Historical and magical

St Regis Rome is a magnificent hotel Location, excellent, staff, excellent, good, excellent, charm, incredible. Everything about this hotel is magical. I have to mention two members of staff even though every single member of staff were incredible. Pietro and Marco who both work in the bar and dining area made my stay one of the most memorable visit to any hotel I've ever had. Really great people, thank you.

Excelent hotel

St Regis Grand Hotel is simply the best hotel in Rome. ALL the staff has been phenomenal ( especially Anna from front desk and the restaurant managers and staff) They have gone above and beyond to make our stay the most comfortable and luxurious experience in their hotel. Five stars all the way from checking in and on the day we checked out.

The property does not have a pool. Very poor gym and spa facilities. The AC does not work.

This hotel is spectacular and the staff were so kind and helpful. We had to stay in Rome an extra five days to deal with an unfortunate situation and we felt so comforted and well looked after by everyone.

We LOVED this hotel. Everybody was absolutely incredible. We got an upgrade to a suite. And we couldn't have been happier. What a treat. Amazing night for the 31st December. Fabulous entertainment. We will come back!

Splendid hotel! Outstanding! The room was one of the best i ever been. And I only go to the best hotels in the world! Every thing was more then expected. I was upgrade for juniorsuit- amazing. For sure I will be coming again. It is a little far from where I’m regular ( fendi hotel) but it’s so much better!!!

The property was fantastic. Classic opulence but also a very cool, hip vibe in the lobby area and lumens restaurant. The room was stunning. Very fresh and new. We even got an upgrade to an even more spacious room. Thank you! The truffle Alfredo at the restaurant is amazing. On Thursday’s there’s music and an awesome cocktail hour at the lobby restaurant. The airline lost my luggage and then delivered the wrong luggage. The concierge staff helped to arrange the delivery of my bags and brought them right to me once things were straightened out. 2 I cannot say enough about the concierge and management staff. They were so helpful and accommodating during a very difficult time. I am so grateful for all of them, but in particular Michele who went above and beyond to help. There are no words that properly describe the impact he had on our stay in Rome; and there’s no other hotel I would ever stay in after experiencing the support that the St Regis staff provided. Thanks to each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart!

Great location and amazing room! Would recommend for anyone in Rome!

The rooms are great. The service all-around is spotty and inconsistent. It’s trying to become a hotel of stature but it does not live up to being 5 stars from a service point of view. Could use some soul.

Top luxury St. Regis Rome

The magnificent luxurious Rome St. Regis hotel was fully renovated recently. St. Regis Rome is in excellent location it close to most landmarks of the ancient city. Arrival was welcomed from the doorman & check in/check out was quick and smooth. We received free upgrade with our room and it was beautifully decorated & appointed. It will be perfect if this hotel has its onsite fine dining restaurant. BTW, our room has nice view, we really enjoyed two days short stay and we will definitely come back in the next visit.

Everything you would expect from The St Regis. Staff was on point. The amenities were top notch. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Perfect to go back to when tired from site seeing. The location was not bad as some would say. Some good walking to the sites but who doesn’t walk in Rome?

Roman Luxury

My husband and I stayed at the St. Regis Rome for the last night of our Italian Babymoon before flying back to Africa after a 10 day tour of Italy. Our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The entire staff was welcoming, friendly, and eager to please us. Upon our early arrival - we were given an upgraded room, free cocktails and snacks at the bar, and invited to a complimentary champagne toast during happy hour in the evening. I was chosen to saber a bottle of champagne open, we had more light bites and drinks and then went to dinner at a nearby restaurant. Our room was sparkling clean, the bathroom was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. Though shorter than we'd like, our stay at the St. Regis ended our trip on a high note and we will definitely come back for a visit. If you want luxury and 5+ star treatment, I highly recommend a stay here!

Great visit!

I love the St Regis Rome! The design style is glorious, and I love the concept of the rotating artwork. My room was super comfortable and really spacious, and again I loved the decor. I would say the spa is skippable, but the bar is a must visit for their unique cocktails, the nightly Champagne sabering and the live pianist. I should also say the staff was really warm and personable.

The hotel,recently re-furbished exceeded our every expectation. If you're looking for a luxury option when visiting Rome, I'd suggest that you'd find no better accommodations than the St. Regis Rome.

Once again another wonderful stay – my fifth - at the St. Regis, Rome. There are not enough words to express how wonderful this hotel is. I would give it 100 stars if that were possible. As much as I loved the old rooms, the new ones are simply gorgeous. Beautiful colors and spectacularly decorated. The beds are so comfortable. My favorite thing about visiting Rome is sitting in the lobby, sipping a glass of prosecco and listening to the piano music, along with the taking in the St. Regis scent. We arrived on a morning flight from New York City, but were given our room within 30 minutes of arriving. Luxury is a small word to describe the establishment. I cannot stress how wonderful the staff is. From check-in to check-out they are friendly and helpful. Andrea and Daniele at the front desk and Pietro in the bar are great. But most of all, the lovely Louise who always goes above and beyond to make all my stays memorable. I can’t say enough about her. Any negative reviews of this hotel are people that just like to complain. I can’t wait for my next visit to the St. Regis Rome!!!

A great option in Rome!

Great hotel, staff is amazing! The newly-renovated rooms are very nice but maybe a little too modern for us. We stayed here two years during the renovation in a room that was not yet renovated. It was big and very old-world styled - we loved it! Although we aren’t disappointed with the hotel during this stay - it really was great - we were disappointed by the room’s overly-modern design. The lobby and bar area renovation is perfectly well-done! And again, the staff is amazing!!

Exceptional stay

We stayed at the hotel for 1 week. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful during our entire stay. We were so lucky to get an instant upgrade to a room with a view to a baroque church, not to mention about the welcome champagne and farewell gift, plus the daily chocolate treats. Given that we didn't know any Italian, the concierge helped us make dinner reservations at several unique restaurants. The hotel is currently under renovation, but it didn't affect our experience. The finished lobby is absolutely gorgeous. We had afternoon tea and aperitifs there. The hotel is located in the area that is not very touristy, but it's convenient to access to many places of interests. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoy exceptional service in Rome.

Nice hotel

Came back after a long day out and found empty bottled water not replaced. But guest services was quick to address the problem.

Be careful, they spoil you terribly. The comforts, beauty, the food, the service, the causal opulence - it’s very difficult to leave.

Hotel close to sites

Hotel is fairly close to the major sites and good places to eat. The hotel is also very particular about cleaning your room 2 times a day. The staff even called to check even when I had the privacy sign on my door to see if I needed my room cleaned a 2nd time. Staff were friendly and courteous.

Unacceptable Compromises

The hotel management is gambling they can continue to operate and profit while they're conducting a massive renovation, comprising more than half of the rooms - while charging the full 5-stars prices. Unfortunately there's no way you can hide the fact you're stepping into a construction zone, replete with noise, a facade wrapped in scaffolding, emanating dust and dirt. The remaining rooms are in dire need of renovation themselves, probably not having been updated since the '80s. If management had any integrity, they would've renovated the entire hotel all at once, rather than alienating their customers - or failing that, they should've charged 3-stars prices, which is what the hotel could conceivably deliver in the midst of an overhaul. The staff made a valiant attempt at saving the reputation of a sinking franchise, but they not even magicians could hide the fact this was a decrepit hotel, unworthy of its brand and the city it is part of.

One of the Best in Rome

Five star hotel. Getting a face lift now that will make it even better. Service and food was great. We were upgraded so our room was spacious. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Poor

The hotel is very old.. the room is very small The bed is not comfortable. The hotel was under oncoming renovation. Poor breakfast menu and they charge alot for it.

The St. Regis Rome is currently being remodeled, though we were not disturbed at all by construction sounds during our stay, and the staff was always friendly and accommodating.

first class hotel

this hotel really lived up to its billings. Staff friendly and helpful throughout without being obtrusive. concierge gave good advice on places to eat etc. rooms classic rather than ultra modern but well equipped with excellent bathrooms. Was planned as birthday treat and fully delivered.

A wonderful hotel in a wonderful city.

This is a truly beautiful, opulent old hotel. From the moment you step through its doors and into its stunning entrance area you can't fail to be impressed by its old world grandeur. Sympathetically updated in the bar area and yet retaining a real splendour in its dining room, the whole place is well balanced and a class apart from hotels we have stayed in before. Our room, a junior suite, was a special indulgence for an important birthday. It's was very comfortable, spacious and perfectly presented.

Good location, Nice and Clean, Comfortable Bed.

Good quality hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpfull. Taxi stop next to hotel is very convenient. Taxis there tend to be easier to catch at these stops. The beds are very comfortable and makes it easy to recover from a busy day. We had a Queen bed with sitting area desk and two closets. Nice big bathroom room. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. Plenty of good shopping.

Lovely Hotel, Helpful Staff

We had a lovely stay, excellent breakfast in bed delivered every morning for no extra charge! Staff were very helpful and friendly, we even got a pretty candle as a leaving gift from them on check out. My only teeny tiny criticism was that there was a stain on our bed sheet, but they changed our sheets straight away. Also in a brilliant location, would recommend to anyone and everyone!

A truly "Grand" Hotel

I have been going to this Hotel for many years, this is by far my favorite. When I'm back home, I 'm always wishing I was back.

The hotel is very pretty, location is walkable to all major tourist spots.

Great location.

Everything is in walking distance such as the metro, train station and shopping. And all of what Rome is about are also within walking distance from the Spanish Steps to Trevi Fountain.

Convenient hotel and TAXI location

Friendly staff eager to help. 1 of 3 elevator was out of service for the 10 days we were there. Otherwise, not much can be improved/

Fabulous hotel in every way. Perfect location. Gorgeous, elegant rooms. Excellent staff. Butler service that is second to none. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed, when we needed it. Loved every minute of our stay !!

Hotel is nice but not a typical st Regis...

I have stayed on Roma 3 times. This was my first stay at st. Regis. The hotel is clean and nice but not the typical St. Regis. One elevator is always broken the other only worked sometimes. The staff is friendly, I would only stay if I got a great rate otherwise I would go to one of the other top Roma hotels.
