We’ve been to this resort many times. Our most recent visit will be the last. After assuring me that the incorrect items on my bill would be removed, they were not. On top of that, we had bills from other rooms added to our folio. Had I not looked through the stack of receipts, I would have been billed. This is an unacceptable mistake. Our room was not set up correctly, despite numerous emails prior to our arrival. The girls in the kids club were significantly less friendly, forcing papers in our face and telling us we better come back and pick the kids up. Very rude. Our food orders were incorrect several times. The craft cocktails were poorly prepared. We also happened to be there during a wedding. We love weddings, but it seems like something that should be mentioned at check in? Considering much of the facility that we are restricted to using (kids pool and beach) aren’t available. Why not tell us that our experience will be impacted? I had some clothing items sent to get steamed — they never came back! Had to ask multiple times. With regards to room quality, the internet was functioning less than half of our stay. TV remote broken, scale in the bathroom broken. These details matter. It’s a shame for such a beautiful property, the deterioration we experienced is one we must share with others, we’d hate for anyone to go through what we went through.

Staff is professional, limd and friendly. The rooms were OK, though not the most spacious. One big disappointment was that the fitness center was closed; instead they offered a make shift alternative in a conference room which was an extremely cramped space the size of a home gym with very limited options. Also, based on recommendations, we had very high expectations of the food at the restaurants. Marieta, the casual restaurant was OK, as it offered delicious tacos and quesedillas, but the higher end Mita was disappointing. The food quality was OK, nothing extraordinary but the portions were outrageously small.

What a magnificent location for a property! Part of the beach where they clear the rocks is amazing. The place felt totally empty. Very spacious. Excellent service. Food was overly expensive but very tasty. My favorite part was that the pools were warm so I actually wanted to stay in. Overall excellent stay.

Property is designed by an A architect. It's spacious; room design is thoughtful; staff is so, so helpful; staff responded to items that needed fixing (patio fan, safe cabinet door) in a timely manner. I'd recommend it to anyone. I love that there is a family area, although we didn't use it. Food was very good.

5-Star Experience!

I was here for 7 days. Amazing resort. Staff are extra-friendly, kind and helpful. Everything was 5-star at this place - from drinks, to food, to beach - everything. The only thing - buyer-beware the beaches in this part of the country are VERY rocky and the photos do not reflect that so if you're wanting to swim around and white sandy beaches - avoid Punta Mita.

Beautiful resort, warm heated pools, wonderful butlers, delicious food, does not feel crowded despite a busy spring break week.

Beautiful place. Recommend. Saw one roach in our bathroom but I understand that sometimes that’s unavoidable. St. Regis made our stay smooth. Took care of us and our fur baby. Beautiful beach day in beach front cabana, in room massage and romantic dinner that ended with a personal bonfire with smore ingredients.

This was the best hotel that I have ever stayed at. My boyfriend and I came here for to celebrate my birthday. The staff made me feel more special than I have ever felt in my life. The property was beyond beautiful. Five stars is not enough for this property. I will be back here very soon. I 20/10 recommend everyone to stay here.

Very dissapointed that the Spa was closed due to refurbishment. Expedia never mentioned this. The hotel offered us a 10 percent discount for masssages in room or on a makeshift place near the beach (looked awful) It is ridiculous to think a mere 10 percent discount will make up for the entire spa experience....The Spa is a major part of the resort for us, so this was a real let down.

Loved the St Regis at Punta Mita. Walking distance from the Punta Mita Golf Club. The staff is amazing and the butler service is outstanding! We will be back!

Paradise on earth. Exceptional staff and top-notch property

This property is so due for a refresh and the current operator is doing as little as possible to maintain the grounds etc. The staff wears worn out tattered uniforms. The landscaping has weeds in and kept areas everywhere. The site says the pools are heated but they are not heated. Well the upholstered stuff has stains and very worn fabrics. The food quality is very poor.

When not in a pandemic, this is a very expensive hotel and if I would of paid full price I would have been disappointed. The property is a bit tired and needs a renovation. The pool tiles were broken and calcified and landscape lights were broken. The breakfast was mediocre. Although, Punta Mary’s on the beach was really good! With that said, the service was fantastic! The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and had an outdoor shower, nice linens. The beach is really rocky but the views are spectacular!

great beds!

I usually stay at the Four Seasons but this time went for the St. Regis. The only thing about this stay that was magnificent was the bed. They kept messing up on the service. Missed housekeeping(2 out of 3 days), wrong orders, not having a taxi ready. It’s just not what I expected. Comfy beds though.

Good Hotel

Had a great time, staff was amazing. Only downside was that there were a lot of bugs in our room.

The Property was spectacular and the staff was A+ across the board. The beach is incredibly rocky so you can’t do much in the ocean at the hotel.

I was very impressed with the area, so private. St Regis takes pride and customer experience, staff is great.

Splendid chef at the Carolina, superb view, whale watching fabulous; check out simply terrible (we nearly got double charged for the accomodation by a rather unfriendly clerk), uneven quality of personnel (breakfast ordered at door simply did not arrive); does not meet the standard of the Four Seasons at Punta Mita.

Exceptional Staff. Room 6603 is not Exceptional.

Beautiful place. We stayed in room 6603 - the in room shower is horrible because would not get warm, and engineers came out and it was still horrible. We used the outdoor shower connected to our room without a problem. You expect a St. Regis to have a good shower, but this own really disappoints. Take bug spray with you. We would wake up with at least 6 new of bites each morning. They can actually be bed bugs but the hotel assured me they are mosquito bites. I don't know. Staff is exceptional: All staff at Mita Mary were exceptional, particularly Miguel. Waiters at Sea Breeze were so lovely - Rigoberto, Manuel (a lovely, lovely man), Guillermo, and Vanessa! Great fish tacos! Waiter at Carolina Restaurant - Juan Miguel was sooooooo lovely. Poolside staff closer to the Mita Mary were all just amazing. Don't remember names unfortunately. Overpriced hotel taxi - expect to pay about $240 roundtrip, excluding personal tip to the driver. Would we go back? We want to because of the staff is so lovely, but the room was a disappointment. We are leaning towards trying the Four Season instead, which is right next door.

The resort is beautiful. The staff were really helpful and responsive. We were very comfortable. The ocean is warm and beautiful but the beach is a bit rocky. We got a little bored with the food offerings inside the resort after a few days but we did go into Sayulita for a nice change of pace. Food in the restaurants is quite expensive.

Overpriced and disappointing experience

We felt that the hotel was extremely overpriced for an experience that was average. For similar hotels in a similar 5-star category, you can get much better facilities, food quality, and service. We left feeling disappointed.

We enjoyed the natural setting, vegetation, beach and the room layouts. Ocean view and general setting is awesome. Mix ceviche scrumptious and fresh! Staff are super friendly and very accommodating to guest needs. Butler service outstanding, Thank You Julio, Victor, and Luis - extremely nice!

Pros: The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. The food is delicious. We weren't traveling with children so it was nice to have a separate adult pool/beach which was quiet. Cons: Our first room smelled super musty and moldy from the AC unit. I woke up with a horrible headache and switched rooms. Ask for a second story suite. None of the jets worked in both hot tubs. Most of all, there were SO many birds on the beach, in the water and on the rocks in front. At times I felt like I was in a Hitchcock movie. I even got pooped on at dinner. I guess they are not there year round but I would avoid the hotel in April. I am not exaggerating when I say there were 500 - 1000.

Pristine beaches. Beautiful pools. Amazing food. Relaxing vibe. Sophisticated and oh so comfortable. Loved every moment. Every detail taken care of for a truly magical stay.

Favorite Hotel in Mexico

We had an amazing time in a beautiful property. The service and the food was exceptional. This is our second stay at this hotel and we hope to have many more.

Exceptional service! Due to unforeseen last minute circumstances, I ended up going alone and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable w the wonderful staff making me feel at home. If you ever get the chance to talk to Christian or Cesar there, you are in for a treat! They go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are taken care of. Plus, food is delish! Especially at Carolina!!!

Food was poor at all venues except Marietas. No taxis allowed. You have to use them to get around at abdurdly expensive rate.

A slice of heaven .

We took a week here after a hard year - we were both very tired. This place is a slice of heaven. Our suite was amazing , ocean views, palm trees , the works. Our butlers could not do enough for us. Service was amazing , all the restaurants excellent. Th grounds are impeccable . I cannot say.enough great things not only about the hotel itself, but every staff member we came across was genuinely friendly. Loved it ,, !! Now back to the grind but we are planning to go back again soon.

We received the best service ever at this wonderful hotel. From our amazing butlers, Tomas and Cayetano, to every single team member, this resort aims to please. I read up on a lot of reviews for this resort and it really was fantastic like everyone raves about. The service was impeccable. I can’t wait to go back next year - this may be my annual family spot to visit. Thank you to everyone we came across at this location. You made my daughter and mother trip one we’ll never forget.

Truly Wonderful Experience

My husband and I travel every 4 months with our kids, aged 7 and 3. We have stayed at all of the Four Seasons in Hawaii and have stayed at the one in Punta Mita. We have stayed at the One and Only Palmilla in Cabo so we have a lot to compare to when it comes to luxury resorts. I can truly say that we have never, ever had such a wonderful experience. I literally cried as we were checking out. The staff was genuinely so loving. We spent all of our 5 days at the resort with the exception of one night where we had dinner at Sufi next door. Surprisingly, we were never bored or never felt a shortage of great food at all of the restaurants. They had an Ah-mazing magic show for the kids on Friday night, that entertained my husband and I as much as it did the kids. Our days were spent at the Seabreeze pool with our waiters Cesar Castellon and Xavier Zenteno. These two gentlemen were memorable in every way. They were so attentive to our families needs day after day. At one point, Cesar saw my 3 year old struggle a bit in the pool (of course with me nearby supervising) and jumped in with his clothes, shoes and everything to get to him a split second before I thought I could. Wow! Who does that!!! He was so humble about it and brushed it off as it was a hot day and he needed the cold splash anyway. This is just the character of these amazing people at the resort. In short, I would refer anyone to stay here over and over again! Thank you St. Regis, Cesar, Xavier

Not really for kids

The resort and rooms are beautiful. The staff (especially the room butler) are great. However, this resort is not really made for families with little kids. The pools are nice, kids are limited to which pools they can go too. Using a stroller is not really recommended because there are a lot of stairs (I do not know how they are ADA compliant). The restaurants are nice, but I just wanted some traditional Mexican food, which was hard to come by. Go there is you are a couple without kids, but I think there are other places that a better suited for families.

Fantastic Resort

This was our second visit to the St. Regis Punta Mita. As was the case when we were there three years ago, the property is exceptionally well maintained, and the entire staff is focused on delivering excellent service. The grounds are expansive, and one never gets the impression of being in a crowded resort.

Getaway to paradise!

What a wonderful and relaxing time we had at the St. Regis Punta Mita! The grounds were well tended and the beach drinks just kept coming! We loved the bikes on site and had a great time touring the area inside the gates. The butlers were so responsive to text! We had delicious hot coffee delivered very promptly to enjoy from our ultra comfortable balcony overlooking the beach. Had some great meals on-site as well as in the little town of Punta Mita.

Friendly professional start, great drinks and food, Better than their neighbor The Four Seasons

Overall Nice Place

We just finished a 10 day trip at the Punta Mita St. Regis. It's a beautiful resort with well kept grounds and the staff goes above and beyond to help out....almost too much at times. The room was very nice and the bed VERY comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite, and it was a good size room, overlooking the beach and ocean. The rooms are a little dated but comfortable. The quality of foods at all of the restaurants was very good but we felt they needed more variety. There are a few alternate restaurants outside of the resort that I highly recommend. Sufi, excellent food and it's close to the resort. Just ask the staff at the St. Regis and they will drive you over in the golf cart. (5 min ride) Another excellent choice is at the Four Seasons, Aramara. Soooo good!!. This one is past where they can take the golf carts, so they will put you in a cab for $8 USD each way. Keep an eye out for Fox, Skunk, Iguana and lots of little lizards roaming the property. A special shout-out to Humberto Sanchez, who works at the Sea Breeze bar. Amazing service!. This guy deserves a raise. We saw this alot...people who love working here and they treat you like family. Trip suggestion: Bring your own bug spray. Something that works. They supply an all natural bug spray in the room, but it just doesn't work. I like the thought of no chemical sprays, but the bugs enjoyed the spray as much as our legs and we heard the same from others.

St.Regis- Perfection in Punta Mita!

Key highlights of our stay: Service- by everyone and everywhere on the resort is amazing, one mention for the beach attendants who are attentive and cater to you before you have to ask!!!! Food is varied and excellent- fish is super fresh every day, room with outside shower is as you expect from a 5 star resort and is kept very clean. Butler service is ultra effective and done by texto, internet works everywhere including the beach!! AND There is a surf break in front of the resort!!!!!!!! Improvement: as the beach/ocean is rocky around the resort, they should keep the pools cooler as it is hard to get refreshed.... I enjoy warm water but this was bath water! One thing to know: there is à beach club with a DJ in one side of the resort- you may enjoy this or not....if not- there is plenty of space on the beach to get away from the noise.

Our only issue was a slightly malfunctioning air conditioning unit. The Staff was very attentive and repaired it with diligence and gracious care. Food was wonderful, staff was first class, and the butler service is a wonderful and attentive feature. Most of the beach is rocky - though the far end of the beach was more sandy......

Beautiful indulgent experience

We had the most amazing stay at the St. Regis. The hotel is lovely, our room was perfect with a beach and pool view, outdoor shower and the most comfy pillows ever. We're headed to the store to find those and the shower head! Everyone at the hotel was so helpful and friendly. Thank you Raul, Ricardo and the gentleman at the adult pool who took care of every need and helped us with our Spanish (forgive me for not recalling his name, blame it on age not appreciativeness!). And of course a special thanks to our butlers Carlos, Cayetano and Tomas. Each of you made our stay extra special and we're very grateful. We will be back again and again. P.S. two suggestions - heated pools in winter and larger tvs

The best of the best

There are not enought points to rate this hotel. By far the best hotel I have stayed. In general al Mexicans know how to treat the turism but in this hotel they went beyond my expectations. They treat you as if you were royalty!

It was amazing, beautiful and so romantic!! The sweet highlight was the smores on the beach arrangement that was done for us. This was our Honeymoon and we already want to go back!!

Top notch service

Can not say enough about what a wonderful trip this was. Butler service was too notch, we've never experienced anything like that! And the free upgrade to ocean view upon our arrival was amazing. Occupancy was low so we felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves!!!

I stayed in this hotel a month before with friends and then went back because I loved it so much. The staff are outstanding, the spa is great, the food is delicious and the location is amazing. I highly recommend it. The rooms are just gorgeous and come with butler service that is a great touch.

Paradise with Butlers

The Mita Mary beach Seafood bar was delicious... fresh, light, tasty... with your toes in the sand and the Pacific Ocean as the back drop. The grounds were gorgeous and professional cared for. The infinity pool and ocean helped cool us off in the July heat (their slow season). They had activities every day for guests in which we participated and had great fun. All of that was amazing. But what really sets St. Regis Punta Mita resort apart is the service. World class! The Butlers are truly the best at what they do. They don't simply do what you ask, they suggest things you never would have thought of. They take pride in their jobs. They're smart, kind, and courteous. I have been in Restaurants and hospitality most of my life (trained in hotels) and the entire staff did such a good job. Go here. Relax. Treat yourself to the best. Feel like royalty. And then come back to the real world feeling refreshed!

St. Regis

The St. Regis Punta Mita is an amazing hotel with excellent service. It's worth every penny.

Marvelous hotel, but concerned it is declining

We have been to many hotels in Mexico and the St. Regis was at the top of the list. We have stayed there twice and at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita, as well. We are getting the sense that the prospective takeover by Marriott is causing some complacency in the staff and personnel. The staff remains excellent in service and attitude, and the grounds are well cared for, but the rooms are not as impeccable as they used to be. One irritant is that the bedding does not smell fresh and clean. We make it a point to stay at five-star hotels - e.g. One and Only Palmilla in Cabo, Nizuc resort in Cancun - this one is slipping. That is regrettable.

Wonderful vacation. Staff couldn't be better!

Great week. Loved the butler service. Outdoor shower in our room in addition to a large indoor one. Book your dinner reservations in advance or you might be eating at the same casual restaurant night after night. Don't dare miss the Friday night BBQ on the beach - a highlight of the trip for sure. Call St. Regis for airport transfer. It's not free but it is where the experience should begin. Wonderful place if you are looking for R&R. My 10 year old made a friend the moment we got there and had a grand time but had she not found someone to hang with, she might have been bored.

Beautiful facility - Staff needs some work

It seems like there was high turnover among the staff, as several employees we spoke to had been on the property less than six months. We changed rooms after the first night due to noise from a group function on the beach near our room. Unfortunately, the guest manager on duty the next morning didn't seem to think he had the authority to move us, though he had a room available. He told us we had to wait for the Room Manager, who was to come in at 9. At 9:30, the manager still had not come to work, so we asked the first manager to just move us, which he did.

Amazing service, stunning resort. Couldn't ask for more
