Shower was a disaster it was sputtering and spitting water at times. Was put in an accessibility room hand rail covers were loose and completely detached.

Beautiful hotel with interesting amenities. The rooms have record players and Jack (in the lobby) helps you select the right tunes. Hotel restaurant was nice and the rooftop bar has excellent views. Will visit again.

Beautiful property. Excellent breakfast. My daughter was there for an audition at UT and the staff gave her a good luck card and goodie bag- it was so sweet!! Will definitely stay here again.

This was such a nice boutique hotel with cool vibes. The rooftop bar was amazing and bartenders even better. The view of the city of Austin on a clear day was gorgeous! Loved the option to play a vinyl in your room.

Great boutique hotel with friendly staff 😄

First impressions are everything. The first interaction with the desk clerk was him telling me that although I reserved a king bed room, there were none available. After I protested and he could see my displeasure, suddenly he was able to "do me a favor" and "upgrade" us to a king room, but I was to "be sure to give him a good review for the upgrade". It's not an upgrade. It's what I reserved. Also, I found the rooms to be small and didn't like the fact that you enter from the corridor directly into the bathroom of the guest room. Also, there was very little storage space for clothes. No in room refrigerator or even ice buckets in the room.

The staff and restaurant were amazing. The king room was small and not as upscale as I thought it would be with the premium price over similar hotels. It is a bit of the beat in path and the area is chain fast food surrounding the property

Best hotel in west campus. But - no mini bar and having to walk through the bathroom to get into the room itself is odd. But - attentive service and great option is need need to stay in or around campus.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean rooms and gym. Only issue was parking as the hotel room would often not work when driving back into the garage causing you to have take a ticket.However, front desk staff were always quick to remedy the issue.

Staff was amazing checking in. The record player in every room is a truly unique touch.

Room was too small, expensive parking, it’s a four star hotel.

Really enjoyed talking with their vinyl album specialist and listening to records in my room. Wished I found out before midnight that guests can request a refrigerator but the hotel staff had one delivered within 15 minutes and we had cold drinks!! Very helpful and understanding staff! For both hotels!!

Otis is always awesome. I had requested 2 wine glasses and a wine opener be put in the room through your message or email you sent me before I went and they knew nothing about it. But place is always great

Stay was fantastic including roof top bar and room service. Only need to level the sliding door between bathroom and bedroom so it will stay shut in order to get a perfect 10

I loved the idea of this hotel! The vinyl records were really cool. And the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were clean and comfortable. My biggest complaint was the pool. It was…gross. Hair and bugs floating in it and it was cloudy. I forced myself to get in and quickly got out. It did not seem to have been skimmed for….a while. The weekend was the worst. Early in the week appeared better but I chose not to get in anyway. Disappointing because the pool pics were the main reason I booked that hotel. The bathroom was disappointing. Water got everywhere. I had towels down everywhere that would get soppy after a shower. I later discovered they have special mats to keep that from happening but for whatever reason I had to ask for them. Also, there was no where to put your stuff. No shelves. Not even a towel rack. Poorly planned. I put in an order for vinyl. What a cool idea! But they weren’t waiting in the room as advertised. It took an extra day to get the records. Maybe the vinyl guy was on vacation. So… it was cute and fun. But I’ll try somewhere else next time.

If you need walking distance to U of Texas this hotel is great. Well maintained and very good on site restaurant. This is important as there isn’t many other non fast food options available. Room well appointed

First time staying at the The Otis hotel and it was amazing. Staff were amazing and room was exactly how it advertised. We will be back sooner than later!

Great vibe at the hotel. Love the record players in every room. The hotel is at the campus and close enough for us to walk or take a quick Lyft to most places.

I do recommend Otis hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Nice but small rooms.

Comfortable. Terrible view unfortunately. Rooms are small and oddly laid out. For the price would have hoped for better. Hotel is clean and great bar/restaurant. Expensive valet. Front desk was very amenable, easy check in. Bottles of water at check in and check out.

Amazing hotel. It was better than we expected. Super clean and eclectic and decorated nicely. Hotel staff was so friendly and nice. We especially enjoyed Chad at the bar. Very friendly and nice. Made wonderful drinks and gave us great tips for things to do and see. Asa at the front desk was alway smiling and friendly and helpful. We loved the records that you could bring to your room. We enjoyed the music. The upstairs pool bar was very pretty with great views. Highly recommend

Lack of amenities is an issue. Limited room service hours during the day. Essentially no in room provisions.

Property was in a great location for my needs. Only issue was construction around the hotel made getting/out dicey

The oddest layout of a hotel room that I have ever seen. The door opened onto the bathroom. Opposite of the door was a shower with a completely clear glass door. Also, no vending machines

This was my first stay at the Otis and I would stay again. The man at the front desk helped me so much, no job too big or too small for this guy. I’m a woman traveling alone and felt very safe. I appreciate a valet and help with my bags. Will stay here again.

Don’t book through Expedia go direct to hotel

Food was horrible for room service and the rate was 35% more than we could have booked direct with the hotel. I didn’t get my Marriot points as well which is weong

Hotel is beautiful and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Beds were a bit hard, so woke up with a sore back, but overall nice hotel! Definitely wish I took more advantage of their music concierge!

I loved staying at The Otis Hotel Austin, Autograph Collection. The staff at the hotel was so attentive and friendly and they made our stay extra special. The hotel facility was also clean, and it smelled so good inside. My friend and I actually ended up purchasing the scent they spritz at the hotel because it was that good! I also loved that there was a record player in each room, and we were able to check-out records to bring to our room to play. All in all, we had an amazing experience, and I am likely to book my stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Austin. The hotel rooftop bar, Otopia, was also very nice, and the bartenders were so kind. The views were also a plus.

Above and beyond

Word can’t describe the quality and level of excellence I experienced at the Otis. Feels like your in a different world.

Great lobby ambience, super dark and cozy with fantastic lighting and decor. Nice bar off the lobby. Everything well designed. Loved the ability to borrow records and play in our room all weekend!

Amazing property!

Amazing hotel!! We came to see the UFC fight at the Moody Center (a short walk away) and had a blast. The hotel did a great job of capturing the spirit of Austin, especially with the record player in the room and the great selection of records in the lobby. We will definitely stay at this hotel every time we visit Austin.

This is the second visit to this rather pretentious establishment, where the loud music at the reception area and entrance, which is diruptive in the evenings, is still unnecessary. While the cleaning staff are friendly and do a great job, the reception personnel lack a degree of sincerity and appear robotic. With such "modern" establishments, the condition will soon age, but it currently seems to please the most superficial of customers, where money and expense is not an issue. Regarding the cost - we found it over-priced, and based on this second visit, still over-rated.

The hotel property was amazing. The restaurant was excellent and served good food (expensive). The staff was okay. I didn’t think they were very friendly. I will definitely go back again.

Nice but, not my taste for the price

Nice upscale hotel. Cons: Weird setup. The door to the room opened into the bathroom, and then the bedroom passed that with a noisy sliding door for separation. The toilet was closed off in a small space in the bathroom with another noisy smoke glass sliding door that did little to keep extra smelly smells contained and an automatic light that lit up the whole room when you went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There was also no refrigerator. It did have a vinyl record player, but... I'd rather have a place to keep my drinks cold. The view was okay, but I've had better views for less in Chicago and other big cities. PROs: The bedroom and bed were comfortable, and the service was excellent. The fitness center, pool, and bars on the top and bottom floor were really nice. The poolside bar was open air with an amazing view.

We stayed here for ACL and we really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and the staff was really nice.

Just a great option around campous area. Hotel is clean nad has a great vibe/comfort level. Rooms make you feel like you are being spoiled. Really does give off an Austin feel. Great value.

Good location

Pros: Clean, modernized room, nice in-house restaurant, and welcoming front desk staff. Cons: Room was somewhat damp, no ice machine except in lobby, and self parking fee charged was higher than what was posted on website—had to request credit.
