Everything was as described
Great accommodate, ecomonical, unique and spacious - never stayed in a nurses home before. Huge kitchen and lots of quiet lounge spaces. Handy to Dawsons and Reefton Hotel for meals. Reefton is worth staying a night or two.
The convenience
Never slept in a nurses home before full of character and after 7 hours of biking by from Murchison it was a surprise to find a bath for a long soak
Stayed a number of times and will be back
Quirky and perfect
Quirky but excellent value, very clean and comfortable.
It was quirky because of the purpose it was built for but had all the facilities we expected, although it would have been nice to have single-sex bathrooms (lots of hot water though). Kitchen had everything we needed, room was comfortable and grounds were pretty. Very convenient for the town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially the groundsman who sorted out a mix-up with our key.
Wasn’t happy as ordered a room for two adults but only got a single bed
A great blend of history and convenience. Comfy rooms, nice lounge and kitchen. Handy location.Good value for money. Some additional kitchen items like a coffee plunger would have been handy.
As I have stated we have no complaints whatsoever and would recommend it to any one ,thank you
nice old stye property
Warm and clean. Thank yoi
The property was clean & good for what you pay. Sarah was fantastic & was friendly & helpful. Chontelle (Manager?) on the other hand, wasn't. She stated that I should be more resilient travelling on my own & I shouldn't be fazed by the lack of women not staying there. And that most of the men worked for a good company & were respectful. Then said I was lucky she replied. I didnt feel lucky. NEWSFLASH some of the most abhorrent rapists & murders have been charming & respectful! Im not saying they were but the point is being respectful doesnt deter someone coming into your room at night or stealing your stuff. Locked doors & windows do. This appalling comment was made because I asked for a secure room for myself & my property & the room wasn't. I only discovered this when I was about to go to bed around 9pm. An appalling thing for a woman to say to another woman. Sarah showed more concern for my wellbeing than Chontelle did. I left in the middle of the night because if the Manager says this, it indicates a lack of concern for her women patrons & that made me feel unsafe. I asked for my money back, but again, the customer service was lacking. Expedia said because the booking was completed, it was out of their hands. It wasnt completed by me, I left during the early hours. NEVER AGAIN.
Rooms were very cold, no heating. You can hear everyone on the same floor which may it hard to sleep. Property is very run down, definitely would not stay here again.
Excellent place to stay. Lots of character and very clean.
Character, historic
Good
Friendly staff, had everything we needed.
Very clean, good value for money. Very helpful, pleasant staff, grounds very well cared for and attractive, easy parking..
Was clean and comfortable.

Nice istoric building but bathrooms very tired, and noisy guests kept me awake

Character accommodation in Reefton
It’s the second time we have stayed here. Great location, walking distance to town & a magnificent Sequoia over the road. Lovely old building with lots of history & character. Great for groups as options for own room but shared lounge/kitchen/etc for communal activities.
Great Job
Come over for a golf tournament and was a great place to stay.
It is an historical building. Funky and fun. Love the well equipped kitchen, and the communal living area.
Interesting, historic place to stay
Great location, interesting building with lots of history. A great place for large groups looking for individual rooms, communal kitchen & lounge, etc
You show this picture and when we arrived the room was nothing like this it was one room with a Queen bed and no private bathroom. The picture you show is in a different building and costs €135 a night, so very mis-leading.
Peacefull, comfertable relaxing stay thankyou
Had great two night stay at the hotel with friends attending a oudors sporting venue. It was very peacefull and quiet had a great night sleep, and everything was spotlesly clean. Will defiately stay again and recomend onto friends and family
It's an ideal spot for a group gathering. The communal kitchen and lounge are great.
Glenn was incredibly accomodating with our late arrival. Room and facilities spotless. Warm and comfortable. Crispy sheets and comfy bed. Kitchen well set up. Really wanted to stay a bit longer to enjoy the amenities!
Basic accommodation but spotlessly clean, would be great for large groups traveling together.
The space cleanliness and the friendly, helpful staff. A wee gem : )
Good basic accommodatiion great kitchen and lounge
A really neat place.
A really neat place with a special and friendly ambience. Reefton is at your finger tips here. Go for it.
Love the shower 😍 and those were well tucked sheets... Hospital style 😂 very laid back place to stay thank you. Great little town with lots of character.. and a swing bridge 😍
Nice quiet guesthouse in Reefton.
A really nice place to stay, clean, quiet and comfortable; highly recommend this place if you're planning to visit Reefton, New Zealand.
Great Value for money Accomodation
Extremely good value for money accomodation! Clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly service, close to town centre

I loved the quiet, the charm & character of the 1940s building, the collection of antique medical objets & historic local photos. It was cosy and a comfortable warmth thanks to the central radiator heating throughout. I was definitely not too hot in my room. Very clean & all the facilities that I needed - access to a large freezer & a bath was a welcome added bonus also. Lovely grounds. Very friendly, helpful & welcoming service from the manager Shontal.
