Location is great, staff was great. The thing I did not like was the shower, it is extremely small. I also did not like the TV built into the mirror and the location of the TV. It always seemed to have a glare on it, it was also to the left of the bed, so trying to lay in bed and watch TV was not really how I would set things up. The TV also said no signal on multiple channels.
Only downside was the bathroom smelt a bit mildewey.
Great location
Nice property. Just off from Times Square so it was convenient but a little more quiet. Our room and bathroom were TINY. But I guess that’s what to expect in nyc? It was just me and my daughter and not hardly enough space for our luggage and clothes. We were stepping over our luggage to get to the bed or bathroom. Restaurant was great. Delicious food and fast service! Overall great stay. Just wish the room was bigger.
Serafina Restaurant & Bar was amazing. Location is perfect. Hotel check-in was amazing, agent very knowledgeable and personable.
Nice place, friendly staff
We loved staying at the hotel definitely coming back again
I have never stayed here before, so wasn’t sure what to expect as I am not completely familiar with all of my locations in the city. Location was absolutely perfect and the hotel exceeded my expectations. Clean, friendly andhelpful staff. Was happy to be able to go to the restaurant attached to grab an early morning coffee while my daughter slept in. I will definitely be staying here again!
very happy
I would like to have a mini fridge that is not full. I have two kids and would have loved to have space to put our extra drinks and milk. The kids had to put their drinks on the air conditioning vent to get cold. No ice option either in the hotel. The bathroom door is a bit sheer. Would have loved to have more privacy with the kids.
Desktop lamp and air conditioner were not working properly (room temperature was 79 Celsius degree and not responding to adjustment).
Very friendly staff. Clean and updated room. Convenient to Times Square
First room we were in had an annoying noise because the wall behind us was the electric room, In the morning after a very poor sleep, we leave our room and the door does not lock (room 415), they moved us to room 915, the carpet between the beds was crunched on part of the floor, the shower handle turned 360, it had no stop to close shower properly, valve needs to be replaced, vanity handles were worn out and peeled. Not what you expect when you pay $500 a night. Location is good.
I was so impressed by the kindness and courtesy shown to my daughter and I from all the staff. From the doorman to the repai man (who was on the elevator with us), to the check jn staff. Whatever they are doing to train their employees i hope they keep it up! The bed was so comfortable and the pillows big and squishy. The towels were luxuirously soft and the thermostat worked well. The elevators and rooms make the most of every nook and crany. I liked it here a lot and will stay again.
It was comfortably
Disappointed
Thermostat wasn’t functioning properly & upon checking out I heard another guest complain about the same issue. Mattress wasn’t comfortable, headboard was worn, water bottles in room were $7 each, blinds didn’t work. I’ve stayed at many hotels in NYC and this one won’t be visited by me again. So disappointed.
Good
I always stay at the time NY, but this weekend wasn’t the best time I had, special with food and stuff and the hotel was dirty, I went to the room is trash on the floor the bathroom was dirty I was disappointed.
Fabulous stay
Our stay was really amazing it was close enough to all the places we wanted to visit. The staff was friendly.
The staff were nice, but our first room had no air conditioning working. We never heard if it was fixed after we got back. It was not fixed. We were sweating getting ready. They did in fact moved our rooms though gave us water so it ended up okay. Just wouldn’t go back.
Fase advertising
Dusty floor furniture old and damaged not air-van inside the restroom the entire hotel was dirty
Theres no heat in the rooms, in a city that is known for its frigid temps.
The room was quite dusty and low quality overall. Also heavily overpriced.
Nice hotel
Busy area
Got a last minute deal at this hotel for 1 night in NYC, and it was perfect! Easy to get to (about 1 block from a subway station), right in the heart of the theater district, friendly service, clean (if small) room, comfortable and updated lodgings. It was great. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Room did not have tv in the right place. Air conditioner- more sound which does not allow to sleep
The Time New York Hotel could not be better located. It is within easy walking distance to Broadway Theatres, subway stations and fantastic restaurants, and both the front desk team and maintenance team were super friendly and helpful.
Excellent service
Location, Location, Location!! Really great property - very clean and convenient. Nice happy hour feature each evening!
Very nice staff. Room was a bit noisy.
Great place to stay while enjoying the city!
Convenient
Very nice property, staff was friendly, parking garage across the street
weekend getaway
Nice clean spacious room, small bathroom, tv in mirror a bit weird, good service, good location, expensive parking $45/day across the street
Very kind and helpful staff. Spacious room in the center of all attractions.
We loved that it was across the theater we had tickets for.
The room is extremely small for the price they charge. The bathroom has lo lock and door does not stay closed. We had to play with the room door luck for a while to lock the door. Everything in the room is rusted and lamp is cracked. Not happy with this hotel at all. Would not recommend.
The Time NY is conveniently located in Times Square which made getting around very easy. The hotel has a great vibe to it but definitely needs some updating and restoration. A lot of staining on furniture, carpet, wallpaper coming apart on the walls, dirty fingerprints on sliding doors. The size of our room which was the deluxe king suite was excellent and comfortable. It just needs a little refresher. The service and staff were excellent, attentive, and very helpful with anything we needed. Great parking garage across the street, affordable and felt very safe having our car in there overnight.
Very convenient spot, walkable to famous tourist scenes and restaurants
The property is in a great location and easy to walk to subway, food, entertainment and shopping. Michael at the front desk was very friendly and helpful when we arrived late at night. Actually every staff member was very polite. The room was a little small, not even storage for someone who is staying 6 nights. We lived out of our luggage as there are no drawers for clothes. The bed was really comfortable. Overall a great stay.
There is no valet parking, there is a garage infront of the hotel that you go to and they park for you, $45 a day for sedan and $60 for suv, even if the suv is smaller than a sedan (Hyundai Kona). Also there is no in and out privilege.
Everything is nice. The hotels is very clean around the corner from times Square close to really nice restaurants.
The hotel is a perfect location, close to many subway lines. You have plenty of restaurants on 8th and 9th avenues to choose from. Rooms were clean!
I had a wonderful stay , will come back again soon!
Customer service was great
Overall good experience, had black out curtains to block out the city light and pretty good sound proofing to minimize street noise.
Great place
Amazing service!
Although we had to change rooms several times due to air conditioning issues it was a great stay. Each time the staff was exceptional and offered good service recovery. The hotel itself is old and has been renovated. However the mechanical systems (air, elevator, etc.) still need work. Higher floors are the best (more space and less street noise).
Everything was good other than the hallways were warm outside of the rooms, the thermostat read 80 degrees F.
I liked this small boutique hotel with very friendly staff. Wished it had room service though.
Do not waste your money
Terrible in every way possible. From room condition to employees plotting to take your money through a “cash only” bag storage scam. We could not sleep because the AC was actually a window unit that was so loud it would wake us up. Lets not even start with the condition of the room and the lack of care by the staff. Overall terrible experience.
Modern
Located in the heart of the Theater District. Best location if you are catching a show. Times Square and Broadway are blocks away. And the service was TOP SHELF. We came to NYC for a quick anniversary trip and when we let them know it was our anniversary, Emilio went out of his way to make us feel special and treated us to free drinks at the bar. And for an added touch of thoughtfulness, when we came back to our room after the show, we had a generous slice of chocolate cake with “Happy Anniversary” decorated on the plate, paired with a bottle of wine. It’s the little things like this that show the difference between good service and world class service.
The Time New York at 49th!
This is a very nice hotel right in the middle of it all. The convenience can't be beat if you're looking for Time Square and Broadway. Basically just walk downstairs. It's pricey but everything in NYC is, especially this area. Part of 49th was blocked off for construction which was loud itself but also allowed for nearby business vendors to load, unload and garbage trucks right under our window all night (4th floor, 49th side) which sucked majorly. They were so loud every night and made it it hard to sleep but I don't think this is common. Our AC sucked but managed enough (77-78) so I didn't complain but when checking out, I mentioned it to them. They immediately offered to wave the daily hotel charge of $30ish which was unexpected and very much appreciated. The hotel is located around numerous subway lines so you can go anywhere with ease. The Serafina Restaurant at the hotel serves excellent food and great service. If you're looking for a nice hotel, with a comfortable bed at a reasonable price (compared to NYC), in the middle of the Big Apple, close to everything, this place will meet your expectations.
I had to move rooms because the air conditioner wasn’t working. Also, there was leftover food in the mini fridge, spills, and empty minis. It made me wonder what else wasn’t cleaned. There was no air conditioning in the hallways either which smelled. The only two good things were the comfort of the beds and location.
For the amount and time I spent here this was the first time in nyc with my family and what we paid did not reflect this property. I am so upset about how everything turned out
Nice hotel, well located if you want to go to time square, the staff is very good and kind. The only thing is the room has an ugly view on the other building roof and the air conditioner is very noisy.
Best Boutique Hotel in NYC
Wow!! This is the best place to stay!! The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect for seeing a Broadway show and also all of New York’s sights!! The wine and cheese hour was a great bonus too!! This was our first time but we will definitely be back!!! Rooms are modern and clean. Thank you for a great weekend!!
I slept so well
Well designed to fit into the small space available, and one of the best mattresses I've ever slept on!
Was very good
Will stay here again!
Staff were very friendly. The hotel restaurant and bar were delicious. The location is ideal whether seeing shows or conducting business in the city.
The hotel on Expedia looks like a 5 star hotel however is nothing like it
This was a perfect hotel for our weekend trip to New York. It was walkable to out Broadway show, restaurants, times square and the Broadway comedy club. Eric was especially helpful and we enjoyed the nightly wine and cheese happy hour. We really appreciated the excellent air conditioner in our room during this heat wave!!!
Very First Time In New York.
The Hotel was in a great area to stay and from being out of town guests. We felt safe and the hotel was very clean and staff was very polite. The shower was not working properly and the hotel manager did accommodate us credit on our bill.
We had the best time all the way from Nevada! Everyone was so friendly! They even spoiled our daughter who turned 13! Thank you so much! Will definitely come back to stay.
Secure, Central, and budget friendly
Was great I highly recommend the time New York I wish the restaurant stay open till late night
Loved the location and service during Pride
We had 2 great nights at The Time during NYC Pride. We received great service from the front desk and help staff. We had a minor issue with the AC and a technician assisted us within minutes of calling the front desk for help. The room and bathroom size are very comfortable. We loved the location, very centric… next door to major Broadway shows. I would visit again without a doubt.
This was the WORST place ever to stay at. It was our 1st time in New York. The online pics are very deceiving, don't be fooled. The room smelled like a dog had been staying in there, it was dusty & hot, the AC didn't work properly. We will never stay here again when visiting NYC.
Mostly great, but ..
Nice people, nice location, nice free happy hour. However 1. Pretty dusty, and housekeeping came at different times every day meaning you had to be out of the room 10-5 to be sure you got housekeeping 2. Bathroom needed towel hooks. Floor got wet regardless of how careful you were in shower. For 1-2 people short stay, it’s nice. For 4 of us, 6 days, it got messy fast.
.
Great price for the location and the hotel was excellent!! Staff was very friendly.
Room too small
The Time NY was average. I walked by it several times before I found it. Typically overpriced, underwhelming and super tiny place in NYC. The bathroom was incredibly small.
.
Furniture is old and room felt unclean. Amenities and waters were not restocked everyday. Upon check out, we were told they can only hold 2 luggage complimentary and any additional pieces would be charged, and only cash was accepted. As a 4 star hotel, I have NEVER heard of this limit and think it’s absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend this hotel, stay elsewhere if you’re looking for a 4 star hotel experience.
The staff at reception was courteous, friendly, helpful and attentive. However, I was underwhelmed by the room. The conditions at the hotel are old. My room did not come with a fridge. The clothing armoire did not have glass coverings. The handle for the shower was not secure; it was loose and came off easily. Lastly, the bed was not covered with a duvet or comforter; it only had a thin down-like comforter layered in two sheets. I appreciated that the hotel is located near good eateries and theaters.
Phenomenal hotel and staff! Our room was beautiful and modern and clean! Perfect location next to all the Broadway theaters and super quick walk to Times Square and the subway, but not too loud or busy at all. Would absolutely recommend this spot!!
As the saying goes... "Location, location, location" This hotel is very right in the thick of Broadway theaters. Super close to all the shows. Our room was quite small, but was just fine for being a nice place to sleep. You wouldn't want to hang out here, as there's just enough room for the king bed, but who wants to be in the hotel room when you're right by Times Square? My daughter did complain that the lighting was inadequate for doing her makeup, but nice enough room otherwise.
Housekeeping didn’t do a great job. Came and left clean towels, didn’t take dirty towels, didn’t make the bed or clean the shower. Didn’t replenish toiletries. Was told parking was validated for a cheaper rate and it wasn’t.
Right in the theatre district. Near the subway, Rockefeller and time square.
I was pleasantly surprised by this property! The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and large for NYC. Close to everything
My wife and I travel to NY a few times a year and we are ALWAYS booking new hotels, because there's never anything out there worth seeing again, for us. Until now! Let me tell you, we will be returning to The Time Hotel for as long as we can! Their exceptional service was led by their concierge, Eric Papanikolas, who we were lucky to meet during their wine tasting hour (with wine and cheese on the house) and he was simply a breath of fresh air. He asked about our plans and made wonderful recommendations while genuinely making us feel that he really cared about our stay! I honestly feel that we made a great friend in the city, now! The girls in the bar were awesome too! The food was great! the room was great! Honestly, Eric was able, so effortlessly, to add a nice layer to our travels and made us truly look forward towards our next escapade:) Thank you, so much, Eric! and we'll see you again, soon! ~Art & Joanna
Shower needs to have some handrails, very unsafe!
We were greeted promptly upon arrival.. the entire stay was delightful, comfortable, and convenient!! No issues with cleanliness. Great dining options.
The room was small, but was perfectly comfortable for an overnight stay with a goal to explore the city. The staff was professional, polite, and incredibly accommodating. Just a 20 minute walk from Penn Station and conveniently located near tons of bars, restaurants, and theaters. Would definitely stay again.
Not for me
The room was a slightly different from the room they displayed on their website . The room is very small and old, definitely will not be staying there again.
Room with a view of a brick wall beware they take $100 a night for incidentals that you cant use in the bar or resturant. Charged me $103.00 after check out without an explaination. With all the hotel choices in NYC do not make this one of them.
It was close to everything!
Hotel in a great location between Chicago and Book of Mormon. Also enjoyed the on-site restaurant Serafina. I’ve stayed in different hotels in Manhattan and Would definitely stay here next time I am back.
Room and shower were very small. Was super convenient to broadway/Times Square
Very cool modern hotel. Will definitely be back.
Decent value for the cost. The room was very nicely designed but quite small. There was also some noice from HVAC SYSTEM.
Staff Good
Rooms are dusty and in need of renovations, obvious signs of wear and tear, lots of dust showing show lack of attention to detail by staff when cleaning.
Kindest staff
Everyone here was incredibly kind!
The staff was always incredibly attentive and made my stay worry free. Elevators was having issues at times but the internet was solid. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Definitely stay here again.
It was a nice experience but the heater was faulty but they came to fix it quickly
