Lovely all round.

Great stay at this resort. With all the great amenities and activities for the young ones. Very reasonable rates and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

It was fine to stay there, but the bar closes at 9 and there is only really one restaurant, so you can't do much. If you're booking here to save money on staying at Sun City, yet still go there each day, what you save is cancelled out by how much it costs to get in, so for convenience just pay more and stay at Sun City itself (last shuttle back was 10.30 so had a time limit). The staff were great and the rooms were clean, but it's just a lot of hassle commuting and not getting Sun City resident benefits automatically.

Ikke meget value for money.

Hotellet står meget fast på check in kl. 15:00 og ikke et minut før, men da vi kom til værelset 15:15 var rengøringen ikke færdig ! Derefter stod hele rengørings holdet uden for rummet i flere timer ! TV og aircondition var tæt på ingen funktion. Værelse for 4 var med 2 korte sofaer der ikke kan foldes ud. Udsigt til en bunke møg.

Terrible Resort

The room was leaking as it was heavely raining house 10 with 3 bedroom and private pool, The power went off as day before checking out so there was not water for us on the day of check out and the kitchen has too much flies and birds no order at all.the staff they are friendly they are trying but the place is losing its essence as we were going back the second time

The resort was excellent - accommodation perfect (we had everything we needed, it was clean and comfortable) the pool, splash park and spa all top . The staff were conscientious, the kids activities were great. Located close to the Pilansberg with excellent game drive opportunities. Wonderful place for family holiday.

Great Place to Stay!

This was our 4th visit to Kingdom. We stayed in the Villa. Really well appointed and perfect accommodation for 3 adults. Very clean and tidy, quiet, the perfect location for some R & R. Meals and service in the restaurant were great, but need to replenish the breakfast buffet items more regularly. A couple of minor issues: a safe battery and the a/c in the 2nd bedroom, but they were addressed immediately.

Loved the free shuttle to Sun City and the pick up for a game drive to Pilanesberg. Very friendly staff. Pool was green and the shower door couldn't be closed, which caused the floor to flood.

I was not happy with my booking and I had to top up last minute while I was at the venue. I booked a king bed and specified that we 3 meaning myself, husband and my 11 months baby. The room had a Gas bottle inside the room and my baby got sinuses. I called Hotels. com but they did not help at all so we had to top up with more money. I had a black birthday yesterday because of that.

Very easy check in and out with super friendly and helpful staff. Our family unit was clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Unit was cleaned daily. We made use of the family pool in our unit as the larger pool got a bit overcrowded. Lovely place to stay with family and not too long of a drive to get to Pilanesburg or Sun City. Will definitely stay again.

The rooms were spacious and spotless. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

Very friendly staff. We love the openness and that it was quiet. Unit 9 was big. One suggestion, I am not sure about the other units, but we had one person in a wheelchair/walker- how about ramps down to the outside in stead of steps?

The staff could not have been friendlier-from the security guard, cleaning lady, gardeners, reception, convenience store clerk, and restaurant workers. 5 minute drive to Pilanesberg. Great value for money. Our three bedroom chalet was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. This was our second time to stay and would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Kingdom resort so we could go on a safari at the Pilanensburg preserve. Food was good & inexpensive... loved the villa with small pool & BBQ... felt very safe.

Amazing place for young children . We spent 3 days there with our 3 year old. Every day we spent time at the water slides which she absolutely loved. Most times we had the slides to ourselves. The rooms are very nice. They have a generator so you don’t lose power during load shedding. The pool was a little chilly but we had some overcast days during that time. It has a free shuttle to SunCity and is close to the national park where we took our own vehicle in to safari / see the animals. We really enjoyed it as a very family friendly spot.

The property is a great family oriented location. Plenty of entertainment for kids. The property is well maintained, nicely set up for self catering, exactly what we required. The room was a little noisy.

It was a great experience, although the cellphone signal is weak for some carriers and the resort Wi-Fi is not very strong or reliable.

Great place to take kids. Facilities were maintained and perfect for our stay. Office staff were helpful. Workers at the rock wall and trampolines seemed unwilling to perform their assigned tasks. Pool was being cleaned on on Sunday morning until 9am although the swimming pool was intended to be available from 7am, many families were waiting.

Nice resort conveniently located wrt Pilanesberg game reserve and Sun City.

We booked 2 rooms through Hotels.com. When we arrived we were disappointed to learn that they were not next to each other. This a bit of a disappointment. I have one complaint. There was no heating in the unit. The nights went down to 5 or 6 degrees centigrade and the unit was cold. Nevertheless, the resort is well worth staying at. Close to Sun City and the Pilansberg game reserve. Its much cheaper than Sun City. Units are serviced every day (beds made dishes washed). Lovely patio with "braai " - bbq area. I'm sure that in summer when the water areas are open, The Kingdom will be awsom I would highly reccomend The Kingdom

Great African experience!

Lovely short stay. Well appointed chalet. Kids loved available activities. Could hear the lions roaring at night - spectacular! Beautiful night sky!

Safe, relaxing and cosy. Not much to complaining about except the basin being block (water draining out slowly)

Putt putt course covered in weed Splash park - water covered with algae - kids slipping because of that, no supervision at the splash park - extremely intoxicated male walking around - talking to kids and even coming to me to ask for a job with no staff member in sight - very concerning as the safety of the kids are concerned

Good stay, but room for improvement.

Overall we had a good stay. Rooms were spacious. Staff helpful and friendly. But they did have some problems with the room keys and this maybe had some knock-on effects. Tv in the room for the kids didnt work. There was internet, but many spps on our phones seemed to be blocked. All negatives were erased by a wonderful game drive where the guide (Jafhta) went out of his way for us to spot a leopard, and succeeded.

Worst Holiday Ever

Service sucked. Plugs, Air Conditioner, Toilet and Globes all had to be repaired. I think it is ridiculous to take money for a room that is not in rental condition. When we complained on the Friday and the maintenance only arrive on Saturday nite to try sort it out. Worst holiday i have ever had and will never go back ever and do not recommend The Kingdom to anyone.

Enjoyable despite nuisances

We enjoyed our stay and while the place was clean, we left a pizza on the kitchen counter and within minutes, it was infested by ants. There are also a lot cats which tend to be a bit of a nuisance. That said it was enjoyable!

We were so relaxed and comfortable. Staff members were humble and friendly. The place is clean. We are so pleased and thanks for everything.

It was a beautiful and relaxed stay. Lots of activities with wonderful game viewing at the Pilanesburg national park. Would have been lovely to get shower caps though or at least have them sold at the shop inside

Great resort but a lot of attractions were closed due to Covid restrictions that were in effect the day after we arrived. Not the resort’s fault but did put a damper on the vacation.

misleading advertising, somewhat enjoyable.

So the location is great, the facilities are clean and well kept. Not all staff are aligned in terms of service ethics and standards. But the biggest issue is that the pictures and collateral around accommodation type advertised on the Hotels.com website is completely misleading. Expecting a self contained, self catering unit, but instead shoved into separate hotel rooms, with zero self catering facilities. So forced to use restaurant where prices are geared for international travellers. So probably more disappointed with Hotels.com than the facility itself, which merely pushes us towards using other digital platforms.

The units are nicely laid out, beds and comfort level was adequate but not exceptional for a 4☆. One very negative was that the wifi stopped after day1, this affected my ability to work which was very big inconvenience. Did try to fix it, but unfortunate no success. Was still a nice weekend away, kids waterpark was nice too.

Great weekend

Beautiful weekend over all, only very disappointed the resort didn't inform us prior our arrival that there's no shuttle to Sun City due to the control of the number visitors at Sun City and that we need an MVG card to get access.

Perfect getaway for a weekend

Lovely weekend at a great place. The quad biking was a lovely do. And lots of time spent at the pool.

Big improvement

Very good, clean very comfortable accommodation, well tended grounds, excellent staff. On site restraurant has really upped its game, staff attentive, food very good redesigned facility excellent.

I liked the open feeling the resort had, it wasn’t clustered. What shocked me was that it seemed like the bed had bed bugs, telling from some bite marks on our bodies..

If you want something more relaxed other than the crowds of Sun City, this is a great place. Some little details can be upped a little, but the staff were wonderful and we had a great time. Word of caution if you don’t like cats, as the felines are plentiful in the property.

Not a resort at all

Ants, flies, not working air conditioner!!! Management did not address and instead as we were leaving in checkout they then offered breakfast, which they knew we couldn't use as we were leaving, and they knew that their "food" was terrible at the "resort"

I liked the back courtyard area with splash pool and firepit. Bar and Splash World was also good.

The rooms are excellent and the entire resort is well-kept. HOWEVER there is no sound-proofing between the rooms and you can hear every word that is spoken in the adjacent accommodations!

Enjoyed our whole stay And have booked for next year However one criticism is the air conditioning position in the studio villas It’s above the entrance door to the villa so there is no benefit in the sleeping area around the corner Would suggest moving to the sleeping area or perhaps install ceiling fans to help circulate the air

Having been recommended this and then entered in a search for 7 adults this came up in a "Three Bedroom Chalet". Was a bit surprised when I called the property direct to be told that normally they only recommend the "Three Bedroom Chalet" for 6 adults and 2 teenage children as the sleeper couch in the living room is not for an adult. Bit of mis-information in terms of what is on Hotels.com site versus what the property say. On the property site says free breakfast for all but this is not the case despite being again fed this information when you log into the WiFi. Chalet itself was okay, nothing spectacular and a few maintenance issues like clogged drainage. Having the "braai" area on the patio was well received. Complimentary shuttle to Sun City very convenient. Restaurant food and service good.

Oh my God I got the worst experience ever , the staff argue with me a client for hours, no respect for client, I try to explain my situation, they did not help or find a solution as a management staff, they made me get another hotel and pay for it not good with clients. Sorry bad hôtel and people and service .

Enjoyed our stay very much. Positioning is excellent with a shuttle to Sun City every hour. The only negative was the air conditioner that tripped repeatedly.

stay was good, only complaints are: the car cant be parked closed to the room and they don't have staff to help carry luggage. our neighbours were very noisy. The duvets are too small for the size of the beds there. over all a good stay though and would definitely stay there again

Family Suite or Bachelor Pad?

Booked a family suite, expected 2 bedrooms for some reason. Were the kids meant to sleep on the couches? Why only 1 blanket, what bedding must we use for the other couch? Why all the cats around the place? Pity the water park was closed for maintenance...

Amazing!!!!

What a wonderful way to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. There were lots to do with the kids and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and modern and met all our needs. My only regret is that we did not stay longer as this place exceeded our expectation. We are already planning our next stay in November.

Absolutely amazing! Staff was extraordinary! Room was very nice and loved the private patio. Ate at restaurant and drank at bar - both were wonderful! Highly recommended!

Not a bad place to stay

The room was just big enough but a little small. For example, the bathroom was cramped and difficult to navigate, as the doors and shower took up a lot of space. Neither bathroom door closed, which is something they should have picked up after building. The shower brace was also loose, so the entire shower glass wall was a bit shaky. The lights in the bathroom didn't work. I could hear the guests in the other rooms around me pretty easily. But, they were generally respectful and it was relatively quiet. I never got the wifi to work in the common area.

The room was comfortable, well-lit and very spacious. The property has everything you need to fully enjoy and stay at the Kingdom all day. Restaurant meals were fresh and hearty.
