souk Waqif

We enjoyed our stay at this new hotel in a quiet corner just South of center of Doha. For a business hotel, the room was large, with high ceiling. The Wifi was blazing for local Qatar sites, the internet to rest of world is a bit slow, like all of Doha. There is construction for the LRT near hotel that makes some walking a bit dusty, but no noticeable noise.

Moderate priced hotel which was a good choice

Very pleasant staff. The room was a good size and facilities were fine. There is a shop at the service station across the road with plenty of drinks and some food. As a moderate rate hotel this ticks all the boxes and I would stay there again.

Stayed during a quick stopover to get some sleep. Staff was kind enough to give me a free upgrade so basically I paid roughly - AU$50 for a king size suite - not too shabby. Also, a quick 10-15 minute walk to the city centre for some good restaurants. Would recommend to anyone and even consider staying here again!

Transit Hotel Doha

The rooms were big and well maintained. Our major problem was that Taxi Drivers could not find the hotel even though we had the address. It is situated in a very run down area of Doha. We would have appreciated a taxi card with a map but the front desk said that they did not have any maps or cards. Our breakfast was simple and adequate. Nice hotel in bad neighborhood

I have to give it to the hotel. The room was very comfortable although the Internet didn't work, so that was quite inconvenient for me. the location of the hotel is such that I would definitely not recommend this property to others, especially when traveling solo as I was. It was in a very run-down and poor part of town.

Older Hotel

Older hotel. The surroundings are scary, especially if you are new to Qatar.

Comfortable sleep

Room is clean and comfortable. TV only shows arabic channels and CNN. No Eutelsat channels! Gym has tiny space good for one slim man. Pool is slightly bigger than a bathtub. Neighbourhood is full of Asian laborers. Good and comfortable for sleeping only.

Ok hotel.

There is no reason for any one to go to Doha. Zero activity in the whole country. Difficult to pass one full day. The hotel has to be very good in order to stay there. This hotel is now , has very good air conditioning, free parking and bad wifi. Budged hotel. Very crowed area , a lot of labour outside this area. Near the main souk. Good TV and cable. English channels too.

15 minutes walk to market area

Nice hotel, functional and clean nothing too fancy , staff very friendly and helpful. Location was ok, about 15 minutes walk to the market area . Petrol station nearby for water sweets etc

The Town Hotel Doha is really excellent compare to Tariff. Room is much bigger and A/C was in very good condition. I'll stay again here in my future trip in Doha.
