Nice place
Property was decent.
Clean, easy going staff, relatively close to the bus or tram station (5-10 min walk), breakfast option, good choice for the price, even though it's a bit far from.dr downtown
Moldy joint!
Discussing! Bulbs were so low volt it was impossible to read by! Kitchen chairs in so called premium rooms. Had to get a 3 person room to get a couch to sit on. But most of all, breathing in mold for 4 nights! You can even smell it in the halls!
there are only one cereal option for breakfast, awful cooked breaffast, broken mugs, no interfone in the rooms to communicate with reception.
Great Location and Great Service
Excelente front desk staff service
Loved staying at these hotels
Beautiful hotel and scenery around. 10 minutes on the bus to the centre. Will definitely be staying again.
Great hotel, staff were excellent. Very scenic beside the docks waterfront. Close to Muiderpoort Train station. Away from the busy centre of Amsterdam. Highly recommend.
Everything was quite good except the shower. The handheld showers head was not working and even after 3 days it still wasn’t fixed.
The hotel was ok but located quite away from the central city Probably alright for an overnight stay
Lovely hotel 10 minutes out of the centre. Lovely area overlooking the canal. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go back!!
The property was very beautiful. Its clean and well maintained. The rooms are nice and quiet and the bed are comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. They always have snacks and beverages to purchase for a really good price. They also have a mini restaurant and bar at the back.
Looks nicer than the pictures and the area around the hotel was lovely and peaceful away from the city centre. Also found the bed to be very comfortable and the room clean
Amazing and helpful staff. Lovely rooms and easy to get into city centre
I had a pleasant stay at the Niu Fender hotel. The service was prompt and efficient, ensuring all my needs were met swiftly. The rooms were immaculate and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment. The restaurant offered delicious meals, making dining a delightful experience. Overall, a dependable choice for a comfortable stay.
Was a little way out of centre but Uber just £10. Quiet, double aspect, cool room was perfect, price on the high point but that’s Amsterdam - would recommend.
Staying at the Niu Fender was a unique experience, check in was slow however the room was pleasant. After this, it seemingly went down hill. 1st two staff barged into our room despite a “do not disturb” sign being displayed as they had us checking out on the wrong day… went to reception to resolve the issue and was given a free drink voucher. Thought this would be the last issue however no, another staff member barged into our room 2 days later.. again with a “do not disturb” sign up yelling “maintenance”.. we then tried to enter our room later in the day but the keys did not work as again they had our check out date wrong and disabled our key cards. All in all the room was ok but the staff need further training on their booking system.

Just 25 min in public transport to the center of the city. Very safe and quiet, nice area. Very friendly staff
The hotel crews were friendly and informative. They were very accommodating with requests.
Unbelievable Stay! Hotel is IMMACULATE and the reception and Staff are extremely helpful. Definitely staying here again 🇳🇱
Surprised additional taxes we need to pay
The people at the reception desk were very nice and helpful.
Very nice stay!
Very nice stay! The room was comfortable and clean. Great view of the boats in the canal. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely return again!
Very good value for money. The rooms were a good size, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. I think a kettle and tea/coffee options would have been a nice touch, and something I usually expect in a hotel.
Great hotel
This property is located in an isolated area, not connected to market. They don't have dinning or kitchen except for breakfast. If you order food from outside you have to go down to the reception to receive it everytime. No public transport available nearby. I would not recommend this hotel for tourists.
Quiet and residential, good for families. Easy to navigate around town from here. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
Modern, clean, safe, comfortable, polite staff. Excellent rooms and great lounge area (in loft near the bar). Highly recommended. About 15-20 minutes cycling to main station in downtown Amsterdam.
Beautiful views, great breakfast, spacious room, kind and helpful staff
I’ve stayed here multiple times now and always have a great experience. Very convenient and not too far from tram stops etc.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the service excellent. Very clean. Location was within cycling distance to the centre of town. What let the experience down was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. You have to go downstairs to reception and pay for a cup of coffee €4, or €3 for tea. We stayed for a week and craved a cup of ‘home made tea’. I think this place is fine if you’re not a big tea drinker.
Super helpful staff and very easy check-in!
Bravo...
The place excellent. Staff is friendly and informative which is key for the travelers that don't speak the language. It's on a quieter side of town which was welcomed after spending the day in the busy city. Public transport makes it easy to connect to town, however. We will be back...
Great stay!
the hotel was really nice! good transport route to town. the staff were very friendly & helpful with upgrading our room. the room & bathroom were very clean and modern designed
Staff at the hotel when I checked in was rude and not welcoming. Room service was poor apparently they don’t clean the floor even when they can see it was dirty they only changed towels and bins. Overall experience was terrible I won’t recommend
Great, hotel clean, quiet and brilliantly comfy rooms
It was a really nice hotel room, very spacious
El hotel es un poco alejado del centro pero el buss pasa cerca y muy buen servicio, el hotel súper limpio y el desayuno súper bien , las chica que nos recibió en el hotel muy amable me gustó el área lo recomendaría
Everything was great.
My room had an issue with the pillows, which I had replaced twice because they smelled very bad. Even the replacements had a bad odor. The hotel is €18 away by Uber from the downtown area
It was good
Even though hotel is a bit far from bus stops (around 10min walk) and from city center. Overall it was a good stay.
Safe, new, clean
Very nice hotel not loads very close by but still a good experience
A gem in Amsterdam East. Away from the crowds in Amsterdam.
Options in room lacking but service was impeccable
I had a nice room
Amazing!
.
yeah good place staff were nice
The staff are lovely, the hotel is clean and tidy, the rooms are spacious and well-equipped. It takes around 10-15mins of walking to get to the tram stops nearby so it’s convenient enough to get into centraal and other locations. We did have a small issue with our allocated room’s shower, but staff were incredibly kind and quick to get it sorted, so we switched to another room and stayed there for the entire break with no issues. We only looked at the menu at the bar downstairs but it seemed quite small both drink & food-wise, however there are plenty of other options nearby. If visiting Amsterdam, I would strongly urge using this hotel for your stay!
Great place!Thank you for your hospitality !
We felt at home 🙏
Hotel was very clean and the staff helpful and friendly. Room would have been better if there was tea/coffee facilities in the room.
It was ok but would not stay there again
We loved the area that this property was in and if you get a room with a view its the most beautiful view ever! Very close to local transport into central amsterdam and also close to shops for groceries etc. We will be back.
was helpful even though the reception area is very small and often crowded
Nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. Only downside I was there with a fiend and requested a twin room but we were given a double. Also hotel quite a bit out of the city centre but on plus side easily accessible by tram otherwise a 45 minute walk approx.
Check in and attitude of staff less than satisfactory. Was there at 14:30 and got told to wait another half and got cos my room was not ready yet. At 15:00 I went back. Cos the room wasn’t what I neue I asked for a change and was given a new room…but had to wait again she said at the reception. This time it took them one whole hour to prepare the room. I asked them twice if they could tell the cleaning personal to prioritize cleaning my room and I was told….. you are the one who wanted to change rooms…the cleaning people habe their order of doing the rooms and will do yours when it is its turn….. unbelievable!
Staff were very friendly and accommodating to us during our stay, The rooms were clean and spacious with sound proofing also. The boardwalk along the canal outside the hotel was nice to walk on also the view from our rooms was of the canal which was lovely to watch at night! To get to centraal is a ten minute walk to the tram which was very reasonable! We hope to stay again on our next stay to Amsterdam We thank you for your hospitality!!
Really great hotel. Friendly service and great views over Eastern docks. Walkable to city centre in about an hour or easy tram links much closer. Nice breakfast. Clean rooms.
Balance your expectations
A good hotel as long as you balance your expectations. Its away from Amsterdam Central but plenty of public transport available to reach there within 9-10 mins walking distance. The room doesn't have a coffee maker or iron but does have a fridge & safe. Service was challenging, the front desk was helpful but besides one night the TV didn't work and it would randomly turn on even if we switched it off. They claim a German company is doing upgrades that's causing this but that didn't change the fact that it didn't work. Location is by the canal, rooms are cozy and clean.
Far away from city centre , not allowed around it
It was good hotel
Overall the hotel was pretty good. It was very clean and the staff were quite nice. The building is beautiful and the common areas are very well maintained. The bathroom was very good and the interior design was also calm and modern. The view from the window is nice and peaceful, as it’s overlooking the ports. Some things to think about before booking from our experience: in the room itself, a lightbulb was broken and the remote didn’t really work properly. The water changes temperature randomly at times(it’s not too bad though), you can hear other people if they are in close enough rooms and there’s no kettle for coffee/tea in the room. It’s quite easy to get to the Centraal station as it’s about a 5/10 min walk and one bus that takes you straight there but there is nothing around the hotel itself. Overall I enjoyed the stay at this hotel but my partner was not very thrilled about it, so I suppose it depends on the expectations.
Our Stay in The Niu Fender
Pleasant stay in the Niu fender. Comfy beds, nice food in bar. Lightbulb in our lamp wasn't working on arrival but this was replaced the same day. The room we stayed in was a little dark, would have preferred more lighting. Was disappointed there were no hot drink making facilities in the room, no water and no mini toiletries. The hotel itself is about a 10 min walk to the nearest bus stop which takes you into the centre of Amsterdam in a bout 10 mins. Very clean room and bathroom. Overall it was okay.
We had a lovely time during our stay. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet and the beds were comfortable. It was a very easy journey to get into the city centre every day and super convenient. The only downsides were that we couldn't get either the smart TV or the in room Bluetooth speakers to work which was a shame. Everything else was fab.
Liked the modern feel and decoration. Loved the comfy bed. Was a little unclear where to go when first arriving, but much easier to see the right place in the dark when signs were lit up. Tea/coffee facilities in the room would be a great addition.
Love the bike rental services
We had a lovely three night stay at the hotel (Thursday through to Sunday). The staff were all incredibly helpful and pleasant, from the front of house to the bar. Our room was a really good size, with floor to ceiling windows, and great views of the dock. The hotel didn't appear to be that busy when we stayed, so there was no problem finding a seat in the bar area. But I would imagine if it was busier the space might be a little on the small side for the potential number of guests. We didn't try any of the food, so can't vouch for that. But there are well-stocked fridges (including wine and beer) for out of hours purchases. It's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop, and 30 the nearest train station (Muiderpoort), so factor that in to your plans. Javastraat and Javaplein are about a 25 minute walk away, and have lots of bars and restaurants. (Bar Basquiat would be my pick for breakfast and lunch, with Restaurant Wilde Zwijnen if you wanted to treat yourself to a great evening meal). We would definitely return here.
Great hotel
Great hotel. Bed was great and the pillows were very comfortable. Location was convenient with the tram line a 10 minute walk away.
Very good place to stay for the cost.
The property was very nice and centrally located. However they did not clean our room one occasion although we did expect it to be cleaned.
The hotel was amazing and very comfortable at a quiet area in the east side of Amsterdam. Would definitely recommend for people looking to stay a little bit out of the city.
Liked : Property of very nice, modern and clean. Disliked : Issue checking in, the Biggest one being - asking for $$$ when I had prepaid for my 3 nights stay, to which I showed them my paid receipt from Expedia. Funny enough, one of the Front desk personnel remembers processing the payment but don’t know why I’m being ask to pay. Truthfully, the front desk personnel in the morning (3 ladies) weren’t so friendly. As a master of fact, the only friendly staff we encountered was the male manager and the gentleman who checked us out at 5am. Secondly , in other hotels in the Netherlands and Belgium, we were offered a prepared breakfast when we left early since we prepaid for our breakfast. But not at this place. Not even coffee when they have the machine next to the front desk. Lastly, was the location I didn’t account that it too out of the way.
the staff was very friendly and the hotel is was very clean and updated. The view from the room was amazing! Public transposition was limited but workable. One sate removed from cleanliness/facilities as the drain in the shower emitted a septic smell. A towel and the fan cleared out the smell so it was fine but noting it for the future
Great overall, lovely staff
Hotel is nice and modern with an industrial design. Comfortable. It’s far away from any walkable grocery stores or casual dining spots. Staff is impersonal and didn’t care if you were there or not. Pricey and not a good value overall. Not recommended.
Overall, decent. The pros: Good location. Views were awesome. Free drinks if you forego room cleaning. The cons: Difficult to find. The signage on the building is way up high. Rooms are smaller than the pictures show. Bed was fine but not the best. Not enough hangers. Cramped for more than 1 person.
Short but sweet
Rooms were of ample size, beds comfortable and rooms quiet!
Decent hotel
Very nice hotel not too far from the city centre. We got a two day tram ticket and the nearest tram stop is a ten minute walk. Very comfy beds, nice and quiet. Shower didn’t work properly tbf and kept flooding the bathroom floor a tiny bit, but we were in the hotel for sleeping really so weren’t bothered.
Hotel was good, room was huge & very minimalist. For us, bed was far too soft. Breakfast was good. Location is about a 20 min bus ride on no. 22 from central station and about a 5 min walk to hotel. There are trams as well, but bus drops you closer to hotel.
Superb hotel!
They had amazing staff. They are very knowledgeable about Amsterdam transit and attractions. This hotel is worthy of 5 stars. It is super clean. The rooms were very spacious with very comfortable bed and had great view of the canals. I had a very wonderful stay and definitely recommend this hotel.
Customer service was not friendly. Kind of rude.
Clean overall. Front staff seems to be always looking at their computer- seems to avoid eye contact. Only 1 room key given - staff says “ one is enough “. Thought standard is 2 keys per couple. One is used to power up the room lights / AC etc. 5-10 minute walk to tram station to get to city center. Surrounding seemed safe.
Overall excellent. Long walk from central apart from that everything was amazing.thanks.
Would definitely stay here again, rooms had beautiful view, nice bathrooms and beds. Nice area would recommend.
Gorgeous facilities. Boutique like and design centric. Harbor around is worth the extra view fees if available. Tram / bus to central is reasonable. Professional, helpful staff. Loved it!
Nicely located on the waterfront
Nice location, public transport generally about a 10-15 minute walk away. Good facilities but slightly let down by lack of coffee making facilities in room
Fantastic hotel, very clean, tidy and all round brilliant place. Hotel staff extremely helpful .
It’s perfect!
No kettle in room to make your own hot drink. Only coffee first day. And that was not replenished. No bottled water. Down in lobby a bottle of 500ml water for 3.5 euros. Didnt bother with breakfast. I guessed it would be just a continental- a few rolls and toast. For 16 euros each i didnt expect a full english. The place is just so sad looking. A few youngsters enjoying weed....the smell was everywhere.
Room was very nice, staff not so great...
The room was great, bed was very comfortable. I just felt that the staff was very cold. When I arrived I asked a couple of questions and I felt like I was annoying them. When checking out, the gentleman hardly acknowledged me and just said thank you you are all paid up. No, how was your stay? We hope everything was pleasent etc. That goes a long way.
Staying at the Niu Fender was a pleasure. The staff were hospitable and the service met expectations. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. The location is slightly removed from the center so its a bit of a walk or ride but you'll have a quiet stay.
The hotel is quite nice. Due to circumstances we were in two different rooms at different price points. Both were nice. In the lower price point it would have been nice to have cups/glasses provided. Loved the fresh fruit in the lobby and the refreshing water cooler. The staff were friendly, but although we were there over 10 days, they never bothered to learn our names or personalize the experience.
Would stay here agaib
Beautiful hotel, loved our stay
My experience with this venue was rather disappointing from the start when I wanted to cancel the reservation. The canceling policy was as strict, which I missed unfortunately. Nevertheless, I was traying to cancel just a day after reservation. To make it short I was told that I should have been rather happy that they agreed to make SOME changes at all. I find it a bit arrogant and silly as it forces a client to stay and makes him unhappy. As for the hotel, it's definitely understaffed for its size (for instance, one bartender), there is not a single bottle of water provided in a room, no kettle, no tea etc. You need to go downstairs to use the coffemachine and pay (not pennies !) for a drink. Location is poor. 15 min walk to tram. at least 30 min. to the city. Nothing interesting around General feeling - it's more like pricy hostel with nice disign than a real hotel

The beds are terrible. I booked it for a queen bed, but they gave me two single beds with a single mattress on top.
