Friendly staff

We loved the service provided by the staff. They were very attentive, polite, helpful. Breakfast in particular was a delight. The staff (especially Malee and Sophia) made our visit extra special.

Amazing hotel

The service that we received during our stay was great. The employees were very attentive. We especially enjoyed our late afternoon coffee in the Club Lounge with Fruzsina. She was very kind, sweet and amazingly helpful. She will be the core memory we look back on when we think about our stay at this hotel.

One of the best hotels in the city, it is located in the city center and the hotel is luxurious

My Go-To Hotel in Budapest

Absolutely love staying here. I've tried several places in Budapest, but this is really where I enjoy staying the most. The location is excellent. The rooms are comfortable. Beds are heavenly. Everything is very clean.

The hotel facility is very high end but beyond that I liked the efficiency of it all (room, breakfast buffet, ...). Everything is very well thought. The Staff was excellent, friendly, competent and very helpful in any situation. Loved it!

I absolutely adore this hotel! From start to finish, my stay was a fantastic experience, and I can confidently say that their breakfast was the best I had during my entire trip. The restaurant staff were truly top-notch—so warm and attentive. On my last day, the breakfast restaurant manager(give her a raise!) noticed how much I loved the traditional Hungarian bread, Pogácsa, and went out of her way to gift me the recipe and even pack a bag for me to take along. That thoughtful gesture completely made my day! Every morning, I couldn’t wait to start my day with their amazing breakfast. And let me tell you about their cappuccino—unlike the usual, uninspired machine-made ones, this was beautifully prepared, rich, and absolutely delicious. I loved it so much I had two cups every morning! The hotel’s location was also great. While it was a bit far from the main train station, I was still able to visit all the major attractions on foot in just one day, which made it super convenient. Their dinner restaurant was pretty good too. Now, for a couple of minor things they could improve: The bathroom layout was a bit odd, even for a solo traveler like me. The shower stall was very small (and I’m quite petite!), and there wasn’t enough space for my skincare and makeup products. Also, whenever I washed my face, water splashed everywhere. Additionally, my room faced the street, and it was a bit too loud for me to fall asleep. Still, highly recommend.

Housekeeping was ok, can be superb if more attention to cleanness would be kept

Professional staff and property. The only negative is waiting 20 minutes for the room to be cleaned at 4 pm check-in time.

This is not up to the standards of a Ritz Carlton hotel at all. From the moment we walked in our room was not ready. It took over 1.5 hours to get our luggage brought to the room. After waiting long for our luggage I asked for another luggage rack for the room and it never came. There were no pleasantries from the staff. We came from Ritz Carlton Berlin which was the polar opposite. We were offered drinks and Christmas treats. There was nothing in Budapest. The breakfast was mediocre at best. No one smiled. While I had a very nice massage from Vera in the spa the spa was tiny and offered very little. Children were also allowed in and it was noisy. Not what you want to hear while you are trying to relax One of the biggest issues for me was the noise. We were backing on to the fashion street it was where the garbage is picked up. Loud at 6am every morning. We paid for a 5 star hotel and this was a 3.5 at best. We were really disappointed.

Staff at reception is below average to terrible, except for the manager Zsuzanna H - she’s excellent and very helpful. I think they are pretty understaffed. Way below expectations for a Ritz!!!

Total discrimination!

Location is great, however, you would be severely discriminated if you booked through a third party. I decided to book a long stay through Hotels.com, as the promo code was not working, i booked 3 nights instead of 4. Upon arrival, i requested they honor the long stay. To my surprise, this turned into a 3 day back and forth. Expedia called and emailed to try to resolve the issue, they refused to answer them. Furthermore, at check-in a lady next to me was kindly asked to register as a bonvoy member in order to be provided free breakfast. Upon hearing that, i requested to provide my number as well. I was shocked when i was told that they weren't going to give me free breakfast and i could only qualify for 20% off. So all guests are not treaded the same. Some are politely encouraged to get free items, others are denied services or promotions cause they're a third class guest. They also refused to give me any rebate for my 4th night and requested i pay the full price! I went to Kempiski hotel, was extremely surprised they recognized and honored my Expedia membership. They went as far as upgrading me to a new room. There's therefore no reason why the Ritz decided to discriminate me, if Kempiski can upgrade me. I doubt it has anything to do with booking through a 3rd party like they claimed. It was definitely racial and i will never be going back.

I had a wonderful two day stay in the hotel. The location is perfect and service was impeccable. The hotel is true to its brand. They reached out to me ahead of time to arrange transportation, and again upon departure, which was very appreciated as it was my first visit to Budapest and I was unfamiliar with transportation options. I highly recommend and would love to visit again.

There were problems with our prearranged tour. We had to wait to find another tour guide. I felt we were an after thought about it. The tour guide seems like he had just rolled out of bed. Concierge made us reservations at a local restaurant. They tried to seat us in the worst table in the restaurant in the middle of the crowd waiting by the front door. I refused to sit there. I would think if you were sent as a guest of the hotel you should have been given a better table and not be put in this situation.

Amazing hotel and staff. Great pool and spa area as well. Loved the club and being on the club floor. Staff and food was fantastic.

A fabulous Ritz-Carlton property centrally located on the vibrant Pest side of the city. Surrounded by shops, rooftop bars and restaurants. Close to the shuttle bus to the Buda Castle district, as well as the metro and cruise ship docks.

Amazing service from the staff very attentive. The Spa treatments were amazing and spacious rooms.

Service was pretty poor.. closer to 3 star Hotel Staff was more interested to chat with each other then looking after the guests. The only Ritz that has 3-4 guys standing in front of the entrance and you still have to open the door yourself The other time there was no door man at all. Restaurant service as slow as it can get… everyone runs around and does something but you still wont get your coffee for 15-20 min.. Food.. you better order a day in advance We stayed last 12 months in 4 different Ritz properties and this one had the poorest service by far… Staff needs way more training.

One of the best Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Europe

The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The customer service, the staff, the rooms, the lounge, bar and restaurant were all amazing. They truly care about their guests and want to make sure everyone has a great experience. The concierge service/staff in this hotel is fantastic! Great location too.

Very nice hotel, right in the city centre. We had a fantastic stay and very much enjoyed the club lounge experience here, better than most.

When we got to the hotel, I was very sick. A staff member was kind enough to put hot tea with honey in my room. I thought this kind gesture made the hotel a wonderful experience for me.

Great location, Metro just a few metres away and easily walkable to the main Christmas markets. Hotel staff were all fantastic. We stayed in a Club Suite with lounge access which offered some tasty snacks and even a wine tasting one evening. We had a very early flight and when we told the concierge of this he offered to organise a breakfast pack with coffee ready for us to pick up on check-out at 3-15am, a welcome treat which was most appreciated.

We had the most amazing stay at The Ritz Carlton. The staff were very professional, helpful and welcoming - some of the nicest we have met and the hotel itself is beautiful! The rooms were pure luxury; great quality furnishings, clean and spacious. Our suite was overlooking the park, at the front of the hotel, which was great for people watching from the chez lounge. The breakfast offering was amazing too. There was a small array of foods on offer in the buffet and then you could select the hot items from a menu, no limits on how many items you could order. The quality and presentation of the food was outstanding, nothing like the buffets you usually get where the food has been sitting there for a while. Finally, the location is great! We were able to walk to all of the main tourist attractions and felt very safe even late at night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Budapest!

This property is not up to R-C standard. Breakfast servers were slow and forgot our orders. Concierge desk worked hard but misinformed us the price of personal tour price. Will not go back there again.

Outstanding Hotel!

Amazing stay at the Ritz in Budapest! We were there for the Christmas markets. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us when we woke up late and needed breakfast and coffee. They were super helpful with holding our luggage before and after checkout. The room was the most amazing room I’ve ever stayed in! It overlooked Fashion Street. We enjoyed the afternoon tea and pastries as well. It is centrally located to everything we wanted to see! I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It was outstanding!

Unbelievable property and unbelievable staff! Rooms are spacious and beautiful and the staff is extremely accommodating. Perfect location!

Right in the heart of the city, close to many major historical and cultural sights. The staff were expecting us and there was a decadent sweet welcome gift awaiting. Very friendly and helpful staff. The concierge booked our train tickets to Vienna and housekeeping provided me with a low pillow on their own observation when they noticed I had used a folded towel for one.

We had no complaints at all about our stay in Budapest at the Ritz-Carlton. The staff was fantastic, very helpful. The hotel, and all amenities, were very clean, and the location was perfect. Every morning we could walk out and either catch a cab, use the metro, or simply walk to countless sites that the hotel is central to. The staff working the breakfast deserve a special mention because of how helpful they were. They joked with our 6 and 7 year old boys, were prompt, attentive, and even went the extra mile (at least, it felt that way to us) to offer to prepare a "to go" package on our check out date, since we were leaving before breakfast started that morning. In addition to the staff, the food itself was delicious. Finally, the purpose of our trip was a get away to celebrate my wife and I's anniversary, and the hotel had placed a beautiful strawberry mousse dessert in our room, a bottle of champagne, and a hand written note wishing us a happy anniversary. The Ritz-Carlton might not be the cheapest option around, but considering all that you get, it's definitely the most valuable. Highly recommend it.

Everything was as it should be in high class hotel. But what stands apart is not facilities - it’s the personnel. Realy high level of training, hospitality and professionalism. Keep up the good work! I would definitely warmly recommend this hotel!

Our family stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Budapest in August 2019 during our summer vacation. The staff was so attentive to us and took special care to make sure our sons felt welcomed and at home. The staff at the restaurant went out of their way to find things our kids enjoyed and the concierge connected us with a wonderful guide who showed us the highlights of this beautiful and charming city. No doubt we will return!

Attention to detail. Superb breakfast , helpful staff. Taxi provided by hotel from airport good but excessively priced at 175 euro one way.

The location was excellent as well as the staff and room size. I felt the mattress was a little soft, the cot was uncomfortable and the breakfast in the lounge was only average.

The hotel is well situated near to sights, the river and Christmas Markets. Professional helpful staff and a stunning room . We will be back.

We booked this hotel for a spontaneous first trip to Budapest. The location was truly amazing! We were within walking distance of the Danube, the Jewish quarter with the ruin bars and really excellent restaurants. The Christmas markets and Fashion Street were directly next to the hotel as well and it was so nice to see the place in holiday mode. We got a lovely room on a high floor with a view of the Basilicca. Budapest is a very lively place and so there was some noise from a bar across the street that kept me up at night. One other small thing that disturbed my rest was that I could feel the metro below even while in my 7th floor room. I had occasion to use the gym which was small but adequate for my purposes. We didn't eat at the hotel at all since we were out and about. The concierge was responsive to my emails requesting dinner reservations even while we were out exploring. What a fabulous city. I cannot wait to go back!

Very noisy hotel

This hotel is above the main subway station so you hear and feel the rumble of trains every few minutes other than between 12am to 5am. It is also quite old but the service is good

Top hotel and very well located in Budapest

The property is new and styling. It is located the center of the Budapest. It is easy to access most of the tourist spot by feet. Also, the welliness center is well equipped. you can do all the fitness inside the gym room and relax in the pool side.

The staff were incredibly helpful and professional, from the moment we arrived. Absolutely loved the mattress in the room, I’ve never slept on anything as soft or comfortable! All of the furnishings were beautiful and well styled. It’s also in an excellent location being so central. Probably THE nicest hotel I have stayed in.

The hotel had a good feel about it. Room was very comfortable. Staff were always helpful. Breakfast perhaps was not up to par with other comparable hotels.no prunes, and presence of flies every day. We had breakfast on 4 occasions. Location was great, being close to many shops, restaurants, and landmarks. Enjoyed eating in Deak Street restaurant.
