Mcbride Lodge
Very clean Hotel, Large rooms with a comfy bed and the staff were helpful and nice. Best Hotel in Mcbride I really enjoyed my stay.
Great place to stay!!
Great new owners, loveky room
We were delighted with the service and comfort of room. 1st time staying here and will stay again. Would have loved a pet friendly room as leaving our dig in the car is a bit iffy in the winter.
Very good
Amazingly great place to stay again only down fall hot tob wasnt warm till after 4pm.
It was clean cozy and simple
Very clean and modern rooms, very quiet building. Staff super friendly.
We were unable to stay at this property because we have a small dog with us. I did not see the “no pet” policy because it was at the bottom of the site and I did not scroll down past the “other hotels you might like” section.
Room was super clean and even had some chocolate and cookies set out for us. Definitely one of the nicer places I’ve ever seen in a small town. Definitely recommend!!
Great Spot.
Really peaceful and comfy room. Friendly receptionist. You can tell this place is owner operated with a level of care that 99% of hotels have lost sight of.
Didn't really know what to expect. Bit hidden away and gravel parking lot. Our room was really nice & clean. Would stay again.
Room was clean and welcoming. Showers were nice and hot and the bed was perfect.
Very clean and quiet place to stay.
Spacious and SUPER clean rooms, friendly staff, would definitely book here again!
Great place and amazing xomfortable rooms
Older hotel. Dark in halls and rooms. VERY strong cleaning smell, possibly insecticide also, in room and halls: bedding, towels, prob carpet.Tried to clear air using bathroom fan but it’s very loud. Bathroom fixtures cheap (strange considering motel advertises as originally for “Europe’s Elites”). Entrance to hotel is through locked door even in daytime, need special code or ring bell. Exit requires unlocking door (fire hazard). A heavy interior hallway door must be opened to pass through to farther rooms. Manager very nice, doing the best she could with what’s there.
Upon arrival it was locked and dark before five pm. Staff seemed annoyed that I hadn't received your email. We had been in the touring park for 7 hours, no cell service. Besides, I don't want on vacation.Have time to look at emails daily! Had left message around three, that we were on our way, when I did get cell service in another town. Staff was perplexed that I had not sign her guest agreement, before arrival. Never have I ever had to sign quite the guest agreement and then subject To interrogation. Hospitality was very lacking! Henceforth will never let any third party book for us!We are retired.Want to enjoy our vacation .There were no handicap parking accommodations. My husband has prosethic leg, does not do stairs very well.Well there was nothing about that on the property. Did not feel comfortable, didn't even use any of the amenities other than the bed, toilet,si!nk, 2 towels !We left early. Did not sleep well because of all this. Won't be booking again. The property was clean and tidy.
Very unique. Very clean. Great staff Enjoyed the hot tub! Call ahead for hot tub.
The room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities in the room that were needed. I think that my friend and I were the only 2 guests for the night that we were there. It is a very nice facility.
Awesome service even helped carry my bags. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed!
Nice room but limited food in the area and lousy TV coverage.
This property was super quiet, very clean, and it had personal touches around the room, even snacks, which made it feel like home!
A beautiful hotel with spacious rooms, excellent service and just a wonderful ambiance.
Top notch accommodation

A real gem of a nice place
On the night July 22 we were evacuated from Jasper, Alberta due to wildfire. Since all hotels were booked and we had to sleep on a church basement floor that 1st night, so we decided it would be a good idea to book accommodation for the 2nd night, given rooms were nearly sold out. There were a lot of unknowns and it was very stressful. It turned out the following day that we needed to get on the road instead of spending the night in McBride, so I called this hotel and spoke with the manager, hoping for his understanding during a difficult time. He was quite short with me and indicated he couldnt help me because I booked through Expedia. I called Expedia who were compassioniate about our situation, but indicated that ultimately it was up to the hotel and they would contact the owner to negotiate on our behalf. I subsequenty received an email from Expedia advising the owner would not agree to a refund. I have since called the manager once again to explain we were fleeing a wildfire and that we were hoping for a little compassion, especially knowing how many people were desperate for hotel rooms at that time. He would have easily been able to sell the room again. My call with the manager did not go well. In fact, he hung up on me. Do yourself a favour and choose a hotel that cares about people more than dollars in their wallet. Very unfortunate experience during a traumatic situation.
Nice and quiet
Overall good
Very comfortable
The Lodge was a good place to stop and I would stay again next time I travel BC to Alberta.
Outstanding service and facilities. Cheers Calvin
Our new best place to stay in McBride!
No issues
Cleanest room overall that we have had on our trip and we stayed at some big name hotels. Will stay here again. Don't let the plain exterior fool you, it is really nice.
Nice place to stay for a night or two
Quiet, comfortable, clean
Top notch accommodation
Everything was in great condition, clean, and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. They helped us get our luggage upstairs to our room. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.
The room was very clean, spacious and well-equipped. The bedding was comfortable and the location was very quiet and peaceful.
Good place
Lovely place!
I recommend staying here! Rooms are great.
Super friendly staff. Great room ! Had good sleep
Always a great nights rest after a long drive.
Rooms are up to date, and very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpfull. Hot tub was out of order which was not mentioned on website, not a big deal, but would be nice to know. No matter what we will always stay here because of the service, comfort and its so quiet.
Wonderful clean and tidy rooms, staff were great. Would definitely stay here again
Very quiet in the Inn and outside. Very comfortable
Excellent place to stay
Great value stay
Super friendly staff, hottub was great after a cold day out, clean and tidy place. Great value.
Very clean and quiet
The Lodge is a diamond in the rough!!! Beautiful, clean and so comfortable. Thanks for keeping such a lovely lodging in a time when so many hotels show zero pride of ownership. Very impressed.
Spacious room, clean and well equipped. Comfortable bed, good facilities. Great place to stopover.
The Lodge was easy to get to. Room was clean and a good size, had that rustic feel to it but swanky touches like an ornate tissue container. The Lodge was very quiet. Not a lot of TV options. Coffee only in the room but you could send a text and request tea. Would definitely stay here again.
The room and place was clean. The town list services of internet, cell, tv. All but not due to lodge. Limited places to eat in town. But food and services at Heartland family restaurant was great
My husband and I very much enjoyed our two-night stay at The Lodge McBride. Our room was so nice and clean with a noted attention to detail. Our bed was very comfortable allowing for a good night’s sleep. The staff were welcoming and friendly which made for a hassle-free check-in. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!
Hands down the nicest place to stay in McBride! Very quiet, clean and a very comfortable bed
Well done property, but couldn't get any volume on the tv to find out about a hurricane headed towards our home and the A/C was extremely noisy...had to get up and shut it off and just deal with the warmth!
McBride's Best
Our stay was great and restful. Just what we were looking for. Rooms were large and comfortable.
Clean quiet Couldn’t open gate for access to hot tub Limited activities Toilet was very low to ground Not bad if you’re short but annoying for tall people Bed was comfortable
No elevator no chairs in the room
There was some misunderstanding of child definition from hotels.com and the hotel. Hotels.com define child as a person less than 14 years old, but the hotels define child as a person less than 9 years old. As a result, I have to pay extra for my boy 12 years at the property while I already paid hotels.com.
The Lodge McBride was truly wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and the check-in process was seamless. We were promptly handed a actual key to access our room, which added a personal touch to the experience. Each room had its own unique themed name, such as “Mount Robsin.” The rooms themselves were immaculately clean and filled with thoughtful amenities, including a fridge and a coffee machine. The tasteful decorations and style added to the overall charm. The bedding was soft, giving a comfortable stay. Moreover, the inclusion of a hot tub and spa room, along with a workout area, was a great addition. Thank you for a excellent stay. We would be definitively coming back.
The owner of this lodge is very welcoming. Very nice and quiet place.Highly recommended
Een mooi pand, de kamers waren vernoemd naar bergen en in die kamer hing dan een mooie foto van die berg. Hottub konden we in. Gewoon heel fijn.
Great place to stay. Nice spacious clean rooms. Nice and quiet. Will stay there again
Clean and comfy.
Nice , clean , ample parking , very friendly and helpful staff
Clean hotel. Not many extras
Clean and quiet property, big rooms, ample parking
Clean, safe place to stay overnight. Streaming Tv doesn’t work well.
Comfortable in McBride.
Very clean and comfortable, well managed lodge. Just an overnight stay. Fast check-in, well appointed room. Bathroom clean.
McBride is a small town on 16 and the lodge was clean and the stay very enjoyable. Definitely the best place to stop.
Very nice lodge, very clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Highly recommend
Great! The rooms are large, very nice and clean. Each room is named after a different mountain. spent a nice quiet time in the hot tub.
Very pretty and extremely clean room. The owner is very nice and helpful. I had some misunderstanding regarding the price (that ended up being my fault) and he spent time to kindly explain me everything.
