Value for money 5* staff 5*
Great little place for the money! Maybe I wouldn’t stay again but that’s personal choice. The noise from the road is a pain! Especially when you want to rest. I’ve given this 5* due to the price and value for money. We are out so can’t comment on the food but again for the cost to include breakfast this a bargain.
Great place to stay if you want something that is away from the main area. The staff mirrors a five star resort. The front desk welcomes you with a smile every time. I will stay here next time I come. The room with the jacuzzi is well worth the money. The views are breath taking.
This place is amazing. Do yourself a favour, spoil yourselves! Loved it!
Paradise
Had a beautiful 5 nights in a pool villa overlooking the beach. It was exactly what we expected, so peaceful and private but not too far from restaurants and experiences. Staff were friendly, breakfast was tasty and the room was delightful.
A lovely small independent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The sea view pool villas are definitely worth having as it gives you more space and privacy along with fabulous views across the bay. We had a few minor issues in the room but the staff rectified these immediately , much quicker than many other hotels in previous years. You don't get all the amenities and glitz of the big hotel chains , but personally i prefer the friendlier approach this hotel gives you. Well worth staying at if you want to have a great view from a pool villa.
Wonderful location beautiful beach
Gorgeous oceanfront setting. Stunning views. Extremely friendly and helpful.
Lovely big rooms and the property’s gardens are beautiful. Right on the beach with a lovely pool overlooking the ocean (although it can get crowded). Restaurant also looks over the ocean and the daily breakfast is great. Gym is very small and needs new equipment. Closest convenience store is a 10 minute walk. Overall lovely property and good value.
Over valued. Don’t stay here. No after 5pm management support. Very limited parking. Buffet is substandard. House keeping is lousy.
Our trip
Great hotel, very clean and very friendly staff. Great location just 5 mins in a taxi to the busy areas
Great hotel stay!
Booked a sea view villa with private pool. Impressed with the room. Room is spacious, bed is comfy, bath tub was really big. Nice lounging area by the pool. The living room area was in another room which doesn’t have a tv. It was a really nice stay with amazing view of the sea. Remember to keep your food away as the ants are really quick to attack your food in the room! And also you’ll need a car to get to places as the area is not really walkable. Would definite recommend this hotel and would come back again!
Nice upgrade and friendly Staff.
Great staff
Very limited staff due to covid but they’re extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Beds are not the best but you can’t beat the view and the hospitality
The hotel is dated. You can see this all through the room, gym and the restaurant. The gym literally smelled mold and was pretty small. The whole hotel is very close to a busy road, therefore expect loud noise from cars and bikes during the night as the acoustics is terrible. However, the pool area was great and it was a walking distance to all the bars/restaurants.
Great experience
Amazing stay, great view, easily accessible to the beach, very nice staff, breakfast was bit disappointing as there wasn't much options. But overall, really enjoyed the stay!
the lobby toilets were very clean. the restaurant staff were very attentive. the room was too close to road and it was noisy. some of the other guests were allowed to leave their towels on sun lounges all day even when not there in person and as such inhibited use by other guests at the hotel at various times.
I had a few issues with things not working upon check in, received a call and visit from the Manager the next morning and things were rectified with Immediate effect. Thank you Khun Oil
Great experience overall
We had a great experience overall! The hotel, rooms, pool, and beach were beautiful! Food wasn’t all that. Breakfast was included but it was pretty bad. Fruits and veggies tasted rotten and fresh juices are not fresh. They don’t have gluten free options. If you are celiac or have a non-celiac gluten allergies your options will be very limited. My main complaint is that at times, it felt like they were trying to get money out of you any way possible. Unlike other 4/5 star hotels, they charge 400 bah for the transfer from and to the airport/pier. My husband came a day later and they charge us again! Overall I enjoyed my stay! You have a the beach right there and the rooms are pretty incredible. It’s about 25 mins from Chaweng and about 300 bah each way.
good 3.5/5
the service was very good the staff were friendly the hotels was clean and the private pool was very nice, yet the room needs renovation its a bit worn out, the bed was not comfortalbe as well, and the breakfast area was amazing yet the food was not good at all too little choices and not tasty.
Great for a couple's weekend getaway
The Sarann is one of the best boutique hotels I've ever stayed at. The property is a bit old, but they've kept it in very good condition. Staff are friendly and the spa is amazing! Even if I didn't stay at this property, I would definitely visit the spa.
The place is well maintained, rooms were spacious. The gym is a nice perk, although it doesn’t have AC and gets hot in there! I’d stick to the Eastern menu, we had a few questionable meals from the Western menu (steer clear of the pizza!). The view is nice but the beach definitely needs work, messy and full of trash.
Nice hotel with helpful crews.
Nice hotel with helpful crews. The restaurant locates at the beach nearby, I had breakfasts and dinners with the sound of nature.
Enjoyed My Stay
It was a nice delight to stay here. When entering, you can tell you are at a different caliber hotel. The entrance is nice, with the reception on the right. They check you in quickly, and then when you seen the room, you almost don't want to leave it. It is so nice and pleasant. The slippers here are the best I have used anywhere. The gym has all that I needed to get my workout in, which is important, and the Spa there is really nice, with reasonable pricing. Its also hard to beat the view from the dining area as you get to see the water and it looks so nice. I will surely come back here as I got a lot for the price. It is a bit far from the downtown (25 min walk) yet not hard to get a grab cab or taxi.
Nice location overlooking water but no beach front.
Very good hotel
Beautiful hotel with great location. Very recommended for couples and family’s.
Great Locations. Small and quiet which we love. Great Seaview from the hotel. 3 minutes walk to the beach as hotel not directly on the sandy beach. Buffet breakfast is average. Overall would recommend this place. P.S. we booked at the last minute so get good deal for the price :)
Very good Seaview with private pool, staff service is good and specially made some decoration for our anniversary in our room.
Nice hotel, friendly staff and close to the beach
Our overall stay was enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, the cocktails were really nice, the authentic thai food was a bit pricey but very nice. Close to walk along the beach where there are other restaurants cheaper. Stayed in a pool villa having our own private pool was very romantic.
Nice hotel with amazing sea view
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Amazing sea view, right next to the beach with lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel room just needs a bit of a touch up but we had a very enjoyable stay.
Beautiful Honeymoon Spot!
We loved the resort and our private pool villa! It was the perfect honeymoon spot. Staff were courteous and friendly, and no language barriers. Would recommend this place to others!
Needed updating
Photos looked great before we arrived. It looked very romantic and relaxing. The photos were better than the the physical room. When we were showed to our room the outside door did not close properly and the furniture had had a hard life. The desk legs were not parallel but slanted in. The manager was responsive with our complaints, and we were then upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite. It looked great although the decor was the same, in need of an update. The Jacuzzi did not work and we asked staff to send someone to look at it several times but no improvements were made. During our time there we overhead numerous complaints that rooms were leaking so considered ourselves lucky with the faulty jacuzzi. The beach was nice although very tidal. The shuttle into Chaweng was helpful, and the air conditioning was amazing.
Nice hotel
Hotel staff are friendly and very kind. They prepared a room for us even though we arrived early morning. Little bit far to the main beach but quiet and peaceful around the hotel.
Loved everything about this hotel. Everything was perfect and convenient.
Lovely hotel villa close to the beach
After a long flight, it was great to be given a free upgrade to a jacuzzi villa. We loved how big the villa was and the exterior was beautiful and serene. The hotel pool was amazing overlooking the sea and access to the beach. A great hotel and the staff were brilliant - always courteous, friendly and willing to help organise taxi or carry our luggage to/fro the reception area. Our stay was wonderful and relaxing thanks to the hotel.
Nice position, welcoming staff, always smiley.
Been in February, nice period to enjoy Samui weather, sunny all day, been at Full moon party. Amazing experience. Samui has an amazing environment around. Full of trips to discovers the small islands around it.
Nice hotel but room is very noisy
My only complaint is that my room is facing the main road and it is very noisy day and night.
Great place, great staff
Started my trip to very bad weather but the manager and staff made sure my trip was as pleasant as possible under difficult circumstances. Hotel itself is fantastic. Slightly out the way, so nice and quiet. I stayed in the pool villa which was lovely. All in all, a good experience.
Amazing hotel amazing views
This was the best hotel I've stayed at, and I've travelled to many places. The accomodation is absolutely beautiful as well as the staff! So happy I was able to stay in this lovely hotel for a week and can't wait to go back and share this experience with my family and friends.
The view of the resort what amazing, sea view:)
The room was spacious with big tub and Jacuzzi provided. Google The Sarann for more details:) Daily 2 times shuttle service to main town. Such a convenience:) STAFFS ARE AWESOME WITH THEIR CONSTANT SMILES:)
Nice hotel, close to beach
Location was not great due to busy road which affects any rooms on that side of hotel. Lovely staff. Clean hotel, although general wear & tear was clear to see.
Nice facilities. Rooms are OK, probably sub-par
We stayed here for 3 nights. Good: - Pool & View - Breakfast (just the eggs need improvement) - Tour service, non-overpriced rides Bad -Toilet doesn't flush -Shower doesn't get hot water -Shower has 2 heads and the better one doesn't work If you're used to basic things working the way it should, this hotel is not for you.
Boutique hotel on beach headland
3 families (incl pre teens & teenagers) together for 13days. Deluxe rooms starting with 2xx are away from rd thus quieter. Limited nearby restaurant choice outside of resorts. Beach good with usual activities on offer;prefer over Bo Phut & Chawang. Can snorkel off beach for some coral & fish.
we checked out earlier.
We were not happy about this property. It is right on the main road, loud and busy. We also had a loud air conditioner unit in our room, which kept us awake all night. The restaurant was mediocre (in our opinion). We were booked for four nights, but decided to check out the next morning, pay a bit more and stay at another hotel, so we could enjoy our vacation.
Friend's jacuzzi room - bad plan.
A little far from chewang and lamai beach which is a let down. Takes about 500thb to get to either. It's in the middle of both. About 4km either direction is a beach. Also on the main road so can always hear loud cars and bikes in the room. Also was not aware of the style of bath room. No doors? Honeymoon would be great here but 4 friends going for a vacation => one has to wait outside while the other showers.
Great location, nice pool and amenities.
Great staff, and big rooms and bathrooms. Pool is small and you need to get there early to reserve a seat - but very close to the beach .
Close to beach, nice pool
Friendly staff, large rooms, pool over looking water (beautiful), very clean and good value for money. Hard beds, smell in rooms, shower was erratic, breky pricey if u dont but it inclusive with the room. Hire scooters at the hotel great way to get around and explore + the lady at the hire part of hotel is lovley! Good place it u want to b just a little bit away frm the hussle but only 10-15 mins via scotter and taxi accros road.
Happy Traveler
Literally nothing bad to say. It was awesome.
Very much enjoyed our vacation.
Staff were exceptional.
Grate Hotel, bad location
The hotel is grate, no doubt about it. The room is clean and very spacious, has huge bathtub, large bad, and incredible jacuzzi. Some of the rooms has private swimming pool. Hotel's pool is nice, has endless ocean view. We truly had a grate time in the hotel, staff are worm welcoming and the food is good. The hotel will better suit romantic couples or young families. The only down side to the hotel it's his location... Chaweng Noi is 15min drive from Chaweng (which is the center of attention), and there is no safe way to walk the distance. The hotel offers daily shuttle to Chaweng at 13:00 and 17:00, which is nice, but there is nothing to do outside the hotel at night. Take into account that taxi ride to Chaweng is only 3$, so the location is not even a problem. The hotel will better suit those who want few days of peace and quiet. Bottom line, i highly recommend it.
Best resort we have ever been to!
The Sarann welcomed us so warmly and showed us such wonderful hospitality. The staff were very helpful, friendly and great with communication. They even accommodated for us when we were accidentally late for breakfast. Our room was immaculate every day and the views are simply breathtaking. We didn't want to leave! Such an awesome experience to have especially for our first time in Koh Samui.
normal travelling
overall is great. the only problem is the tap water seems salt water.
Good hotel
Good hotel for a good price. The room was clean but a little bit old, the bed was not so comfortable. The staff is amazing and very kind. In general the hotel worth its price.
Nice hotel, close to the beach
It is a little worn down in some places, but it's a beautiful property with a great pool on an amazing beach. Hotels not bad but don't be fooled by their happy hour drinks, I don't drink and had 4 with not so much as a buzz
Nice hotel, terrible service
Like most of the places in Thailand, unluckily, the service is not the best (you get used to it though) and it is completelly worth going to see all the beautiful beaches they have. The hotel's room is very nice. The restaurant has a really good view to the beach and the prices are good.
Nice hotel close to the beach and not far from bar
We visit the sarann located in room 322 not recommend this room far from all the facilities . But room 316 was nice and closer to all the facilities . Also don't recommend to take any activity from the hotel cross the road and everything is much cheaper .
Don't understand your request
The hotel has a great private pool facing the sea. Room size is large and comfortable. Huge bathroom, sun deck and sitting room. Service and food quality is good. Location is close to the main beach where restaurants and shopping activities are. Hotel provides shuttle bus service twice a day at 1 and 5 pm. i would stay at Sarann again.
Lack of management. Food not great.
It's a lovely looking hotel in a lovely location. The food was very disappointing. My main gripe was that during our stay my partner slipped on some wet steps and injured his back quite badly. Badly enough that he was actually taken to hospital by ambulance from the hotel. On return to the hotel there was no apparent concern shown by the hotel, and no management got in contact in the rest of our stay to find out what happened or to ask if there was any way they could help. Terrible service. The rest of my holiday was ruined as a result of the hotel's slippery steps and I don't feel they really cared at all.
Nice hotel
Perfect for couples. Nice SPA, good restaurant and there is a nice beach nearby. The room is spacious and clean. The only problem is that its difficult to control the temperature of the bath tube. The location is quite far away from the main town. You need to pay around 300bahts to get to Chaweng. Anyway most people join local tours and they will pick you up in the hotel. The location is not a problem. It is a nice hotel which I will recommend to my friends.
Hotel is a bit tired
It's a little way out of chewang main streets, you need to get a taxi Everywhere. I upgraded to a pool villa as this Was the only way to get a sea view, this cost me another £600 for 6 nights
Excellent
13 night stay in April, good rooms, great staff, wonderful stay.
amazing staff, perfect location, wonderful stay
We stayed for about 10 days at the Sarann and it is easily the best place to stay in samui. wonderful staff, they are all very helpful and pleasant and the services were nothing short of perfect. Location is perfect...a short distance from both lamai and chaweng. A special mention for the travel and transport desk - whether you want a taxi, scooty, directions or a good deal for sea walking snorkeling etc or simply advice on what to do in samui, you don't need to go anywhere outside the hotel..just walk to the traveldesk and the nice lady sitting there will handle everything for you at the best prices. Highly recommended. Exceptional place to stay and wonderful people.
This is NOT a 4 star hotel!!
Dissapointed in the condition this place is in. The place is very run Down do not be fooled like I was by the photos on the website. We paid in full via Expedia with no refund policy so we were stuck for five nights in this resort. We were moved three times to different rooms during our stay as the toilets would not flush, the doors to balcony would not open, no power including fridge and air con turning on and off. I questioned them on their star rating to which I was told it is four stars to the locals.... Expedia need to lower the rating so this doesn't happen to other travellers. We hired a motor bike from this resort given to us with a flat tyre and told us to go pump it up ourselves.....the customer service is poor. The Sarann is kept tidy but they do not maintain or replace anything that is falling apart. Do not pay full rate for this place or pay extra for the jakuzzi room. The jakuzzi room is no nicer than the Delux. There isn't enough water pressure to fill the jakuzzi anyway.
Acceptable but certainly not 'deluxe'
The type of room you stay in at this hotel will greatly affect your stay- the deluxe rooms are really uninspiring. The hotel is situated away from the hustle of chaweng but close enough for a cheap tuc tuc or a cruisy scooter ride. Its not too far from silver beach too which is stunning. As for the service, the staff were really pleasant but unmotivated to give good service. We had to request towels twice and waited hours for housekeeping. Also we paid full price for breakfast and it was measly. If breaky is not included in your stay go elsewhere. we paid 1000 bart and our bread was stale, and there were very limited options. The beds were terrific- comfy large and clean. Bathroom was nice, but like many thai resorts a mouldy stench filled the room. No biggie for me but I'm not that fussy.Room service finishes at 10:30 Pm so if you're wanting a late night snack, tough luck. Also we had a spare empty wooden room connected to our bathroom which served no function- looked a bit haunted and vacated- Apparently our room was used as a family room at times but because it was for 2 people it was just empty and sad looking. If you can get a good price, go for it, but its a no frills experience. if we didn't pay through the roof I'd be more forgiving.
Small boutique hotel with nice rooms
The hotels rooms are lovely- very relaxing and it's location is ideal for beach and views. It's a little too close to the main road so can be noisy, and is also a drive away from any decent restaurants, so be prepared to travel unless you want to eat at the hotel 3x a day. Food at the hotel was decent, though the breakfast was the same every day, and after 4 days got very boring! The rooms are very well designed and comfortable, with stunning lighting. Generally, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. There was a couple of issues like the toilet broke, and then the safe, which had all of our things inside. The broken safe, especially, caused quite a bit of inconvenience. Mostly, the issues were resolved quite quickly, though we were not offered any kind of compensation, which I was surprised. I would stay at the Saran again, though not in peak season, as the pool area is too small for the about of guests when at full capacity, and the pricing is pretty high then too.
Well worth the money
my stay there was excellent. The hotel was well worth the money. The food here is excellent but your paying a little more for that excellence. It's a little ways away from everything but that maybe a good thing. The hotel is a little aged. It could use a little face lifting. But overall, well worth the money.
Nice hotel
I stayed 3 nights during November 2014, the weather wasn't good so i stayed a lot of time in the room.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT
NO COMPLAINS AT ALL. MY SON AND I ENJOYED OUR STAY AND THE STAFFS ARE FABULOUS.
romantic getaway
it is wonderful and relaxing love the jacuzzi , big enough for two people to enjoy .
Amazing
Very close to beach n not so far from other attractions. Rooms are spacious & clean. Whole experience was awesome.
Comfortable Thai style hotl on point and beach.
Friendly, obliging staff. Great location. Rooms comfortable. Compact . Great outlook.
On the beach
Well placed for the beach and away from the noise of Chaweng. Was quiet for this time of year which meant we were treated like royalty
Hotel right on the beach and nice and quiet
Beautiful and quiet hotel on the southern end of Chaweng. Infinity pool overlooking ocean and the restaurant is outdoors and with amazing food. Loved every minute of our stay there and have recommended the hotel to others already.
Decent hotel but with some problems
The location of this hotel is very good quiet yet close enough to the chaweng area and very central for exploring samui.... the staff was excellent very sweet and helpful however the reason I am giving it a lower rating is mainly due to the pool and water quality. I stayed at other big hotels and resorts in Samui before and everywhere they had a water purifying system however at the Sarann the water was extremely hard and salty...it ruined my hair and my skin very badly...i have never experienced such salty water anywhere in a hotel before. The pool was also very badly maintained and again water quality in the pool was horrible so we never used it. I was staying with a friend and both of us had huge issues with the poor water quality....i think the hotel should invest in a water purifying system that level of salty hard water can be dangerous...my friend even got an ear infection which we believe was due to the water at this hotel. Other than this the hotel was nice,..and as i said the staff were very nice and friendly...always willing to help.
Nice and quiet.
My wife and I was on Koh Samui for one night and chose this hotel as it was far enough away from the crowds of Chaweng Beach and very reasonably priced for the comfort and service we received. The service was very good although the charge to take us to the airport was 600 Baht which I thought was a bit much as we were taken to the hotel from the airport for 300 Baht. Breakfast was good with a good variety ranging from continental to dumplings. The restaurant offered a Very good seafood for two but if that does not tickle your fancy there are a few nices restaurants within a few minutes walk on the beach. All in a very good stay.
Simply AMAZING
The service here is amazing. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean, the outdoor jetted tub is simply luxury, the infinity pool is a beautiful shade of blue. The included breakfast is has quite a variety, the tour desk helped us with EVERYTHING, from hiring scooters to booking muay thai tickets. Location is good if you hire a bike. Not walking distance to much but perfect for romantic getaway. Would definitely recommend.
upgrade our room , we were happy, later it means that are no longer have breakfast we have to paid bth1500 for 2xpax so why do you upgrade us...i did not ask for an upgrade.........
2 Night Stay
Rooms were spacious with a nice outside sitting area. Nice spacious shower/bath area. Hotel is in a quiet area at the end of the beach, short cab ride from the main shopping/eating area
Nice Hotel but far from the Chaweng Beach Area
Hotel is nice, but one can find better located hotels on Chaweng Beach. Expect a 200 baht Taxi ride everyday. There is nothing besides a few restaurants on the beach.
Could be wonderful...
The facility is nice and the location is beautiful, but there were a few issues. Most notably, our room (212) had a strange smell. We asked the front desk to help the first two nights. Their "solution" was to burn fragrance, which really did not help. A few other "nice-to-haves" could have really made this resort standout (e.g. DVD library for the DVD players in the room, more convenient shuttle times into town, etc.)
Nice but not that nice
The Sarann is located outside of town so you have to take a taxi whenever you want to go anywhere, which you certainly will want to do, esp. for meals as the cost of eating at the hotel restaurant is outrageous! They wanted 550 baht/person for breakfast...which is nearly 20 USD per person, an outrageous price for the US let alone in Thailand. There was a lack of hot water in the morning which I personally hate and the toilets where not operational on the day we left. It is very hard for me to understand how they could have recieved such high scores in the past!
Half of Pear
I know that there were previous comments about 'The Saraan' about how fantastic this resort was and even getting an almost 5 stars rating... quite frankly, I find this rating to be quite misleading. Maybe, if my wife and I were able to make our decision to upgrade to the highest tier in terms of having the room right by the sea side, I might have a different view and yet again, when I approached the Concierge about the costs and the lady came back and advised that she will check with the Manager to see if a discount can be granted as the resort was quite empty, she never came back to me. Anyway, I can't really bad mount too much with the deal that I got from Hotels.com but I will leave one commment for you traveler to make your own decision. 1) Have you ever encounter a resort will give you only half a pear mix with other fruits like banana, apple and berries on the welcome fruit plate? I know this can be looked at as a matter of half full or half empty but half a pear...
Exactly what i wanted
Absolutley needed a bit of luxury and that was what i got. nice clean and friendly staff. Really nice swimming pool and taxi service that really made things easy getting to the airport the next day.
80 % Great
Service and staff were fantastic, however i noticed that the sheets were only changed twice in the 8 nights we stayed there, we did not place the card on the bed to not have the sheets changed. we noticed they were not changed because the sheets had stains already on them. Other than that everything was fantastic, the breakfast was amazing and i otherwise thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
On a rocky beach and far from chaweng beach
The Sarran has very spacious rooms for the money, however, that is for a reason. They are far away from the tourist activities you can find near Chawang Beach. Also, the beach front area in front of the hotel is rocky and if you wish you go swimming you'll have to walk a bit. They do have a good restaurant if you want to spend your money recklessly and for no reason. We stayed there for two days just because the room we got was so nice. But I wouldn't recommend staying there if you are in it for anything other than a nice room.
Best decision!
My husband and I booked the Sarann Hotel for our honeymoon and could not be happier with our decision. The location is right between two major beaches which allows everything to be very accessible. The hotel staff is really amazing. Their service is impeccable and always have a smile on their face. They are extremely helpful and will go out of their way to help get you what you want and need. We were able to book excursions and rent cars and motorbikes right from the hotel which is a very convienient feature. The rooms are very spacious and gorgeous! The hotel itself kept very clean. It was a very good decision for us to book the Sarann Hotel for our honeymoon!
The View Point, Silarom SPA
Good place! The staff there is helpful and friendly! Worth a visit!
Facilities: Big spacious rooms; Value: Affordable; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Beautiful; The rooms were awesome - huge and great bathrooms
Appearance is good but hot water & a/c problem
Staff are nice, hotel appearance is good. I didn't expect there was hot water problem from the shower (very unstable, sometimes too hot, most of the time is cold - so we changed to another room after I insist to change). Round bath tub is useless as the water from the tape is snail slow and small, both round tub and jacuzzi have black dirt coming out too. Need a long time to lower the temperature from 28C to 23C. Flies flying around the breakfast area. Door handle or tape broken, no one to fix. A little bit overprice with such unexpected problems - they should take seriously in hotel maintenance
SUCKED!!
All I can say is the hotel sucked really bad, there's no beach so you have to walk to use another beach and the pool is tiny UGHhhh.... Just don't go there, by the way the customer service was GREAT! Except the hotel.
Staff was friendly and the facilities were great. It was just a little far from town although they provide shuttle busses to and fro. I was lucky to have rent a car so that we may travel around. Overall, we had a good stay in the Sarann
Facilities: Run-down; Value: Rip-off; Service: Below average; Cleanliness: Tidy;
Sarrann wrap
No convenient beach. Terrible food. Inept staff, inspite of its pretty setting, the sarann was a huge disappontment.
Nice hotel
We stayed in a jaccuzi villa, room was good and staffs were helpful, a very good memory in samui.
Best of All
Just a wonderful Beautiful clean place to stay and relax.
family getaway
Everything was allright, the beach was no good for children, administration didn't do any entertaiment for guests, the loby didn't have even tv. To walk to town wasnt good idea, because street didn't have a pedestrian food path. At the restoran food wasn't great, but pricey, and airport transfer suppouse to be free, the receptionist charged me double price, for in and out. Not so great, a?
friendly
A fine hotel needs to lift its game in breakfast/after 3 days the same food is booring, also its a long way from the action areas, but the views/rooms make up for that. mostly a stylelish hotel.

The hotel is lovely, rooms and view superb. The plumbing needed attention both the shower, hot water and toilet. The hotel is a bit isolated, and the meals and drinks are very expensive despite the discount on meals. There is a shuttle service to town at 1pm and 5:30pm which then requires you to take a taxi at 200Bt one way if you decide to eat out. We hired a motorbike for a couple of days and the money saved on meals more than paid for the bike, hired in town! Also the hotel is on the main road and the deluxe rooms back onto it, it can be very noisy at times. The hotel is on the headland at the end of the beach and you need to walk further down the beach to go swimming because of the rocks. Overall, we were happy with the hotel, the breakfasts were great, the staff very nice and the pool and view were brilliant.
We stayed at The Sarann for 4
We stayed at The Sarann for 4 nights during our Honeymoon and had a fantastic time. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the spa experience was an absolute treat (definitely worth paying the extra money from the cheap places along the beach). The rooms were extremely clean and the Jacuzzi Villa was quite large with big open bathroom and the outdoor jacuzzi (sheltered) was very private with its own doors. The location was at the south end of Chaweng Noi beach was alot quieter than the main Chaweng Beach, which was exactly what we were after. In early December there was never more than a dozen people on the beach and the restaurants along the beach had cheap but really good foods. The busier Chaweng was easily accessible by the tuk tuk which costs 50 Baht per person. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who was after a place to chill and relax but also have the option of being close to the busy and lively Chaweng Beach.
Loved our stay at the Sarann. Rooms have the old school charm. The property is located near the Lamai Beach area. Our only complaint was regarding the breakfast. It could have been slightly better.
