Got no Soul

Something off about this hotel. From the way you enter reception- cold feel of the swimming pool area- the way you enter the bathroom to access spa and sauna- separate male only and female only spa/sauna. Over rated and over priced in my view.

For a Ritz Carlton, I was expecting a lot more & also the fact that it was much more expensive than other five star hotels nearby. The breakfast option was dismal. It got very boring after the second day and we were there for four days. Unlike other hotels and resorts of this grade, it was just selected options on the menu, same thing everyday. It was not a buffet selection of breakfast that we were used to at five star hotels and resorts. Lottie at check in also wasn’t that helpful, and missed any check in notes we made when we booked. We were pre-celebrating my partner’s 50th and our baby’s early birthday, so little details like that went unnoticed. Other staff members were fine, one even gave our baby a toy, she also works at check in counter. The pool and bathroom areas could have been cleaned more regularly. We asked for our bed sheets to be changed, they weren’t. The complimentary water bottles were pretty cheap and in paper box… Overall, great location but not the five star feeling we were expecting to get and is used to.

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay in a stunning Executive Suite which gave us plenty of space as a couple travelling with our 7month old baby. The Lobby Bar on level 80 is a must! Highly recommend the High Tea (make sure you book) and the Gorgonzola walnut dip. The entire Ritz Carlton Melbourne team always went above and beyond for us and made our first family holiday so special. We’ll be back!

Different hospitality for Asian

I only have positive feeling from Asian Staff as the westerner staff totally ignore me. I left early monring with my luggage and the staff at the main entrance was not borther to ask if i need help or not. I expect a warm hospitality from all staff members for the brand and the price I paid.

Here’s the revised version with your additional detail included: --- **Disappointing Stay – Not the Ritz-Carlton Standard We Expected** We recently stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, excited for a special family celebration, as it was our daughter’s birthday. Before the trip, the hotel was responsive and thoughtful in their communication, offering a complimentary cake and organizing balloons for the occasion. We appreciated the gesture and couldn’t wait to see her delight. Upon arrival, however, things started to feel a little off. We patiently waited in line at check-in, but another family who arrived after us was served before us. These things happen, but in hotels of this caliber, you usually expect the staff to manage such situations more smoothly to avoid unnecessary awkwardness. Our room was listed as a “panoramic view” with two double beds, suitable for us and our two kids. While the view was pleasant, it came from a single window – not quite what we’d envision for a “panoramic” description. We also found the double beds quite small. My partner and I found them too tight for two adults to sleep comfortably, so I wouldn’t recommend this option for couples expecting more space. The birthday balloons arranged in the room were a lovely touch, but we were disappointed by the complimentary cake, which turned out to be a small, hollow chocolate bar with a dusty, crumbly texture. Everything would be perfect if they didn’t accidentally charge my credit card while I had prepaid with Expedia. Furthermore, they didn’t check the minibar usage properly and added extra items which I didn’t consume at all. Although the team resolved the issue promptly, they really need to review their billing process.

Fabulous room, stunning views over Melbourne (if you get the side I did you'll see the morning hot air balloons rising), great food and wonderful staff who can't do enough. One of the best hotels i've ever stayed in.

A 6 Star Experience

This was the most incredible hotel I have ever visited! From the iconic lobby on the 80th floor to the club on the 70th and the spa on the 64th floor. Service was fantastic and truly deserves a 6 star rating.

Where to start.. I visited Ritz Carlton Melbourne to surprise my girlfriend as a token of my appreciation for her. The Ritz Carlton did not disappoint, the service from the staff - room service; 10/10 communication skills, speed of delivery. Very relaxing and very luxury. Very Wow’d.. definitely take your special person here to experience this environment. Definitely coming back as a regular ! I’m still dreaming

The height of the hotel lobby and rooms is fantastic. Great views, even from the north facing rooms although you do look over an apartment block. The panoramic view rooms over the bay would be spectacular. Room was big and quite nice. Bed was good. Lobby is lovely as is the lobby bar. Didn't use the pool or gym so can't comment on this. Breakfast was a disappointment - food quality was good but I do prefer a buffet breakfast over a limited el la carte menu.

Stunning luxury hotel

We recently spent 3 nights at the Ritz Carlton in Melbourne for my husband’s birthday. The hotel is modern and luxurious, rooms spacious and very clean. The lobby located on the 80th floor has incredible views over the city, as did our room on the 66th floor. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were well equipped with ammenities. Pool was stunning, however a little cold for a leisurely swim. We arrived just after 12pm, however our room wasn’t available for another 2.5 hours. I was a little disappointed that nothing special was organised for my husband’s birthday (mentioned in booking notes and upon check-in) considering we have stayed at far cheaper hotels who have provided a complimentary bottle of champagne or plate of chocolates for a special occasion such as this. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, service was excellent and rooms were stunning. We hope to return one day in the future.

We celebrated Christmas there. We were given an upgrade to an Executive Suite which was amazing. The view day/night incredible, food and beverages went on all day. Staff incredibly polite and helpful. Will definitely stay there again even without an upgrade.

Missing hair-dryer from room (took calls/requests to resolve. TV did not work properly then not at all. Garment service arrived later (too late) than advised. Disappointing given the room type/rate however Club Manager and Club staff were great. General room quality and view was also great.
