Amazing for new moms

The staff was overly accommodating and so kind. I'm a breastfeeding mother and they went out of their way to ensure I had what I needed. The rooms were extremely comfortable and well designed. The bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay again!

The accommodations were terrific and the hotel staff was excellent. The room was large and very quiet and the bath/ shower area felt luxurious. We especially loved grabbing the coffee on the second floor patio area, sitting in the chairs and relishing the morning breeze...it was a nice way to meet other interesting hotel guest also enjoying the morning.

Room was very nice and comfortable. Parking was tight but we parked off site and hotel covers off site parking which was covered by hotel.

Just what I needed!

My stay was too short, but they cover every detail for the most relaxing and comfortable stay. I could go on and on. Andrew was so patient with me, getting me settled in, answering my questions. I was unable to visit the restaurant but the vibe was great and customers were having a great time. Looking forward to going back for a much longer stay.

Boutique Hotel, 15 rooms, clean, good customer service, outside expressi coffe. And a very good Italian restaurant down stairs.

Fun place to stay

We were here for our wedding anniversary. We stayed at this location a couple of years before COVID-19 when it was Hotel 11, and my wife loves the deep soaker tub in the larger rooms. Unfortunately, we were not aware of the fact that some renovations to the ourside of the property were taking place when we made the reservation. Fortunately, it did not affect our stay, as the workers were very nice, and since my wife and I are fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, we made sure to communicate with them in their native tongue (Spanish) to let them know what room we were in if they needed us to move our vehicle for them for any reason (they did not need us to). We also spoke to one of them who was working on a new outside decorative fountain in the courtyard for a little while. He was doing excellent tile work and he was super nice! Vicki, Andrew, and Cassie from the hotel were great! The restaurant (Poeta) was fabulous! We split a Caesar salad. We normally do not eat croutons but these were NOT ordinary croutons! Although I still limited myself, they were fresh, homemade, buttery, and delicious!!! I had the branzino and my wife had some of the fresh made pasta. Simply, wonderful!

Absolutely loved this stay! Such a peaceful boho vibed place! The decor was top tier so cute! The staff were all friendly people to us.

Frances Modern Inn was a great choice for our stay in Austin - we didnt realise when we booked but the area around the hotel ended up being our favourite area in Austin, lots of great bars and food options (bbq,tacos and brunch places) within 10 minute walk. Its a self service check in but the staff were so freindly and always checking in via the messaging service to check everything was okay and offfering suggestions if we needed! We booked a small room as we were only staying for a few days but were moved to a bigger room when we arrived to give us more space, which was a really lovely touch. As a more boutique/self service hotel there arent many amenities but there's a communal seating area with coffee machine/fridge with cold waters available and games/books - a really appreciated touch in the summer heat. We saw two rooms and which were both decorated nicely and the bathrooms seem recently redone to a very high standard - amazing rainfall showers and lovely smelling refillable products.

Easy check in. Off Parking is walkable and free. Love the vibe. Rooms are beautifully decorated.

Best Staycation ever

Wonderful experience - we had a staycation to celebrate our anniversary and the owners were so kind to arrange flowers and a bottle of champagne on arrival. The room was spectacular - a vintage chic vibe that whisked us away to 1920’s Paris. We ordered food from Poeta (the restaurant linked to the hotel) and it was excellent. The food was delicious but also great value for money. Can recommend this gem enough

The hotel was very cozy, clean, and had beautiful rooms. The hotel was well maintained and had wonderful service and staff.

Everything was great

Very clean and extremely friendly staff, especially Vickie! She even came out to meet us in the offsite parking lot.The only negative was the parking, but that’s the nature of downtown Austin. Even though the parking wasn’t great, we will be back. This is our new hotel for stays in Austin! Thank you Frances Modern for an enjoyable getaway.

We loved staying here. The location worked great for us in this charming inn. We would highly recommend it. The wonderful first floor restaurant is a bonus. We will definitely stay here again when in Austin.

A charming and elegantly designed boutique hotel…it was a dream!

Lux and Lovely

Absolutely lovely accommodations. The room is charming with a huge bathroom and the most comfortable bed and pillows. The balcony opens up to the street overlooking the neighborhood and the big heavy doors are very safe and block out the noise. The black out curtains work really well too! I appreciate the fridge in the room and I love the coffee available with the communal space in the breezeway. Although I never saw any staff, they were great to communicate via text and very helpful. The property is spotless and full of great murals and decor. I highly recommend for anyone not wanting to be downtown or on Congress!

The Frances Modern Inn is hands down the only hotel i ever wanna stay in, downtown. The room was so gorgeous, close to everything, parking was easy, and Vicki literally greeted us and walked us to our room upon arrival. It is so stinking cute at every turn. My partner and I are already plotting on a trip back.

Very nice place, courteous staff, Peota was an amazing dining experience. Really like the unique atmosphere and styling, the outdoor communal lounge area felt like being in a different country. Definitely recommend over chain hotels and the cleanliness and conveniences rivaled the finest establishments.

A cool, unique property in East Austin.

Friendly staff and very nice rooms and decor.

The Frances Modern is an anchor for this up and developing area. We walked to the football game in 20 minutes and didn’t have to deal with crowd or rideshares. Vicki is an amazing host and helped us find a great restaurant late Saturday. She is warm and genuinely interested in he guest - and lovely Bailey the house pet! LOVED the room - comfortable and each is unique. Frances Modern is now on our short list of go-to Inns. If you are looking for something off the main tourist track, this is you best bet.

THE BEST LITTLE SECRET HOTEL

Absolutely loved this hotel. Every single thing about it. The set-up, the ROOMS (omg), the bedding, the people running it, the ease of it all. They even still provide daily housekeeping service which is a rarity these days. We loved it and will definitely stay here again.

Okay this place is so great! I loved my stay and all the accompanying amenities. The bed? Amazing. Robes? PLUSH. Proximity? Incomparable. It’s truly a unique Austin establishment in a place overrun with run of the mill hotel chains (even the boutique brands). Can’t wait to make this my preferred stay in Austin! Thanks to the staff for a lovely stay!

What an amazing little boutique hotel! The hotel is in a great, walkable location close to lots of restaurants, activities, etc. The rooms are SUPER clean! I'm assuming the hotel may have been recently updated because the furnishings and linens look and feel brand new. The sheets, blankets, towels were so fresh and clean, and MUCH higher quality than in other bigger hotels I've stayed at. The robes were AMAZING! No scratchy, worn robes here-they were incredibly soft! The lotions, soaps, (even make up remover) are also high quality. They didn't skip any detail! The owners go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and you have a great stay. They really pay attention to ALL of the small details that add up to a really excellent property! We will DEFINITELY stay here again when we're in Austin!

Had a wonderful stay at the Cat Noir and would happily stay again on a return visit to Austin. We were arriving later than the check-in window due to terrible traffic but called up and Shelly was very accommodating. The room was small but comfy. We were out & about most of the day so it suited us great for a cozy place to come back to. Just a heads up, if you have a car, the parking lot is a bit of a tight squeeze but there is tons of street parking around too if it’s a problem. We made great friends with the neighbor cat Carl who hangs about a lot. And on the last day as we were loading up the car we finally got to meet Louie the hotel cat! The signs about checking your trunk for him were no joke - he hopped in while we were loading to inspect it all, ha! It was a wonderful stay and hope to be back!

It was absolutely perfect! You can tell the owner takes pride in her work, we had a very late check in due to road issues and she personally called us to make sure we were alright. The rooms were very clean an have a great view from the terrace! There was even a very cute welcome note in each room! Very monitored as well and that was a plus for us since it was just us single moms with 1 child. Over all I highly recommend it and will be coming back!

A super cool boutique hotel in a super cool neighborhood. I had to book a (very) last-minute overnight trip to Austin and happened upon the Cat Noir purely by chance. I am SO happy that I found it - this place is truly a gem! Every single detail was effortlessly cool, from the friendliness of every staff member to the ridiculously comfy bed, the gorgeous rooftop patio, and the sweet kitty, Louie, who lives on site and offers his hospitality. The East Side of Austin has grown so much in the past few years, and I’m so thrilled to see such cool places contributing to the neighborhood vibe. Needless to say I will without a doubt make The Cat Noir my go-to accommodation any time I am in town, and cannot wait to return!

Shelly and her staff are great...friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with a modern flair. The beds are heaven. Bathrooms are spacious and clean with luxury toiletries, fluffy, white towels and rain shower. I loved the outside patios and rooftop terrace. Highly recommend the Cat Noir

Lovely boutique hotel

I really enjoyed staying at this lovely boutique Hotel. Very nice location, staff, accommodations. And Louie is just a sweetheart of a kitty! I would highly recommend!

I loved the restaurant /Bar on the property. I thought the staff and Christina at the front desk , were so nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable and comforting. I love east Austin and the location was perfect. The parking lot was tiny and I was the last guest to arrive, I had some trouble parking a big truck. There was live music across the street (an organ) that played nonstop from check-in until 10:00PM, that I didn’t enjoy, but, some may love. Overall, I enjoyed my experience there and the people I interacted with very much.

Amazing hotel for a romantic weekend. Book the room with the soaking tub; you won’t regret it!

A nice boutique hotel with a small cafe downstairs. Owner on site and accommodating. Exceptional may be a stretch, but I'd stay again if the price was a bit lower.

Well maintained property in nice neighborhood

We had room 12, with a king size bed facing 11th Street with a small balcony. The room was spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable. We wish the room had a small coffee maker. Other than that it suited us just fine

The owner is very sweet and helpful. Convenient location and was able to park for free at the hotel. Parking is very limited but we were lucky enough to find some on-site

Terrific place to be

The Cat Noir was an amazing place to stay! Perfect rooms with the comfiest beds. The area that the hotel is located in is awesome as well. Lots of great food and bars nearby. Will definitely be back again! The best part of our stay was meeting sweet Louie!

Absolutely nothing to complain about. It was very clean, comfortable and just perfect. I normally don't say I will stay at a hotel again but this one I would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay in Austin

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Eleven. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and Louie the hotel cat makes for a wonderful greeter. We stayed in the crash pad room, which was charming and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The high reviews on this place are well deserved!

A quaint hotel in a great location.

A great cozy hotel next to a couple of bars, a coffee shop and the famous Franklin BBQ. The hotel has a nice European feel. The room was slightly small, but nicely furnished, with great contemporary decor. The room was very clean, smelled great. The owner of the hotel was very nice and accommodating. Free parking was a plus!

What a delightful boutique hotel!

This was such a lovely and delightful stay! The room, especially the bedding, was sooo comfortable and relaxing! The large soaking tub and the rainfall shower were heavenly. The owner, Shelly Leibham, as well as her staff (thank you, Caitlin!) were super friendly, gracious, on the ball, ready to meet our needs and requests at the drop of a hat. The location, right across from a food truck court with several nice options and live music in the evening, was perfect. The rooftop patio provided a lovely place to watch the sunset and stars. We truly enjoyed our time and would recommend it to anyone needing a nice place to get away (or staycation, as it was for us).

Louie the cat makes your stay feel like home! Loved the Gruner Veltliner. I highly recommend this adorable hotel. Modern look with the best mattress ever! I need to know the brand. Great shower products too. A win all the way around!!

Austin’s hidden gem

The room was warm and inviting and very clean. They even had a personal welcome card in the room with our name on it. It is very close to downtown and there is a food truck yard right across the street with delicious food and choices to chose from. We will definitely be back!

Hotel Eleven is fabulous!

We loved everything about Hotel Eleven! The service was excellent, and we felt right at home from check-in until the morning we had to leave! It’s absolutely adorable inside and out, and in a nice walkable area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, and can’t wait to go back with friends!
