Clean, and practical, and the staff and locals are excellent!
A comfy and quiet spot at the end of highway 101. We enjoyed our ocean front room with balcony, it was super quiet as there are no rooms above. Parking around back for guests with shops adjacent. Lovely bar and restaurant featuring local cuisine. Would happily stay again.
My father and myself came up the coast on a whim just to experience the area while I’m visiting and booked a room at the Lund Resort at Klah ah men literally an hour before we arrived. The resort is right on the water with an amazing view, the staff member we met/checked in with was wonderful (thank you!), and the rooms are spacious with comfortable hues - the electric fireplace is a really nice mood and I really loved the beautiful Indigenous art throughout including on the bed which was extremely comfortable. Spontaneous decisions don’t always work out but this one absolutely did. Not a single regret choosing to stay here and next time I’m able to travel this way, I’ll be staying here again. You’re in the heart of something up here and the quiet is the perfect escape.
Room was cozy clean spacious bathroom and nice deck overlooking the busy lil marina Great pub Fun staff
Lund is a wonderful little place, and this is the place to stay. It is close to everything in town (walking distance) and there are good hikes, etc. nearby. Very clean, nice staff.
Excellent reception. Much better than expected.
Friendly staff, super clean room, huge comfy bed, coffee in rooms, and our balcony was right on the water with a great view of the marina and harbour. We were able to launch our kayaks from the hotel parking lot. There is a nice pub with patio right in the hotel overlooking the waterfront. Theres a convenience store and liquor store on site and bakery cafe a stones throw away for breakfast.
It was a great accommodating hotel. Clean, older building, Very soft bed, Staff was great, We came by boat, so Very convenient. It worked well for us.
Incredible spot, lovely staff, extremely accommodating. Rooms were pristine, and they made a room switch to make it easier for us to be able to easily take our dog out for walks. 10/10 would highly recommend
Super friendly staff.
The location
Very friendly and helpful employees
Beautiful location but room was too hot. Aircon not working properly!
Lovely staff Ns lively spacious room with nice big bathtub!
Very friendly and low key environment. Excellent access to Savary Island and other beautiful environments. Wonderful people, beautiful natural sights, wonderful food options, easy going everything.
Staff was amazing
It was a great weekend get away. I can't wait to visit again.
The place is great. They are just reopening this summer after being closed for the past few years due to COVID. Staff was great, but stretched thin. You have to call a number to get hold of the manager to check you in as she is also covering the restaurant. Also the restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Room could use a microwave.
Manager and front desk/ house cleaner provided excellent service. Accommodating for storing our bikes overnight. Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed a nice dinner and beers at the pub
Short staffed. The room was dirty with spider webs. no cleaning service during the whole duration of our stay. no staff at the lobby during normal hours. Guests have to call and wait to check in. The manager complained to the guests about can’t find people to work as excuses for bad service.
The Manager was great! Very helpful. The rooms were a bit dated and our room didn’t have a TV (although every other room seemed to have one which was a bit strange). The sound travels very easily between rooms so it was a bit noisy at night with a family with a young baby on one side and a family with a dog on the other side. But there’s only so much you can expect from an old building and a busy summer. Restaurants close very early in Lund (8 pm) but it’s a beautiful little spot.
Simple, comfortable in a very nice place.
Very bad service. My reservation was cancelled same day as arrival due to lack of rooms. How can that happen, when booking 10 days in advance?
Was very relaxing. View was amazing. Food was great at bakery and at seafood re Hotel restaurant was not open due to staffing
.
Stopped in by water and got a room, checked in late by a friendly manager. Check in was easy, rooms new and clean, great hot showers and an good coffee selection in the am.
The hotel was good condition and all staff were very kind and helpful.
The host is amazing. She was very helpful.
great stay and super helpful and accomodating staff when we showed up late.
Laurel upgraded us to a beautiful waterfront room for my Hubby's 70th Birthday. The service was great, and it was a very enjoyable trip. The water taxi to Savary Island is directly in front of the hotel, so we enjoyed the short boat ride there, where we spent an afternoon. Highly recommend this hotel! D. Wilk
Great little spot to stay while visiting Lund!
We had a wonderful time at The Lund Hotel! We were really happy to see it reopened. The room was beautifully redone and the view was amazing! From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out we were very happy with the entire experience! Definitely will be back again soon!
Pretty run down. Not enough staff. The receptionist was very nice.
Met and escorted to our room by the Resort Manager
A nice clean cozy room in Lund. I booked last minute, and they were very accommodating.
We had great breakfast, the room was nice bur to hot
It is right on the water and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean but dated. I would give it a 2 Star Rating, and for that it is overpriced!
Very friendly and comfortable. Food was great
Not a room with a harbourview
Booked a harbourview room, sadly the only view we had was of the parking lot. The hotel was well managed, friendly, helpful however for a basic room looking over a parking lot the room rate was expensive and we did not get the view I was led to believe I had paid for. I was also called and asked to change my room to accommodate a client with a disability. I said I was happy to move as long as I was in an equivalent room with a view. This made it even more disappointing to be in a room with a parking lot view
Central location to activities in the Lund area. Everything is so convenient.
Beautiful place.
Very friendly welcome. Lovely setting. Great food. Room small but ok. Air conditioning not great. Curtains too small!
Disappointment
A very disappointing stay for my moms 70th birthday. No one was at the hotel when we arrived around 6:30 pm. Picked up our keys through a lock box. Had to haul luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The restaurant and pub were closed. Apparently the hotel was going through renovations which we were not made aware of beforehand. When we came down for the continental breakfast in the morning, I was told that there wasn't any ordered for us. I had to show front desk my booking through hotels.com that showed breakfast was included. She finally gave us $20 for the bakery for breakfast. Overall Lund is a beautiful place but the hotel experience was definitely poor and disappointing.
Very nice location if you are planning a visit also to Savary Island. Nice restaurant and pub at the hotel with a great view. Also a nice restaurant close by called the Boardwalk. You also have to visit Nancy’s Bakery in Lund.
I love the heritage of the building. The staff were excellent. The room was super clean. The bed was super comfy, and the renos make the place feel fresh and updated.
Right on the beach l, peaceful and quiet out of town so you could relax ,clean and cozy beds
Recently purchased by the band, this hotel was undergoing major renovations. Situated right on the water, the hotel is simple but clean with friendly, reliable staff at the front desk. The room was clean. Beds were comfortable. The bay had a great bakery, a water taxi, a place to rent kayaks, and an amazing restaurant. The restaurant at the hotel was currently closed but is opening again soon. Great place. I would stay again.
We booked an Ocean View, Superior room. The room overlooked the car park, and was definitely mot "Superior". We talked with the front desk but did not receive an acceptable response. Promises of "we will look into it" have so far, not borne fruit. We may or may not get a response. The hotel is great (however it was under "renovation" about which we were not advised). I would advise people to check with the hotel, Expedia do not seem to assume any responsibility if things go wrong. I would advise not to use Expedia com.
Clean and comfortable
Clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay.
We've visited/stayed periodically at the Lund Hotel for many (almost 30) years. We were disappointed this year with most of the staff (unfriendly) and the hotel restaurant and bar. We probably won't be back for a while.
Great hotel in fantastic location. Would definitely come and stay again
Beautiful place to stay! Small rooms as this is a historic hotel, but well-appointed.
Bad faith overcharging—no deal
Ridiculous to be charged in US dollars for a Canadian hotel—no notice given except in the fine print on my receipt after the fact. The hotel was disappointing and this makes for a lousy after taste. Never again will I use this American company to book.
Great place to stay.
Clean, comfy beds are right on the ocean.
Quaint village. Comfortable beds, great fiiendly staff. Our room location wasn’t the best, expensive and really uncomfortable chairs inside/ out. Room was small but otherwise it was apleasant experience.
Lund visit
Love Lund. My family really enjoy it. The hotel is just perfectly located at the Harbour. Our hotel room had fantastic view. We had wonder experience
Small but very clean rooms with super comfy beds and very quiet. Amazing location right on the water by the Lund Water Taxi to Savary Island. Great restaurant/pub attached and morning breakfast free!
Nice comfortable historic hotel in the charming village of Lund. Beautiful setting at the end of highway 101!
Popular hotel close to destination
This hotel is close to restaurants, water taxis, a few stores and popular destinations. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom had everything: nice toiletries, fluffy towels, non-slip tub, nice gowns. The room price was reasonable for high season and included a fridge, wine glasses, water and a coffee station with good coffee and tea. Continental breakfast was included: fresh fruit, bagels, waffles, cold cuts. The bed and linen and quiet location contributed to rest & relaxation!
Scenic view
Lovely setting in a quaint seaside town. Great room, quiet and cozy. Loved the historic building. Helpful staff. Lund is a great destination with kayaking trips to Copeman Islands and water taxi to Savory Island. Nearby Nancy's Bakery is a great place to breakfast. The Hotel has a pub and we were able to watch the World Cup (FIFA) soccer games. There is a great 1 KM loop trail near the hotel.
A great place to spend a couple of days. The hotel was clean, comfy, quiet and the service was great. If you eat in the bar don't get the tall blond for a server. You will not be happy with the service as you will not get any.
Room needs better lighting, chairs need repairs loose legs
Will be back soon
Amazing place, completely renovated for 2018 summer season.
Fun place to stay while visiting the Lund area.
Great starting point for the water taxi to begin our hike on the Sunshine Coast Trail. Staff was very accommodating . Room was comfortable and met our needs. We loved our experience there.
great place to stay.
Apprehensive about ‘historic’ hotel
This hotel was completely remodeled, rooms were beautifully decorated & immaculate! Would highly recommend for those wanting a relaxing, breathtaking view in a BC coastal location. We had 1 problem, both restaurants closed on Tuesday early spring visit,
Clean but outdated and noisy
The room met the basic requirement of two beds and cleanliness. But it could use some updating for the size and the price we paid. The AC was very noisy and the beds were not comfortable
The rooms have been well decorated so they look inviting as soon as the door is opened. Our room was clean! The staff at the front desk were a bit cool but efficient. The breakfast voucher we had was a nice surprise and the breakfast menu, service and food in the attached restaurant were all excellent.
An oasis of comfort on the seashore
The room 210 to 216 face the ocean so the view is wonderful. They are well furnished and the king bed is super comfortable!
Comfy stay ashore.
Pleasant staff welcomed us to our clean room and very comfy bed. Blackout drapes kept the early morning sun out. It was a short stay and I would return.
Chris and Chelsea wedding
the hotel is set in a lovely place the rooms are a bit on the small side very clean service very good. the breakfast voucher is excellent 10 dollars towards your breakfast. the food excellent.also service. very clean also. Lund is an excellent place if you have a boat the scenery is beautiful. but not a lot to do if you have a few days there. also the drive to Lund I found quite boring.................the food at the pub was awful . fries were burned almost black also the burgers. the restaurant food was better at the breakfast.
Standard room needs upgrade especially the bathroom.
Misleading
The room we booked was advertised as "bay view" on Hotels.com and this was not the case - no view of anything other than a parking lot. When I argued with the manager for a better room I was told only the king bed suites had views and none of the rooms in the category I booked had views. I was also told the hotel always gives the worst rooms to people who book through Hotels.com or Expedia.
Great patios
Great patios overlooking the marina and ocean. Breakfast was excellent.

Laurel was a warm and welcoming hostess. I appreciated the quick check and questions she answered about the property and area. The extra touches to support a welcoming experience made all the difference for a 5 star review.
