Kind, helpful, friendly staff. We had a 1 bedroom apartment located closest to driveway entrance. Extremely noisy at night with extremely loud music & singing blasting all night long. Yes, it is Bali & you will expect a lot of fun & noise, however, double glazing would be advised for this section. Room was serviced daily & a good job was done, however, this room on level 4 was very outdated & almost looked like a relic from the 1970’s or something. There was an extra guest of ours who had the fold out sofa lounge- this didn’t have a mattress, it was the rock hard leather seating which folded out only. We had laundry service twice which was excellent & priced accordingly. Buffet breakfast had a lot of variety & open from 6am - 10am Thank You
The property is huge so many different people staying there. We had to ask to move from our apartment which was near a road with a thumping nightclub over the road! We were moved to a much quieter room which was fine. There were 3 swimming pools one with a swim up bar ( which we hate) but patrons were allowed to play their own raucous music from the am until 6 pm daily which was super annoying to say the least. There was no peace anywhere during this time - not every day. Many clients were elderly and I’m sure hated it as much as we did. However the staff were terrific all lovely. The food was great and the gardens beautifully maintained. However too many “ yobbo “ type people staying there- annoying My husband had an accident while there and there’s an on site nurse and a Dr was also called. The staff definitely made up for the loud music.
Great place to stay, older resort but has everything you need. Good location and price was great.
Great location. Hotel is looking old and tired requiring some work to be done on it. Ie cracked/ missing bathroom tiles, pavement brocken, main pool needs some attention to tiles and area.
Good hotel.
Location
We woke up at 1am to find our room flooded with toilet water (2cm deep). The toilet was overflowing and everything on the floor was soaked in dirty water. We were forced to pack up to move rooms in the middle of the night. This incident occurred after our toilet got blocked 5 times over the course of a week yet the hotel still claimed it was out of their control. The staff are friendly enough until there’s a problem and then they deny all responsibility. Very disappointing.
Large property, staff excellent, accommodations good.
Very good
Hotel rooms were clean - perhaps not “western” clean. Lots of ants. Booking here very much for the location. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment and there was loud live music every night until midnight so never got much sleep before then. Staff were friendly. Buffet breakfast was average and flies were an issue
The staff are always willing to help with anything and get you whatever you want
Very dated in need of refurbishments
Very hot in November, pool was warm with no shade around all pools. They put on a special day Friday that was fun. Rooms are older and quite dark. Our request for a ground floor room was met. All in all nice pools and grounds on the beach but just not for us.
We loved the hospitality of the staff, always friendly 😀 👏
Great place close to beach and shopping
Room was terrible
Needs some upgrading. Deluxe rooms more like stf. Great beachfront location. Great breakfast n lovely staff but probably wouldn't stay again
We love the jayakarta for its location! It is getting a little old and dated. However the staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay
For such an old resort it is in such good condition, there is an army of workers looking after the place and the guests every need.
Management was amazing to deal with, we had an issue with the room and they attended that issue straight away and resolved the problem quickly
We loved everything about the Jayakarta, definitely coming back with our kids
Great place to stay
Not bad, classic Bali hotel
Very old hotel with large grounds and garden areas. Breakfasts were good, tiles are ridiculously slippery around pool areas, many guests slipping over.
Great location and friendly staff but the place needs a good scrub and refurb
Rooms clean, staff lovely, food good. Dislikes. Needs a good lick of paint etc , large swimming pool exit stainless steel steps horribly to stand on to exit also needs rubber matting as same as swim up bar pool stop slipping and burning feet, No welcome drinks /cool towels on arrival 4 the six of us However our stay was wonderful ..
Lots of building work going on all through the night no hair dryer rooms are dated
Good
My favourite stay in Legian/Seminyak area I have stayed many times The property is a little tired but very clean The staff are very good Love that I walk across road to beach where there are many bars, eateries and live music at sunset
Staff
Bit old but great location
jayakarta is a safe secure resort wonderful staff the rooms are a little old put are very comfortable with air-conditioning to suit 3 great pools to use the room service is hassle free also.
The pool, restaurant and garden areas were beautiful. The music at the pool in the afternoons was fun. I would suggest a bit of an update to the rooms, such as showers, decor, floors and balconies.
The gardens were nice. Breakfast was good. Walking distance to shops restaurants. Everyone was friendly
The property was in a great location. Definitely will stay there again 😀
Pleasant and very happy stay.
Staff were very professional and very friendly and accommodated in our requests and comfort. Resort is clean and comfortable and a great location for shopping and beach.
The exterior of the resort was beautiful. Unfortunately, interior was very date and need a bit of a make over. The bathrooms could do with a good scrub.
Next to beach
Amazing staff. Very clean. Great for kids. Best omelette station!
Staff friendly and helpful, delicious welcome drink on arrival. Perfect location.
We loved our stay second stay at The Jayakarta Resort The grounds were lovely with that tropical Bali style and the 3 pools were well maintained with plenty of sun chairs and poolside service Breakfast was adequate with poolside or beachside restaurants Plenty of dining in options within the hotel but also within walking distance outside either front or beach exits Staff were very friendly. We will definitely be staying here again
Rooms are old and out dated. Our apartment room smelt very bad
There are no safe in room did not like that
2nd stay here I enjoy the easy access to the beach and restaurants a good location
It was good
The hotel is central but does not cater for the elderly THERE ARE NO WALK IN SHOWERS Thus my 85yr old mum had to be washed down next to the basin - a disgrace - rooms very small and NO SHELVES TO UNPACK CLOTHES IN TERRIBLE
Older property that has seen better days. Staff are nice as most Balinese people are. Al a carte food was pretty average however the buffet breakfast was well below expectations; very limited choice and the usual pastries and fruit selections were also below average. If you're a tattooed Australian from the western suburbs, you'll be at home. Just throw your towel on a sunbed every morning at 7 am so no one else has a chance, get on the Bintangs, valium and pseudo and your set.
Location was fantastic
Excellent resort pool room was cleaned and changed daily if required.staff friendly always welcoming.
Great location, close to restaurants and shopping. Staff always friendly
The staff were amazing as was the pool and room. Our shower head was broken and bathroom was a bit old but we would still stay there again
Tiles so slipery and you could add all incluesive to save the people staying with you the trouble of have to worrey about paying the hole time
Really enjoyed our stay
Balinese style property with friendly staff. Right on the beach with plenty of restaurants nearby. Great breakfast.
Very busy during school holidays as expected, the let down was the construction next door to the south where builders are banging all day from 8am to 6pm.
Great location, wonderful staff.
Great location to beach.
Great location for beach, very big place. Room was a little tied, need to be up dated. Not safe getting in to shower. Good pool, breakfast should have another options. Friendly staff and very helpful. Would stay here again.
I loved everything about the Jayakarta. If there was 1 thing i would suggest is that something is done around the pool area to make it not as slippery
This is still a lovely old resort, but is definitely ageing. The rooms are large and comfortable but showing signs of wear. If that’s doesn’t bother you too much ( sometimes mouldy odour, old chipped tiles, towels and accessories getting on a bit ) then everything else is great. The pools and grounds are large and very clean, the rooms maintained well, the staff wonderful. The food is average but plenty of dining options just outside. You get the few loud yahoos but most people there are lovely. It’s a good family budget option in a fantastic spot.
Was a great place to stay and will certainly return
Reception staff very helpful, we had an issue in Perth which may have effected our return flight, Jayakarta very helpful with extension for our stay no problem.
The facilities are good, the breakfast has enough options and the location is great. The rooms are small, dated and mine was mouldy, I wouldn’t stay again because of the rooms. We were with a large group all were very similar at the same standard.
Suited our needs
Very clean Great customer service Nice selection of food for in room dining or at their restaurant or poolside. I enjoyed my stay very much
I have stayed at the Jayakarta before and I think this is by far one of the worst rooms I have stayed at with them. Service was good, staff always nice and friendly but that room was terrible. I won’t stay there again.
We used one of the rooms for day use only before our flight. We were put in an apartment. I was quite shocked to see how old and dated this room was. It was dirty and dark and dingy.
Great location very helpful staff
The apartment that we were allocated was attrocious, with a faulty toilet, bar noise until late at night and no cooking facilities. We chose to move to another room which was better but not perfect.
Love Jayakarta
We love Jayakarta, staff are fantastic, located is amazing. We love the atmosphere and the pools in Jayakarta and always felt say with security at the front and back of resort. We definitely will be back for our 6th time. Cannot wait!
Grounds around need an upgrade aligned with the hotel
Great Location and Nice Clean Room
We had a Great stay we had a Deluxe Room which was close to the pool room very comfortable and clean, Hotel is very close to the beach, The staff where lovely. The location was very good to some good restaurant, great price compared to hotels nearby,
Very old but clean. Pool area poor condition. Buffet breakfast worst I’ve had in Bali.
All good
I really love this place, the staff can’t do enough for you. The only thing I would say is the rooms need updating, this is my 3rd stay over a ten year span and the decor and the rooms I feel need a bit of an upgrade, other than that it’s a beautiful well kept resort in a great position.
The rooms need a total update…the chairs on the balcony are dated and old. The staff very helpful and friendly. Great location, nice gardens, but need more umbrellas by the pool
We upgraded our room to executive suite and paid top dollar the room was magnificent however toilet blocked every day and bedroom was a little warm i was locked out of my room on one occasion as cards wouldn't work i found the reception response hit and miss given whst we were paying per night i expecyrd primo but quite frankly was left disappointed
Good location, close to most things. Staff were very friendly and helpful… but geez the property is old and tired
Great location, dated but very clean rooms and facilities staff helpful and friendly
Location is fantastic, staff are wonderful, property has everything
The Jayakarta Resort and Spa is in a great location. There are many great restaurants nearby on the beach front. Great shopping, money changers, cafe and plenty of Massage places when you exit resort from street front. Rooms are a little tired but comfortable and clean.
Bad sevice poor cleaning of the rooms Mould in bathroom I had to tell the cleaner he forgot to replace towels and bathroom amenities every day No service by the pool Very outdated
I think this is a great value for the money. The facility is older and with that comes dampness in the room/with a slight smell. But that is the only thing I have to say negative. The staff is friendly and always helpful. When I asked for my hot water to be hotter it was handled ASAP. The pool areas are very nice and the location gets an A because it's so close to the beach. I would stay there again without hesitation.
For a hotel this size the gym has the worse equipment on the island. cloudy water comes out the taps and it has a tinge of brown ( unit 4 block i stayed in Feb 2024) as for the breakfast thats ok, used to be better years ago with the servery buffet having mushrooms and tomatoes cook thats stopped. benfit is the places around the hotel that make the experience enjoyable
The hotel is a dated but clean. The staff could ‘t do enough for you . I will definitely stay again at this hotel.
Overall jayakarta is great however some of the snack foods are very poor and unsure the quality of their cocktails have genuine spirits in them. Buffet breakfast is great.
Really disappointed, stayed here a few times before. But now the resort is run down in all aspects unfortunately. Can’t even get the basics like towels, soap etc. A shame really.
.
Just awful! Mouldy and old nothing like the photos only positive is location. Do not recommend
HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
The hotel staff were great… the management not so much.. they were horrible. I paid for my father in law to stay over two weeks. I gave the hotel my CC, my phone number and my email. I pre paid the entire stay. I arranged for him to be able to sign at the restaurant and bar. The last day he was there was New Year’s Eve, at triple the price, he ordered a margarita, while he was relaxing with his drink, hotel manager came up to him and told him that he needed to finish his drink and leave because he had no money. He spent the rest of New Year’s eve in his room without food or drink. Imagine refusing to give a 84 year old man who uses a walker to get around the hotel, any food or drink for the entire day. Especially having per paid his room for the entire stay. I checked him out the next day.
They do not know how to take care of their guests.
The staff and the grounds were maintained including the 3 swimming pools.
Needs a bit of maintenance looking very tired and dated. Did see quite a few rats at breakfast tables in morning and evening staff seem to find it quite amusing.
The location and staff were great. Loved our stay. Breakfast was good. The only negative was the pool was too warm.
Well priced...great garden like surroundings Walking distance to the beach or many restaurants
A must stay resort. Excellent location and everything in 1 place. Go the buffet each night.
If you are on a budget and don’t spend a lot of time at the hotel then it’s great. The rooms are very run down and really need some upgrades. There is no shade around the pool area during the heat of the day and the tiling around the wet areas makes for an accident waiting to happen. We had multiple near misses.
Staff are friendly and polite great position facilities and room in particular and very tired
Staff were friendly around pool tiles were very slippery and super hot breakfast was good
Loved that it was close to the beach Loved the pool area But it is dangerous with wet slippery tiles and heard of a few accidents needs rubber matting all around not just a couple of bits A really nice property
Staff were kind and responsive. Location to shops / bars good. Check-in easy. Grounds well maintained. Room was a long way from the pool area but bed comfy. Despite being a little outdated it was generally good value for money. Breakfast was good.
The Jayakarta Bali | Hotel in Legian | Travala.com
The property like many in Bali is suffering from years of neglect in capital improvements. It is clean but tired. The staff are, on the whole, friendly and attentive. The buffet breakfast is adequate but like the property lacking in inspiration. It is centrally located to the beach, restaurants and shops which is a plus.
