Great value, clean, everything you could want. Perfect for a few days or even a weeks stay as you make Cusco your home base.

Booked and paid for a private room, upon arrival I was asked to move to a different address which was a lot tougher and to spend one night in a shared room with 12 beds. The next night I was given a room with four beds to myself but then I was woken up and told I had to move to the room from the night before, I refused but on this made things tense. It was quite the clown show.

We had a great time, the people were nice and we had fun. People always willing to help. It is a real hostel!!! Nothing fancy, hot shower, warm bed. If u want luxury it is not for u. Very basic!

We were supposed to have a private room with private bathroom. They gave our room away and when we arrived back that night had a new room for us, but it was a shared room they just let us stay in. No lock on the door, sheets were dirty, shared bathroom was dirty. One of the showers you couldn’t turn the hot water on. They make you rent towels (although, our original room was supposed to have them). It was very noisy. We got a hotel for the rest of our trip that was only $5 more a night and was so perfect! I highly recommend looking around and finding a better deal.

Poor management

Booked a double bedrrom with private bathroom when I got to the hostel there was no private room available I was told I had to stay in shared room and that the next day the private room would be available.. Next day the person in the reception was nice but didn’t know anything about anything, told me to wait for the boss.. waited 3 hours.. the guy called this Shirley 3 times.. but she never came.. I guess it was raining too much for her to come back and I ended up sleeping again in a shared room. No refund or apology because the hostel is runned by kids and this Shirley never came back. Also not cleaned and rain inside the bar/restaurant.

Worst Hostel We Have Ever Encountered

Our stay at this hostel was a nightmare. We’ve stayed in hostels all around the world and this is by far the worst. We entered our private room and there was immediately an awful smell. Upon entering the bathroom, we found wet toilet paper and hair all around the edges of the floor. The hostel itself seems unsafe w/ rotting floorboards.Beds awful w/ poking springs. At breakfast, they run out and when you ask for something they just give you a dirty look and walk away. What really put us off was the manager/owner of the hostel coming to us and telling us that we did not pay the correct rate on Expedia for our private double room with private bath(which we most definitely did)...and that they were going to move us the following day to a room upstairs(more like a built in shed) with an outside bathroom. The next morning the receptionist, while nice, barely understood English or our Spanish so called her manager to address our issues with moving. The manager told us she would arrive to the hostel in 30minutes to speak with us. Two hours later no appearance. When we called again she claimed she never told us she was coming to the property. Expedia tried to reach the property dozens of times with no answer. Due to this Expedia was able to process our refund that the property would not give. We moved right next door to Ukuku’s Hostel with a huge, comfortable beds, clean room and friendly staff for just a small bit more $. Would not recommend ANYONE to stay at the Grasshopper Hostel!

Hostel near Plaza San Pedro

Hostel near Plaza San Pedro. I stayed in the 1st floor, 4 rooms: my room had 8 beds, 2 other rooms had 4 beds each, other room had 6 beds, so total of 22 beds in first floor and only 1 bathroom with 1 toilet and 1 shower only! Place was very cold at night. Also very loud at night, they play loud music (bring ear plugs). I had booked a city tour at the hostel, at pick up they told me last minute I had to pay an additional 70, no one mentioned it prior to booking. Then when I decided not to go they had the nerve to charge me a few for not going, very deceptive!

Worst hostel experience in South America

We had a paid reservation for a private room and arrived early at 5:30 am at the hostel due to taking a night bus. As we walked in the lady at the desk told us she did not have this reservation at all. After showing her all reservation confirmation she sent us away to get breakfast and come back later to check again as she had no room. Slightly irritated we did as told and came back around 10am. The next lady was now sitting there and informed us that she had found our reservation but had no private room for us. She put us in a 4bed bunk bed room and asked if thats okay. As we were tired and really just wanted a good night rest in the room we had paid for we asked her to arrange a private room. She promised to arrange such and we should come back at around 4. as we came back later that evening to finally get some rest a lady number 3 told us that unfortunately they had no room for us as they were fully booked and had given away even all bunk beds by now. we were upset and told we wanted to speak to the manager to find a solution as we had been there since early in the morning and had a completely paid reservation for the nights. The manager refused to talk to us and did not answer any of our multiple calls whatsoever. We found out that multiple people had had the same issue and in the end we had to find a new place to stay by ourselfs. I have never before experienced such poor management and problemsolving skills at all!Very disapointing! Place itself was quite filthy/rundown

Excelente ubicación, el servicio y la atención son excelentes. Comodo y limpio.

Mal carater

Infelizmente ao chegar, o hostel não tinha o quarto solicitado à disposição. Como alternativa sugeriram ficar em um outro local, sem o banheiro privativo e com um valor maior do que o já pago (e que não me foi devolvido). Ao conversar com um outro hospede ele comentou ser recorrente esta ação afim de aumentar os valores cobrados por hospede.

Atendimento muito bom. Café da manhã ótimo. O quarto estava um pouco úmido.

No dan el servicio que dicen brindar, no hay agua caliente, no hay agua todo el dia, no limpian los baños, los cuartos no tienen buen ambiente, la recepcionista no avisa cuando llegan los del tours a recogerte, nos quisieron cobrar demás, dejan mal a los cinqueños con ese tipo de vivezas, FATAL primera y ultima!

Je ne recommande pas cette auberge, le dortoir trop bruyant, le ménage n'est pas fait , ils ne prennent même pas la peine de changer les drap ni tait d'oreiller ( je les ai vu faire devant moi ) ! Les sanitaires enfin surtout les toilettes était degueulasse !

Muito desorganizado. Barulhento, difícil dormir. Água quente sempre em falta...

Unprofessional and unreliable

We made a reservation and paid it before getting into the hostel . The night when we arrived they didn’t have any room left so we didn’t have any place to stay . They found another hostel for us and promised to pay the difference but it never happened so we ended paying two hostels. Unprofessional and unreliable

僕を担当してくれたsolという人はとても愛想がよく丁寧でした。しかし、人によってハズレがあるそうです。 ネットもあり、温水シャワーもあり、場所も旧市街に近く、値段も安いので良いと思います。
