Overall the staff were lovely, I booked the Deluxe King with Spa but sadly the spa had some sort of black mould coming out of the jets of it, so we ended up not even getting a good bath out of it. The Air conditioner barely worked and the room was overheating most of the time we were there (we asked the receptionist multiple times about it but it didn’t seem to make a difference), the TV wouldn’t let us StreamCast at all apparently they had someone come in to fix it a couple days prior but it still wasn’t working so we ended up just not using it all. In the end I probably won’t be booking this hotel again I’ll be going somewhere else.

Excellent service checking in and room was clean. Only minor issues like the desk lamp having no bulb and second shower head broken but overall great room regardless. Very quiet area and plenty of off street parking with the overflow option into Wests.

Our recent stay at Gateway Inn over the weekend was a pleasant experience. The room was generously spacious, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet—perfect for relaxation. There was plenty of parking available, which added to the convenience. The provision of ample tea, coffee, and biscuits was a thoughtful touch, and having restaurants on-site was a big plus. Overall, it was a very good stay and exceptional value for money. While the room felt a bit outdated and the WiFi reception could use improvement, these were minor inconveniences in an otherwise satisfying experience.

Very poorly managed. Cleaning staff just walk into your room without knocking - repeatedly. Very strange. Have revisited multiple times - but because of a "new system" apparently I've hardly ever been there. As a member - pretty degusted that this is the standard or our club. Musty smelling hallways - terrible parking and atrocious access / egress from the carpark areas. They obviously spent too much money buying the Knights to be interested in providing members the service that they actually pay for.

The hotel itself was clean and reasonably appointed. The staff and clientele however, was questionable. It took several hours to get the staff help on an extremely noisy guest and when confronted was told it wasn't their responsibility. Given the choice, would not stay again. Especially during peak period.

Our stay was great and relax. Only the room didn’t clean well after last stayed family. But the service people is really nice. Will go back there again.

Warm friendly staff. Aging interior but still comfortable. Lots of stains on cushions and blankets, crusty food stuck on benches, broken shower, missing plates and cutlery. On request the staff quickly arranged maintenance. The final charge was different and slightly higher than what was booked through Hotels.com. No details on why the higher price was provided.

Hallway is not clean. Room was not cleaned in detail. We saw hair in the shower drain and food scrap at the corner of the room. Carpet needs deep cleaning or replaced

Upon arrival we were greeted and given our cards. Room was spacious, clean and tidy, and modern. The wine bottle in the fridge was opened already with some missing- i rang and said it wasnt us so we wouldnt be charged- no issues there. Next we checked out the bathroom, particularly the double ended bath which was the whole reason i booked this hotel and room. The bath was large and clean with about 6 jets. BUT the tap handle was at the pillow at one end of the bath so rendering it useless, the plug kept popping up and down causing my wifes leg to get pinched- romantic night ruined. The king bed was comfy. TVs both wouldnt cast to mobiles despite trying android and iphones. Heres the kicker- the aircon duct directly above the bed is not well insulated to outside, so when it rains the water falls from the high section of the building directly on the duct causing a sound like hail is on a tin roof- even though it was spitting rain outside. This caused us to be awake most of the night. Upon checkout i politely let the front desk staff know of our concerns and we were told 'thats how its always been' and theres nothing they could do about it. This tells me they are clearly aware of these 2 big issues! Room 1114.

Staff were lovely, slightly overpriced, but convenient, clean and safe. I lost my hearing aid whilst checking out, staff were amazing and immediately helped locate and return to me. Would happily stay again. No complaints at all.

We were very upset with how the staff treating to gusts and at that point, I even thought for a moment to ring the police or our lawyer. Three people mentioned that each of them is the Inn manager at three different time; even difficult to make a complaint. Very very rude. The staff asked to leave us if we don’t want to stay at around 9.00pm at night. Very disappointed. It is obvious that the management is not caring/ less caring about customer service. We simply asked for the receipt for credit card payment and the staff refused and strongly verbally harassed us. He asked to read the booking confirmation and the company can not give receipts at all. That is completely illegal in Australia: I have nothing against him personally as he looks like immigrant who has no clue about what he was doing except treating: I felt like he was going to hit me any time with his body language. I am thinking to send group memo to all of our group of companies, partners, clients and members the description of what we experienced and think twice for any business/official/work stays in this place. As we don't want any Australian to face such inconveniences and bullying. However, we informed the company CEO in writing about our inconvenience and unethical customer handling. Waiting to hear This is the first time we experienced such disappointment from hotel industry: No way we recommend to anyone who anticipates peace of mind and quality service (actually, any sort of service) at all.

another motel stealing $100 from every patron under the "pre-auth" scam ... avoid at all costs as its a 28 day wait for your $100 if you ever see it again !

Thank you Gateway Inn. The staff were so friendly and accommodation and the motel was in an ideal position for our stay. We had a lovely corner room with great views and a lovely bay window. Loved having Wests Club next door and easy access to all their wonderful facilities. Loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend. We will be back 😊

Overall we were happy with our stay. The staff and service were very good. We had booked a room with twin beds but when we arrived this was not so. Thankfully this hiccup was rectified immediately and efficiently. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

This stay was extremely great. My family and I enjoyed it very much. Other than the slight issue with the TV that was immediately fixed by the kind hotel staff, there were no issues what so ever. With the convenience of West Leagues club attached to the hotel, easy access and great food.

Relaxed stay

The room had a slightly musty smell which may have come from a bit of carpet against the outside wall. Perhaps some dampness had got in from rain. Apart from that all was good and the room was very comfortable. The hotel has three Tesla EV chargers which is very convenient for Ev drivers.

Absolutely lovely hotel with world class service. plenty of dining options and the rooms, stunning. We will be back for sure.

Convenient, clean and served the overnight stay purpose

Disappointing.

Upon entering room we noticed only one towel, one hand towel and one pair of slippers. We informed the front desk and were issued with more towels etc but no slippers. Bed was reasonably comfortable but street noise was unbelievably loud even from the sixth floor! Cars and many trucks till at least 4am when I finally fell asleep! Room is advertised as ‘separate bedroom’ - it was a wardrobe separating the bed from the bathroom and room door. No lamps so you need to get out of bed to turn lights on or off. One floor lamp in a corner opposite bed behind a heavy chair and floor fan that we couldn’t reach! Clock/radio was not even on correct time. Close to Wests Club so food and drinks easy walk. For the price it was very disappointing. Staff were friendly. Close to hospital we needed to be at early the next morning so convenient location but would not stay here again.

Nice clean hotel

Modern hotel with comfortable beds and nice gym. Will say the electrical outlets in the room aren't placed very well, had to borrow an extension chord from the front desk.

When we got there the property had run out of the type of rooms we had booked through Expedia… the staff were excellent in the way they dealt with this situation and were great throughout our stay

I’ve stayed here a few time now, staff are always lovely! The club next door has a couple of dining ways with nice food! A lovely place to stay!

When I arrived at the hotel I was very tired and the receptionist was chatting with a guest who was checking in. I waited almost half an hour to check in.

Booked a 2 bedroom apartment and it had more than enough space for even more people. The layout of the rooms and the amenities in the room were just perfect! Will definitely come back. The staff were very professional and respectful. Oh, and the free coffee in the lobby at checkout, that was a nice touch. 10/10

The room was decent and it was handy having a little kitchenette. The fold out bed was highly uncomfortable. Everything else about the room was good.

Not enough parking for hotel stayer’s

Second time staying here. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Only downside was the room’s lighting can be fairly dim but overall the stay was great.

Don’t think it lived up to its online profile and review in person. Very stuffy hot rooms when we arrived then aircon took ages to kick, no windows to open, weird see through wall from living to bathroom. Definitely convenient for the night but would not recommend. Slow check out process too.

The staff at The Gateway were courteous and friendly. A clean and convenient venue.

Very noisy major road and no other comparable room to change to. Shower had two roses, lucky because one didn't work at all just gushed as one ineffectual water blob. Blame myself for not being more careful with hotel selection. Certainly a mystery how they got 4 stars.
