Staff are very accomodating

Nice hotel. No elevator so may have to go up 4 stories of stairs, but I had no problem with that. Would stay again, and one of the best hotels on the cheaper side.

Accommodating staff

Very poor breakfast. No windows in the room, the only window looks into the passage. Bathroom was alright with a hot shower. The area was quite good for my convenient.

Was on quite residential street. No dogs running around. Easy to walk to corner and get taxi. Everyone there working hard to make your stay so pleasant. Ty

Staff was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Our room was clean, but had a strange odor, was too “bright white” and noises carried throughout the building.

New and clean hotel near city center

Room was clean and we were provided basic toiletries (shampoo & soap). We would prefer getting at least bottled water upon arriving. Location was a 5 to 8 minute walk to the nearest convenience store and fast food chain. Staff made sure our breakfast (coffee and bread) was provided promptly. They also helped hail a cab for us.

Stayed last December 2018. Originally, we should sleep for three nights but instead just slept for one. Its not that we don't like the dormitel but we need to transfer to other hotel. Overall, we love our stay and will definitely book again.

Property was clean and the service good. Room was a good size and bed was good. A/C works well. The only downside was the breakfast. One small bread roll and a packet of coffee. They would be better off not saying breakfast was provided, or put on something a little more substantial. I don't expect a 5 star breakfast from a 3 star hotel, but one can hardly call a bread roll breakfast. If breakfast was a little better they would have got 5 stars from me. In all, a good place to stay.

Stranded at Strands...

Except for the toilet bowl which no longer looks white as it should be and needs to be poured a toilet cleaner and brushed thoroughly, over all stay was good. Everything is white and the bed and pillows are comfortable.Ms. Carla, the receptionist was very accommodating but needs to familiarize herself more with the geographic location of Davao City.

Hotel is nice and convenient. But breakfast needs to be improved. Suggest to have variance. Wifi is slow in the room. Generally it was a pleasant experience.

Business Trip

The hotel is located inside the subdivision so public transport is not as convenient. The quality of the accommodation and meal is just commensurate to what I paid for.

i really loved it here. great value for your money; the room was great and they have strong wifi connection. they also have warm and kind workers here. super sulit! for someone who values her privacy and a good night's rest, this has been a home away from home for me. will definitely stay here once i get back to Davao... the only cons in this place is that they don't have an elevator...

Nice accomodation but there are flaws

Hotel is new... Not advisable for PWD since they do not have an elevator. And we were assigned to 4F. Very tiring to go up and down. During our stay, there was a water interruption.. However, they were able to provide a 5 gallon mineral water for our use. Said that water will come back the next morning.. But it didn't.. Water is weak in both faucet and shower.. Especially when you flushed the water in the toilet bowl. Water heater is not functioning well.. The only thing that I am happy about this hotel is it is new.. and it is clean. Staff are fine.. they are always apologetic about the incoviniences. Hotel should improve the breakfast.. They only serve 1 bread and 1 coffee.

A shame.Faulty alarm system kept me awake.

There was a fault with the fire alarm system which resulted in the alarm bleeping every 2 seconds.I was exhausted from traveling and could not sleep.The staff said he would call a technician to fix the fault..... The Next day.... Nothing. No repair.Still bleeping sound. Not happy.

The property is new.. and is really sparkling clean. dont look forward for the breakfast as it is very simple, but still very hospitable.

the workers were approachable,nice and helpful,the entire hotel was clean and accommodating.hoping to book this hotel next vacation lastly it was near to Victoria mall,food courts,restaurants,spa and clothes washer and dryer area which were all important when vacationing.The best location so far.

The Strand

Highly recommended, from the property that is maintained being clean all the time up to the staff who are very accomodating. The property is very near to malls i.e SM Lanang, Abreeza Ayala, Victoria Plaza, Gaisano Mall. Since its located downtown it will not be a problem looking for meals from fine dining resto upto local carinderia.

Superb king size stay at a bargain rate

The Strand Suites and Dormitel is a new budget hotel (open for 6 months), centrally located, only a few minutes walk from the Victoria Plaza but (possible because it is so new) none of the taxi drivers recognised the name. The best bet is to take a copy of the location in Google maps - in fact it's just a few metres from the Road 2/Road 1 junction with Surveryor Street. New build on four floors (reception and dining area on ground floor). 15 rooms with fast wi-fi access covering the whole hotel. No lift. Good size room Comfortable king size bed Built in wardrobes (no safe) En-suite comfort room with hot shower. Efficient Air-con. Cable TV (Sky) approx 15-20 channels. Desk and two stools. No telephone. Soap & very high quality towels. Spotless room. No outside window, but bright room Some noise echoing from another room down the corridor but not too intrusive. Basic breakfast (bun with a fried egg and 3-in-1 coffee). Very helpful and responsive staff. Very competitive rate I chose the hotel based on some very positive reviews on online sites and was not disappointed. A real gem of a find.

A Good night sleep and accommodation!

Though tucked in a nondescript in the heart of Davao City, this hotel has a lot of heart. The front desk/concierge personnel Claire was very helpful. The rooms are very clean and well-kept, for the rate I paid per night which was really surprisingly cheap, the accommodations and condition surpassed my expectations.

Comfy and clean

Given that it was my first time in Davao as a solo traveller, Strand Suites and Dormitel gave me a bird's eyeview of what to expect in the city as a whole. Safe, nice people and it's pretty much easy for me to blend in considering that I speak the same dialect as well. The hotel has a very accommodating staff who never fail to attend to my every needs no matter how small it is like inquiring about nearby places to go and how to get there. Didn't get the room I reserved

Searched the hotel in the middle of a residential area. Quite hard to locate. Booked a matrimonial room but when I got there I was told that no matrimonial room was available. I was instead offered a single room with additional bed which I didn't take. It was disappointing. The lady staff though was nice.

The experience at this hotel was great. We really appreciated that food was not allowed in the rooms, even if we were hungry, because many places we have been to have bugs but there were none in sight here! If you are hungry, they have a lounge area by the front desk and there are many options nearby for food as well. The hotel was great and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! I would recommend this hotel to others. We definitely will be back!

Besser nicht buchen

Leider bin ich von dem Service sehr enttäuscht! Bei der Anreise und Check-In versuchte man mir ein anderes Zimmer als gebucht zu geben! Die Badezimmer Ausstattung ist mehr als sparsam! nach dem Duschen ist das ganze Bad mit Wasser nass. Das Frühstück besteht aus einer Tasse Kaffee und einem in der Microwelle aufgewärmten Brötchen! Geschmacklich eine Katastrophe! Besser nichts essen! Im Zimmer sind kaputte Fliesen an denen man sich verletzen kann!

全般では価格の割には、非常に満足でした。しかしながら、冷蔵庫がない事、部屋の中に小さなアリが40－50匹程いた事、部屋に外部への窓がなかったので、圧迫感を感じました。
