Island bliss

Blissful stay, staff were cheerful and extremely keen to make one's stay enjoyable. Idyllic location. Our rainforest villa was very private, cleverly architected and comfortably laid out inside. The private splash pool was larger than I expected. The only improvement i can think of would be to have an adjustable parasol by the sun loungers (they were just too hot to use for quite a lot of the day). Thanks for a lovely stay.

Beautiful room and breakfast was great. The problem I have is our room was just opposite the restaurant and in the morning and late afternoon, staffs were shouting to each other. Check in was slow . But lobby staff were friendly and helpful.

Very friendly staff, making my family vacation a very wonderful experience. For improvement, suggest to upgrade their kids club to have more activities.

Great marketing. Terrible reality

Left this hotel after less than 14 hours. Booked through hotels.com and the room provided was significantly different than advertised. Total miss selling. The adverts offer stunning views, wilderness. We were placed in a basement, the only view was of a 6 foot man made fence, 12 foot in front of the windows. We could not see over, under or through the fence. What hotels.com also don’t tell you is you can’t open the windows and advised against sitting outside due to the monkeys in the forest. Throughout the room there are many warnings about the monkeys also highlighting if they get into the room you are liable for all damage! In essence. The room was dark, a basement, glass box where you could look outside other than at a fence and couldn’t open your doors to the outside. This is a high turn over hotel, the staff go through the motions, from checkin in the evening through to the following morning after requesting to leave - btw the other room we had been offered, wasn’t ready until mid afternoon and came with even more warnings about monkeys entering the room , don’t leave doors open and don’t go on the balconies when monkeys are about. Again your trapped in a giant greenhouse. The whole experience is very superficial - lack of any teal customer focus. High turn over of customers, with elaborate marketing materials. Hotel was very quick to point out all errors are hotels.com / Expedia. For miss information on what the hotel offered, lack of detail on the booking

This is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite. Throughout the trip we were greeted by friendly staff who remembered our names. The restaurants are fantastic, great food and views. I’d recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone who asked me - best experience we’ve ever had!!

We had a wonderful short stay. Getting around the resort was easy with buggy services and we had all that’s needed within the resort itself without having to step out at all.

Friendly hotel staff everywhere at the property, they gave me happy wonderful stay. The room is clean with nice view and good amenities. I love their robe, very comfortable. Restaurants and bars are also great. Tasty BF and other dishes I enjoyed a lot. Spa treatment was also amazing.

Best hotel in Langkawi

I recently had a splendid 4-day, 3-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi, and it exceeded all my expectations. The warm hospitality and genuine smiles from the staff made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The resort's location is breathtaking, with lush greenery and turquoise waters creating a serene backdrop. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a luxurious Rainforest suite, where attention to detail and comfort were evident. The room provided a pampering and relaxing experience, and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. The staff at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi were exceptional, always attentive and courteous. Special mention goes to Chef Black from the beach grill restaurant and Chef Jay from Hai Yan restaurant. Their culinary skills delighted my taste buds, and Chef Black's creative surprises were a treat. Highlight of my stay was enjoying a beautiful sunset at the Horizon restaurant, accompanied by the stunning 'Hornbill' cocktail. The sunset view was mesmerizing, offering a perfect setting to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty surrounding the resort. The infinity pool at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was truly amazing, with crystal-clear waters and panoramic views. It provided a slice of paradise for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Ritz-Carlton Spa, located in such a gorgeous setting, offered tranquility and indulgence, leaving me feeling revitalized. Overall, my stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was remarkable. Highly recommended!!

The real Ritz experience.

Couple - Rainforest Room The challenge about staying at a Ritz-Carlton is that the service is the best in the world, so where ever you go afterwards, you will forever be remarking to your partner "remember how we stayed at The Ritz Langkawi, how good was that". Service: Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, caring and ensured our stay was perfect. From the moment you get to the property, security are welcoming, check in is a great experience and getting to your room is a breeze. Food & Beverage: Amazing service, with staff better trained than many Michelin Star restaurants I have been to. The food is great, the best of what I had on the island - an amzing breakfast buffet with cocktails, local and standard breakfast. The beach grill was great, Horizons was fantastic and Hai Yan was amazing. Everything about the stay was so good, I wish I could have stayed a few more days. We had to move to another hotel for a wedding, and everyday we are saying how good was the Ritz, enough that the bride and groom are heading over to experience true world class service.

Excellent!

An amazing place. To further improve, I would add watermelon to the fruits available. Also the shade umbrella above the beach sofa around the poll @ horizon didn't work well. Otherwise this is an incredible location with great staff, great service. I highly recommend for a break.

Amazing stay

My husband and I stayed at the Ritz Langkawi for 3 days and could not have been happier with the service, food, and accommodations. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the rainforest villa, which was a very pleasant surprise. The service in the lobby, restaurants, and grounds was top notch. The food at all of the restaurants was delicious. We were sad to leave after the 3 days and hope to be back.

Rat-infested venue, son fell ill, rubbish Management, poor Customer Service, avoid at all cost! Thought Ritz-Carlton Langkawi would be ideal place for a holiday, ended up far from ideal. We couldn’t sleep for 2 nights, kept hearing rustling and movement at night, realised it was rats/vermin when we found some fruit bitten into by the rats, and scratch marks on upholstery nearby. Staff wouldn’t believe it until I showed them pics. Son got ill, prob due to rat urine-infected food/fruit, ruined our holiday. Management were absolutely shocking, refused to believe it despite moving us out and getting Pest Control in. Spoke to numerous Management but they didn’t even offer any compensation at all, even after ruining our holiday and getting our son ill! Normal staff were very sympathetic but when the Senior Management is not customer-focussed, then it’s difficult for the remainder of the staff. Very surprising indeed. Will never stay there again, you’re far better off staying at Four Seasons or The Danna(they have better beaches also!). Don’t waste your money at the Ritz-Carlton Langkawi—a real shocker of a place, and worst Management Customer Service ever!’

Absolutely incredible hotel offering ta rainforest experience in a 5 star environment. Staff incredibly polite and attentive making you feel personally known and welcome. 4 restaurant options each offering a great menu. 10 mins from airport and 15 from sky cab by car. Can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Everything was great, but the TV system is not on par. It freezes and sometimes get stuck completely. It’s not up to date with the common apps like Netflix etc. generally found very little in-room entertainment

Excellent stay at Ritz Calrton

Despite an initial hiccup at check-in, the Duty Manager, Tenkgu Imran did a great service to rectify the situation and was much appreciated. The overall service was excellent with friendly and attentive staff everywhere which made the experience more enjoyable throughout the stay of 6 nights. We ate at the hotel at the three F&B outlets and it was also a great experience with the sea view. See separate reviews for these for Beach Grill, Horizon and Hai Yan restaurants. Room size and design finishes better than most Dubai resort hotels (speaking as an architect). The elevated view of the sea and surrounding forest is what I have missed about the Malaysian environment. Beware that most hotel booking agencies shows sea view photos for rooms with rainforest views. This is misleading as rooms with sea view are extra cost. Also beware of the lovable monkeys. Don’t ever eat snacks on the balcony as you will attract their uninvited attention and they invade in a hoard. One got into our room. There is a warning, and any damages caused by your negligence is at your peril. The hotel covers a large area with its own “forest park” which we walked around easily. Weather throughout our stay was interrupted by intermittent rain and generally overcast. But makes the temperature more pleasant. The rain was welcomed when resident in Dubai. Overall, a great and enjoyable experience for our anniversary. Fully recommended. Will return some day.

Honeymoon bliss

Amazing stay with super friendly staff. The room was huge with an amazing view. We loved the food from all of the restaurants, and their are an abundance lf option for breakfast. Everywhere in the resort is clean and imacculate. Special shout out to Nicky who welcomed us on arrival and took care of us throughout our stay.

First of all, when i want to book 3days 2nights via telephone to the hotel because there was some issues with expedia at that time,the hotel reception name izati told me that i have to be charged with the total of RM10,500 (RM3500per day) because i want to stay for 3days and doesnt count as for 2night.. and i was confused and dazed i have never been charge for counted as how many days.. we all knows hotel count as per night! So i decide to contact expedia and they sorted out for me instead..thats the 1st.. So we stayed at the hotel the rest is okay but the staff needs to be trained more to be polite, because upon our check out we wanted to take picture at the deck or so called the insta worthy place if u came to the Ritz, so when the buggy driver send us there he told the girl staff names LING LEE that we wanted to take pictures at that area, and I remembered she rolled her eyes as if we were bugging her time or simply annoyed by our arrival with the kids.. and please note that i am very well-awared that the pool doesn't allowed kids for swimming.. but the hotel did not stated the kids is not allowed to be in that particular area.. so this staff ling lee running towards me and said please dont bring the kids near the pool because kods is not allowed there, and i said its fine we just wanna take picture at the deck which is far away from the adult pool.. and she was aggressively told my sister in law n my husband the same thing pls the kids cant go around here and chase us

Mixed bag

Mixed bag. Beach was underwhelming. Very coarse sand. Steep incline. Not really the langkawi beaches I remember. Sea was very rough. Room was spectacular. We got “upgraded” to the ocean villa vs the beach villa however the pool was a third of the size and room was smaller. We did prefer the view so just decided to stick with it. We did have the option to choose to be fair but it wasn’t really an upgrade. Food was great, very expensive, but great. No fault there. Buggy service was pretty poor we ended up walking most of the time as the wait was too long and they just arrive and say buggy then who ever is standing closest will just take it even though others may have waited longer. It’s just awkward. Breakfast is fantastic. The main gripe was the WhatsApp concierge just didn’t really hit the mark in terms of what we expect at the ritz Carlton. Lovely person just felt wasn’t to our taste. If I had to describe it I would have to say a bit too informal. The whole experience just felt a bit over priced considering the experience felt a little short. Room was great but on arrival it just felt like it had been not used for a while. Tv remote didn’t work. AC didn’t work. Outdoor furniture was covered as if in long term storage and other outdoor furniture was stained. Room had dodgy partition door that seemed either damaged or just not smooth. Exposed wiring. Lobby had bird poop on the glass roof. Floor looked dirty & Un-mopped surfaces looked grubby. Just a bit short of expectation

5-star service!

Great hotel which gives you actual 5 star (or above) service! Only downside is that it's a bit far from any shops/malls, etc... But the hotel and staff were top notch!

Improvements

1) Should ensure the air conditioning is working well with cold air before they release the room to customer. After that they should send somebody to clean up after the technicians have fixed the problem. 2) Bed sheet with stain is unacceptable.

Everything was well thought out, from the amenities at the hotel , to all the little touches, like the little treats left in the room each evening. Customer service and the attitude of staff was impeccable. A special mention to Afa who looked after us really well at breakfast.

Langkawi Experience

Service was exceptional and all the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to us and our little boy. The food was of good quality and the rooms were a great size with good amenities. My only feedback would be that the condition of items/cleanliness could probably do with an upgrade now with our room having a few items that were broken and needed fixing. However we had a truly wonderful time and the services food and facilities were excellent. We would stay again.

Great service, room and view

Extremely looking forward to stay here again, it was my 3rd time and i never ever disappointed with the services here, one of the main reason i enjoy staying here is because of the staffs. They are extremely professional, helpful and friendly. Imagine you woke up in the morning with all the hungover or exhaustion from NY eve party and went for early breakfast and the staff welcomed you with so much energy and great smile, its really make your day. Ritz Carlton is one of breath taking sea view , private and quite beach. The morning breakfast was quite good and i can rate 8/10. So far the rest of the facilities just like other 5 stars hotel, but it can win for their best sea view and private beach, great room ID and excellent services from staff. The price can be extremely pricey during high season but i bet you its worth the money. I will recommend to those who are looking for the view, excellent services and beautiful room ID. Quite relax and enjoyable during my stay.

My husband and I stayed here for 3D2N in November 2021, we came in with high expectations and happy to say that the RC team went above and beyond every single one of these. We were extremely well taken care of and the staff there seemed to anticipate every one of our needs. Shout out to Charles, Grey, Hafiz/Hafizal and others whose names we didn't catch for making our stay super memorable. The room was absolutely stunning, and we appreciated all the small touches like thoughtful decor and unobstrusive make up and turn down services. Naturally, everything was clearly marked as sanitised and we felt that hygiene and safety were really taken seriously. The Horizon bar was a real highlight of our stay and apart from being a great place for evening and sunset drinks, the food was surprisingly good. One last thing is that maybe because the resort is so huge, it never felt crowded even though we were told the place was almost fully booked. We truly appreciated the sense of peace and tranquility the resort's design provided. All in all, an exceptional hotel and we're already planning our next (longer) stay. Absolutely amazing. Heaven on Earth. From the moment we got there, to when we left. Nothing was left wanting. Came on honeymoon , and it was the little details and top class service that amazed us. I want to go back again at the earliest opportunity.

It was our 4th wedding anniversary trip therefore I requested for anniversary decorations. The resort really took our requests by upgrading our room as well as prepared a handmade cake and it was super delicious! Amazing place to stay because we love nature, service was top notch, my daughter loves free coloring book and Ritz Kid and the breakfast so much variety. Highly recommended, worth it and will definitely come again!

The hotel is nice but needed some major upkeep as the sink on both side was leaking and also it’s time to redo the water proofing as the water is seeping in through the wall as it rains making the whole toilet fall wet. But my biggest disappointment was when I left my teddy bear in the room after check out the hotel did not contact me at all. Setting over service

Service is not as polished as other Ritz Carlton properties. A relatively new property with modern amenities amidst the rainforest setting nonetheless.

The hotel was simply amazing. A beautiful location complemented by exceptional service and fantastic rooms, restaurants and facilities.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, We travel a lot and stay in 5* hotels around the world and this has been one of the very best. It is in a stunning location with it's own private beach and fantastic facilities such as the huge infinity pool, tennis court and hi-tec gym. We stayed in an ocean view villa and a beach view villa over 4 nights and each of the villas had their own private pools. The rooms were enormous, super luxurious and had huge bathrooms living areas and outdoor spaces. Great Asprey bathroom products, a perfectly stocked mini bar - which we used a lot - and Nespresso coffee machines which are very important to us!! The staff were amazing, very friendly, helpful, polite and always smiling. We loved the buffet breakfast with lots of choice and a al carte options and we loved having champagne to start the day! We ate at all the 4 restaurants on at the hotel and had amazing food and service except for 1 night at Hai Yan where the service was very slow and we left the restaurant before eating but apart from that the food an service was great. That said the restaurant manager sent us a hand written note the next day apologising for the slow service which we appreciated. We has spa treatments which were fabulous and in an amazing building over the sea and used the gym and tennis court on several occasions. We absolutely loved this hotel and would highly recommend it and we hope to make a return visit very soon. Excellent all round.

We stayed at the beach villa with a pool and it is really amazing! The bedroom has three panoramic walls so gives the impression you are in the jungle. The only minus was extremely uncomfortable bed. The mattress is the worst quality open spring, which is way too soft and has zero support and my back started hurting on the second day and after 6 days was killing me

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The pool areas were lovely and the breakfasts were amazing.

Staff are annoying to solo travellers

Everything at this property was top notch. The only thing I think can be improved on is the breakfast - there was a lot of beef is beef sausage, beef potato salad, etc. and for non-beef eaters (due to religious reasons) like me, there were fewer options. So maybe the only thing they could improve on is to make sure they could be a little more culturally sensitive in terms of food service delivery.

I have read a few revues with negative feedback here... it can happen with anybody and in any hotel although everything was so fine in our case. We got nice accommodation, clean, nice garden view, delicious food, ... Honestly, 1st day of our stay we thought that we will be boring... but last day (we staid 10 nights) the impression was totally changed, we would stay longer. :) So, everything was nice. But, for me, the most important was hotel Staff... From the first moment of our visit they did everything we to feel us like at home. They memorize our names, habits, what we like to eat, drink, would we walk or need car, would we go to beach or pool for swimming and so many things that we really felt like a special guest. I would say a lot of such things also from name of my family members. We got so nice friends there, I would like to use opportunity and send many thanks to them, Ms. Sharifah, Ms. Linda, Ms. Melanie, Mr. Moon (sorry if I misspelled your name, and sorry that I cannot list all of You) And a biggest thank to our friend Mr. Shamsudin, Thank You so much for everything, we really value what You did for us and we are deeply touched. Will take your breath away

A truly lovely property with large and luxurious entry-level rooms and even larger villas, warm and personalized service, and an infinity adult pool that will take your breath away. The breakfast was amazing: so much food you won't know where to start (or finish). The only drawback was the condition of the rooms, which are showing their age already (i.e., nicks, scratches, and broken hardware). But the prime location of the resort--near the airport and secluded in a lushly landscaped jungle surrounded by the ocean--and the effusive yet professional staff more than make up for these minor flaws.

It was enjoyable. Had a nice time with my family. The staffs in the hotel kept us happy. Kudos to the staffs in all the restaurants. Obrigado. .

The private pool and private access to the beach was a plus to anyone who wishes abit of privacy. Good selection spread for breakfast too!

Amazing grounds, pool is fabulous. The hotel was very quiet so bars and restaurants were empty. Food was delicious. Staff very attentive, sometimes too attentive - Depends what you like I suppose? Reception staff a little bit disappointing. They offered to set up my Marriott membership (I didn’t ask!) however, when I asked few days later if they did it, I was told I could do it on line by myself. Probably best you didn’t offer something you can’t/have no intentions of doing. Also, booked a club car/baggy the night before our check out to get picked up with suitcases and they forgot. Had to call and chase again in the morning. Bit stressful!

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton Langkawi was an incredible experience. The Infinity pool and sunset was superb. The villa was clean and very comfortable. What stood out the most was the level of service and attentiveness of the staff which just made our stay that much more enjoyable. I will most certainly come back to the Ritz Carlton Langkawi on future trips.

This is a top notch hotel with service to match. Our room was large and sumptuous, double bath, soft and large bed with a view through the trees to the sea and watching the monkeys play (keep your door closed..). Built into a steep hill they encourage you to use the golf cart buggies. Lovely, quiet beach and tow pools. There are basic watersports - kayak, SUP, but no sailing craft which is a real shame as its ideal for small dinghies. Not cheap to eat as you would expect, but the food was excellent quality and the inclusive breakfast is outstanding. Hire a car, it cheap and the driving is easy with plenty to see.

Absolutely Fantastic Resort. Genuinely one of the nicest places I've ever stayed, and I travel a lot ! Location - fantastic. Staff - fantastic. Food, Rooms and Facilities - fantastic. If you want to go and just lose yourself for a few days - couldn't recommend it any higher. Enjoy....

Honeymoon again

Awesome resort. I stay at one bedroom vila with pool with amazing view of ocean. Bed comfort was great, room was great, one minor was ac I put in low but still fan speed high, overall is very good. Breakfast was excellent and horizon restaurant was amazing for sunset and food is delicious.

Everything you expected was good for us. Relaxing and de-stressing I spent with my family helped me to be energetic

Beautiful, spacious rooms. Even the base deluxe rainforest rooms are lovely with plenty of space. For more light and a better view, ask for a room on a high floor in one of the blocks higher up the slope. Excellent amenities in the room. Swimming pools are pleasant, though not huge. The Horizon adult only pool is better as it has more shade and the pool staff service is also better. Great service in almost all areas, particularly the bell desk/buggy service. Breakfast was excellent, let down by poor service when wanting to order hot beverages. Food in the other restaurants was unfortunately not that great. Poor choice for vegetarians; very high prices (cocktails averaged £14 - £18). We ate in the beach grill where the dishes were bland and not cooked well (my prawns were raw). Best bet is to take a taxi and eat out - some excellent restaurants not too far away. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel; just a shame about the food (except breakfast, which was good).

A Sub-standard Ritz-Carlton

This is a new and beatutiful hotel, in terms of hardware, in Langkawi.  The hotel is a nice property with a small beach. Although there was water leakage problem in the bathroom, overall the property is well maintained.  We stayed in a Grand Ocean View pool villa; the villa is very spacious and the view is also stunning. However, they did not provide good services, or for some services I should use "bad" to describe.  No one took care of us to ensure our stay is comfortable or could address us by our names during our stay of six days and the Management team never showed up.  Comparatively, almost every single staff remembered our names during our 5 hours visit to the Four Seasons Hotel for drink and dinner. The most disappointed service was that we paid extra for a privite tour to the Kilim Geoforest Park with kayaking but the services received was totally different from what the hotel personnel agreed, i.e. not a private tour. The hotel just arranged the activity through an travel agent. Other substandard services included not properly followed up our request for more cotton buds and hair conditioners, sometimes they did not clean the second bathroom and toilet outside the room, no follow-up on our enquiry on the available dinner set (until we went to the restaurant and they told us that only one/two set menu provided in the eve of Chinese new year), etc.  We are really so much disappointed with the hotel.

Fantastic resort. Quality in every aspect. Staff are more than helpful and can't do enough for you. The rooms are very nice with top notch finishes. The only downside is the resort is a 25 minute drive to the main town in the area. This may be a plus or minus depending on your view. Food was a bit expensive but quality all the way.

Great Stay

I was there to celebrate my fiancee's birthday and to spend the Christmas holidays. The room that we had booked was a deluxe rainforest type. It was spacious and comes with a balcony overlooking the rainforest and also part of sea where we get to see sunrise. I had booked a spa package in the hotel a week before my arrival. The staff knowing that it's my fiancee's birthday, had decorated the spa suite with birthday decoration greetings. At the end of the spa, we were treated with desserts and that was a nice surprise. The resort blends in beautifully with the rainforest and the architecture features of the hotel built around the rainforest as an effort to preserve the nature. Breakfast was something that I have enjoyed too. The selection of food for breakfast was wide. There are several restaurants in the resort and you can get perfect sunset view across the horizon. I would recommend all to be there early to get some cocktails, be immersed with the stunning sunset view before having dinner. Perhaps the only disappointment was that in the email to me as celebration for my fiancee's birthday, the room will be decorated with words on the bed and rose pedals with bubbles in the bath tub, but they weren't there. It might be an oversight from the team. But generally the overall experience and friendliness from the staff made up for it. I would definitely love to be back. It is definitely a place where one can find tranquillity, and enjoy the finest.

Heavenly Resort Experience

Our stay at the Ritz-Carlton was superb. Our welcome and check in was warm and swift as was our tour of the property. The staff were eager to please at every opportunity and were some of the most attentive, friendly and professional staff we have ever experienced. We were upgraded from a rainforest villa to an ocean view villa which was such a lovely surprise. The Villa itself was our own oasis with the pool, the views, the luxury and the privacy being second to none. Having the buggies on hand to get around the resort was perfect. Breakfast was honestly the best buffet breakfast we’ve had anywhere. The standard and variety of the buffet and the a la carte menu was incredible. My absolute favourite was the Pandan French Toast. The options for meals was plenty and we didn’t leave the resort for a single meal. Our ‘Dining Beyond’ experience was beautiful and the only thing I could fault during our stay was the chairs used for this meal on the beach kept sinking into the sand making it a little uncomfortable but I am sure that if requested earlier they would find alternatives. The poolside service was excellent. We really loved the casual yet classy Beach Grille for a lazy afternoon drink. We loved our stay at The Ritz-Carlton and would not hesitate to return.

Great hotel

New, well maintenance and great staffs! Additionally, quite nearby the airport. Only thing that I was disappointed was that we have experienced our request was not completely taken care e.g. omitted one food menu which we ordered at the restaurant. Anyway, it is really worth staying!!

Four days in absolute paradise

From the moment we arrived at The Ritz in Langkawi it was obvious we were in one of the most special places on earth. The staff, referred to as the Ladies and Gentlemen are incredibly attentive and go out of their way to make each and every day at the resort memorable. A special mention to Yan, an incredible team member who helped to create the most beautiful and romantic anniversary/honeymoon dinner and put a lot of effort into creating a personalised evening for me and my husband. She is a truly amazing individual. The four restaurants are all unique and each one of them provides a beautiful setting to eat at. We spent most of our days at the pool by Horizon Restaurant and loved seeing all the monkeys including a silver leaf monkey around the hotel grounds. The breakfast was a huge array of different foods and probably the best we've ever had. My husband loved his daal curry and pastries every morning! It was the best 4 days of our honeymoon and we are already looking forward to planning our next trip back!

The BEST hotel in Langkawi!

I give 2/5 for local area because there's nothing around. Then again, when you stay at such a nice hotel, you don't really want to go anywhere else, do you? The hotel is very new and the view of my Grand Ocean Pool Villa is STUNNING. The pool is big enough for me to do laps. I also experienced the Beachfront Pool Villa for one night but the villa feels small (it's supposed to be bigger than the Grand Ocean Pool Villa) because of the partitions. If I return to Ritz Carlton Langkawi, I think I will stay at the Grand Ocean Pool Villa again because of the view. I was slightly disappointed by breakfast. I was expecting the standard I got at Ritz Carlton Ubud. The Malaysian dishes and the French toasts are very good but the rest needs improvement. I ended up drinking lots of masala tea (so good!). Please be careful if you order anything that comes with honey as it attracts an army of ants in no time. Anyway, those things are rather minor. The reason why I stick to Ritz Carlton is that even though it's inevitable to have misses and hiccups, the devoting staff in Langkawi will make sure that your stay is perfect.

It was in one word fantastic, so nice set-up

We loved it so much that we hardly left the premises/resort everything was beautifull and well build with the top quality materials and designs. We for sure will come back, but will save first as it was not cheap but well worth. Thanks and goodbye.

Amazing resort. Courteous and friendly staff which made the whole experience very memorable for the family. We will definitely stay there again.

Relaxing and Comfort Hotel

A new 5 star hotel in Langkawi, overall is good but bathtub and shower area water leaking. Hotel staff take immediate action solved the problems.
