Always a fabulous stay. Wonderful staff, beautiful hotel and more than anything, a real traditional family owned hotel that very much values its guests.

Second visit and it wont be the last. The staff, the hotel, the position, the breakfast all excellent. Very friendly, and very comfortable. A country house feel in the middle of London. Love it.

Wonderful family-owned hotel in a great location near Victoria and Buck House

We were put in a very nice room on the 1st floor overlooking the hotel food delivery space. Every morning at 4:30, the trucks arrived making a terrible noise and waking us up. The various noise remained for the next 2 hours. It happened for 2 nights in a row, which is totally unacceptable for the level of this hotel. Upon checking in I asked for a quiet room on a high floor, but instead was offered this room or an upgrade for even more money, which I refused. No matter the quality of the room, the friendliness of the staff, the whole experience was spoiled.

Wonderful hotel with beautiful garden

They gave me a cheaper room, single queen bed and not double bed, very small room, smaller bed and tiny bathroom although I paid for a larger room and bed. Bed and pillow smells awful. Reception and management had a bad attitude. Additionally they said breakfast is not included although expedia site said it's included for the type of room I ordered. They said they ste doing me a favour and included breakfast, but didn't give me a refund for the cheaper room.

What an excellent stay. Staff are super attentive and room was great. What's more to say but we stayed at the Goring and it surpassed our expectations.

We think we will never stay anywhere else when in London angain other than The Goring. I can’t quite remember now how we found it but am SO glad we did..

This is a historic hotel with superb decor, service, and style. Still owned by the original family and the site of many historic events through the years, the hotel oozes with authenticity and authorship that is rarely found in today's corporate hotels. The consistency of the rooms varies though: the better rooms are SIGNIFICANTLY nicer than the lowest priced one, including different soaps, decor, and quality. The service is thoughtful and discreet, eager to please and able to go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. The doormen kept thoughtful tabs on us and the staff never forgot who we were. The food in the newly renovated dining room is superb, with good portions and a luxurious locale. Skip the chain hotels and stay here, in history!

We found the Goring to be a beautiful traditional hotel. The service is attentive and impeccable, the staff are expert, cheerful, friendly and highly motivated.

It's a special place that looks after you very well.

The hotel was beautiful but beyond that, every staff member from the doormen, to the concierge, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff all were completely focused on your needs and making your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible

This hotel is where the Royal family entertains and hosts its visitors to nearby Buckingham Palace because its location, staff, design and amenities are incomparable and the best place to stay in London. Amazing!

This was truly a 5-star experience from the moment you walk in until their wishing you safe travels.

Very friendly staff, lovely feeling of opulence in the lounge bar, especially liked the open fire in the bar on a cold rainy evening.

Unparalleled excellence. Lovely festive features all around the hotel, staff wonderfully efficient, generous and kind.

The Goring was lovely but not worth the price. We were told that this would be the most Christmas themed hotel in the area; however, not the case. I don’t even think we saw a tree? Hotel needs more updated technology outlets. Small room was next to a butlers pantry and very loud all hours of the evening. Staff was nice. Wouldn’t stay again.

Nothing exceptional

Stayed for a wedding - no acknowledgment of it. Service same as most places I've stayed across London and it's a lot. The reception team and door staff almost unnoticed even when we left in wedding attire they didn't even get to the car to open the doors or wish us well.

Amazing experience from start to finish of our visit.

Excellent stay as always although I wish Expedia would stop offering room upgrades at properties that never upgrade you . I did receive complementary breakfast however, but the offer of an upgrade is misleading

Amazing hotel. The staff have been so nice and go out their way to look after you. Perfect in every way.

We absolutely loved The Goring! The sheep, the wallpaper, the rooms and the staff. All made for a perfect stay.

It was only a short one night stay for us but it was amazing as before. Alexander Wilson was particularly superb . Many Thanks and we hope to see you again soon .

The hotel is beautifully done, the staff superbly attentive (they knew my name from the moment we checked in) and the location perfectly situated.

The level of service at the Goring is unmatched by any other hotel I have experienced. Staff are warm, friendly, efficient, and superbly trained. We were at the Goring for a week and we were sad to leave.

A wonderful stay - just perfect

A fantastic stay. Such a lovely hotel I can’t wait to return though as I only live 40 minutes away it has to be some occasion to book. Thankfully this time it was an early DofE award ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The staff were just wonderful to my son, ensuring his shoes were shined, his suit looked perfect and that we were both kitted out with large umbrellas! The hotel garden is the perfect place to enjoy pre-dinner drinks. Our room overlooked the garden and was very peaceful. Breakfast was beautifully presented. A huge thank you to all the staff. A very special hotel.

Luxury hotel not really meeting the standards.

Very expensive hotel, gives the appearance of luxury and service but lacking in several areas. Lee the assistant manager is excellent with some others setting a good standard but generally disappointing, especially food and dining.

Top experience

Every minute of the experience was excellent from the moment I arrived (very late) to check out. I was sad to leave and will only stay there when traveling to London.

The Goring is a wonderful place to stay, with absolutely friendly and even more professional staff, outstanding service, amazing food and excellent rooms. The bar has such a wonderful ambience, in this authentic hotel(particularly love the details like the vintage elevator indicator) you wouldn't want to leave. We will definitely be back soon. Superb. Unrivalled in London. A full service 5-star hotel that retains the advantages of being relatively small - staff are second to none - attentive without being obtrusive, outstanding food (Beef Wellington is without question the finest available in the capital), washed down with an outstanding recommendation from the sommelier. Its now my go-to home-from-home in London

I chose The Goring Hotel because I was taking my 77 year old mother to London and wanted to have a nice room with 2 comfortable chairs. The Goring exceeded all my expectations and became the most memorable part of our trip. Gorgeous room, comfortable beds, daily newspaper which my mother loved reading, room service. The service was amazing-formal but not stuffy, very friendly, very helpful. We had afternoon tea and a dinner in the dining room. Both were excellent. Excellent location.

Feel like royalty

sumptuous hotel, friendly but very professional service. The food was truly amazing, although the dining room was so busy we had to wait for our pre-booked table for almost 30 minutes. Beautiful interiors and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Loved The Goring so much, stayed here for my 30th birthday. We had complimentary drinks and cakes while we waited for our room to be ready, the room was so gorgeous, with the sweet sheep on the beds that we were able to take home with us, had complimentary champagne as it was a special occasion, customer service was fantastic. Beautiful hotel in a great location and would love to go back.
