Love the style, services and its really clean!

Simply outstanding. An oasis in the middle of the city with impeccable service. Friendly, relaxed with a wonderful aesthetic.

Perfect Hotel Shanghai

Great service right from the start to the finish, accommodation was clean. Home delivery food was very delicious they listened attentively to all the requests made. Complimentary fruit every evening, minibar and an upgrade! Will definitely come for longer when I next visit Shanghai. Will be recommending to friends and family. Also all designer stores at your footstep and fully equipped gym

The hotel’s customer service was outstanding, with friendly and helpful staff especially Eileen & Stephanie went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.

Discreet luxury in central Shanghai location

I had been to the Puli for drinks and meals on previous visits but this was my first stay. It’s an incredibly comfortable and low key luxury place - the bed, the discreet room service, the breakfast buffet, the central location, everything about this place is wonderful.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Puli Hotel and Spa. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Jing An. Reels Mall is a 2 minute walk, the Kerry Centre is a 5 minute walk. nearest metro is Jing A Temple which is on line 2, most convenient line which gets you pretty much everywhere. 20 minute walk to West Nanjing Road. Overall great hotel, perfect location with lots of shops and dinning options. Hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. Spa area was lovely. Few observations however, the jacuzzi had some particles floating in it. I left the minute I saw them and also the swimming pool was a little too cold.

The Puli Hotel is an amazing oasis in Shanghai, an outstanding hotel property, the staff are attentive, professional and personable. I can't wait to return!

Beautifully designed hotel in a great location. Staff is super kind and helpful. Only down side is the breakfast which is charged about $40/p and is not at the level for Asia. The other hotel on the same group in Beijing (The PuXuan) offers a more complete and refined buffet in comparison. Outside of that, we highly recommend this hotel!

Great Hotel to stay in Shanghai

Great location, friendly staffs, Comfort & Quiet room. Lots of dinning & shopping options around the hotel, highly recommended!

Hotel is located in a central location of the Jing An Area. There are a couple of shopping malls and department stores within walking distance. The hotel is nicely designed, staffs are welcoming but I think they could be more well-trained in general for such a high standard hotel. The room is nice and comfortable. One thing is the sliding door for bathroom and bath tub is partially transparent so it’s a bit inconvenient and embarrassing if you prefer more privacy for yourself. I did request the staff to apply big patch sticker on the sliding door to solve this problem and they did accordingly so I’m okay with stay all in all. Minibar is free.

This hotel is lovely, situated next to a park and across from the Jing'an Temple. The subway is on the same block as the hotel, which makes travel around Shanghai easy. I particularly liked that there were no carpets in the rooms.

High level of customer service, very friendly staff. They even paid attention to my birthday and delivered treats to my room.

Serenity in the city

Amazing oasis in the heart of the worlds largest city. So tranquil. The spa is amazing, rooms have plenty of space. Service is always great. 2nd visit and wont be the last

One of my old favorites, but it is loosing some special experiences… there are still some staffs smiling at you and greet. It had not made me feel distinctively Puli. Something has changed and became homogeneous. Inspired me to explore other hotels next time.

Best choose in location when you stay in Shanghai

Perfection, as always

As in many reviews before, always perfect! Wonderful comfortable room, beautiful design, great staff and service This is always one of the best in Shanghai

Spacious room and very comfortable bed. The bedsheets were incredibly soft! Didn’t like the wooden flooring. Too noisy and could upper level guests walking around.

Dirty + Bad Service

I dropped my hair clip on floor, my hand was full of dust after picking it up. 2) no communication between reservation n reception - I was being confirmed by the reservation officer that I was supposed to hv a complimentary breakfast but the receptionist told me that I don’t hv any complimentary breakfast. - I found the email n show the receptionist, they said they need time to check. By the time that they replied, I already missed the first day’s free breakfast. - I sent email to reservation officer to c if I can hv the breakfast on the next day which is my last day of stay. By the time I received their replied email was at 10:40am, so I missed the breakfast again!!! - coz of their lack of communication, I couldn’t get my breakfast!!!! - very disappointed

A stylish hotel in a great location

A beautiful hotel in the most active part of Jingan. If you are into shopping, this is the area to be in. The hotel is beautifully designed with wonderful outdoor amenity space and very stylish interior. The service however was a bit indifferent and worse than expected. Stay st the St Regis more regularly and that hotel although not as stylish as the Puli has much better staff and service.

The hotel is clean, comfort and elegant. Hotel staff is also very helpful, I like this hotel very much.

This is a very stylish and relaxing oasis set in a beautiful park beside the temple. The staff really takes care of every little touch and the room was spacious and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is well located in the city centre with several shopping malls around. room facilities is new and clean. The only thing that disappointed us was when we went for breakfast at around 9:30am (end at 10:30am), Deep-Fried Dough Stick was already out of order......which was not a 5 star hotel standard. Other than this, everything is perfect. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

The Puli is a quiet and refined oasis in the middle of the busy city and well located for shopping and access to the city.

Sanctuary in the middle of a bustling city

The Puli Hotel and Spa is a great place to treat yourself if you've been asked to do a last-minute business trip like I was. The spa service is the highlight. They had a variety of treatment options available and were great about recommending the right treatment for your needs. The spa rooms were clean and well-maintained. The overall design of the hotel is pleasing to the eye and not overwhelming. Will definitely come back for another self-care weekend.

Fantastic location and service, greatrooms

Great as always: beautiful rooms with beautiful view, complimentary minibar, attentive service - the in-room dining (I had some gyoza) was actually very delicious, a breathtaking pool - and the location right at the centre is of course fantastic. They seem to have downgraded the amenities a bit: they used to have great and special Bayan Kala, a great local brand I encountered like this, now there is some generic stuff from Bottega or so... Only drawback: if you're a light sleeper, the many lights in the room that cannot be completely switched off or covered are annoying; in that respect, the rooms cannot compete with the Peninsula or so, and why I tended to stay there more for my business trips.

Location and ambience were good but room maintenance need to be improved. My room had water leaking in the bathroom and things falling off the ceiling....

Overrated

Hardware is very nice, good spa facilities, nice pool, comfortable room, etc. But service is not up to 5 stars standard.

What an amazing place!! The staff is really helpful, and even offered an upgrade to a suite without even asking, the location is super prime!! Very lovely!!

6 star hotel

Amazing hotel at the Ching Ann district. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel, at the very busy location. Love this hotel. My favorite in Shanghai.

An oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of shanghai. great service, great ambiance, steps away from the metro. Great way to wake up in the morning and be ready for the day ahead.

Service was unprofessional and not up to par. What was promised to us wasn't given and was charged extra even though the room type wasn't delivered to us. We had been placed in 3 different rooms. We paid for the executive lounge floors even though our rooms weren't located there. What a shame this was a VIP+ hotel for Expedia; I had high hope.

It was a beautiful hotel. The staff was fantastic and they took very good care of us. Thanks to Expedia they upgraded our room at check in. All and all was a great experience.

Relaxing oasis in the middle of the city

This hotel is a must stay in Shanghai. I stay at all the top chains and this hotel is special. The spa services are top notch. I had one of the best massages of my life in a beautiful setting. All the amenities are first class. The rooms are well designed and so relaxing. Great shower, comfortable bed, and nice sitting area by huge windows are awesome. Also a great soaking tub if you want as well. I would stay here everytime. Great area of town that is in the heart of shopping and subway access without the chaos of the bund. Easy access to the bund or pudong by subway or taxi. We loved it!

Great but starting to feel a little worn

I had a very comfortable stay at the Puli. This hotel is always my first choice of stay when I'm in Shanghai. The service was great and the room was clean. However, I've noticed they have changed their amenities to their own, which I feel takes away from the luxuriousness of the experience. Also, the rooms are starting to get a little old... some of the finishings look a little worn, the robes need to be replaced, and my toilet didn't flush very well (although I think they noticed half way into my stay and got this fixed).

Nice hotel, convenient location

Beautiful hotel located in Shanghai city center. Check in was smooth although I wish they would have offered a free breakfast box because I had to check out early next morning before breakfast service. Room is very well designed and beautiful. Check out was fast and seamless.

Nice hotel in convenient Jing An location.

Very convenient location next to MRT station. Walking distance to many malls in Jing An as well as the French Concession District. Jing An Temple only a 5 minute walk away. Large, comfortable rooms.

Top class hotel, excellent oriental minimal design

I first stayed in this Hotel in 2011 and I have never stayed in any other when visiting Shanghai for business. Highly recommended to any one who wants to combine best services with outstanding design and decoration features. The pool, the long bar and the library are top class! The staff is very kind, attentive and professional. We faced a problem with our WiFi connection that couldn't be solved during the night. Next morning the problem was solved and the management upgraded us to an executive suite with a bottle of champagne to welcome us! What a treat! A slight problem is the difficulty to find a taxi, obviously not the fault of the Hotel! We shall definitely go back!

Puli of exceptional standard, Oasis in the city

All rooms are of generous size, excellent gym and pool. The Club level rooms offer more services but normal level rooms are equally good enough if business service is not required. Bathroom in white stones / tiles which developed slight dark edges around the corner (I'm too picky), otherwise perfect. Staff are very professional, helpful and friend.

I love this Hotel. It is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are amazing and the bed is super comfy. So after being away from home on a business trip for 17 days, it was important the last leg of my trip was as comfortable as possible. The Puli delivered!!! Amazing property.

The Puli Hotel and Spar is an urban oasis. I've been enjoying this hotel many times a year for many years and it never disappoints in the best quality of place and service! For my needs it's the best Hotel in Shanghai!

Great central and quiet escape in Shanghai

Comfortable and well run. Feels like a spa wherever you go in the hotel. Feels intimate and cozy. Fantastic concierge staff. Follow their suggestions.

Ok hotel not recommended.

Terrible staff rules. I had a local guest attend a day of dinners and events. The guest stayed at the hotel. Hotel would not let the individual use spa or gym facilities without registering even though I had previously registered. My room was registered and paid for two people. hotek staff wouldn't allow access to spa or gym even though passport was presented to hotel by the guest. Rules make no sense yet hotel is happy to take your money and overcharge for services. Typicall overpriced and expensive dinner and spa services. Food was just ok. Rooms were worn and a little tattered. This hotel has seen better days. Toilet seat broken in the room. Lighting controls were terrible. Levelir blinds were bent and out of alignment. Lights got stuck to on position had to reset in the middle of the night. Stains in sofa. Stone floor in shower was chipped and mirrors scratched. The hotel restaurant required reservations even though. It was empty. Had to wait 5-10 minutes for table at restaurant to be set up even though it was 70% empty. Would not recommend. there are much better hotels for the price I paid at this hotel. Mark, 12-12-16

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in

I cannot say enough about this hotel, It's right up there with the best of the best. The rooms are huge and modern with a beautiful view of the Gardens and Jing'an Temple. Everything in the room is complimentary from the mini bar, to the coffee's and tea's and the wonderful jars of lollies :-o The staff are wonderful and are there to help you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, they went out of there way to make sure I got to a show on time during peak hour traffic and were more than happy to help me know what subway stops or trains to use to get to places.

Fantastic service & very comfortable

We had a lovely one night stay at the Puli. The service at the hotel is really outstanding - from the polite doormen and front desk to the staff at the fitness center - we were really impressed by the level of service provided. We were upgraded to a Club room, and as it was our first time at the hotel, I am unable to offer direct comparisons between a standard room and a Club room. However, I do know the Club room was very comfortable, spacious and well laid-out. We also liked the "freebies" offered by the hotel, such as home-made chocolate and other pastries. It made our stay feel more special! Just a few suggested areas for improvement: - The comforter was very thick and we woke up all sweaty, so would suggest including a flat sheet for greater comfort - Loved the fitness center and how clean and well-equipped it was. However, the jacuzzi button at the fitness center (women's room) is really hard to activate. Is there a way to make it more user-friendly? Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to book again or recommend to friends / family!

Stylish and friendly

The epitome of good design but with no loss of comfort or service. The room had everything and was lovely to be in. The staff could not have been more obliging and friendly. The food is outstanding. As good as any hotel I've stayed in.

Just too short a stay. Great hotel experience. Well designed rooms for comfort and peace after a day of work. - joy to enter the lobby knowing my room awaits.

Good place to stay for a few days

Nice hotel. Feels a bit like the Bulgari in Milano but not quite there yet. Spacious rooms and very nice lobby.

Perfect stay in Shanghai

They make sure you feel as if you are in paradise. Every time you walk through the doors there's beautiful aroma of flowers, smiling faces of welcome, and a feel of peace and tranquility.
