The staff was so nice and exceptional in every department. The lodge was beautiful, the grounds were breathtaking. Definately worth the experience!
Beautiful property and we loved our stay. All the staff is very attentive and friendly. They treat you as their family.
It is an amazing property with the most incredible staff and owners. Delicious food. It truly was a gift to spend 2 days in the jungle with adventure and relaxation.
Great place to stay, loved the butterfly farm and little museum. Staff were really helpful and would love to come back and stay there again.
It was beautiful and the adventures they supplied were amazing. We enjoyed everything and everyone. Can not recommend this place enough.
Food was great
This was an amazing property in the middle of the jungle. The staff was beyond incredible!
Chaa Creek is magical. The property is incredible, staff were amazing, food was exceptional, activities fantastic and well organized, and a legitimate eco lodge. Very unique experience. And family friendly for all ages.
Excellent place, great restaurant at the hotel.
Beautiful and expansive property with a lot to do and offer. The staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful. Food and drinks were great. The property is surrounded by nature so naturally bugs are present. Overall great place to stay!
Perfect birthday getaway!
Nature outside our room, delicious dinners, interesting guests, a delightful tour of the butterfly farm, and a fabulous cooking class, our visit was first rate!
Definitely bring bug spray. No complaint everything was excellent. Food was delicious, people were friendly, service was great ! We have enjoyed it very much. Thank you chaa creek!!
Fantastic property and wonderful staff
Top notch jungle resort bangalo
Highly recommended
Fantastic. An oasis of luxury in a tropical forest. The grounds are amazing - like staying in a botanical garden. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All meals at the on-site restaurant were excellent. Pool is fantastic. Only drawback is no air conditioning. It does cool off just a little by late at night, but the humidity is real. During the day, jumping in the pool is a great way to cool off. Well located for day excursions to nearby Mayan ruins including Xunantunich and the must-do ATM cave.
10 out of 10
Fantastic stay at The Lodge at Chaa Creek. The team couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating. Each person we interacted with was genuine, thoughtful, and was passionate about Belize! I recommend everyone book the cooking class through the hotel.
Amazing place!
Amazing diversity of activities, knowledgeable staff of guides and naturalists. Even the bartenders were amazing and welcoming. Top notch place!
Terrific place but not all rooms have ac.
Very well run, comfortable jungle lodge. Beautiful property, and accomodations.Very friendly staff, terrific bar and breakfast. Lunch/Dinner food isn't very appetizing and requires improvement and refinement given the incredible access to fresh ingredients. It was disappointing, and even moreso compared to how excellent everything else was. Unfortunately, due to the remoteness, we had to eat there.it was our only option.
The property is amazing; the food is excellent. Everyone is superfriendly. The beds were mildewed and no amount oc changing sheets or disinfectant could change this. Onsite guides were mixed - some were excellent; others were average. There si a lot to do right n the property , and the property os beautiful. Not impressed by their lack of concern tot he mildew issue. Yes, they tried to correct it but never followed up to make sure we were ok (which we were not) - we were going to extend our stay but decided not to.
Extraordinarily beautiful setting and wonderful staff.
Worth every penny!!! Stay here.
From the second we arrived to even after we left, Chaa Creek exceeded all expectations and had the best service of any place we’ve traveled. The staff is SO attentive and thinks of things before you do. We arrived to fresh sorrel drink and then we got all our tours (Tikal and ATM Cave day trips, horseback riding to organic farm, sunset canoeing, birdwatching, medicinal trail hike and more) settled for rates better than the other hotels in the area. We stayed at a nearby hotel on our last night in San Ignacio bcs Chaa was booked and they even arranged flights for us and picked us up from that hotel to drive us to the airport, even though we were staying elsewhere! At dinner in the evenings, they’d find us to make sure we knew the time and info of the next day’s tours. We HIGHLY recommend this place, great for families and couples alike. Worth every single penny. Food was fantastic and accommodations were beautiful, too. Woke up to toucans and howler monkeys and started our day in a hammock. We recommend taking a small plane to get here via Tropic Air, the airstrip is so close and it’s beautiful to see the country from the sky. Thank you to all the staff who made this experience exceptional, we will be telling our stories of Chaa Creek for years to come.
Spectacular in every way!
This place is heaven on earth! Absolutely spectacular! The service, the views, the tours, the accommodations are beyond belief. Every meal was astounding! The chef has a gift. I cannot say enough how unbelievably amazing this place is. The people and service are fabulous. I hope I will have the opportunity to return someday.
Amazing property. Lots to do & see. Great for a family traveling with young children.
Magical Place!
A great experience at a really fantastic resort. It's a beautiful place, full of amazing things to do, from the river canoeing and innertubing, to hiking, to cave tubing, to Mayan ruins, to our favorite - horseback riding. It's a bucket-list kind of place, in our family's opinion, and we will be going back!
Hotel was GREAT!!!!! Do know it’s a 20 min $30 taxi each way to get into town
Five stars - excellent food, location, service and overall experience.
Beautiful. Birding, butterflies, rainforest medicine trail, canoeing, swim in river or pool and dekicious breakfast. No AC but was able to hear music of the jungle
Jungle Experience!
Best Hotel we saw in Belize. Located in Jungle highlands with an incredible property. Unspoiled Jungle with crazy monkeys, lots of wild birds and creatures, i am not sure what they were!
Natural Wonderland
Staff was great!
Highlight of our trip!
We stayed at Chaa Creek based upon online reviews, but no amount of praise can do this place justice. Spacious and clean rooms, immaculate grounds, awesome staff, meals that we can't stop talking about (menu changes daily and everything is prepared fresh), plus activities galore. We stayed in a garden suite (reserved a cottage but upgraded?) and were most impressed by the comfort and size of the room. The pool was a great welcome home after a hot day out and about. Note: No air conditioning, but not a problem. Evenings were cool. We definitely will return, and Chaa Creek will be a central part of our vacation plan.
It was fine, but we won't be back
I would rate this a solid 3.5 stars. It's annoying because all of the things to make it 4.5 stars would be easy to do. It started with me inquiring as to why there weren't any reusable water bottles in our room like the little brochure in the room said there should be. I was told that since I was on a 25% discounted rate, I didn't get water bottles. Ok...I guess I'll buy them. I was prepared for the gift shop to charge me $20 per water bottle or something. $4. So I spend $4k at this place and they go through the hassle of not giving us water bottles to save $8. The kicker is, I didn't even want to keep the water bottles, i just wanted to use them while I was there. I heard other guests asking and complaining to different staff members, with the same answer. Just left a bad taste in my mouth from day one. From there, there's a long list of things that are three star type of issues. None major but they all add up. Rooms are really hot: put in a couple more ceiling fans and make them more powerful, like the ones in the bar and restaurant. They dramatically overcharge for transport to excursions. Like $110 to go 20 mins down the road. There are lizards and bugs in the rooms. I get it, it's the jungle, but provide some netting for the bed. Cheap and easy. The bar area seating is really uncomfortable. The dinner restaurant staff was consistently underwhelming. And dinner soups and desserts weren't great. Anyway, fine but won't return. There are better places.
Nice place but seems to be past its prime
A pleasant enough stay in the jungle but for the price we would have expected a bit more. Food was good but not great, no AC in the room made for a sticky nights sleep and concierge seemed irritated that we'd booked our own tour to Tikal before arrival. Butterfly exhibit was nice for the kids and they loved the pool (but don't they always?).
Comfortable, stylish, peaceful
My friends and I spent a few days at Chaa Creek over Thanksgiving and I've been raving about the lodge since I returned! Lovely staff, remarkably beautiful property and really comfortable room. I travel a lot and am picky about finding a good bed and Chaa Creek definitely delivered. I'm definitely looking to return!
Great hotel in the jungle
Lovely hotel and super friendly staff, we were upgraded to the spa unit free of charge, and the apartment was amazing, the pool is beautiful and clean, food was good. I will definitely go back.
An ecolodge in the Belize jungle
A beautifully landscaped, tropical paradise with good food, friendly and contented staff featuring many luxuries as well as access to plenty of stimulating educational and recreational outdoor activities.
Stunning rainforest. Friendly staff. Gorgeous plar
Everything was terrific no complaints. Would go back in a heartbeat
Lovely property, amazing activities nearby
This property is definitely worth staying at for a few days. Rooms are very comfortable, food is delicious (Try the coconut mojitos and the homemade yogurt and muesli for breakfast.) You can visit Mayan ruins from here, I visited Xunantunich early in the morning which was amazing with the mist, very mysterious. We also had the chance to visit a Mayan family close by, they were lovely. They told us of their customs which they are trying to save, all 3 generations were there, cooking together, showing us local ingredients, one of my best experiences. After your tours you can enjoy the pool which is one of the best I've seen in Belize. They have a huge spa in property as well as a butterfly garden and museum.
Toller Ausgangspunkt für den Dschungel und Kultur
Großartige Lodge mit vielfältigen Angeboten, in der wir beim nächsten Mal länger bleiben würden, um von dort aus verschiedene Ausflüge zu machen.

Every staff member treated the customers like royalty. They were so friendly and welcoming. The property was breathtaking. A great spot for respite and relaxation. My mom and I went on the horseback ride. Highly recommend as it was very reasonable and an actual "in jungle" adventure. The guide was so funny and provided a memory to last a lifetime
