Fantastic breakfast, lovely staff.

Super inviting stay! The staff was awesome, so friendly and gave great recommendations. Our room was huge and had a lot of charm. The breakfast options (though few) were extremely tasty and honestly, who needs a million choices on a menu! Parking was included and convenient, and we were within walking distance to so many restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay again!!

Great place

When booking my trip to Buffalo, I was not expecting this hotel to be one of the main attractions of the trip. This mansion is absolutely beautiful inside. So much character! The photos online do not do it justice. The staff treat you like royalty and are very welcoming. There are so many things included in the stay. The parking, first drink at the bar, and their delicious breakfast is all included. They even had two fresh baked cookies waiting for me in my room! The breakfast is not a typical continental breakfast like you would have at a traditional hotel. They have two upscale breakfast options to choose from and it was absolutely delicious. If I plan another trip to Buffalo, I would not stay anywhere else.

Cade, our Butler , was amazing. He was always right there and so helpful. It really made the stay much more exceptional

Enjoyed our stay

Service is just as important as the room, the room was good but the staff was excellent. When I come back to Buffalo I'm staying at The Mansion.

The Butlers at the Mansion didn't disappoint! The hotel is such a delight, and we particularly enjoyed the continental breakfast, free apertif, and general knowledge/care of the staff. We felt right at home in Buffalo! We'll definitely be back.

MODA provided a delightful and personable experience. The thoughtful details in my room made for a unique and personalized stay, capturing the essence of downtown Buffalo rather than the typical commercial hotel vibe. It was a wonderful experience, and I am looking forward to my next visit.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Mansion and would stay there again if traveling to the downtown Buffalo area. Our room was very nice, and we enjoyed our complimentary drink at the bar and our breakfast entrees. The location is a short walk to restaurants and the theater district. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room rates are reasonable as well, as compared to the larger chain hotels in the downtown area.

Excellent staff

Really nice place for our overnight stay. Love the history and the location to the theatre district is super convenient. Lots of restaurants in walking distance.

The room I was staying in had no fridge, so I couldn’t store anything cold, there was no hot water in the shower at all. and the breakfast was so tiny I would think paying $300 for a night it would be a some what bigger proportion meal, the parking was really confused in the directions it never said to park across the street.

What a lovely place! We could talk about the excellent breakfasts, the peaceful vibe and the mindfully restored property, but the standout is the staff. From start to finish, the staff were friendly, kind qnd accommodating - real hospitality professionals. We will return.

Room was super clean and staff was kind and helpful.

The only issue we had was internet connectivity. My recommendation would be to make internet connectivity as a number one positive feature, with TV technology (plugging in your laptop, for instance) a close second, and DELIVER IT. The rest of the place -- ambiance, art, elegance, food, service -- all was excellent!!!!!

A weekend Getaway

The staff was well mannered, well spoken, friendly and professional. Breakfast choices were excellent and the food was delicious. The room was huge and comfortable, and the fireplace added ambiance. The bathtub was a jacuzzi, which we didn't have time take advantage of. If your looking for a smaller, friendlier place to stay, The Mansion is what your looking for.

It was a beautiful old mansion with a nice breakfast area and bar. The sitting areas were charming, the rooms clean and nice and the staff warm and welcoming.

The stay was perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful! The bartender helped us find local restaurants and his recommendation was incredible. The building itself is beautiful. We will stay here again!

Great stay!

The experience in the hotel was phenomenal. The only fault was the breakfast. We had alerted them to a gluten allergy the night prior and when we went to get breakfast the staff was unaware of menu accommodations that we had already confirmed. The normal breakfast option also came out very cold and dry.

We loved our stay at the Mansion on Delaware and have already decided we will return next year. The room was comfortable - loved how dark it stayed in the morning for some much needed sleep! So many fun bars and restaurants in walking distance. Staff great, breakfast delish!

We stay here two ir three times a year because of the consistent quality of service, staff friendliness and beautiful rooms. The xommon apaces are inviting, warm and cozy. This place is one of my top 5 wver!

Very disappointed in my hotel stay. Hotel was being remodeled and I wasn’t in one of the nice rooms TV was in a difficult area to watch. It was small. Breakfast was also disappointing.

There were no butlers, although their online site and email correspondence indicated this service. (No one met us at the door, no one offered to carry our luggage, etc.) The main common rooms were beautifully restored, however the attention to detail was lacking in our room. The room seemed clean however it certainly did not look as advertised on the website. It was dingy with both the nightstands and associated lamps being mismatched, the curtain was falling off the rod, there was a roll in the carpet (trip hazard), there were no towel racks in the bathroom to hang the hand towels and face cloths, and the bathtub jet ports were discoloured making it visually unappealing and therefore the sense of being unsanitary (would not use). The chef made to order breakfast was misleading as there were only two options available.

The mansion was such a great experience. All the staff were amazing, very helpful and prompt, and friendly. We were also offered a welcome drink after check in, any time that evening Parking was really convenient, with it being right across the street. The room was clean and has some nice touches, such as some delicious cookies on the desk for us. And a hot breakfast, which was decent, was also included. Only tiny complaint was that the room was 90 deg F when we checked in. Easily remedied by adjusting the thermostat, but was like walking was into a sauna. Not sure why it was set that high to begin with. Overall great experience and would definitely stay there again.

We literally spent the night in a mansion! The facilities are not new but well maintained. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was elegant.

Was expected much more from the reviews. They must have put me in the most undesirable room in the mansion. Drapes not attached properly, toilet paper holder handing off the wall, uncomfortable pillows. Shower door frame was gross. Room definitely needs an update. I wanted to experience something different besides staying at a chain hotel, which I normally do. I won’t be staying there again.

Our room was lovely and the staff were very friendly.The hotel is close to many restaurants and bars, very walkable. Park across the street at their complimentary lot at your own risk. Someone tried to break into my car and cracked a window. Not any fault of the hotel.

Free parking, free breakfast, spacious comfortable room, nice ambiance.

I had two mishaps with this room (wasn't entirely cleaned when I checked in, and later my keys stopped working), but the staff worked quickly to resolve these incidents. Great area with plenty of restaurants to choose from all within walking distance or a short ride. I'd stay here again!

Two Night Stay

This renovated mansion is a nice place for a couple to stay. The complimentary breakfast is actually very good, the service is excellent, and the service is excellent too. The rooms are a little small, but, again, perfect for a couple. Also, it is in a great location, walking distance to downtown and other good areas for dining, nightlife, and shopping.

For as beautiful as the building was and all they offered, it was honestly just alright. The air conditioning in the room was the loudest possible thing, but the windows were painted shut so we couldn't open them to get any air. The view from the window was just the roof. The bed was not super comfortable. The vegan options (which I asked about days in advance) was just oatmeal, which is honestly pretty lazy for a fully stocked kitchen. Overall it was a gorgeous property but they didn't offer much extra for the price

The staff is wonderful. The rooms are very clean . This is our 2nd time staying and we love it.

The staff and outside were absolutely great, but I simply cannot excuse how run down this place is. We were without hot water for almost an entire day. Walking from the parking lot to the hotel (which is just across the street) we ran into numerous homeless people, one who chased us while yelling at us. The room was really cute, but looks like it hasn't been maintained at all. The air vents were filled with dust and there was an unspeakable amount of mold grime on the tub, which to their credit they cleaned out the mold when brought to their attention. Like I'm all for a more worn room, but this was just gross. Also the thermostat was kinda just stuck through a hole in the wall and the utility panel in the bathroom wasn't secured properly. Also I really hope the mirror is just styled, but with the rest of the black mold I found I am not sure how much of it is just that. All of this probably stems from the fact that the fan in the bathroom does not work. Wouldn't recommend.

Never again

The breakfast was very skimpy and only allowed 2 choices. Guest room was small and did not have an armchair for reading. Very rigid about 4pm check in time. Carpets were threadbare in hallways. Never again.

Disappointed with our room. Bed was uncomfortable. It was sinking in the middle and you can feel the springs. The bathroom needs a complete do over. Jetted tub, but jets are brown inside. All the caulking around the tub looked dirty. Tile floor looks stained and dirty

The staff was very nice and helpful. Little bar for a nice spot to relax in the afternoon/evenings. It was convenient for what we wanted to do in the area. Room was comfortable. Great little place to stop and we will again if we are back in the area.

Complimentary drink at the bar is a nice touch! Can’t beat this location so close to the theatre district and Allen nightlife. The room interior was a bit dated but that didn’t bother us.

Was once an impressive mansion. Now needs extensive updating. Use of air freshener everywhere unpleasant and does not cover up the need for new wallpaper, getting rid of mold, inefficient and noise room AC, and a bathroom that needs to be cleaned and updated. Good location; good free parking; much-mentioned free breakfast pretty bad.

Staff members were exceptionally kind, breakfasts were delicious, and the hotel was incredibly quiet even though many guests were there for weddings. The Mansion doesn’t have all the amenities of newer venues, but the old world charm more than made up for it!!

The building is beautiful, location is good. For $150/night this is a decent hotel room. However, for $500/night guests expect decent water pressure-the shower is terrible, wallpaper peeling. I couldnt wash my hair because of the poor water pressure. Disappointing.

Parking lot was not well marked and strangely undulating—but the hotel itself was lovely. Really good breakfast and excellent service.

Charming hotel with wonderful staff

Our first trip to Buffalo, and we enjoyed our stay at the Mansion. Only real negative is that my wife had considerable difficulty managing the step-in shower tub. The shower nozzle came undone and was difficult to reconnect. Upon complaining the tub felt unsafe the staff immediately and graciously made arrangements to transfer us to a room with a walk-in shower. Secondly, it would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room to cool beverages and access to some snacks of some sort. As to the positives: the staff were very polite, helpful and accommodating; the breakfasts with choice of sweet or savory everyday were wonderful; the complementary beverage at happy hour and free parking across the street were welcome; and the hotel had no shortage of charm. Highly recommended and a place we would stay at again when going to Buffalo.

We loved the Mansion! The staff was so welcoming! The bar and sitting room were beautiful. We stayed in a newly renovated room with an amazing bathroom. It was very quiet even the air conditioning was so quiet. The room needed a little art but it was very comfortable.

Beautiful unique rooms and art work throughout. All staff had perfect Butler vibes. Historic architecture. Just loved everything about this place. Highly recommend.

The so-called butlers are excellent; there's a free drink upon arrival from the bar and the complimentary breakfast, cooked-to-order (!), is top-drawer. Bathrooms could use more hooks or towel-racks, but that's a quibble. A memorable stay.

The Mansion on Delaware excels at customer service. The butlers went out of their way to assist, even heating up our leftover food from the precious evening to have for lunch. Each evening offered a complimentary cocktail or glass of wine and complimentary breakfast each morning served by the butler on duty. I highly recommend this property!
