We spent a very great time ! The owners are so nice and helpful. We had dinner and it was delicious homemade food . taste the pudding !

Would not stay again

We wouldn’t stay again. I felt from the minute we booked we were a hinderance and unimportant. I appreciate it is out of season but we had better service from the pub down the road. Bar closed at 8pm - although not advertised as this - as they weren’t ‘busy’ even though we were there? No interest in what we’d like. Rooms are somewhat musty leading us both to cough all night. Only plus is that the owner managed to source some soya milk for ya from her neighbours ( we offered to bring our own oat milk and was told we’re not allowed but ok to borrow fro Neighbours?!).

Peaceful, clean haven in the countryside

Charming, very clean and well kept Inn. We received excellent attentive service throughout our stay. The food was excellent with a very substantial breakfast offered. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful though you do need to drive to participate in any activities other than walks in the countryside. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to rejuvenate, I would highly recommend this property.

Love the rural location - looking out onto open countryside yet only a couple of minutes drive from the A9 / Blair Atholl. Absolutely love the accommodation - spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely too - plentiful and very tasty and served in a lovely room overlooking the garden/wildlife. I cannot fault The Struan Inn. I'm so glad I found this absolute gem and I will be returning.

Cosy quiet and comfortable

A beautiful looking hotel in a quiet spot but conveniently placed. Room was very comfortable and the bar is very cosy. Lovely friendly staff. We would happily stay again.

Stayed 2 nights with my family and cannot praise the Struan Inn highly enough. It is a beautiful venue in beautiful surroundings, the staff and service we experienced were amazing and the food delightful.

Exceptional. It far exceeded my expectations. It's in a wonderful rural location but is literally only a couple of minutes from the A9 and from Blair Atholl. The room was delightful and immaculately clean. Everything was fresh, clean and modern and the room was really quite spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The staff are friendly and for what I paid I was more than happy. As a very regular visitor to Highland Perthshire, I'll be back. I had the added bonus of seeing a pine marten outside my window - what a thrill!

Surrounding was very quiet! We had some noisy young neighbours but once everything got quiet we had the most peaceful sleep! And waking up to the sound of birds was lovely. Breakfast set us up for the rest of the day too. I’d advise if travelling with child to have a bed guard to stop them from falling down (I caught mine just in time).

magic for that intimate stay in a small 5 bed hotel, food excellent, staff nice and welcoming and full of local information for you, rooms very nice and comfortable, couldn't fault it, will I return, YES<

The staff on arrival were very friendly and welcoming. The room was immaculate. Food was of a very high standard and morning staff were as helpful as on arrival

The hotel, staff and surrounding area was superb. We even had a pheasant cockerel show up for breakfast.

Country retreat

Warm welcome. Lovely room. Quiet country location with striking riverside walk nearby. Only a short drive to the Bruar Falls and Blair Atholl castle as well as many other attractions. Enjoyed being able to relax in the bar next to the wood-burning stove before going into dinner.

Lovely Highland Hotel

Warm and friendly welcome from the owners and staff team, very comfortable and spotlessly clean bedroom. Good food, in the evening and at breakfast in the morning. Enjoyable atmosphere in the bar, mix of locals and hotel residents.

Well placed for visit to Scout Jamborette

Room suited me just fine. Well thought out breakfast with good service. Good location for A9 and visits to Pitlochry etc. Staff and management very helpful.

Good comfortable Inn

Just a few minutes from the A9 the Struan Inn is in a beautiful setting. The Inn is clean and quiet, with comfortable rooms, including tea/coffee facilities. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and we also had dinner which was very good. The hosts provide a warm welcome and everyone is very helpful and friendly. It was an ideal stop 4 ish hours from the Skye Ferry from the Western Isles.

Beautiful Spot

It is not easy to find enough superlatives to describe our stay at the Stuan Inn! From the moment we stepped through the door to our departure we can only describe our time here as faultless . The staff were very friendly and helpful , the location beautiful and the convenience for the highlands just perfect .

Second visit

Excellent welcome and service, and dinner was good. Breakfast was average - perhaps not helped by the fact we were the only guests. Beautiful area and very quiet with good parking. Electric shower didn't get hot. Beds were quite "tired" so had to sleep on top of the duvet.

We just loved the Straun Inn. Super nice owners, with whom we enjoyed chatting. They pointed out a couple of great walks. Highly scenic area. Food outstanding. Don’t miss the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert.

A really quaint, super clean hotel that is run by the most friendly and helpful stuff. The Cullen Skink was also spot on!

Lovely Inn

Very lovely Inn in a very beautiful area, nice and secluded. Charming and comfortable and wonderful staff and service. Great food. A gorgeous scenic spot for a walk right near the Inn.

Two nights stay

Lovely, welcoming staff. Made to feel at home from the start. Very peaceful and quiet location. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Had a good stay

Chose hotel as about 2 hours drive north of Glasgow. Its quaint and oldy worldly. Meal was nice and room was fine.

Fantastic place

Wonderful and cozy place with amazing service, great people and super atmosphere. It is a small place with a living room and a library you can freely use. The staff are attentive and are ready to give the little extra. While eating a lovely breakfast, we were watching a capercaillie and a blackcock in the garden. We would love to return to the Struan Inn again!

Wonderful welcome and delicious meals! (GF too!)

My husband and I had a lovely, warm welcome on arrival. The room was very pretty. Our evening meal was outstanding , and breakfast was delicious. We dropped our eldest off for a Gold D of E expedition up north. Then we broke our journey home by treating ourselves to a special night away for ourselves, It was lovely. All staff were thoughtful and quietly attentive during our stay. We would be happy to return. Many thanks

Cozy cottage off the beaten path

We enjoyed our stay. It was a bit farther out than we realized, but other than that it was fabulous. The owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome even though we werre only there for one night.

Great little hotel.

Very friendly staff , excellent food and in a very handy location just off the A9. The hotel was quiet and easily accessible. A little confusion with booking via a third party company was quickly rectified by hotel management . Overall an excellent place to stay.

Beautiful!!! Nestled in the gorgeous Scottish hills. The dining hall was world class at its finest! Food was beyond amazing! The owners were very sweet! Rooms were cozy and modern! This was everything we were looking for and more! Would recommend this hotel

Great B&B in the wonderful Highlands of Scotland

This place is absolutely amazing. Wonderful staff & owners plus excellent food & whisky. One could not ask for a better experience. I would rate this B&B 5.0 or higher. I will come back next year without fail.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Lovely stay in a great location. Was just used as a stopover on our tour of Scotland so did not really use it to its full potential. Very clean and lovely, friendly staff.

Quaint B & B close to Pitlochry

Lovely spot not too far off the beaten path. Can take a gentle walk to a series of falls. The restaurant was not open but hotel notified us. Great stay!

Memories revisited

My wife and I stayed in the struan inn26 years ago for our honeymoon The pub has changed quite a bit for the better .The food was really good and the weather was glorious during our stay in this beautiful part of scotland.

We stayed in Scotland for 2 weels and this was the nicest place we stayed. Mary Ann and Bob were very friendly the staff were all lovely, the room was beautiful and the food was fabulous! A great night. We will definitely be back.

A gem

Lovely location in the country, with walks around, and just off the A9. Very helpful, perfect 'stalker's breakfast' and great packed lunch. Dinner menu looked really good but we had plans in the evening. Very clean. A gem.

A well run, privately owned Inn with a very warm welcome and a good breakfast to send you on your way all set in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. Totally recommended.

Little gem in a beautiful place

Management and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly . The Czech staff were simply lovely and so charming . This small hotel was in a lovely setting but so handy and close to main thoroughfare. Our room was pretty , spotlessly clean and very cosy. The evening meal was simple fare but well cooked and breakfast was very good. We will most definitely return and definitely recommend. So much better than a large impersonal hotel.

Beautiful B&B in the Countryside

We arrived at the Struan Inn about a half hour early and were a little put off by the fact that the door was locked. We could hear people inside but when we rang the doorbell, no one came to greet us. So we had to wait in the car until their designated check in time. It wasn't the greatest first impression. But once they let us in, the hosts were very friendly and the place is absolutely beautiful and the ensuite bathroom was huge. It's basically in the middle of nowhere so if you're looking for a lively bar scene, look elsewhere. The room was stunning and the bar, restaurant, and sitting area were lovely. We were able to order a glass of wine and sit out in their garden/lawn in the sunshine. We had dinner there and it was EXCELLENT. Breakfast was just as good. Unfortunately we both had a sleepless night because there was a massive spider on the bed that then scurried underneath so we couldn't kill it.... Other than that, I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet country inn.

Great location in the bush. And great staff

Everything was perfect, although would've appreciated a queen/king-sized bed rather than the narrower ordinary double. Had a great evening meal and breakie was also a delight. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended.

A little gem a stone's throw from the route north.

What a delightful place to spend the night. My double room was full of character and spotlessly clean. Despite being an "inn" it was quiet and I had the best nights sleep I've had for some time. So accommodating were the hosts that they provided me with a packed lunch in lieu of breakfast that I 'd not have been able to eat after dinner the evening before.

A difficult one to rate

A lovely small hotel apart from the bed which was extremely uncomfortable, hard and we could feel the springs through the mattress, and pillows that were hard and had no give - we didn't sleep at all. We booked the Family Room staying on a bed and breakfast basis. I spoke to the owner, who was kind and helpful and she told me no one else had complained, in fact everyone always said how well they slept there. I'm afraid that, for us, until the mattress and pillows are replaced, I cannot in all honesty recommend this otherwise lovely establishment.

Last minute great choice!!!!!

Took last minute trip for some hiking. The owners, food and drink was great. The house is very cute but anyone over 6' be aware the single beds aren't made for us. It was fine for a night and for the price it was excellent. I'd stay again if given the chance.

Within 10 minute drive to meet others

Easy to find, was very impressed with the location, cleanliness an able to cater for gluten free, very accommodating to our requirements. A short but very pleasant experience.

Great stay in peaceful location.

We had a most enjoyable stay in a very quiet location with very welcoming hosts.The trip was part of my Mum's birthday celebration, and she said she had had one of her best birthdays ever. Both rooms were en-suite and immaculate and beds very comfortable.

Best accommodation and food ever!

Had a fantastic stay here. The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the food at dinner and at breakfast, cooked to perfection. The room was clean, tidy, with a nice en suite bathroom. The decorating had been done in keeping with the old building, but to modernise it in an appealling manner. I really can't think of any negatives at all. Loved the small 'picnic table' of condiments that was on out table when we ate dinner outside on a warm sunny evening. Nice touches like that made us smile. We will look to see if The Struan Inn has a free room when we're next in this part of Scotland. Highly recommended!!

Friendly picturesque hotel

Room was spotless and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice. There is a lounge area for guests to relax in the evening, as well as a bar on site.
