Lalit - The WORST
If you want to get yourself embarrassed, you don’t care about respect and service from a 4 or 5 Star property, The lalit Jaipur is definitely a place which will give you all these experiences in ABUNDANCE. Worst experience ever!!!!
close to airport, good to arrange shuttle services.
NOT the same as the Lalit
I was under the impression I was booking 2 nights at the Lalit Jaipur, instead I somehow got booked at the Lalit "Traveller". While they're under the same roof, the standards are very different. The Lalit Traveller claims to be a 4.5 star hotel, but charges for everything from soap/shampoo to an iron to standard maid service. My room was nice enough; however, my view was of a concrete wall and the shower was one of the worst I've experienced. That being said, you get to experience a lot of the nicer amenities that you would expect out of a Lalit hotel, including a fantastic breakfast, and beautiful pool and gym. The staff was lovely. The location is conveniently located next to the airport, but very little else. Overall, not the worst experience I've ever had, though not at all what you would expect out of this brand name. They've really cheapened themselves with their "Traveller" off-shoot.
Just okay
Not one of the best hotels I’ve been to They charge for everything from toothpaste to comb at the traveller side of the hotel I’ve been to a better place with almost same amount I’ve paid here
Unsatisfactory
Surprised to see staying at 5 star hotel they are charging for shampoo and soap. When made reservation breakfast should be included but at arrival they refused to validate the offer.
not so good, i will not recommend this to my friends, i think this hotel only replays for foreigners
zero if minus is also there i opt that
very bad experience either you stop this hotel otherwise it will spoil the image of THE LALIT.everything is bad staff, room, sevices and with the foriegn guest behavouir is verse. so take care at least our circle never come again and nor we can suggest any one to stay there.
Amazing
Happy and joyful . Service and hospitality was beyond description
no friendly service
Should not be booked from your site. Clients are treated second rated All amenities like, soap, moisturiser etc is chargeable.
Pathetic non-cooperative staff
Don't stay at this hotel. Only brand name is left. Staff is pathetic and non-cooperative. They do not understand the need of the guest. Highly non-recommended.
Great Service, Nice Place
Felt welcome, service was great. Enjoyed having a drink and watching a show in the lagoon courtyard. Charging for wifi seemed like an unnecessary thing to do, but it wasn't a big deal.
its really worth being there
it was really nice staying there
My stay in hotel trident jaipur
They cheated us by showing discounted rate and finally made us to stay in a guest house kind of room... While booking this was not mentioned anywhere
Had a wonderful experience
Indeed a great hotel to stay, Although taxi was expensive but overall a great experience
Rooms and hotel stay was excellent for the given price and best deal by Expedia.
Awesome
Nice hotel, very very courtesies staff. Food at the restaurant was grt. We really liked Murgi biryani. Room was comfortable but a bit claustrophobic as outside the window there was wall so nothing much was visible.
Big hotel big disappointment
Stayed at the Lalit Jaipur for the first time as a foreign traveller based on other reviews.... Their service is extremely poor! Being close to the airport yet they have no transportation to or from the airport! Now here's the worst part. I asked concierge to call me a taxi and he simply wouldn't, instead he gavee number of local can company to call! I asked to set up a tour the next day with the local gov tourism bus(RTDC) the concierge lied and said he had never heard of RTDC. I was given a room next to a conference hall with a noisy party going on until midnight - I wasn't informed this would be happening! Toilet paper - hotel provides you with two sheets an almost empty roll! This is a room that goes for $300 a night! Do you think they could provide at least a full roll? Although this hotel is rated as 4-5 star I wouldn't recommend staying here! There are better places to stay in Jaipur and closer to the city!
Good comfortable stay. Wish check-in was quicker.
Room was not ready on time. Had to wait a long time before they could check us in. That was frustrating as sightseeing plans were spoiled as a result.
Stay away from this hotel
The hotel is a very long way away from the south part of town where the tourist attractions are located, and taking a taxi there takes a very long time due to horrid traffic jams. We ordered in from the Indian restaurant at the hotel--extremely expensive and awful (we eat a lot of good Indian food and one when we taste it!). They charge for shady WiFi by hour. Very disappointing experience. About the only good aspect is the breakfast buffet--very good.
Poor Service
We had a tough time to locate our room in your Hotel. Firstly, we went to the wrong block as no one escorted us to the room. Then when we contacted the ground floor, instead of taking us to the room, we were being guided ;- go here go there............ it was a confusing access with no marking at all. Even on reaching the floor level, we were not able to identify the room location as there were no signages of rooms direction on the floor. We had booked 2 rooms under one ref no. But we were allotted rooms on different floors. Inspite of requests we were not accommodated in adjacent / nearby rooms. Even the room TV was not working properly and the maintenance staff took almost 40 mins to fix it. Although it dint get fixed fully.
my stay in Jaipur
very nice and new hotel. Very good value for money. Service good.
Lalit -- Always excellent
This is the third Lalit hotel I've stayed at ( also Delhi and Kolkata). All hotels are consistently superior in service. Traveler is the economy wing of the Lalit Jaipur hotel. The room was very nicely appointed and clean. A few minor items in disrepair. For the price I paid ($53/night), it was a huge bargain. I would stay there at any time. Common areas are always gleaming areas of luxury. Restaurant is not inexpensive but a good value. Upstairs restaurant -- Balucci -- is pricey but very good. Over all, very nice. Again, superior service at all three Lalit hotels.
Pleasant stay- little bit far from all the places
Very nice..hotel room services was not upto the mark
Good stay
Overall stay was good. They need to give basic thing water as FOC which is trend in hospitality industry. This was missing.
Is near to Airport
Pls tell hotel there is water/ tissue are not svaleble hair dryer also not there After Complaint not Liston
Poor Hotel to saty in Jaipur
It took more than 45 min to check in. Front desk staff was not well trained to attend online booking guests. Room service was was very poor it took more than one and half hour to bring 2 cup coffee.
Nice but expensive hotel
Great hotel and close to the airport (about 3 minutes drive). The rooms and services were 5 star standard. But couldn't help but feel ripped off for extra amenities - restaurant/room service is expensive, surcharge on wifi (not free as stated on hotels.com) and a car to the airport was 650 rupees. The main city is about 13 km away and Amber fort is about 25 km away. Get a rickshaw from outside
This hotel made our trip.
Superbly built and filled with charming staff members who are always there to assist you. They welcome you with Ice Tea and assist you for your booking and other stuff. You will fall in love with the internal view of hotel. Food was awesome specially Bubbly Bento. Hotel really made my holidays awesome.
Stay at Lalit Jaipur
Overall it's a very nice hotel with good big rooms. Very clean and tidy. Was quite happy with the stay. Would definitely recommend !!
superb
It was great.
Beautiful but without free wifi
The hotel is absolutely beautiful! You're met by concierge who park your car for you. Light refreshments as you check in. Really nice rooms. By India prices the food is over priced but does taste nice. Really comfy bed. Huge windows for views of Jaipur. For the night it cost approx £25, which is reasonable for what is describe aso a four star hotel.
Beware of Lalit Vs Lalit Traveller
This is a magnificent hotel to stay in. They seem to have made a slight distinction with the traveller class. The kitchenette does no good since there is no microwave or serving dishes / plates. The beds were uncomfortable. The Traveller class rooms were on a different wing which makes the user feel an outcast even while you pay $100 / night.
Far off; No way 5 star; Beware of "budget" wing!
We booked "Superior Deluxe Room" through Expedia; When we reached there, we were allocated rooms in a adjoining wing, which seemed like a budget wing to the main hotel - there was a sink in the room! Very basic toiletries, and no water pressure in the shower - much worse than most of the budget hotels I every stayed! On the service part, the front desk staff is very rude and confused - the standard approach is to dodge your concern or question to some other department, without caring about resolution. Some of the staff ( one particularly called DIVYA) are very rude, and lack the basic courtesy of conversing on phone. location is a disaster as well - almost 13 Km away from city centre - we had to spend a lot of time and money on commuting, because this is in the middle of nowhere, and all attractions, streets and destinations are far away from here. All in all - this is not a 5 star hotel - better find other options; I am a frequent traveller and this was my second terrible stay at Lalit ( first at Lalit Bangalore) - have pledged NEVER to stay at Lalit again !!
Fraud
How will you feel when you book a 5 star property and are thrown in a 3 star property. Specially when you ate getting so many deals for all 5 stars and a company makes fraud and gives you a 3 star taking benifit of same name. Then after so many calls and complaints they send you a feedback form.
Great Stay
We stayed only one night after staying in a basic hotel with extend family for a wedding. The Lalit was very nice, the Junior Suite was large. Service overall was great, the reception, conceirge and other staff were attentive and responsive. They were very courteous. The only flaw I saw was the exorbitant prices for room service. We ordered a soda and coke, it was INR450/-. Daal and rice for my kids, INR950/-. Overall would highly recommend the property.
Nice hotel but could not handle the rush
The hotel was good, except that people staying at traveller part are at a disadvantage. You are not told anything, but are left to experience it. Though I had booked two rooms it took them an hour to give me a second room, that too after 3 phone calls. Nothing was told to me but I ordered room service and was told that no room service for traveller part. After a few phone calls later, I cud get something . Even your website should contain the right information regarding the room etc. It was my mistake to assume that the room rent includes breakfast. I think there was nothing mentioned on your site either. Positives were that the staff were very courteous, but not efficient.
Comfy beds
Good hotel, comfortable stay
Great Hotel at a great price and excellent service
This is my 3rd stay here at Lalit and I am finally writing a review and that too a good one. That itself should say a lot in terms of my experience staying here. The entire staff is very attentive to a clients need. At first as I checked in, an employee at the front desk "Neet" showed me couple of rooms to pick from. The kitchen staff made me what I wanted, even though it was not on the menu. The upscale restaurant on the 2nd floor was excellent as well. My use of Gym facilities and swimming we're great and a stylist did a great job with my hair cut at a reasonable price. The staff all across is very friendly and helpful in every which way. My next trip will be here again...
