Enjoyed the stay very much!

I feel totally ripped off

I feel ripped off by the hotel. I already paid $500 per night. They tricked me to pay extra $200 per night to upgrade to a two bedroom apartment. After two nights I figured out that it’s cheaper and more comfortable to get two standard rooms. This request was declined by hotel staff. The reason they gave me is that they cannot make changes to online order. I guess they can only make one-way change: upgrade only, no downgrade. On top of that I here is no free breakfast for a $700 plus per night hotel.

Great property. Awesome location. Chengdu is a great city. Way worth the visit.

everything is good except that the small makeup mirror light doesnt work and there is not a dresser area

The entire stay was amazing. Greeted by friendly staff that could speak English, didn’t hover around for tips. (Although I was happy to give) property was extraordinary with taste and style. Hallway has an attractive scent (asked if they sell the scent but unfortunately they don’t). Didn’t try their food during this trip unfortunately because there are so much options around. The only thing I wasn’t so happy about is the Temperature control in the room. Although it was quite cold outside and I was looking for some warmth indoors, rooms were way too hot even though I turned the AC down to the coldest it could set (19 degrees Celsius) but the lowest temperature the room got was 26 :( my fiancé couldn’t sleep well because of that despite the huge comfortable bed. However, everything else surpassed our expectations and will definitely come back still.

Quality guaranteed

I have never once been disappointed staying at a Swire hotel (having been at all three in Beijing, HK and Chengdu) and the Temple House is no exception. It was a perfectly pleasant city hotel through and through. Check-in was smooth and efficient, stylish lobby, soothing and tastefully-decorated rooms (this time we stayed in a suite too), personal touches everywhere (love those m&m jars), indulgent bathrooms, coma-inducing-comfortable beds... in short, your every need catered for, and taken care of so well. The location was also super convenient, being right next to Taikoo Li and a stone’s throw away from the metro station. Excellent Sichuan restaurant across the street as well.

Good first visit

Great location. right in the middle of downtown Chengdu yet having it's own sanctuary. Enjoyed the food @ Mi Xun. Asked for bubble wrap or any paper/packing materials & was told hotel does not have any !

Ueber cool place!

Stayed for 3 nights with my family in July 2017. First impression is the staff. Young, smiling, smart, fast, sassy - always felt like I was talking to experts. They all speak sufficient English - in China that is a HUGE difference. Next impression is the feel of the hotel - very chic, traditional+modern. As we used facilities - found each one to be top notch. Including getting bicycles to drive around (though in big cities in China, bicycles are available literally everywhere). One gripe I have is the limited range of food available at the Temple cafe during breakfast. The location is awesome - walking distance to subway station; easy to get around.

Great hotel, noisy area

The hotel is next to the core business shopping center, so consider it quite convenient. However, it's loud at night time and early morning! That's the only complaint I had.

Exceptional

Temple House has always been on my list to visit for the past two years. I finally did in April and was not disappointed. The design of rooms, use of heritage building and the landscape in public area echo so well with each other. A modern transformation of a place of over thousand years of history. The staff are friendly, helpful and well trainned. The only area of improvement is the uniforms - I guess the more relaxed attire is meant to match the environment but some turn out to be a bit shabby.

Best hotel I've stayed in

The best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were so so so helpful. The place is gorgeous. And chengdu is a really interesting place to visit. Couldn't recommend this place anymore. Thanks guys. Can't wait to stay again.

Immaculate Amenities & Rooms, Staff Well-Meaning

Our stay was good in certain aspects, particularly that the quality of the room was exceptional, and the amenities were great. The hotel staff, however, messed up our parking validation which caused us to spend a lot time getting out of the parking lot, and I missed my flight. Nevertheless, upon filing a complaint the hotel staff responded by comping my flight change fee and awarding us a free night in their sister hotel in Beijing. This took some of the sting out of the negative experience, but in the future I would like it if the hotel staff was knowledgeable and attentive on making sure parking is validated and all other details are taken care of.

The Temple House is very nice hotel with great design. Room is big and very comfortable. The location is excellent, just next to the huge complex with lots of shops and restaurants.

Strategically located Traditional design hotel

Best location and service provided. Well designed traditional look hotel with great facilities. Hotel staff are good in service and very attentive. Got upgraded to apartment style hotel room with full cooking n washer dryer facilities.

They pay attention to everything in the Hotel, so well organsied, every time there, I allready plan to come again. Thanks to all member of the Staff!!!

Enjoyable Experience

We got upgraded to a suite for our anniversary celebration. The room cleanliness, hotel facilities and staff service are excellent. Hotel location is perfect with lots of local food and restaurants in proximity. The DaiZi temple is in 3-minute walk. We would definitely choose the Temple House again when we come back to Chengdu next time.

Très bel hôtel, avec emplacement de choix près de Tai Koo Li. Chambre élégante même si certains meubles et matériels sont déjà relativement usés... En revanche, inacceptable lorsque l’on pratique de tels prix de ne pas inclure le petit déjeuner!

La qualité des équipements et de la décoration , le service tout à fait exceptionnel, l’emplacement idéal en font , à mes yeux, l’un des trois meilleurs hôtels au monde...et je passe plus de 100 nuits par an à l’hôtel depuis vingt ans.

位置绝佳，综合服务一般

房间隔音太差，楼上用洗手台哗啦啦听的一清二楚。午休时间敲敲打打，没办法入睡。 酒店位置不错，紧邻太古里，地铁站5分钟，春熙路周边美食基本15分钟脚程。

在太古里逛街的好飯店

這是個想在太古里逛街的好選擇,鬧中取靜,除了精品百貨附近還有很多小吃,真是太方便了,步行約5-7分鐘到IFS金融中心廣場,還有前往四川著名景區巴士及機場巴士,唯一有待改善的是前台服務員,因為入住前在網路上購物宅配到飯店,快遞員跑了3趟才把貨物送到我們手上,這是這次唯一的美中不足啊!

Beautiful hotel, weaker service

The hotel is great in many aspects (design, location etc.), but it is obvious it mainly caters to Chinese customers, sometimes it was difficult to get anyone English speaking at the reception, service was generally the weak point, does not live up to 5* standard in this respect

Excellent hotel at a central location

It’s impossible to get templed out at the temple house. The building is gorgeous and the room is very well appointed. Loved the subtle design of the room. Service is very good. Very pleased to find the free “maxi” bar and the lovely tea set. Location is very good, close to a metro station and in the middle of the shopping area. Having their breakfast is highly recommended.

the hotel is the best in chungdu. under Swire, the standard is really high in china. the check in staff have rooms of improvement. the bar staff are very nice and a very good drinking place. the gym is in a very good condition and there is a trainer inside there which is surprising me. in the room, just the air condition is not working so nice, always feel a bit hot even i have try to adjust it, try this when you are there.

和太古里在一起購物方便內有玄奘大師出家的大慈寺至今一千六百多年歷史真是不可多得的地方

無限的m&m及糖果飲料特別多氣泡水中外啤酒飲料特別多都是免費服務人員待人親切傍晚回到酒店還有面膜實在是不可思議下回到成都還是會去入住這間博舍酒店

すべてが完璧なホテル

次回また、成都に行く時は必ず、ここを利用したいと思います。 部屋の値札が付いたワイン以外の飲み物は、すべて無料です。チョコや飴なども置かれてて、アメニティーも充実してたり、部屋の中も外も景観をとても工夫されています。買い物にもとても便利だし、食事も美味しかったです。タクシーなどの手配や配慮も、とても素晴らしい対応でした。

融合歷史古蹟與後現代建築創意的開放性空間

（一）博舍是成都太古里的一部分，它的建築群是開放式的，在大廳、房舍、餐廳、茶寮、ＳＰＡ等空間是獨立的建築物，其構想有點像中國古代林園，卻沒有圍牆，只有足夠的飯店人員駐守各角落，隨時提供服務（和警介）。它是整個太古里唯一的住宿點，跟古老但維護得極好的大慈寺，各據一方，中間就是龐大的徒步區，有地下層商店街，也有地上兩層的後現代化建築群，都是美食和服飾名牌，每家店都是獨棟的，只有二樓透過天橋連繫起來，形成空中步道。住在博舍，形同住在整個太古里，生活是很豐富的。我們住了五天四夜，都還沒玩夠。 （二）博舍的房間設計也是一流的，全電動的雙層窗簾，和隔音玻璃，加上很舒適的床和被，會讓人睡到醒不過來。浴缸也很大，熱水出水夠快，很好。冰箱裡除了酒之外，所有的十餘種飲料都是免費的，真很罕見。房間隔音很好，不會聽到隔壁的雜音。 （三）我們沒有選用早餐，它有三種價格，一是算人頭的方式（不到二百人民幣，不限量吃），二是單點自助餐（１２８元），或單獨點餐（個別菜色的單價）。但廚師只有兩人，點一碗牛肉麵要２０分鐘，所以我們就放棄了，到緊鄰博舍的一條小吃街去吃麵，有一家小小的龐氏麵館，非常非常好吃，而且便宜，五天下來我們竟然吃了４回。 （四）博舍的服務人員也很有效率，我們先後收了三次郵件包裹，叫了車，都有很理想的服務。 結論是：博舍是我們在中國住過最好的飯店，下回來成都，一定住上一星期才行。
