Very nice and comfortable
Top location for Copenhagen
I had a very nice stay at this hotel. Room was small but well designed and very practical; perhaps they could have closed the shower corner with a glass door since water goes a bit everywhere but it was no big deal. I didn’t have breakfast there but buffet looked fairly generous when I took a peek. Location is the real plus: close to everything by an easy walk, few steps away from the sea / canals and close to metro.
Everything about the hotel was perfect. Especially the staff. Extremely close to everything.
Great location nice room
Great location, very comfortable rooms!
We arrived to a free upgrade which was a real bonus! Staff were all absolutely lovely and held our luggage for us before our late flight. Metro line only 7 mins walk away and fabulous location near the water. Would definitely recommend
Lovely staff, very comfortable room with very modern ensuite. Excellent breakfast we really enjoyed. Thank you
.
Breakfast buffet was incredible. Room was not big by US standards but was very well appointed. Location second to none, and this hotel offered a very good value.
The room was spacious. There was a bottle of alcohol under the bed from the previous guest. Bed was comfortable. The restaurant was amazing and best part of the trip. The front desk did not inform me about parking requirements, so they ticketed me when I left my car at what I thought was the front drop off (over $130).
It was great
Really good hotel, only disadvantage was no heating in room
Great property in a terrific location. Close to metro and in a very walkable area. Rooms slightly small but clean and elegant.
It was great - clean, well located and staff were friendly. I’d definitely stay there again!
The Huxley was the perfect place to stay for our Copenhagen trip! It’s less than a 5 minute walk to Nyhavn and tons of restaurants, walking distance to most other attractions in the area, and also very clean and quiet. The staff are all very pleasant and happy to give some great recommendations for the area! I would definitely stay at the Huxley again and hope to in the future!
The Huxley
Wonderful boutique hotel with fabulous staff. We were steps away from Nyhavn and from Christianborg, so a perfect location.
Staff was wonderful, clean and quiet room!
Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel! Room was small but exactly what we needed, and we loved that the bathroom had a shower and bath. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and the pillows were as well, so that’s the only thing keeping this from a rave 5 star review!
We only got to stay for 1 night but thought the staff and Hotel were wonderful! The only drawback would be the size of the bathroom & sink - It's really 1/2 a sink, so tiny you couldn't really wash your face without either hitting your head on the shelf just above or spilling water all over the floor. The other detraction was early morning construction next door. Drilling, a screeching sander & hammering starting at about 7:00a? BUT, despite these couple of things, we really enjoyed staying at the property and would definitely recommend. Great area for walking & lots to see!
Very clean and comfortable hotel close to nyhavn but far enough away to be quiet.
This is a lovely, quiet hotel on a mostly residential street 1 block off the canal and a few blocks from busy NyHaven. We had stayed in the area before, but this was our first time at this hotel. Very positive experience. We would stay here again.
Property in great location
Hotel and room were well located, clean and safe. Staff was quite friendly. Gave us an upgraded room on the top floor. Price point was high for what the hotel was - paying for location. Facilities were lacking - very surprised there was no fitness facility - or agreement w a local nearby facility - would be an expectation of a hotel at this price point and star rating.
Overall, my stay was excellent. The hotel is clean and well run. The staff is very helpful. There is one serious flaw that made the stay less comfortable: the extremely small room. The space between the bed and the wall was narrow and there was a half-wall between the entry and the bed. I hit myself on this half wall several times. The bathroom sink had a shelf above it and between the small size of the sink and the shelf, it was awkward to use. I had no other issues with the hotel and the location was excellent.
Great location, modern, good value
Lovely hotel. Located exactly where you want to be - but on a quiet street
Staff was very accommodating
With no air conditioning it was necessary to have the window open and it was noisy
Good ubication
For where it’s located, expensive. They also assured me this has never happened to anyone else before but heads up that the parkade they have an arrangement with has multiple locations so, to help anyone in the future, double/triple check you’re at the right one. Staff had a weird attitude about the whole thing (offered to pay out of her own pocket for the 600 kr extra I was charged in parking and took the whole thing weirdly personally)
I had a wonderful five night stay at The Huxley thanks to the staff truly going out of their way to accommodate my needs. I had requested an early check in if possible because my plane was landing in the early morning, truly not expecting my room to be ready when I got to the hotel at 8:45am (check in is at 3:00pm). However, staff informed me that my room was indeed ready early, which was a wonderful way to start my holiday after such a long travelling day and allowing me to drop my bags and freshen up before going out into the city and exploring. The staff also called in maintenance right away when I informed them there was a strange mechanical buzzing sound I could hear from room, which fixed the problem swiftly. The room and property as a whole was incredibly clean and I loved the modern design of the spacious room I booked. My room looked out over the inner courtyard, which made it very quiet at night. Free items from the mini bar (in the room type I booked) was greatly appreciated after long days walking around Copenhagen, and also provided space to store any food items I bought like milk for my tea or light snacks to save for later. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had tonnes of different options - from scrambled eggs to smoked salmon to pastries to fruit and veg and more! The front desk staff was also very knowledgeable about local attractions and could help arrange travel plans if needed. Excellent service and excellent hotel.
The hotel staff is awesome!! I am quite impressed! Thanks for your help!
Great everything, but the staff and the breakfast were two things that stood out! I would not hesitate to stay there again!!
Small Room - no air conditioning. The place was very clean and the staff were very nice.
Nice Staff
Great location, very helpful and friendly staff, and offered an excellent breakfast (at additional cost). I would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend it to other travelers.
We stayed here 5 days and thought it was very clean , the front desk staff were great and it was an easy walk to most places we wanted to see. It is close to Nyhavn which was fun. A number of good restaurants within a 15 minute walk. Received some good suggestions from the staff.would definitely stay again.
Lovely hotel
Brilliant
Huxley gem
Bed was comfy, bathroom and shower were fresh and everything was clean. It was a warm evening so had to open the window, which let a lot of noises in. Duvet was way too hot. Breakfast was great and all the people we felt with were very friendly and helpful. Huxley hotel bikes were in good shape and we rode them throughout the entire city though they were $20 and had big Huxley advert
The hotel is well situated and within walking distance from restaurants, shopping, the waterfront, and public transportation.
.
Great stay
Nice, clean, comfortable room. Great staff, great breakfast. Close to canal and NyHavn.
Staff was amazing! So friendly & accommodating. Rooms were very clean, but warm. Opened window & they provided fans, but next building over was doing construction so it was quite dusty. Other than that, this hotel, staff & facilities were excellent!
Loved this hotel. It is modern, clean, quiet and the staff were really friendly. The quality of the breakfast is really high. It’s really central with easy access to everything in the town centre. Thank you.
Wonderful location about 4 blocks from Nyhavn, and parking garage.
Had an excellent stay at this hotel. Was very close to the 4 metro lines to get anywhere in the city. Staff was extremely nice and the room was very clean and with plenty of space.
The property located on a quiet street. Reception staff is very friendly and accommodating. Umbrellas and bikes at the property are very useful. We asked if a particular museum was open and the front desk person called for us to confirm and said that we do not need a cab because it was just around the corner. Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable. We would stay here again!
Close to tourist areas
Great Comfortable Central Hotel
The Huxley was a great stay. We wanted something in the 4* range and The Huxley was very well priced at just over £100 a night. Upon arrival, the outside of the hotel was welcoming, as was the lobby. The receptionists were great and very helpful throughout our stay. Lifts are small and a bit old, same with the corridors, they seem tired. However, the main thing is, the room is great. Very clean, comfortable and all the amenities you’d expect. Location was great too, close to the main streets but also close to other lovely areas of Copenhagen too. Would definitely recommend and we’ll stay again when back in Copenhagen.
There is building going on right next door. Feels like they’re hammering into your soul. The Huxley really need to inform guests about this prior to check in.
Ideal location to transit and attractions
Was my favorite stay on my trip to Europe. Great location, clean, and spacious room. Overall a wonderful property.
excellent and clean
excellent clean and friendly hotel in a great location,
Less than 10mins walk to the metro station. Under 30mins from the airport to the hotel door to door. The room is not big for 3 of us (2 adults and 1 child). That's the only minor complaint. Very clean and modern design. The beding is very comfortable. All the staff are very polite and friendly. Highly recommended.
Good hotel breakfast was average
Lovely boutique hotel in great location
Can’t fault this hotel. Friendly staff with excellent service. Great central location. Lovely well appointed rooms and nice breakfast thrown in as part of the deal. You will not be disappointed…..
Great location
Great location and easy to walk to main square with lots of shops. Room was nice, clean and quiet.
Well located friendly hotel in heart of Copenhagen
Enjoyed our stay at the Huxley - which was steps away from the center of town and lovely Christmas market. A very comfortable bed but the room was small for our family of three. Hotel staff were kind, welcoming and helpful.
It was a lovely stay and we were impressed by the staff and the level of comfort. Great base and location for enjoying Copenhagen
Great stay at this hotel. Staff brilliant and happy to help with any requests. Really good breakfast selection and easily walkable/central location. 5 min walk to nearest Metro stop. Would definitely return to this hotel
Great location, short walk to the Nyhavn sights and restaurants. Staff and food service were fine. Room was very small. Comfortable bed, but up against a wall and awkward for two to access. Chief complaint: shower is open to the bathroom. Everything gets wet and water tracks into the room.
Great hotel!
My second visit to this hotel and it did not disappoint. It has been updated since my last visit and I was very happy with my room. I would not hesitate to recommend the Huxley and hope I have occasion to come back again soon.
Close to the canal gorgeous decor and fruendly, intelligent and helpful staff. Nice cozy bar.
I would have given it 5 star all the way but there was no air conditioning in the hotel. It’s a warm weather when we were in Copenhagen and the hotel can only provide electric fan.
The staff and the manager at the reception desk are friendly and provided great customer experience! Special thanks to Eva Grimsehl (General Manager) and Tobias Bundgaard (Front Office Manager) for taking care of our group while at Huxley!
Like the location. A bit expensive.
Great hotel but some street party noise.
Lovely hotel but too noisy!
The hotel is nicely situated a short walk to Nyhavn. The breakfast is superb with a small but very tasty cooked selection and a lovely selection of cold meats and fruit etc to suit all tastes. We booked a king sized bed which was comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a very good shower. The ‘negatives’ for me was there was no air con, which meant we had to open the Window, which therefore let in the outside noise, which wasn’t anything too loud or late, but it would have been nice to close that noise out by leaving the windows shut. Secondly the walls are just far too thin meaning we could hear one neighbour singing in his shower and the other having an argument! Not ideal for an romantic weekend away for a wedding anniversary. I actually liked the hotel, the staff were lovely, but for me the disappointment was the thinness of the walls.
Beautiful modern hotel room - we loved our stay.
Lovely boutique hotel close to the canal and other sights in Copenhagen. The metro was a little bit of a walk but we were able to manage even with suitcases.
We had an amazing stay. The location was quiet and away from the busyness, but just a 2 minute walk to the canal and Nyhavn. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was so kind and helpful. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We loved the food, architecture, and all the historical sites. We’d love to come back one day,
The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly!
Very good.
Lovely hotel in a great location with super friendly staff and a decent breakfast. The reason I gave it 4/5 is that there is no a/c (although a fan is provided), there is no other storage save for a wardrobe so no drawers to put other clothes which are not in hanger, the bathroom beautiful but the show screen very short so the bathroom is saturated when showering and one day the housekeeping clearly got distracted and after making the beds then left leaving dirty coffee cups, didn’t replace water or tea/coffee and didn’t empty bins. Overall very good through and the location makes it so would stay again.
The Huxley is a brilliant property in the heart of Copenhagen. It is a bit overpriced (as Denmark is expensive) but it has an amazing location near all the action. It is a very quiet street and the staff were excellent. I will definitely stay here again and we would rate it 5/5 on just about every category. Well done Huxley!
Modern, stylish & friendly in an incredible location. Rooms are small for the money but cleverly designed, everything expected and carefully done. Would highly recommend - travel professional.
Nice and quiet. Easily walkable to all sites. Very clean. Modern. Two things to note for NA travellers: no air conditioning (but the windows open) and European shower (no curtain). For the location and price and all the other pluses, we’d come back again!
Cute little boutique hotel in the heart of Copenhagen. Easy free street parking, even for a 12-seat van!
The staff is very friendly and helpful.. good location. Nice and clean place
Safe, clean, quiet and in a central location - all good
The property was clean and in a great location. However, my room, and in particular my bathroom, were tiny. Like a 2’x2’ shower space with no separation from the rest of the (tiny) bathroom so it felt like I was showering in the whole bathroom. The front desk person seemed to have a number of responsibilities so was not super responsive (or even at the front desk most of the time of my stay).
It was a perfect hotel for one night stay before my early flight!
Удобное расположение
Стильный и аккуратный отель. Очень удобно расположен относительно достопримечательностей, все в пешей доступности. Комната тесновата для троих и раздражала стеклянная дверь в туалет, расположенная напротив кровати.
The property is located in a great centralized area to the city. My wife and I had a great experience because the staff was so nice and accommodating.
It was a great stay
Very helpful and friendly staff!
Amazing
Amazing and clean
The room was a good size and very well appointed. The bathroom was excellent with very welcome underfloor heating. The Danish design furniture was pleasing to the eye and the chairs surprisingly comfortable. All the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was of a very good quality and reasonably priced compared to other options in the area. There was plenty of choice and freshly cooked omlets were available.
Best scrambled eggs,
From the friendly staff, to the comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast and excellent location, this is my second stay, and would definitely stay here again. Easy to get to from the station, walkable to most sights, tivoli, nyhavn, botanical gardens, Christianhavn. Breakfast is the best. Staff at reception are very helpful. No restaurant. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance.
Check-in was great. Wonderful location.
Excellent hotel!
Beautiful hotel and so centrally located! It's within walking distance of so many of the main sights! Highly recommended!!
Very nice place modern and cozy, great service and awesome breakfast and a wonderful location.
Amazing service! Thank you from Canada!!
Close to train station and shopping/dining/entertainment area.
Everything was perfect. A great value too!
Surprisingly positive
Only negative thing for me was that I didn’t like the pillows. But I’m hard to please in that area😊 It was a very positive surprise staying at th Huxley
Was a nice stay
Nicely designed hotel with comfortable rooms showcasing Danish design. Very friendly staff. The room we stayed in (Business Room) was a reasonable size for a couple of nights stay. One annoying design flaw was the shower which was impossible to use without water soaking the bathroom floor.
Fabulous hotel
Lovely niche hotel, great location, very clean and comfortable. No evening dinner service but so close to the Nyhaven district that it want an issue. Would definitely stay again.
Everything about the property was perfect! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and location is excellent- very convenient to many sites, shopping and transportation

Small rooms
We booked the business room. The room was really tight. I would suggest not to book the specific type of room.
