Our experience at St Regis Chengdu was fabulous! Butler service was a great experience. We had hot beverages served to our room every night upon request. Special commendation to the concierge, Alan. He helped us book tickets to the museum and coordinated our luggage transfer from Chengdu to Shanghai. He went beyond to facilitate the inspection of our luggage contents and even recorded the whole process at our request and shared with us via WeChat! This gave us peace of mind to continue with our travel itinerary. We strongly recommend him for a Service Excellence Award! We would say that St Regis has really lived up to its name and even exceeded our expectations!

I was a little concerned when I arrived because they couldn't find my reservation, but that was quickly rectified. For such an international brand, I was a bit surprised by the lack of English abilities of the staff. However, I truly enjoyed my stay at the St. Regis. The room was spacious and well lit, the bed the was absolutely wonderful, and the amenities were equally excellent. I chose this hotel because of the pool (outside although I could only use it for 2 days because of the weather) and it did not disappoint. I would have liked the pool bar to have been open in order to get refreshments while lounging in the sun all day. Thankfully, there is a Starbucks in the mall attached to the hotel so a quickly scooted over there for a coffee and some dessert. I highly recommend this hotel for its location and its amenities.

Am very impressed with the good service provided by the stuff, special mention is Leo, who give us a lot of help in getting around Chengdu. Leo go beyond his duty to help us around the beautiful city, and even extend his help beyond our stay duration. Well done St. Regis Chengdu. You have a great team!

Excellent service as always

The service at St. Regis is impeccable as always. That's why I only stay in St.Regis. However, I was really disappointed in the condition of our room. It was like staying in worn down Super 8 Inn in the states. Absolutely unacceptable. I told the butler and his response was our hotel has been open a quite long time thats why the condition is this terrible. Wow! never heard this before. I am switching to Four Season for my next stay in Shanghai.

I had a great time staying at this hotel. The room is clean, modern and spacious, the property is immaculate, and the service is exceptional. The only drawback is that the lobby is kind of small (maybe it is just the style of St Regis).

Room was exceptionally clean and spacious, love the soft product (great slippers!) Was surprised that bookings via Expedia does not get loyalty reward points for the stay. Given the price paid this is rather disappointing.

The room was a little bit dated. Especially the couch and coushions. They really need to be cleaned or replaced. Other than this, the room was big and the breakfast was really good.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms are cery large and very clean. The checkin was extremely long. China taked longer, but it took us about20 minutes to get checked in. The room servixe menu was pretty good and service was relatively quick. Overall a great hotel, but the staff was young and needed a little more training in processes to expedite check in and check out.

Outstanding stay, wished we could extend it!

We had a superb stay in this property! Cannot fault the service and the level of attention. We were there for an anniversary celebration and the hotel made it extra special. Little gifts for my 7 year old also earned brownie points! If I had to pick one area of improvement, it would be the sound from the air conditioner. Special mention to a staff from the Social Kitchen - Ms. Abby Zhao. A bright, attentive and fast worker, with a ready smile! Buffet dinner at the Social was very yummy, many special dishes.

Hotel facilities: Standard hardware of typical five star hotels. Nothing bad but nothing really impressive. Hotel location: yes the location is good but still it takes 10 min walk to reach ifs, taikoo mall area for food.... and given it’s really hard to grab a taxi for such a short ride, it’s not a desirable hotel to stay if you are travelling to Chengdu in summer season. Hotel service: Terrible! The hotel staff are all very nice. However all lack of proper and professional training. I guess the hotel management s not handled by the st Regis group, it’s really terrible and messy. I’ve got hotel staff calling me and knocking my door after midnight for something I did not requested. I’ve informed in advance the number of us but they still missed out some of the room supplies. They give you apple when you request for Apple while in shangari la they got everything ready without even a request. Everyday we need to queue to get into the restaurant for breakfast. Sometimes they might ask you to sign a “bill” to “confirm you have been to the restaurant” even you have already provided the room number when settled to the seat.(what is the point of this?) The noodle place auntie never really treat your request seriously. She might not cook the right portion and right noodle if you don’t stand there and watch. She put the noodles that fell on the table back to customers bowl and boiling soup. Feels like waiting food at a street market in small alley....

Fantastic room, can't find any issues there but the hotel lobby is a little tired which doesn't create the best first impression.

Wow! Not!

Everything worked but overall didn’t have a warm feeling much less a wow. Staff were nice but many new staff still needs training. The bed is getting lumpy.

Absolutely terrible service. I would advise for anyone to stay at the Ritz Carlton instead. Rooms were hot and i was told by a manager that it was because chinese people are cold during this time. And im not chinese, so they dont cater to foreigners? checking in was stressfull because they kept taking people on the side as i was checking in. Room service took 45 minutes for a cheese pizza and it was almost impossible to get a glass of cold water from the downstairs little bar in the lobby.

Terrible service, ruined our whole trip

Totally incompetent hotel staff and management, not worthy of the St. Regis brand. In sweltering 80-90 degree Chengdu our air conditioner unit was totally broken, each day we would tell the front staff that our room wouldn't cool below 80 degrees, and each day they would tell us it "appeared to be okay." Each night we would wake up in the heat and each morning we would be groggy and have to nap during the day and experience less of our trip. Undoubtedly the lowlight of our trip, I am extremely disappointed in our stay at the St. Regis Chengdu. Hedge your bets and stay at the Ritz, we had better service going there one night for dinner and drinks than we did during our entire stay at the St. Regis.

Nice Staff Sunny, she is very helpful and do her best to find two rooms in the same floor and closer together. Room is good and nice. Good experience to enjoy free drinks and foods at 5:30-7:30pm. everyday. Foods and drinks is good.

Friendly staff , had a very warm welcome , concierge very helpful and try their best to accommodate me. I stayed in the st regis suite , it was a nice experience, butler service was ok , nothing special, felt a bit pressured to tip, the spa was very big and nice and priced so cheap considering the many services I requested. Location is nice , in the middle of the longest shopping district that stretches for miles.

Great new hotel in downtown Chengdu. Rooms spacious, well appointed and comfortable, well insulated for privacy, no hallway noise. All the finer details well attended to, and excellent service, from checking to cleaning to greeting upon arrival. Definite 5 star service

Staff were polite and helpful especially Rebecca, she has all the right answers for my questions. Room was very clean and spacious, the fitness center and swimming pool were great and the restaurant was good too. I enjoyed my 5 nights stay there. Will say there again next time.

I stayed at St Regis Chengdu for a total of 3 nights, on two occasions within the same week in September 2016, after spending consecutive nights drinking and dining there in the week before, in preparation for a Skype interview (to ensure Internet connection) and for my upcoming stay at St Regis Lhasa. Despite some major doormen/taxi issues, I very much enjoyed my time at St Regis Chengdu. The beds and their special pillows were extremely comfortable, and I slept as if a fish in a pool. The linens and towels were always white. The night view from the room was quite soothing. I also very much enjoyed watching BBC in the tub, outside the spacious shower room. Most importantly, however, I enjoyed my time at the hotel because of the hospitality and assistance that some of its staff extended me, namely, Quincy, Ersipit Pelawi, Ly Wu, Gary, Sabrina Liu and Sunny both of whom also helped me deal with my upcoming stay at St Regis Lhasa, a concierge who most efficiently (and for RMB200 cheaper than I had thought) got me a bottle of scotch for my trip to Lhasa, and all the bar staff especially Jessica (who since left), Aimee, Karron, Sophia, Lucy and Micky who were all extremely sweet. I practised quite a bit of Mandarin with Karron on one morning. The two seamstresses who mended some of my old clothes were both very good. The management was very generous in giving me a complimentary spa treatment during my first stay (and surprised me on the complimentary part when I checked out).

Outstanding experience

Great experience for an English speaking foreigner. Staff is gracious and helpful. Walking distance to Tianfu Square and Chunxi pedestrian road for shopping. Several concerts at nearby soccer stadium interrupted traffic to that area of town. St. Regis was far enough away that is was not a problem. Electric plugs are multinational. Sitting areas and bathroom were luxurious. Large closet for clothes. No problems with the hotel so we could focus on visiting the sights of Chengdu...tell the Panda's hello for me when you go.

Review of St Regis' Service commitment.

For a five star Hotel, St Regis Chengdu felt oddly least welcoming and comfortable. Unlike St Regis in other cities, I do not feel welcomed at check in and missed the attentiveness of the Hotel preparing for my young child. Bathrobe, flip flop etc. When I am put up in the major brands, such attentiveness is never missed. Even when I encountered an incident with a non~functioning room key during a rush, the front desk personnel was not the least apologetic and simply took his time to resolve the matter while leaving me in the lurch, wondering what really happen! I have always held St Regis in the above Five star category, but I am rather disappointed by the service of St Regis in Chengdu.

Highly Recommend

Weekend trip with a friend to tour Chengdu. Beautiful hotel, outstanding breakfast and lunch buffets. Impeccable service. Highly recommend. We were in the car a lot for our tours, so can't quite comment on the neighborhood, but it was within walking distance to food stalls, shopping and restaurants.

Location is good. Room is spacious. Decorations are old but acceptable.

房間面積相當大，環境舒適！ 雖然硬體設備（電視畫質、吹風機外型）沒有新穎現代感，電視遙控器有點不靈敏，但整體住起來很舒適。浴巾若能再澎鬆點就更好了。 床和枕頭非常舒服，相當喜歡。 早餐種類非常多，同事們都很滿意。 地理位置也好，離商圈近。

房间设备略显老旧，餐饮服务选择有限，早上自助餐那个老大姐服务意识不够。总体离5星还是有距离。

酒店員工親切友善，服務貼心。酒店位置中央，到景點非常方便。但我認為酒店的環保意識不足夠，房間裏沒有環保的選擇。期待日後可以讓旅客選擇是否每天都要換毛巾及其他環保的選項。

房間空間很大，設備也很好，但酒店的餐飲絕對不合五星酒店之水平，自助晚餐食物質素，味道只能勉強算三星酒店自助餐等級，火煱料少得可憐，看上去也不太新鮮，拿食物器具竟然異常燙手，我也差點給燙傷。

Best in Chengdu

It was amazing experience. We arrived midnight, Adam helped us to register very easily. And they offered 300 points to get free breakfast of my daughters. My daughter forgot ear ring and ring, but they sent an e mail to get them. Swimming pool was great and food was nice.We also enjoyed free WiFi in the room. Definitely I will stay there again!
