Friendly and top notch staff.
Beautiful hotel in UES! We loved it!
Just perfect Staff attentive and on top of everything Wonderful experience
Favorite hotel in NYC
Dirty rooms
Extremely disappointed. One of the worst hotel stays we have encountered. For a iconic hotel like The Mark, they really lacked cleanliness and over all service.
Absolutely perfect, returning back soon.
Good service with heartfelt kind
the mark is superb all around. location is also great for nyc dining, shopping, and recreation (central park is one street over). my only suggestion is to add a sofa in the standard rooms as the table and 2 tiny chairs are not really functional or comfortable.
The staff!! They are the best!!!!! Thank you for an amazing stay.
.
Blown Away
We had an exceptional stay. Every single thing (the room, the bar, every single service/staff person) was perfect. It’s not often we stay in a place that has fine tuned all the details, but The Mark is hitting home runs. Can’t wait to return.
The location is excellent and the service was great. The only complaint is that the ac was noisy and the garbage truck was outside until midnight. It was very noisy.
Incredibly welcoming and luxurious hotel with wonderful staff and creature comforts.
First class in every way!!!
Fabulous hotel with superb accommodations, delicious food and drinks set in the most luxurious place in New York City!
Air conditioning in the room didn’t work one entire night and it happened on a day where outside temperature was 78*, and it was 80* inside. This type of incident should NOT happen in a 5 star hotel when you spend $1,300/1,400 a night. No bueno!
Fabulous
The staff and accommodations were phenomenal.
Loved the hotel. Thought Jean George was not on the same level as the hotel. Have dined at his restaurants for years. This was not very good. Would definitly return to the Mark but would look elsewhere for dining.
Nice location. Rooms noisy - street noise. Bellman unfriendly. Housekeeping staff very good. Room service very good. Concierge very good. Rooms tired - need care. Drain didn't work in tub, TV crooked, bathroom in need of repair/updating. So so experience. Disappointed from the reviews I have heard. Doesn't compare to the Carlyle around the corner.
The Mark hotel is amazing ! But they should take out the pizza off the menu . It’s awful
The Mark is our beautiful home away from him.
We LOVE this hotel. The attention to detail. The intimacy. The consistent quality and the general leadership of the GM is unparalleled. The helpful, friendly concierge (singling out Susanna and Narciso and the the front bellpeole. Our beautiful home away from him.
The doormen crew are amazing.
The neighborhood, location were perfect. Restaurants and ambience lively yet warm and inviting. One truly feels like a New Yorker staying at the Mark hotel.
Excellent hotel and the staff are exceptional.
Outdated.. Overpriced, and Lost its charm ! unmaintained, zero sound isolation between rooms, slamming doors and all noises can be heard .. room carpets are dirty and need to be changed, no coffee machine or kettle in rooms, AC and light and TV system is old (unlike other hotels where it’s smart keys and touch screens). No Spa, Gym is tiny… I don’t know what am I paying for ? Dead celebrities that used to stay here in the 50’s ?! The back outdoor patio space at Jean George restaurant is filthy and has small bugs, the orange sitting cushions are very dirty, the red umbrellas are full of wires and dirt.. All staff at Jean George restaurant need training .. I asked for a late check out but they refused saying hotel is in full capacity, while there are still rooms when I checked online ! I have to say that doormen/bellmen are nice and professional .. that’s it . Definitely, some Europe, and Dubai hotels are way much better, and have higher standards, while paying the same amounts or less ! Thank you, Amani AlRashed
Disappointing‼️‼️‼️
The room was not ready in time … I had an important event to attend that evening and had no place to change and get ready‼️ This made me very late to business event which I was hosting …. Very bad afternoon This is very unusual title The Mark and very upsetting and disappointing .
Super friendly helpful staff. Beautiful hotel. Food was fabulous also Rooms relaxing and cozy
Stay was excellent. Check in was Paid. Said the reservation was Canceled. Had under wrong name. Had a welcome letter addressed to wrong customer. He don’t expect that when paying $1,000 night All others were good
This used to be a quiet elite hotel. It is now criwded and noisy and under-staffed. Very disappointing!
Beautiful hotel!! Definitely be back soon.
Great stay!
No coffee machine in room??
😊😊great as always‼️‼️
Everything great as always… especially the people working in hotel… makes everyday Special… thank you😊😊😊
Outstanding property all the way around
Amazing!
Our favorite hotel! The best concierge staff and service. So professional, kind, and thoughtful! The head concierge Samuel will do impossible to get you the reservations at the places that would be impossible to get in otherwise. Best place for the family ))
We are regular Mark customers for mire than 15 years. It was wonderful to get back to The Mark hotel and to NYC fir a long weekend and experience the NYC vibe getting back to big apple. Mark was great, outstanding staff, great food and wonderful location. Memorable weekend !!!!
Great Experience
Stayed at the hotel for a month. Overall had a very nice experience. The staff was very helpful. The food was great. I also stayed during covid in Dec. when NYC was very quiet. I felt very safe in this boutique hotel. They are very aware of the guests. They have a fabulous hair salon and nail technician also. Definitely will continue to stay with them while in NYC.
Relaxing staycation
Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Mark. Location was great. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were very clean. Would love to come back!
Best hotel in NYC
Wonderful!
The Mark is a wonderful and elegant hotel in a prime location. The public spaces are “Show Stoppers” and the rooms are elegant and accommodating. The staff is professional and friendly. The bar and food are both “Over the top!” We will be back
#1 hotel in NYC
Amazing... best hotel in NYC... best staff!
Beautiful hotel fully updated.
Beautiful hotel fully updated. Everyone from check in to check out were super polite, professional and accommodating. Was a quick stay; however, truly enjoyed it and will certainly returning to fully utilized and test out all the amenities.
Great as usual. Night manager very helpful and great service.
Everything was nothing but perfection! Which I would expect for the $ paid 😊 will definitely stay at The Mark again.
The Mark
bar toocrowded, no preference for hotel guests. breakfast too expensive for the quality provided
The shower was amazing. Room was immaculate. Staff were very friendly.
Impeccable in every way. The people that work there are truly special and attentive to every detail.
All great except exaggerated prices even for Manhattan. Our favorite hotel in Manhattan except for this.
I always love staying at the Mark - it’s location, charm, quality and elegance make for a perfect NY stay.
The location is excellent and the food at the restaurant is great. The room is spacious. However, the hotel lobby is too small and always packed with people.
Great location. Room was well appointed but very small for the price. Hotel staff were great but service in the restaurant was not good. At breakfast it took over 15 minutes and at least 4 requests to get a cup of coffee and it seemed we had ask for everything...water, coffee, more coffee, etc.
Great Location Nice to have a car available to guests, unfortunately it was not available... Do not ask front desk staff about your Expedia reservation, they tell you to call Expedia....
There is no staff in the world like the MARK staff
Absolutely excellent!!!
Favorite hotel
Great place to stay.
This is a true gem in the best part of Manhattan. The service was exceptional. I want to do a shout out to Tim who greeted us at the front door - you are a true asset to The Mark, keep up the great work!
Good location... horrible room prep and lousy timely reception
Great location next to the Met and Central Park. Room decor seemed a bit dated. When we checked in the person helping us said the room would be ready in 10 minutes, so we sat down in the lobby (which the person helping us saw us do). 25 minutes later I inquired about the room (I don't know how long it had been ready) and the person reached into a drawer and gave me the key. When the room was ready they should have either came to us and given us the key or at least texted us.
Somewhat disappointed
Check in process was disorganized for such an expensive hotel. Food in the restaurant was unimpressive for the price. Rooms need more comfortable chairs.
Excellent from all aspects
Very upscale and luxurious. Always enjoy staying here.
Podrían tener mejor servicio en el restaurante.
Everything was a breeze from check in to checkout. Extremely courteous staff. Great service from everybody! We had a courtyard room which we found small but very quiet. The size of the room is the only thing we wish had been larger.
Excellent location, excellent everything!! Highly recommend this hotel. Worth every penny!
Room service breakfast food was very good and right on time but restaurant food and services was very average or less..
So I really wish I could give this 5 stars because the hotel staff went above and beyond. Perks: well considered rooms that make you feel at home. Top quality everything. Even noticing their off white carpet in room was a sign of their cleanliness because that is a bold move. With that said - we were sold on the hotel because it was supposed to have the fill Jean Georges menu available in room. While the food was above normal hotel room service - it was pretty disappointing for what they advertised (packaged baked goods, room temp and over seasoned lobster risotto, etc). The only real stand outs were the raw fish dishes. I could go into more specifics about food - but having stayed at many a 5-star hotel and been to Jean George restaurants - it felt gently bait and switch.
5-star service
5 star service, amazing staff. Cute bar downstairs. Free wifi
Best in nyc
Pleasant, quiet, relaxing stay
The service and location are excellent, rooms are kept very clean. Sometimes it seems they are a bit indifferent about booking through expedia, and the front desk has even recommended booking directly through the hotel. We book through expedia because of the convenience and rewards.
Lovely property, excellent location, attentive and caring staff
The hotel staff and room were excellent. Only drawback was the pricing of room service and in room bar. A Small bottle of Ginger Ale was $8. $8! And we ordered dinner for 2 )I had a pizza and my husband had a lobster roll, came to $130. Absurd. We don’t mind spending money for food but room service?! And 20% already included.... I’ll stick with Ritz Carlton
I live in New York and I craved a staycation in the Mark Hotel delivered. I felt pampered and at peace all the same time.
Superb! Hotel is so solid, beautiful, and elegant. Room was amazing: very comfortable bed with real ability to control the temperature. Bathrooms were the best with a remarkable tub and showers with terrific water pressure. While food was very good in restaurant, the wait staff seemed a bit aloof to me.
Very quiet location close to Central Park. Service was amazing! We will definitely be back again soon.
Awesome service, first class all the way. Room, bar, restaurant all top notch. Mini bar is a stoners dream. The hotel is old money with a refeshely open and youthful vibe. Everything New York has to offer for someone with discerning taste at any age.
Wonder stay. Staff were very helpful and kind. Very stylish looking hotel. Only trouble was noise from Madison Ave
We liked the location. The restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed the bar as well. An all around great experience.
Fine
Everything was good enough for a NYC hotel (never the best) but there were rodents scratching in the wall, which kept me up disturbed at night.
Very high quality, boutique feel, lovely rooms and bathrooms, terrific location.
Disappointing
The Mark is a beautiful property with much potential. Some staff are stellar. Those that are not really do leave the wrong impression. Ice dispenser in room did not work. Took three requests and an hour to get ice. Wine ordered was promised in 10 minutes. Took 25. Breakfast was barely warm and they came to room to get table 30 minutes after it arrived, knocking on a do not disturb marked door. A complaint to front desk yielded a bottle of wine, which was nice, but due to schedule could not drink. Asked to speak to manager. Nothing. I will say they had two large groups and it felt like the hotel was stretched thin to me.
Room was delightful apart from th noise if the refrigerator at night (light sleeper). Breakfast and dinner excellent
Wonderful location, top quality, friendly staff, beautiful rooms and bathrooms.
Beautiful room, great service, went to the Ket got the evening and then dinner. Will be back
Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. Quintessential New York. Boutique feel with 5 star quality.
This was our 15th visit to The Mark and we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is very friendly. The rooms very comfortable and th location is outstanding.
No blackout shade in room. No Nespresso or other coffee machine. Rate was 900$ per night. Not up to that standard.
This is Great hotel and wonderful location area, looking forward to going back again soon
Grest location & great service , very helpful staff - the best in NY
Great location - next to Park and restaurants. Concierge awesome
Very Nice!!! Loved the floors in the bathroom. The cabinets were retro. The mini bar was stocked well... It had everything you could want.
Wonderful hotel with warm and friendly staff in a perfect location.
Glad we came.
The food was amazing. The location to Central Park was awesome and the free bike rental was really awesome! The mini bar and bathroom was excellent.
World class stay
The Mark is a spectacular world class hotel located a couple of blocks from The Met on the upper east side. The highlight of the hotel for us was our large comforatble room, large bathroom, and the shower with such greatwater pressure. We loved it!
Beautiful hotel with attentive staff. Attention to detail in the room with all the comforts.
