great location in a quiet side street by the west lake. 15 minutes from old quarter on foot

The property is near a lake which was the best thing. It has all the required amenities many advance facilities like game room, golf area and wide area pool near to the lake. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast was fulfilling. The staff were really helpful and kind. If you need a good property near the west lake in Vietnam, this is the place.

This hotel was a highlight of our time in Hanoi, it was beautiful and the staff was excellent. We would stay here again for sure.

Cleaning Staff knocked on my door then entered at 7AM waking me up. Ridiculous.

Loved the property. Directly on the lake with a pool and driving range. The gym was one of the better hotel gyms ive ever come across. The sauna and jacuzzi were a huge plus. Bun Cha at the restaurant was to die for. Breakfast Buffett was pretty good, loved the espresso machine. Staff very attentive, great customer service! A bunch of Cafes within 5 minutes walking distance to the hotel. WIll definitely be back.

I recently stayed at Hanoi Club and Residence for 9 nights, paying a premium for what I expected to be a four-star experience. Unfortunately, the hotel's location in a narrow alley proved to be inconvenient, as taxis, cars, and buses struggled to pick up guests. The crowded, narrow streets filled with motorbikes made walking around feel unsafe. Moreover, I was disappointed by the unprofessionalism of the staff and management. Their lack of manners and disregard for guests' comfort was evident throughout my stay. I was asked to check the room for a hairdryer without them inspecting it properly first. However, upon checking, the hairdryer was indeed in the room. This lack of attention to detail was concerning and not what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

If you want to escape the smog of Hanoi this is a great place to stay. Great food and facilities with a nice view of the lake and a very unique golf range. Easy to get a taxi or walk into the centre.

This place is very quiet. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The room is quite spacious with decent size bathroom. The pool is nice and there's a water golf club in the facility. There are quite a few street food options and a coffee shop across the street. This hotel is right on West Lake so if you're into morning rin and savoring the gorgous sunset on the laje, you'll like it here.

The Golf driving range was fantastic!

It has nice view of the lake. But unfortunately, it is old and run down. Buffet breakfast is miserable. And Taxi drivers do not know where it is. I have called for Taxi twice and both Taxi drivers could not find it. It is not worth the price paying for. The real place is very different from all the photos shown.

Large hotel, pool good with shade to relax under. Room clean and tidy. However did not like idea of paying a cash bond when arriving as we were low on money and needed that.

Dirty mattresses and bug

We found a bug coming out of the mattress. We belive it was a bedbug. The mattresses are old and dirty. We adressed the issue with management. They gave us a ridiculous answer re the bug came out because of the heating system. Hotel does not deserve it’s 4 stars. Not recommended

Very good bathroom and nice view

Lovely hotel, very clean, nice amenities. The only cons were the bed matteress is very hard and uncomfortable and not enough pillows. So that made for a very uncomfortable night sleep. But overall hotel was lovely and breakfast variety was huge and delicious.

Excellent signature room, (recommended for the few additional $s) spacious with good internet connection. Good and reasonably priced restaurant and adequate fitness area. Nice pool overlooking the West Lake. Plenty of good eating places within a short Grab ride.

Restful, sufficient

We were here for a restful holiday, so we mainly stayed in the hotel. The gym and swimming pool were of good quality. For those who may want a golfing drive range, they utilise the west lake this way. Breakfast is of good variety. It is a 15 minute walk to a street Xuan something that has some good food and shopping.

Poor

Unfortunately, this hotel isn't the standard most travellers will expect. On check in a deposit was demanded and the receptionist decided to write down my card details on a scrap of paper which I objected to and then proceeded to tell me a 6 million vnd deposit was required that mysteriously went down to 4 million later. The hotel is old and weathered though clean. The room is extremely noisy with traffic and dogs and getting more than 5 hours sleep is a challenge, lake side rooms may be better. I've had better breakfasts at hostels, stay here and you'll see what I mean. The hotel seems less interested in your comfort and more interested in following archaic procedures. The reviews are misleading as is the star rating. The staff are very kind and helpful and would benefit from new management.

Hanoi city break

A really nice stay at the Hanoi Club. I needed a break to practice my golf and swim so it was perfect for me. The area is quite nice, a few brew pubs within a short walk. Downtown Hanoi is about a 20 minute walk too so is easily commutable. I'd stay again if I was to return to Hanoi.

Rooms are spacious but the hotel in general is run down and a shame given its size and river front location. Uber into the main city areas is quick and cheap. The breakfast is poor quality and choice and dining area dirty. Overall okay compared to others in Hanoi but overpriced for what you get.

Can be a little difficult for taxi access at peak hours, so use GRAB Taxi app. Nice pool and can also access the driving range. Excellent layout of the Studio, 1 King Bed (City View), very spacious and great bath!!

Sanctuary in Hanoi’s “madness”.

My wife and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Hotel Club and Lake Palais and Residences and were more than happy with our stay. The hotel is situated about 100 yds. away from the likeable craziness that is Hanoi but our room was quiet and we were not disturbed by the noise by the millions of scooters that are everywhere. The hotel is very clean and all the staff are very friendly and helpful —-particularly Concierge Kent who was great at organizing taxis and advising about the cheapest cab companies ( always use ABC cabs if possible) as some private companies will charge 50 % more . Some reviewers says that Lake West which the hotel is right next to is “beautiful or stunning” or other similar compliments ——that is not what I found as I walked along the side of it and saw the results of the locals throwing rubbish into it but the Lake is clean next to the hotel. Breakfast choice was excellent and on the 3 occasions that we dined at night, we enjoyed our reasonably priced meals there served by very nice staff. Our room was spotless and the a/c worked great——-my only minor complaint is, there was only 1 chair in the room although there is a long and comfortable bench-type seat. The hotel was noise free at all times and was very clean. I never used the outdoor pool but it looked nice and many people used it. We had a thoroughly nice stay there and would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Fantastic hotel

We stayed in the studio - huge bath, great bed, awesome pool and spa treatments. Gym was great, breakfast was great. Good location if you want to be out of the traffic of the old quarter but only 5 mins drive to get there. Loved our stay and would def stay here again

Good room, nice facilities

The room was very nice. More suited for business travel but the giant soaking tub/shower room was awesome. "City view" room however means low floor with no view whatsoever.

Nice, large hotel is a good area of Hanoi. The room was spacious and had a nice view of the lake. Wi-fi is free and easy to access - as it is in most of Hanoi. Needs newer towels and more of them.

the hotel used to be luxurius and beautiful and the staff still behave accordingly but it's kind of rundown and shoddy underneath. it was clean and the rooms were large, we got there late and left early so we really didn't get the full experience

Clean hotel, good amenities, nothing special.

Good facilities, no problems but nothing really stood out to me. Make sure you take aero guard, being that it's on the lake there is a lot of mosquitos etc around. The rooms are nose but beds are pretty hard. Found staff pretty unprofessional, didn't go out of their way for you, and girl at front desk (I think her name was dalvin) was extremely rude. Always short, never smiling and I witnessed her being rude to not just myself but other customers as well and also other staff members. Very unprofessional.

Good choice Hotel

It was a one night stop over, in a studio. The room was very spacious with a kitchenette and washing machine and a full bath behind a glass wall looking onto the bedroom. Sofas and large screen tv, made the room very confortable. Breakfast was good selection and outside swimming pool and golf driving range looking onto the lake. Immaculately clean everywhere, with the smell of fresh floor polish. Staff welcoming with a big smile.

Relaxing and peaceful

I enjoyed my stay at The Hanoi Club. The room was very comfortable and clean. I got two bottles of water per day which was much appreciated. As it was a little out of the city I spent more money on taxis than anywhere else I'd stayed but the peace and quiet was worth it. Just be careful the taxis don't go the long way to overcharge you. It was a pleasant environment overlooking the lake. The pool was clean and refreshing on the hot days. It was just what I needed for a few days relaxing after travelling around Vietnam. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a selection of fresh fruits, Vietnamese and western foods. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall an enjoyable stay.

stay was fine, but only went to Hanoi for the Halong bay cruise, which was cancelled after one day, due to bad weather.

Nothing good to say about this hotel. Flew in a bit late and arrived at the hotel around 2130. At approximately 2150, I attempted to order room service for dinner and was told that the kitchen was closed at 2145. That would have been nice to know when I checked in... The carpet in the room was wet. The noise from outside was unbearable. The overall condition of the place is worthy of maybe $10 a night...not the ridiculous price they charged me for. Simply Terrible.

Staying on the Lake

Very pleasant. Outside of hotel needs upkeep but room is just gorgeous. Driving ranges, workout room, pool. Also special area for children.

Nice hotel by the lake

The hotel is well located with easy access to the airport, and a short taxi ride away from the old quarter. The facilities are good, and the staff pleasant. The room was comfortable and well furnished. I would go back during the summer to enjoy the pool facing the lake as the weather conditions during our visit didn't allow us to.

Spa and jacuzzi seperate for men and woman, which isn't ideal when your a couple! Bed was rock hard, Backpacker hostel beds have been better!

Over rated hotel

Hotel is older than it looks on webpage. Spider web at outdoor children playground. Hotel staff at spa raised voice at children who spill water along walkway of spa facilities. Inflexible hotel policy that insists charging extra bed when I told them I dont need it. Overall hotel standars is average.

It was a splendid 2 nights stay at an excellent lhotel near West lake and walking distance to a few attractions in the area. You can also venture to local nearby local eatries although the traffic can be quite hectic.. We manage to play some golf there as well!

Combine a city trip with lake-side relaxation.

This is certainly a great hotel to stay if you want to combine a city trip with sport and relaxation. Excellent price/quality ratio. Only a few kilometres from the city centre, on West Lake with great lake view. Big swimming pool and an original golf practise.

came to Hanoi to watch a football match. also saw halong bay great place so much fun.. except this hotel closes down at 2200 every night.
