Constructions fumes were horrible!
The hotel was doing some remodeling on our floor and the fumes that were coming through to our room were horrible. Luckily we weren’t in the room much, but when we came back to sleep it was very hard to sleep with the fumes and the headache I know have from it.
Enjoyed my stay at the Knickerbocker Hotel. This was a wonderful hotel with amazing, friendly staff. Great location. Room was very nice, big and clean. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
Kindness and specila members at the hotel
We were staying 3 over night. It was very great experience for me and my wife. All employees are excellent, especially very kind. They have a lot of customers but they are remembered every one. It is so amazing.
Amazing Hotel
Absolutely amazing hotel on a great location! HIGHLY recommend!!
.
Awesome property
Easy lounge/bar at the property. Great location for broadway shows.
Awesome place to stay. Staff was fantastic!!!!! An unbelievable experience!!!! Muchas Gracias
Was perfect for New Years/Times Square
Friendly and always helpful staff. Clean property, easy to walk to Times Square and Broadway shows. Our room was spacious and comfortable which is outstanding for being in Manhattan. Traveled with family and I would stay here again for sure!
Very comfy and quiet stay at The Knickerbocker. We were upgraded to an interior room on the 10th floor and it was the best night’s sleep in NYC I’ve had yet! Beautiful room and bathroom.
From check in the Knickerbocker staff was friendly and accommodating. The aroma when walking in was luxurious, slightly sweet and pleasant as were the staff. I wish I got the name of the wonderful woman that checked me both in and out. I made her aware I was there to celebrate a birthday and she immediately put a request in to have a dessert sent to the room for the following day. The bellman assisted us with our many bags to our room and gave us an in depth tour of our room — including amenities that could have been overlooked had we not had such a comprehensive tour. I booked a deluxe accessible room which was large, clean and had a large tub which was my favorite part of the room. The room service was amazing. Speedy, a bit pricey but worth every penny. You have a few choices between in room dining, the steakhouse and rooftop bar/lounge for small bites. There is a specific elevator that takes you to the rooftop and the hotel is also equipped with a gym that I will be coming back to use. On our way out, we wanted to have brunch and they stored our bags even having checked out for us to be able to go, and enjoy knowing we our belongings were safe and sound with the staff. I can’t thank them enough for a beautiful, warm welcome and an excellent stay. I will be back! - Kaura D.
Great hotel
Everything was perfect. The hotel was perfect location to Bryan park and time square. Staff was amazing and friendly.
Everything was fabulous!
Super fresh hotelrooms!
Great stay! Great service and great location
Knickerbocker rocks!
Check in rep aloof, but everyone else on the amazing!!
Our room was large and well laid out and had a massive bathroom, which was great for a girls trip. The sheets were beautiful and the turn down service was great. They were quick to bring up ice to the room or anything else that we needed the staff, there were extremely helpful and polite and welcoming
Concierge was very helpful
Hotel location was very good. Centrally located close to lots of things. Room was dark and had horrible tiny windows. Rooms are also loud. I could hear guests walking, opening closing doors, elevators. Did not like the vibe of the rooms at all. Blank walls. No mini bar. Very gloomy room, this is NOT a 5 star hotel. Will not stay here again.
Centric hotel! Excellent staff, fast check in and check out. Modern rooms.
Check in was terrible. Room was a bit destroyed and not that clean. Staff was very nice.
Excellent location. Close to all Broadway shows and right in Time Square. Offered an upgrade to a room with an even better view.
The K is located in the HEART of Times Square, which is a fun and noisy and VERY urban/dirty/loud/slightly scary location for tourists to have fun in a crowd of mass confusion all day and all night. If you want that/know that, it's all good the K has VERY secure front doors, so good on them! The room, however, was a little disappointing: - EVERY room has some sort of perfume pumped in through the air vents - I asked, all rooms. - The staff in the arrival area do not interact with you, at all. They are very passive, slightly "sullen" (sorry). Maybe smile/nod, but that's about it. - Even in a VIP room, there were very few horizontal surfaces: there was a "desk" that was about 12" deep, and each bedside was a single 12x12" table and nothing more. We took to storing our pocket stuff on a wall light because it had space. - the shower was GREAT! - weird thing: so there was no coffee maker in the room, but when we asked, it was almost like they EXPECTED us to ask - and it arrived right away. What else should we have asked for? - the TV was a ball of useless - with so much wire behind it, it swung out into the middle of the room! - the bed was good and firm, fitted sheets - ZERO room in the closet, but a sign that you could "store your stuff" with them at no extra charge. If you stay 1 day, maybe ok, but we were there for 3, not good. - surfaces were scratched up, no art, dull colors, meh. We had fun in TS, but this room was for leaving, not a happy place.
We had an excellent time
Central location in midtown..Times Square. Easy to walk around for restaurants.
Excellent location and service
Convenient location, chic ambience, hard mattress!
NA
Our stay at the Knickerbocker was excellent! From the check-in process and friendly supportive staff to the amenities and room quality. The rooms are a great size with fabulous turn down/cleaning service making the stay much more relaxing when needing a recharge. We were a little skeptical of it being located in the heart of Times Square but you rarely hear any noise and the hotel feels like a mini oasis from the hustle just outside. The gym is new feeling and large with great machines and plenty of options, never stepping over anyone to get a workout in. The team is really friendly and helpful with any requests from calling a car to local recommendations. Would highly recommend and definitely return for future stays.
I loved the location! The property was clean. Service was good, except the lobby coffee was gone before 7:30 AM. The design of the rooms is terrible. There is no door to the bathroom. Glass separates the shower and the toilets, and the hallway door enters into the bathroom space. We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and if someone was in the shower, no one could leave the room without exposing the naked person showering to whoever might be in the hallway. People want real doors when they use the toilet. Is it really too expensive for nice hotels to afford walls and doors for bathrooms?
Fine but won’t be back
Hotel was fine. A little run down around the edges. Room had a view of a wall two feet away, a disappointment considering we were in Times Square.
I’ve stayed here a few times. I always receive two free drink coupons to use at the bar, per what Expedia tells me. I didn’t receive it this time. Kind of upset. The bell hop also lost my luggage and it took him a while to find it… on top of that, my keys didn’t work for my room… they did upgrade my room though, which I like the ambiance and the rooftop bar and location.
Beautiful property, spacious room, excellent service, convenient and walkable to many NYC attractions. We’d stay here again!
It’s not worth the money nothing special no value for paying 2k for two nights , front desk was rude
The location and the view
The rooms were good size compared with many NY hotels. They were very clean and well maintained. The location right on Times Square was perfect when seeing Broadway shows. Close to the subway and shopping. If you are wanting to bring in the New Year in NY, this is the location. The hotel has a private roof top patio with several parties to join in on the celebration. Now what makes this hotel special is the staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the bellman, then the front desk staff were friendly and knew just what to say after a long day of traveling. The housekeeping staff were very good at keeping my room clean and comfortable. The room service was fast and the food good. I never waited more than 30 minutes to get a meal delivered. The kitchen obviously had a strong hand in the food quality and the fast delivery. One of the most important services for this hotel is the friendly and knowledgeable concierge staff. The large concierge desk is the first thing in the middle of the lobby that greets you. Although I had been to NY several times over the years, the concierge staff made life so much easier. The restaurant and brunch recommendations were spot on. A last minute lunch meeting was saved when the staff knew I was stressing and made directions simple for me to understand. They included return directions back to the hotel as well. Staying at the Knickerbocker, was like staying at a five star hotel without the fluff or expense. The staff makes the difference.
There were stains on the floor, lampshade was old and scuffed. Room was old and needed lots of attention.
Great Hotel
Amazing Hotel. Well located.
I thought overall it was a great experience. A few minor issues, though they were things like excruciatingly slow elevators and no toilets in lobby which aren’t really the hotels fault so to speak. The room was nice with a few rough edges. Some damage on a mirror for example. The mini fridge also wasn’t plugged in or working which would have been nice. The lobby is clean and swish. One issue is the doormen tend not to open the doors. Often we’re hanging around the reception. Though they were very kind and convivial it would have been nice to of been greeted or a taxi hailed more often. The rooftop bar is very nice. My only other complaint was we booked in to Charlie palmer steak house on Monday, it wasn’t made clear to us when we booked that the restraint itself wasn’t open and it was running a limited lounge menu. Which was nice but I was very excited for my Wagyu! With our limited time in NY we couldn’t rebook to another night which we would have done if we knew. Overall a good lower 5* experience.
Great for the theater
Great location and service, unfortunately no tea and coffee making facilities and uncomfortable pillows!
Perfect location for a Christmas Holiday NYC getaway! Only downside was scaffolding obscuring the full grandeur of this historic hotel. All the hotel staff were excellent and extremely accommodating! A special shout out to Juan at the 4th floor bar for his hard work and conversation during the hectic holiday season.
Convenient location near Times Square in Manhattan. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower was great with plenty of water pressure. It is a 4-star hotel in my opinion.
Very clean and friendly staff.
New favorite NYC Hotel!
Fantastic hotel. Great rooms. Great staff. Incredible location made it easy to walk to everything. The roof top bar is not to be missed!
Excellent staff, everything was amazing
Great hotel!
Little nats were at the Charlie palmer restaurant while we were eating lunch.
dirty, have sexual fluids on bed. Furnitures are broken and damged.
Staff and service was excellent. The rooms had plenty of space and amenities, but no ice or clock.
Great place to stay!! Definitely would stay there again..
Love our stay
Absolutely incredible high end hotel in a great location. We had a fantastic experience.
I enjoyed reading about the hotel’s rich NY history! Loved having the history book in the hotel room. The modern amenities with shades, lights, security in the room were awesome! Staff was friendly and excited about where they work.
La ubicacion del hotel es excelente las camas muy comodas y los baños muy grandes, todo quedaba a cuadras del hotel, lo recomiendo muchisimo
The room was very clean and comfortable the problem is the second day we was asking for few times to clean our room but the house keeper didn’t come to clean it and third day as well we put service buttons few times no one come to clean the room end of up we have to text the hotel personal manager and call the room service asking for clean the room. Another thing I really mad at it’s I forgot a bottle of silver oak red wine in the refrigerator after I am getting in the airplane i remembered it I texted the personal manager said I forgot the wine in the refrigerator at our room please help check it out and they told me there is no wine over there I bought the wine was gonna celebrate New Year’s Eve with my friends but because too crowded everywhere during the New Year’s Eve they didn’t come to our room so I didn’t open the wine and they said they didn’t see the wine there I just feel very disappointed because the people work there are not honest
Service, room amenities.
Amazing hotel
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay! The room was clean and comfortable and even quite quiet considering it’s right in TQ. We easily walked to two shows, Bryant Part and Madame Tussad’s. I would definitely stay here again!
Amazing place. Shame I didn’t know about the Scaffolding in advance of our stay. Other than that I couldn’t fault it. Perfect location for sight seeing and yet still quiet to sleep.
New years vacation
The hotel, staff, location were amazing! Highly recommend. We saw the ball drop just outside of the hotel. From behind the time square.
We stayed for my son’s birthday and we had the best time ever. The views from our room were amazing of Times Square and the service was brilliant. I really recommend this hotel esp over NYE time
Not worth the price
It was an overpriced hotel. Granted it's in the middle of times square but really not worth what they're charging you. Best thing that came out of this hotel was room service
At the heart of Times Square. Beautiful rooms, top notch service.
There was nothing we did not enjoy. Will definitely stay again.
Only good thing about this property is the location, very close to all sights and in prime Times Square location , great restaurants nearby and most things are walking distance. Staff and service however is mediocre, very slow service and check in and check out is chaotic! Staff panic when busy, doesn’t make guests feel welcome. Overall an ok stay
Location fabulous. Concierge & porters excellent. Check in & out staff not great. Bar staff on 4th floor-poor service & didn’t want to be bothered wiping down used tables. House keeping staff-very noisy around service elevators opposite our room 1403, in middle of night every night. Paid extra for a room with a view-meant we could see scaffolding on the facade of the hotel better-so a bit much paying extra for that!!! Asked for a nice room, but got a worse room than last time we stayed here, even though it cost us more this time. The concierge Diana is a gem, remembering us from last time & making us feel very welcome. Loved the breakfast bar, good service & clean. Door men excellent. Location excellent-especially proximity to Subway & Times Square. So overall still excellent & would stay there again, although some issues as stated above.
Great location. Room smelled like cat urine.
From the first moment we arrived, the staff was very helpful. James,Paola,Stephanie and Diana were making sure everything was going well. I highly recomend the Hotel. Only one thing that needs improvement was the breakfast buffet the food was cold.
Decent hotel in a great central location but definitely not a 5 star.
Poor service conversations first couple days. Didn’t care to help me. Dismissive
Excellent stay. The hotel is beautiful and staff is amazing. It was very disappointing that one of our three nights of stay, the entire 4 th floor and top floor were both closed for a private party. That was a selling point to us, but then not able to use it.
Great location, nice property. Would stay again for sure.
Great valet service. Perfect dining restaurant for dinner. Staff was incredible.
We found the property to be a little rough around the edges. Our room was a bit worn and the heating didn’t work right so our daughter was very cold during the night, though we had the heat set at 80 (it felt more like 60s). When we asked for her bed to be set up and extra pillows, the room service was very quick. Service was fast and kind and a highlight, but the property was just fair.
So good so clean hospitality was amazing
We always felt safe. The staff was exceptional and easily accessible at all times. The room size was more than adequate. We will stay there again!
Wonderful location. Friendly staff. Large rooms.
Nice hotel, poor value
Hotel was nice but not for the money you pay. Phones and Wi-Fi were out the entire stay which again no big deal but for the money it's kind of a slap in the face when you want in-room dining or something. Also paid extra for a city view which wasn't a great view but it was what was advertised so I can't complain about that, although would've been nice if there was no scaffolding obstructing part of my view. Nevertheless nice hotel with a lot of history in the heart of times square, definitely not worth the money in my opinion but you pay for convenience. I will say the room service was a 10/10 they were quick and left the room very clean every time, they were like cleaning ninjas.
Great place and convenient location
Excellent location, excellent service
Best Christmas ever
The staff were so kind and fun. Helpful and knew great places to eat at visit and have awesome directions too
The rooms themselves are very nice, but the restaurant & bars do not provide a five star experience. I ditched both after the first night of my trip. Given the additional resort fees and room deposits that are charged on top of your package price, you may find better value elsewhere.
Staff was outstanding, rooms modern and clean.great location.
We had a blast. Everything was convenient. Staff were all friendly. I had the best birthday ever. Can’t wait to come back.
Everything about this location was fantastic. Friendly staff, clean, spacious room, rooftop bar was awesome and centrally located. I didn't experience any noise issues that others mentioned but maybe I was in a different part of the hotel. 10 out of 10 would reccomend and well certainly stay here again.
Fantastic hotel, thoroughly recommend it!
The Knickerbocker was a great choice for us. The staff were all wonderful. Luz at reception went above and beyond for our stay.
Love this hotel!
The shower did not drain well at all, kept flooding,….there was no door for privacy while showering …::this made it interesting having teenagers vacation information with us. We had to make our own privacy curtain entrance into the bathroom out of blankets. I notified the hotel and they said they would send the engineer and no one ever came. Otherwise, it was a decent day. Great location for Times Square.
Love it
This was a great stay, great staff and a great area for walking around.
Staff was so kind. Room was big by NYC standards. The only complaints we had were with the slow elevators. Sometimes 10 people would be waiting for an elevator and the staff would be holding the only open elevator just for the rooftop bar… why treat random bar guests as more important than your actual guests? We also used the car service to leave and it was excellent.
Clean hotel that's centrally located
We really enjoyed our time at The Knickerbocker Hotel. The front desk, concierge staff and housekeeping personnel were all very competent and helpful. The hotel is near Times square so it's convenient while not being directly in the traffic zone. Highly recommend!
Wonderful hotel and location. If we go back we will definitely stay there again. Times Square is amazing!
Great location, professional and friendly staff. It was a busy hotel and at times the elevators took forever
Very nice, new property very close to Time Square. Rooms are comfortable and nicely done.
Amazing experience! Location is amazing, staff are incredible. Roof top bar experience was also amazing! The elevators were a little persnickety but nothing that was inconvenient. Thinking about staying here, i definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed!

Paola checked us in & she is great! This is our second time staying at the Knickerbocker & the service both times has been exceptional! Highly recommend the hotel!
