The rooftop bar was the best!
Clean property, friendly staff.
Excellent choice
Very confortable hotel. Very close to train stations and tour buses.
The hotel was amazing and the best location ever!
Excellent hotel and very clean room. Amazing staff and perfect location. I would definitely stay again
We only spent one night here prior to a morning flight out of Rome. We were placed in the 'annex' building which was a few doors down from the hotel. Overall everything was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Getting to the room in the annex building requires an additional key, which they ask that you bring back to the front desk each time you leave (which would be a real pain had we been there more than one night). The bellhop who helped us with our bags was a bit impatient, but overall we had a positive stay.
The best thing about this hotel was the staff / service, who were all excellent; however, be aware of: 1. When booking, ensure the hotel put you into the Independent 'Hotel' and not the Independent 'Suites'. These are two different buildings 20 metres apart, but differ materially. The 'Hotel' is modern and sleek but the 'Suites' are stale and dated. 2. Breakfast - Be careful! If you book to include breakfast and you are placed in the Suites, they then advise you that breakfast is not available to you. You may need to argue this with reception. 3. Breakfast was very poor. Overpriced and inadequate. 4. The Suites have a heavy 'European style' door to the premises, to which reception provides a key; however, this door, straight onto the street, was often left open, allowing access to all, therefore, this was not a secure property. 5. Perhaps because of its proximity to the terminus, there were beggars on the street. Pleasant enough, but intrusive. 6. The 8th floor Terrace Bar was nice, with good views but prices were steep. Expect to pay about €25 for a bottle of beer short and mixer. 7. Good restaurants nearby. I recommend 'La Famiglia' and 'Hosteria La Stazione'. Overall, my family and I had a pleasant stay in Rome, and as you would expect, made the most of the tourist attractions; however, staff apart, this was in spite of, rather than because of the hotel's contribution. I would recommend shopping around for your hotel before deciding on the Independent Hotel / Suites.
Room is too dark and their king size bed is a queen size. The room was clean and renovated. There was strange sewer smell.
I liked that it was walkable distance to the termi station
It is a nice and quiet place with in 20 minute walk from all the crowds. The room is clean and very modern just as I like . The staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our time in this suit. Must have to visit their rooftop it an amazing view especially for the breakfast or the night time life music.
Property was central in Rome and easy to get around from. Staff was friendly and available to assist. Bed was comfortable and overall room was clean and met my needs.
Great location, great service
The location was great, close to Roma termini. The room were in a separate building, renovated, modernized, and clean. The front desk staff were helpful and accommodating. They give complementary snacks and drinks, but if you request to be replenished, you’ll need to pay. The rooftop restaurant has nice views esp during sunset. Only setback, it’s on the pricier side. We’ll definitely go back to this place.
Enjoyed our stay and close to main areas in Rome. but elevator difficult to use as its small and someone with handicap might not be able to use easily. Also, was charged extra for each person after 2 staying in the room which was not desirable.
Good location & good room layout for family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Not far to walk with luggage from the train station. Not far to walk from hop on & hop off bus.
Quick stop in Rome
We arrived early and were accommodated with an early check in and storage of our luggage as we waited until our room was ready at the rooftop bar. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable - the only negative was that we could not control the air conditioner. Location was within walking distance to the train station for our early departure. I would stay here again.
Good location
Near to the main train station ease of commuting
Close to train station and lovely staff. The room was very comfortable. Liked having the large shower.
The downfall is it’s just down the street from the independent hotel where you have to go check in. Neighbourhood at night is a bit dirty but it’s what you expect close to the station. The hotel is well kept though very clean and nice staff. They also had a big tv which was a bonus at night. Great stay overall we only had one night but would have stayed longer.
Amazing property!
Our room was beautiful, the staff is amazing, taking care of all our needs, the rooftop bar is wonderful!!!
Convenient location
Very nice and clean. Conveniently located close to the termini (train station). Very helpful staff!
Amazing!
What a great experience! Will definitely stay here again! Very nice staff 😁
Freshly remodeled. Good location. Front desk staff and housekeeping were top notch.
Like the place it’s nice and everything is almost perfect! Just put a coffee table and chairs especially in the bathroom, other than that everything is fine.
We have issue with the room the first day of arrival; bathroom ceiling looks like has mold and since my son has asthma we brought the problem to the hotel right away. The manager came to the room and showed him the issue; he said it's not going to be a problem plus his maintenance guy is not around until Sunday -- he thinks it will not be an issue at all. After our conversation, the manager left the room and we went out for dinner; then my son went back to the room to grab stuff and he saw the maintenance guy in the room fixing the ceiling; he was actually surprised seeing my son; my son asked him and the guy called the front desk reception to speak to my son. The front desk said he was there to fix the ceiling. I brought the issue again to the manager and asked him if there's a miscommunication between him and his staff -- this time his statement changed and he said he wants to take care of the problem right away - but his action was a bit impolite The room has strong smell after the maintenance guy applied something to the ceiling. I'm frustrated esp I already talked to the manager in the first place but after that there's a miscommunication with his staff and changing his statement. I'm also upset that I placed the DO NOT DISTURB sign for anyone that can just go to our room without our permission
Great experience just one setback.
The overall stay was amazing! Woul definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Rome. The only issue I had was that brown water (sewage water) came out of the bidet in one of the bathrooms. It didn't affect our stay in anyway but seeing that was pretty disgusting. Besides that the stay was amazing.
good location ffor travellers. We stayed at the suites next to the hotel.
Room walls were thin, and can really hear the neighbours.
Great Location..
This was a really great location for my party. Close to the train stations and activities near by as well.
Great sunset view
Nice friendly staff. Beautiful view of city from the top of the hotel. Very close to train station.
First room we checked in had a raw sewer odor. We were moved to another floor. The room was fine, but not clean. Long hair on the towels, in bed, and on the floor. Towels had a musky odor. We complained, and had a long discussion with the manager who promised to be more diligent. Nothing changed.
Family getaway
The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had great water pressure. The room was very clean and very close to Termini train station. The 8th floor hotel rooftop terasse has great views of the city. The reception staff very nice.
Helpful staff, great resources and location.
The staff was very helpful and responsive over email prior to our arrival, assisting us in booking a car from the airport on a difficult to book day. We were able to leave our baggage on site during a brief trip to Paris with no problem. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, especially Filippo up in the 360 bar/restaurant. This hotel has great amenities (umbrellas, sundries, breakfast available, room service) not to mention awesome location near Termini but still quiet and private feeling. They gave us an upgraded room (large king bed, bathtub, tons of space) in the main hotel when we arrived!
Great! Free upgrade without even having to ask for it.
Away from major city sites
Room was nice but bathroom vanity had no room for practical use and there was not closet to hang clothes. Staff was very nice. We thought we were getting a regular room but were given a apartment down the street from main building. The room was nice but not what we thought we signed up for (it was through a third party so that may have been the problem).
Solo stay
The suites are great private and right next door to the main hotel. I love how quiet it is and you can still use the roof deck and bar.
Best deal
It's a best up quality suites. Best value for money in annex building of independent hotel.
Chic, Modern Hotel in perfect location!
Chic, modern, and well thought out! You get a cell phone to use during your stay. One of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at in Italy, France or the United States!
Train station hotel
The staff was wonderful, caring and very helpful. Great people work at this hotel. Negatives Is that the bed was very hard and the square footage of the room very small. The room size did not matter in the long run because we did not spend much time in it. But the hardness of the bed yes.
Convenient but small room
The hotel is very convenient and only a short walk to the main station. We checked in at the lobby but had to walk up the road to a separate building to our room. The lift there was tiny and there was virtually no security in this building. We didn't know the area well but it did not feel like a safe area. The room itself was small but clean and stocked with a free mini bar. Staff were polite and helpful.
Good location and friendly staff
Hotel was in a very good location near to the main station and walking distance to pretty much everywhere but also close to metro. Downside was we were in the suites a few doors up from the main hotel. The room was very small but clean and good bathroom. The curtains didn't close fully!! The hotel staff didn't seem to understand why this was an issue - there was a blind but you couldn't close that from inside as the window didn't fully open. They closed the blind the first night when we mentioned it but never again after that and we just got used to the light in the room after that so didn't ask again. It was a bit strange though!
Close to train station, small room
I chose this room for a couple of main reasons. 1) Proximity to train station, this being our first trip to Rome. And 2) Rooms looked very large in all photos I saw and reviews I read. We booked a room in the Independent Suites annex to the main hotel and I assumed this would be a suite in earnest. It was not. It was indeed a very small room and by no stretch of the imagination was it a suite. All of the photos I had seen and the reviews I had consulted presented large rooms. This annex section of the hotel was undergoing some renovation, which we were not notified of, and I suspect they had divided these "suites" into smaller rooms. I'm not sure I would have booked this hotel if I had known. Also, choice of decor in the bathroom was not the best. The large sink (good) had no counter space (not good). I could not keep my bathroom toiletries from constantly falling into the sink. There was a vanity area outside of the bathroom, but there was not an outlet available there. The water pressure was so weak that when trying to use the overhead shower instead of the hand held device, it would not stay on! It was impossible to get a full shower without constantly pressing the button to turn on the overhead shower head. There was free water and a few complimentary soda items in the mini bar which is appreciated, though the mini fridge emitted a bad odor. The best thing about this room was that it was very quiet, as it was not facing the street. Clean and bed was fine.
Nice hotel close to station
Lovely welcome and service from manager and reception staff. The manager upgraded us into a double room for a resisted price which was lovely. Very friendly receptionists and great tips about an excellent local restaurant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The area is not very salubrious being near the station, but the location was very convenient for transport into Rome and around Rome. There was an issue with the drainage from the shower meaning that there was a constant bad smell from the bathroom which was very offputting! Also the hot water from the shower was sporadic and short lived, making it necessary to shower within 4 minutes, which is probably better for the planet anyway. Overall the service was excellent but because of the shower issues and the location I could not recommend this hotel.
Excellent Hotel Near Termini Train Station
Clean room, modern design, five minute walk to Termini train station and subway, five minute walk to large supermarket. Friendly, helpful staff. Availability of ice even if in main building.
Located near termini
Room was clean and comfortable. Very small no where near the 42m2 advertised. Standard double not king sized bed as advertised. Located away from the main hotel just steps down the street in an apartment block. Wouldn't have felt safe if traveling solo - as some strange people hanging around. Area around termini full of pick pockets so be aware of your surroundings. Modern clean room, overall ok stay. One of the female receptionists who checked us in was very rude, rest were lovely.
Clean and nice location
Very clean, good location, pleasant staff, rooftop bar in the hotel just a few feet away with a beautiful view. Right next to a major metro stop and one can take trains to anywhere from there including the cruise port. Only minor complaint, the internet was a bit slower than compared to the actual hotel.
Brilliant staffspacious and charming room
I stayed here with my son for two nights in a trip to Rome. The staff were fantastic, organising brilliant guide ( Francesco) and recommending excellent and reasonably priced local restaurants. Lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast and evening drinks.
Great stay, the location was quieter than most and staff was very helpful with dinner recommendation and a room upgrade. Thanks for the enjoyable night in Rome.
Good hotel
Wonderful hotel staff in a great location!! Great shower!! Room size is relatively small.
Not the best part of town.
This is close to the train terminal but it's more of the city part rather than the interesting areas that you normally would want. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel as it is a busy boulevard. Our room was three or four buildings way so if you need the desk help, you have to go out side, walk through a little cheesy area, to get back to the desk. Room was nice. But we felt like we were in an apartment building more than a hotel. Upstairs bar patio is nice.
Nice cosy hotel, more like a B&B, very comfortable
Very nice room, lots of space, kitchen and laundry. Recently renovated bathroom. AC worked very well and came in handy after a hot day. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
Hotel review
We had a family wedding in Borgo de Tragliata and only spent one night in Rome city before our flight home, so couldn't really comment on the neighbourhood, but were very happy with the location, service etc
The staff were very kind and the view at the roof garden was amazing.
Fantastic sky bar
Would recommend to anyone wanting to be close to everything. 2 mins from where airport bus drops you and 2 mins from station. Nearly didn't book as reviews said dodgy area. But it's absolutely not. We ( myself, husband and 20 year old daughter) did not find any problem.
Lovely hotel, central location
Very helpful staff, made our stay in Rome more relaxing. Our room wasn't a part of the main hotel and was a short walk down the road in a separate building. Room was large and spacious, however would have preferred a room in the actual hotel. Can't fault our experience one bit.
Strange Hotel
Not a good stay for us. This hotel has a separate block where we stayed. Totally disconnected from the hotel itself. We had to walk down the road to get into the hotel, not far but irritating. The lift failed, with us in it, and there was no way we could contact the hotel. The alarm simply rang, for half an hour, and guests had to help us. We had no water pressure in the room on two of our 5 days in the morning. Staff at breakfast were very nice and helpful. We were very close to the station (and Metro) which was useful with a couple of excellent restaurants nearby. Enjoyed the holiday (in Rome why wouldn't you) but I'd never use this hotel again.
Central Roma Hotel
Very clean and safe Rome Hotel. Staff service excellent and rooms of a high standard. Bathrooms and services excellent. Clean and great location for most of Rome activities.
Would not return
"Lobby" is a hallway off street entrance with a check in desk. Were given our keycard and just told to go to our room. No one took us or explained the room. If we had not previously stayed at a hotel that required your keycard to turn on electricity (lights and AC!), it would have been confusing. Our requested walking directions from Roma Termini were "exit Via Marsala door and follow to Via Volturno. Very easy." It would have been easier to know whether to go right or left on Via Marsala and that Via Volturno is not a cross street. Restaurant was recommended by hotel clerk and was the worse of our trip. I think she must receive a kick back by recommending restaurant as she was aware of our experience before we even returned to hotel.
Wonderful hotwl next to Termini
We stayed in the Independent Suites which is an annex just a few doors down from the Independent Hotel. The location is very convenient to Termini (literally less than a 5 minute walk). The room was wonderful - modern, clean and comfortable. It felt like an oasis in what is not the best area (being right next to a train station). We will definitely stay there again if we need to stay right next to Termini.
Great Hotel with Amazing Rooftop!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. We requested a room with balcony few weeks before our stay and it was granted when we arrived at the hotel. It has very helpful and hospitable staff! They gave us maps and directions to guide us around rome. Also the staff were very helpful in terms of booking a table to any restaurants you wish to go to. The hotel provided delicious breakfast and the bonus is its located at the rooftop so while eating, you could also enjoy the amazing view of rome. At night, this area turns to a bar and restaurant. My boyfriend and I had few cocktails which was great and the bartender gave us any shot of alcohol for free. The place have a very nice ambience! Really enjoyed that night! In terms of the room, it has very comfy bed and modern look to it. Almost all attractions are walking distance (15-40minutes) except the vatican (need to take metro). Would love to stay at The Independent Hotel again when we come back to Rome!
Nice Hotel convenient to Termini Station
Although this hotel is not located in a particularly nice looking area, and the lobby and other public areas are nothing special, it is very convenient to Termini Station, and the hotel room itself ( we stayed in their annex building) was really very lovely- high quality completely, and very spacious by European standards. A very comfortable bed, plenty of nice pillows, a couch, a very nice, clean and modern bathroom with an excellent shower, and nice amenities ( mini bar, coffee and tea, etc). The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Lovely romantic getaway
This was our first visit to Italy. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful from the receptionists to the breakfast staff. Juan Carlos never failed to greet us with a genuine smile and a buongiourno on the roof terrace every morning no matter how busy it was! The room was exactly how the hotel's official website photographs portrayed it to be. Lovely modern furnishings and generous space considering we had changed chosen a standard room. I consider myself to be a very fussy person and I can't complain about anything at all about our stay in this hotel. It's location is a 2/3 minute walk from the Termini station which is in perfect proximity for all of the touristy destinations which were only a few stops away. I would definitely recommend it to any couples who want a quiet romantic city break!
Fabulous hotel in a fabulous city.
Booked this hotel for 5 nights for our 30th wedding anniversary. I contacted the hotel, on booking, for a room with a balcony. Although they couldn't promise then, when we arrived they had arranged a fabulous room overlooking the city with balcony. This really made our stay all the more enjoyable. All the staff were extremely friendly, and made us feel welcome. Rooms very modern with all amenities. The breakfast on the roof terrace was a fantastic bonus. Location excellent for the coach from the airport, but a bit of a walk to the sights. However, for us this was perfect as it enabled us to explore the city each day. Loved every minute of it!!
Great for Rome Break
Hotel close to the shuttle bus stop and the Termini. Breakfast was lovely on the roof top terrace. Rooms modern and large and hotel also upgraded our room to a superior for free on arrival. If I return to Rome I would book this hotel again.
very close to the central station
very close to the central station but the elevator is too simple

The location is excellent, the staffs are friendly and helpful. The quad room is big enough for 4 of us to share, however there was only 1 chair in the room. The TV was placed on the dressing table that was odd. The bath room was clean but no cupboard/shelf / hooks for you to put your personal stuffs.
everything was great. location
everything was great. location was only 2minute from the termini station. and easy to get. staff was great, even though I asked hot water at very late night he smiled me always. I asked to book taxi service at 5:00am. The staff checked that 2~3times. That looked like very motivate staff.

Great location - close to Termini
Great location - close to Termini and even though I arrived at 11.30pm - travelling alone - had no concerns walking there as there were lots of people out and about. Very friendly welcome and room large with basic facilities and airconditioning - flat screen TV. Good breakfast included and all staff friendly and helpful.
simple, but neat

Hotel Bianca is a basic hotel
Hotel Bianca is a basic hotel that feels more like an old fashioned guest house with its quaint breakfast room. It was clean with adequate facilities and in an excellent location, just across the road from the Central railway station. There is a metro station nearby also. We discovered that after walking a few blocks down Via Nazionale from Piazza della Repubblica, a block away, we were within walking distance of a great many historic sites that we were interested in visiting. There was a great pizza shop about 10 metres from the front door and a few basic cafe/restaurant places further along Via Marsala adjacent to the station.

Wow, this place is a 5 star with a 2 star price tag. Fantastic king size bed, mini bar, beautiful modern decor. Little further than originally told but worth it. Would recomend this to anyone and if we say again we will be staying here.
