The location was amazing, so much wildlife to spot! It is remote though so we had to taxi everywhere. Nice pool area. The staff were very friendly in the dining area. The rooms although large needed updating, especially the bathrooms.

Surrounding and the pool were very nice. The property need to be maintained better. The area around should be cleaned.

Nice place away fro the city.

Indeed a haven to rest, relax, connect with family and friends. Morning walks around the lakes, swimming in the luxurious infinity pool and the warm jacuzzi to relax .. a great way to chill ! The hotel apartment we stayed in gave us opportunity to connect with family. Will be a great place for company, church or religious retreats.. in a restful and clean environment

Quiet location, excellent place for a retreat to rest and relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Transport is a little difficult Grabbing around everywhere solves the issue. Perfect if you're looking to just relax and recharge for a few days.

This is not a 4 or 5 star hotel . It is over rated. I give 3 star only . I booked a 3 bedroom, 3 bathrooms suite with the kitchen for 5 persons . It has only 4 plates & 4 cups provided . No utensils, no pot , no pan. Overall I won’t say the unit is cleaned . The quality of the care products do not meet the 4 star hotel standard. The water not hot enough and we cannot adjust it. Very disappointed

It is overall ok .. I expected the bedrooms to be bigger and the second bathroom is very small with no hair dryer .. there is no plates to be found.. there is a stove but no pots and pans , so not sure what it is for. There is no hand soap either. Although no major complaints, the place is very average and no wow factor, not likely to return.

Very comfort and beautiful view place

A very relaxing resort, enjoyed the scenary surrounding the resort so much. Highly recommended to those whom wish to have a getaway trip in Ipoh.

The guest services crew in the Cuisines was excellent!

Great location and friendly staff. Family trip with teenagers so we went with 2 apartments which was not needed. Still suffering from Covid lockdown, so not all restaurants were open. Not crowded at all.

Ipoh is a nice place with plenty to do for a day, and the perfect complimentary location is The Haven where you can spend the next day just relaxing and enjoying the excellent food.

Located in the rustic area with nice view of greenery, caves and lake. It is nice and peaceful. Honestly not many choices for big family like ours. So this three bedroom suite suits our needs. Nice and cosy. But I wish the reception area can be a bit more welcoming, perhaps more lighted and staff more proactive in terms of helping with the luggages. When this package comes with free breakfast buffet, I thought for all 7 of us but turns out it is for 5 only.

Friendly staff, spacious unit, serene environment

Couldn’t find our booking. We ended up getting a room that looked like it hasn’t been cleaned properly. Dust on fixtures and black mould in shower. Hot and cold water machine didn’t work. No washing up liquid, incomplete set of kitchen ware.

Significant drop in standard

I had visited the haven before covid with my husband's family. At that time I could not stop raving about the 5 star experience. So we return again now with my family and was sadly disappointed with the drop in the standard of service: the top ipoh restaurant is now horrible, housekeeping not up to par, wi-fi kept dropping, and more importantly the staff don't care.

Area is nice but the area and car park is dark at night. Wish there are more lights.

Eco Friendly

Beautiful surrounding scenery . Cafe service staff were attentive and helpful. However, the front office check in staff mixed up our reservation . Studio suite single bedroom in Block B is not as cosy as Block A 3 bedrooms suite.

The hotel was superb. The view is just Wow. The pool is amazing. Ipoh was supposed to just be a stop between 2 other places, but we ended up loving it much more than the 2 others (Penang and Cameron Highlands). I would have stayed longer here.

Excellent stay in a superior suite facing the hills and pool view. Rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable to ensure a good night sleep. Polite staff and a warm welcome. Breakfast choice were adequate, nice coffee. A place to recharge and enjoy the.embience.

Short trip to Ipoh

Check in and out was taking way too long time. Room was not very clean especially the floor was sticky. Swimming pool was good especially the jacuzzi was quite good. Ordered a Haven Club sandwich for room service but the foos quality was very dissapointing. Breakfast was moderate with limited food selection and yet food tray was left empty without replenishment or too slow.

We have 6 pax in our 3 room apartment but we were only offered 2 key cards which is needed to access to the floor where our apartment is located. Apparently they worried we do not return the card upon checkout which is ridiculous considered we paid more than RM1500 per night for the apartment

Love the privacy and quiet ambience. Beautiful surrounding and very clean. I love my stay.. Deifintely coming back again if visit Ipoh next time.

Loved the view

It’s a good hotel to close to nature which overlooks a lake and limestone cliffs. The sea horse shaped pool was nice. But we thought the breakfast menu was not that good.Its okay only. Since it is further away from city, eating out is bit of problem. But thanks to good grab service available throughout Ipoh. Overall our stay in this hotel was good.

Loved the location, loved the walking track. Pool great for kids. Superb breakfast but the dining experience was not so good - a lot of what was on the menu was unavailable the night we went. Great complimentary goodies in the room, plenty of free water. Best thing about The Haven is the staff - all staff are absolutely superb. Wi fi was unsecured and terrible.

Great ambience with a spectacular scenic poolside view. The infinity pool is really nice and structually look very safe as the glass wall is so thick.

The property is set in lush green settings which is awesome. I like the peace and tranquility in the property. The staff are so friendly and ever helpful.

Very nice swimming pool. My son love it so much. However the food is not cook or taste as local . This might be due to chef are more focusing on other tourist that came from different country in the world. Especially the nasi lemak is taste like those sell in others country outside malaysia. You might find that malaysian don't like this as this is not original taste.

Brilliant stay

We had a brilliant time at The Haven with a lovely sure that felt very spacious and was great to have two bathrooms. The pool and lake area are excellent and felt very relaxing. Would finally stay again.

Very peaceful hotel with nice clif and lake view. The pool is amazing. Breakfast is great too. Very good hotel for relax and chill. At Tambun where you can go Ipoh town for local nice food too just about 10kms far only.

I loved everything about the (heavenly) haven. The views are to die for. The staff, the rooms and the food are more than excellent. I was delighted that wildlife is discreetly there too. Monkeys in the early evening are not naughty or threatening .. they just jump noisily amongst branches.

Suite in good condition but services are bad

The services provide was pretty bad as we encountered a few incidents; the receptionist can’t check-in with the Hotels.com confirmation number, we were provided the incorrect access card when we checked-in, the air conditioning in the living room was not cold, when we asked for drinking glasses at around 11pm, we were told that the kitchen was closed. After a few rounds of phone calls and debates with the housekeeping, they finally provide us the drinking glasses. The suite is in good condition and spacious but the services was bad - definitely not a 4star hotel. The lake view at night is totally different from the photos in the website as there’s no lighting at all.

The two nights best stay I ever had. Big rooms, awesome pool, the lake, jogging track and the view of the limestone cave at night. Will never forget my stay and will definitely stay here again.

Tres bel appartement de deux chambres, très calme, spacieux, propre et moderne. Je suis arrivée le matin et l’appartement était près dès 10h30, pas d’attente au check in, très appreciable. De très belles piscines avec une vue magnifique. Un cadre vraiment idyllique et très reposant. Salle de sport, spa, de belles infrastructures. Le personnel de l’hôtel est très accueillant et serviable, super! Moins: Wifi: réseau non sécurisé et très lent. Le petit déjeuner et les repas ne sont pas à la hauteur d’un 5 étoiles.

Enjoyed our stay. Mr Jeet at The Cuisines restaurant was excellent. He was attentive, helpful, has good attitude and very service oriented.

Good place to live

Breathtaking pool scenery, great rooms, wonderful staff, family friendly. Breakfast menu a little of a letdown but overall the stay was awesome. Recommended for a quick family relaxing gateway.

Took the night with 1 Bedroom Lakeview Suite and found ourselves upgraded to 3 bedrooms! This is our first time here and it was a pleasant stay. It's like staying in a condominium with well-guarded security. The place itself is close to KFC, McDonalds and 7-Eleven.However, we couldn't find a bottle opener or a hair-dryer during the stay. Nevertheless, we will come back again in the future!

Beautiful landscaping that integrates with the quarry limestone right at the doorstep. The swimming pool was surrounded by luscious greenery. Would not hesitate to come back!

Great hotel. New facilities. Furnishing was great. Staff were reaaaally friendly! Great service. Only downside is that it’s slightly farther from city centre so it takes about 20min by car to get in. If you don’t mind it that’s great. In addition, it is more like a luxury service apartment more than a luxury hotel. Have that expectation and you won’t be disappointed!

A great, safe haven of peace for a restful break.

Lovely apartment-style accommodation - suites were brightly lit with warm lights, very comfortable space between kitchen, dining and living areas, rooms were good size, beds were comfortable, cheerful modern furniture, bedroom slippers and toiletries provided, nice view of the lake. We had an issue with our door handle but it was promptly fixed Perhaps the only unsatisfactory thing was breakfast on our first morning. We arrived at around 8.15am to find almost all the food trays were empty or in a sorry state with a few pieces of sad looking items. Replenishment was not satisfactory. But credit goes to the staff who were always friendly and smiling. Breakfast on our 2nd morning was very good. We arrived at 7.15am and everything looked lovely. Food looked fresh and yummy. My fave was the chinese kway tiao (rice noodles) with gravy (aka hor-fun). It had a really strong wok flavor which is quite hard to find in Singapore nowadays. It didn't look great but tasted wonderful. So moral of the story is to go early for breakfast (but the crowd could be due to school holidays). Credit goes also to the egg chef who was very efficient in handling all the multiple orders coming his way.

The location surrounded by green and hills being away from city is fantastic. However, the facilities need improvement. Room toilet not really clean. Area for morning breakfast not 5 star standard not to meantion the food. Parking area not link to hotel building is a minus point. Some visitors not wearing proper swimming attire in the pool. Supervisor not able to control. Overall experience is below expectation.

Amazing service from staffs. Attentive. Knowledgable. Smiley & courteous! Room amenities are great! View is stunning! The pools are amazing! Hot bath Jacuzzi is absolutely well-designed. Thumbs-up for a local brand.

Great view and the swimming pool is good family. The room floor are not clean and room furniture has dust all over and the bed is not comfortable. Breakfast is moderate.

Amazing pool!

I really love that place because of the scenery and the calmness of the place. I came here and celebrated my husband birthday and he was so happy here. The pool was so amazing and beautiful in my opinion.I will come again and I hope their service during breakfast got improvement next time. Maybe there were many customers that time and they looked a bit clumsy but for me overall was ok.

Wonderful stay with family and kids!

Experience at the resort was just.. "okay". Gym should be air con'ed and equipment should be cleaned more regularly, or at least anti-septic wipes provided for user to clean equipment after use. Gym equipment could be upgraded. Restaurant has plenty of choices on the menu but food was overpriced.

Our stay at The Resort was very pleasant and relaxing. It was not crowded at all, and we get to use its facilities. We had lots of fun in the pool. Of course, upgrading us to a lakeview suite helps a lot in making our stay very comfortable. We all wished that we had stayed another day longer!!!

Nice hotel resort. Good pool. Only stayed 1night so didn't go outside of resort but didn't look like there was much. Food was good. Rooms are huge!

Excellent staff and location make a great stay

We spent 3 nights at the Haven resort in Ipoh. The hotel is actually serviced apartments, so at first glance it does not feel as luxurious as a regular five-star hotel. But, it also meant that we had a spacious apartment to ourselves, which more than made up for this. The hotel is located on a small lake, surrounded by limestone outcrops that make for a spectacular location. The view around the swimming pool area is truly stunning. However, what makes this hotel exceptional are the staff. From the gentleman who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, to the check-in staff, to the staff in the restaurant (Cuisines), everyone goes out of their way to take care of the hotel guests. Their attitude makes it abundantly clear that this is a top class hotel and nothing less.
