Lovely location, staff were friendly, room was clean and tidy. Our children had an awesome time. Pool was perfect and so close to the beach. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend

Perfect accomodation. We felt really spoilt! Clean premises and room was great. Bed was really comfy! Would definitely stay again next time we’re at the Mount.

Manager was excellent and very accommodating. The units dryer was OOO which was inconvenient but the manager was able to provide an option. The stovetop wasn’t intuitive. I had to look online for operating instructions. It was a simple child lock feature but would be helpful to have some easy instructions for future.

Great place. The apartment was amazing, everything you needed and lots of space. Great having under ground carpark also and secure. We will definitely be back.

Very tired. Large unit, but dated and not very clean. Looks better in the photos than in reality.

Good condition

The property is directly across from the beach. We stayed in a 3-bedroom that opened directly out toward the ocean. It was very convenient to the area - we hiked Mt Tauranga and went on a dolphin cruise-both within 10 minute driving time.

Would definitely stay here again. The property was clean and tidy and the beach was straight across the road with the option of a swimming pool as well.

Beautiful beach front property. Short walk to local cafe (corner Tay Street & Marine Parade) for breakfast or lunch, which was divine. Pool onsite was warm and locals/residents were very friendly. Will definitely stay again. Reception staff super friendly and helpful.

Great base in Tauranga

The Reef was our base for 2 weeks whilst we met up with family. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable with everything you need to self cater. Appreciated the mid stay apartment service clean sheets and towels always welcome. The onsite parking was a bonus. Excellent location and already missing morning coffee on “our” bench on the seafront. Would highly recommend The Reef to anyone and will use again on our next visit from UK.

Perfect Break Away

Fabulous location right in the heart of the Mount. Just a stones throw from the beach where our boys surfed. We were in a Partial Sea View Room which was amazing - the apartments spacious and a bonus having 2 bathrooms. Clean and tidy. Pools were great - nice having a heated pool and the spa was perfect for soaking in at the end of the day.

Fabulous for a family trip!

Our stay totally exceeded our expectations. The apartment was much larger than I expected (living area) and the patio doors opened out to steps toward the pool. The property is also right across the road from a beach access point. A lovely family/dog-friendly cafe just down the road. We will definitely return!

Well equipped and spacious rooms and twin car parking made it more like a home than rented accommodation. Attentive service meant an unforeseen late check in was simple.

A lovely "home from home" quality apartment with all the facilities you would need to have a comfortable stay. Just across the road to the beach, the apartments are perfectly placed for all local amenities.

Great pool but maintenance needed for mold in unit

Great pool!! Mold throughout condo as there is a lack of deep cleaning and maintenance in master bathroom- dripping shower head and dripping sink show evidence mold has had time to accumulate.

Had a great stay. Only downfall was there was no air conditioning in the living area nor the small bedroom which made the bedroom very warm at night. Otherwise was perfect! Comfy and close to everything 😊

Heated pool and hot tub was the highlight for us. Location was not walking distance from shops and cafes - there’s nothing within a km of here. But the flip side is it’s a quiet location.

A terrific apartment block with excellent amenities, very nice leisure pool and across the road from the beach. 3km from Mt Maunganui and 2km from the shops restaurants and bars. So a quieter area than town centre. That was a plus for us. The only con in the Reef is that the second bedroom has no window. There is a high level opaque glass block window which gives some light from the corridor. But heh, you sleep in the bedroom so it’s not a great sacrifice for all the very positive things about the Reef. Go there. You will not be disappointed. And it’s a bit less expensive that comparable apartment close to the centre.

Amazing apartment. Modern, spotlessly clean. Great leisure swimming pool. Across the road from the beach. What more do you want? 3km from Mt Maunganui a 15 walk to the town and restaurants or a 3 minute drive. This is a plus. It’s a bit quieter than being in town and a bit less expensive. Cons? Only one really. The second bedroom is a bit small and has no window in it. There is a high level opaque window which takes some corridor light into the room. But heh, most of the time in your room you are asleep. So a minor problem.

Great place to stay!

Great place for families/ groups- good location away from the crowds but close enough to the Beach/ Mount/ etc. Nice and quiet and tidy and the view and space in the superior room was well worth paying a bit extra... The only reason the place didn’t get full marks is that I think for the price a more full service (daily change of sheets and towels/ etc) should be standard...
