This hotel was lovely, located off the main road into Manuel Antonio National Reserve yet secluded and quiet. The pool was lovely, the restaurant called Medusa had 5 star cuisine. We stayed 3 nights and the staff Alexandro, Andres, Daniella, Monica, Emily, Lissette and Yami were always kind and so accommodating, whether it was providing us with an early breakfast because we had an early tour, helping us book a tour or waiting on us at the restaurant, they all were willing to help us.
The street side of the resort hides all of the charm and comfort we experienced inside. The nice pool and patio area surrounded by tropical plants and trees was nice for relaxing around. Our room was quite comfortable with a large bed and plenty of space. The small table and chairs outside of the room, an under a ceiling fan, was great for evening and morning birdwatching ( monkeys too!). The breakfasts were very generous and tasty and the lunch and dinner menu gave plenty of options. We will stay again if visiting Manuel Antonio.
The property is absolutely stunning and impeccably maintained. The breakfast was presented like a piece of art and it was delicious too. The staff are exceptionally kind and attentive, making our stay truly special. The front desk staff were a standout—their extensive knowledge and willingness to offer advice and guidance made a significant difference. This was a truly remarkable vacation, and we can't wait to return!
Great place
It has beautiful grounds and it was very quiet too. The perfect place to relax!
The property is a 30 minute walk from the beach and Manuel Antonio Park. We stayed in a casita at the back and many of the animals from the park frequented the jungle like property including monkeys. The staff was top notch and the food in the restaurant was great. The bus stop is a two minute walk from the hotel. Loved it.
The location is very convenient, and the property is lovely. Thank you for a great stay!
Room was very humid, the smell hits you the moment you step in. Its a good space and clean. Some of the blinds of the front door were in bad condition, it was hard to close it to get privacy. In general the property is very secluded and beautiful, nature all around and even monkeys show while you are at the open restaurant. The staff very friendly and prompt to help.
It was a nice stay. The rooms are a bit outdated but the food and forest pool area was beautiful. I had an amazing massage in my room. Its walking distance to shops and restaurants.
This is an 3 star hotel. Very nice but nothing spectacular. A good value. Our mid priced rooms were very nice. The grounds are a jungle so monkeys and lizards all around. Restaurant was nice. Walking distance to many restaurants. Bus or cab to others or the beach. Staff very helpful setting up day trips.
Shower partition was broken. Bed was making noise.
Great location, clean with a good size room and nice pool. We had an issue at check in regarding my booking stating a ‘free mini bar’ and the hotel not honouring this even when shown the confirmation. Not only did I not get an apology or any kind of willingness to help, but I found the staff rather rude in dealing with this. They then said it was Expedia’s fault and I had to speak to them. I did this and Expedia confirmed that I can have the free mini bar as advertised. However when I approached reception they were yet again rude with no apology and said I could only have it for the first night (again not as advertised). After some back and forward they finally agreed we could have this for the two nights of our stay and apologies (on text only). It’s not so much the free mini bar that bothered me but the principle of the situation and the rude attitude. On arrival I also heard another customer having a problems with the staff and his booking. On a more positive note, the breakfast staff were very helpful and accommodating for our dietary needs, cooking us fresh almond milk pancakes which was very much appreciated by all 😊 a big thank you to them. The pool looked nice but was far too cold for us to swim in which was a disappointment (we were unlucky with the weather and I guess they don’t bother to heat it like some of the other hotels we stayed in). The room was nice and clean. No patio or anything but we were in the cheaper room so not expected.
Good location logistically, just on a busy windy road. Staff great, accommodating, friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and spacious. Great gardens.
The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We felt like we were literally in the jungle with the lush surroundings. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great happy hour also and breakfast.
Gem located on a busy street. Once inside it was more peaceful and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Resort offers some great tour options at a discount.
Excelente opción de Manuel Antonio
Excelente estadía en Manuel Antonio y el Hotel ofrece muy buenos servicios y las instalaciones son muy agradables
The property was beautiful it felt like you were in the wilderness with all the natural plants that are there. The staff were great, they were very kind, and helpful. My family genuinely enjoyed our time there.
This Hotel was perfect, very clean, staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very Good, and the pool was great to just relax.
Welcoming
The hotel staff was amazing. From the reception to the restaurant. They were all very helpful throughout our stay.
Nice hotel
Beautiful hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff , peaceful ambience, delicious breakfast /food. Clean.
Excellent
Very cozy and kept up. A great variety of restaurants to choose from.
This is an excellent/safe place to stay.
Nice place
The food was very good along with the staff who were very nice. We enjoyed the view, pool, and pics we got of the monkeys that were roaming. The rooms were very clean and organized but the beds were a little uncomfortable.
The staff was amazing but no hot tub.
This resort is so beautiful. We stayed with our 3 children (13,6,3) and they loved the pool and wildlife. We saw capybaras and iguanas walking around. The drinks were good, bar service was excellent and the front desk also has excellent customer service. Breakfast was accommodating to serve us early before our tours. The resort is right in the lush forest with beautiful landscape. The room was perfect and had enough space for our family of 5. It's a close walk to many restaurants and there is a bus stop right next door so it was very easy to get around. The bus comes every 15 min and was very convenient to catch. Would definitely stay here again.
Great Grounds, Not So Great Service.
Amazing location, good rooms, beatiful territory with wild life. Great and inexpensive cocktails. Would love to give 5* of it wasn't for uneven service. Service level, quality of food in the restaurant varied between excellent and mediocre at best. One night the staff was just missing - no food, no bar... No warning. Also, the constantly changing colors in the otherwise great pool looked cheap. This is a matter of taste, of course.
I stayed here for a week with my gf. Everyone was super nice and helpful! The food was amazing and the nature around the rooms was beautiful
This was our second time staying at this property. The 1st time we stay in a bungalow in the back and this time we stay in a room with 2 queen beds above the dining area. Our 1st time was fun and beautiful experience. This trip was not as fun, the room we stayed needs updating (room 22). The beds are like sleeping on the floor (really hard), left with sour back. Hotel area is nice but this room is dated, needs better door and furniture. The window near the restroom needs a blind, too much daylight in the morning and the guy fixing electrical can see in. Our first night the power went out at 3am and an emergency light came on inside the room. This was a bright light that was at around 12 feet height. I had to step on a table to reach it to cover with shirts. I went down to lobby area and other guest were there looking for help from staff, but no one was there. I wish they had a help number or an option to turn light off when power goes out. The power going out is out of their control if it was the city but bright light not letting guest sleep is not. The positive are the staff is really friendly, common area looks nice and breakfast is good. I will stay at this hotel if they update the rooms and change the flintstone beds. Is in a good location and lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
Very nice clean and tge food amazing
Cleanliness.
Great service and staff. Beautiful garden with a nice pool. Breakfast is good. Overall it is a great stay.
Beautiful location at the base of the Volcano.
Great staff, wonderful breakfast and easy access to the park.
The property is gorgeous! We had the standard deluxe room and it was great. No one above us and only one other room beside us, so quiet and serene. Monkeys ate from the mango tree every day on our balcony. Most importantly the bed is very comfortable and it has great pillows! Very private rooms situated throughout the property. The free breakfast had great choices and great food throughout the day. The only recommendation I have for the hotel is to replace the plastic glasses used in the room with actual glass. We did ask for some & they happily gave them to us. We had a lovely relaxing stay!!
Beautiful property, love the room nice and spacious and a nice patio, enjoyed the pool, great service, enjoyed the food and drinks as well, bus stop right outside you can use to go down to the beach
Fabulous Stay and Staff
I don't typically really enjoy or even entertain hotel restaurants but this one was truly an exception. We enjoyed every meal we had there and I actually preferred it over any of the other local restaurants, finding it more affordable as well. With our 11m in tow for the first time, we felt quite at home with the high chair available in the restaurant, it made things much easier. The pool was a welcomed respite after a hot and humid day out and about. The staff were all exceptional and the room was clean, cozy, and modern...the AC was fabulous. We also got to see some wildlife; a family of spider monkeys swinging about in the tree tops, an aguti, and an iguana.
Lovely hotel with many advantages
This was a lovely and comfortable hotel. The location was close to many restaurants, plus the onsite restaurant had a nice variety of tasty foods. Breakfast was included, and there were plenty choices. (The french toast was our favorite!) The grounds were lovely, including the pool, trees, flowers, and a water feature. The service was also very good.
The staff very friendly. The front desk girl, the one with the nose ring. Sorry am bad with names. She helped us with last minute trips. The guys that work the bar and restaurant were friendly and knowledge.
Amazing experience
The hotel is amazing, with a natural jungle court, rooms are spacious, we had the room facing the street, and it is not as nice as the rooms facing the garden, make sure to book these , the pool area has many monkeys visiting daily
The Falls resort in Manuel Antonio is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are clean and quaint. The staff is so friendly and helpful. It is centrallly located to go and eat every night at a different place and watch the sunset. We enjoyed our 50th wedding anniversary at The Falls
A stunning jungle oasis I that is close to Manuel Antonio. Staff were lovely and very helpful!
This property was very well kept and absolutely beautiful!! The front staff was very friendly and accommodating. After check out they allowed us to keep our luggage at the property while we enjoyed a beach day then took a swim and rinsed off before we headed out of town. I would definitely stay here again! The airplane restaurant is walking distance and the national park is 10 minutes away. Very convenient
Small property but very clean and the staff was great. Pool and bar area was very nice with great service. Food at restauarant was excellent as well
It is a beautiful property with lots of greenery. Food was great. Freshly made and great flavor.
Staff were beyond impressive … kind courteous and efficient
The food on property was amazing. It was a lovely place to stay and read. We didn't want to leave the hotel area because it was so lovely. It was easy to access local transportation, and also easy to walk to a few places.
Very pretty and quaint property. Room was plenty spacious for our family of 5. AC worked great. Pool was small but nice. Grounds are small but beautiful. Restaurant served the best breakfast of our Costa Rica trip (included in price). Lunch and dinner options at the restaurant were also very reasonable and good. Plenty of restaurant options within walking distance - we highly recommend Agua Azul. Minutes away from Manuel Antonio National Park.
It is a really great hotel to stay. The staff are super super nice with all the bookings and responds really fast to any questions and requests. The area is perfect next to the sea and near several great restaurants.
This property is a gem- doesn’t look like a lot from the road but once inside it is an OASIS - wonderful location and really good food / happy hour!!!
Best place to sty in Manuel Antonio
A small bottle of wine. Not everyone wants alcohol.
Lots of wildlife, especially monkeys and iguanas. Great food and pool.
Great property and service. I stayed there 9 years ago and it was as wonderful as back then. Highly recommended. Enjoy the Happy hour by the pool
Loved it!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was beautiful! The pathways through the jungle-like property between the lobby/pool/restaurant and our room was filled with birds, monkeys and an agouti. We sat in the hammock and chairs on the covered front porch if our casita and watched the curious squirrel monkeys and agouti come so close. The food at the restaurant was very good for dinner and breakfast. I would stay there again and recommend to others. Thank you!
Beautiful
Great place. Beautiful pool and nice tropical garden. Close to park entrance -about 6 minutes in a car. No regrets.
Great People Lovely Place fine stay.
Extraordinary helpful accommodating and genuinely friendly staff at all levels. Lovely romantic setting, good restaurant fine breakfasts. Needs brighter pass by turn on lights, higher handrails at stairs and Stylish ( or any) grab bars in shower / toilet. Convenient to all local adventures. Transportation usually included. You don’t want to drive these mountain roads especially at night.
Good overral experience. Nice pool. I had no extra for being a gold member. Room could be cleaner
Really enjoyed staying here. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was wonderful and the grounds are very pleasant. It was also very conveniently located for Manuel Antonio National Park and dining options.
Gem of a Place
My goodness what a gem this place is. Can't wait to go back.
Staff was great. Room was very comfortable. The food at the Falls restaurant was quite good
Loved this hotel! Great service from all of the staff. Liz at the bar and restaurant area was extremely friendly and helpful. Loved our stay at The Falls!
Our waiter Bryant was the best! He was very helpful and gave us great advice. We were a family of 5 and stayed in the apartment. Everything was great and the food was delicious. The pool was refreshing and the location is perfect.
Brilliant
Little bit of paradise within paradise. I love that from the outside it’s a very unassuming place and then you walk in to this wow place. The bedrooms & bathrooms are very spacious with big, comfortable beds and a great hammock outside. The pool is a reasonable size, with a good number of beds around and the whole setting is just magic. Breakfast is amazing! The food is ridiculously tasty. The cocktails are another big win (and happy hour is a great deal). The folks working here are also excellent, hugely helpful, accommodating, friendly and all adding to a wonderful experience. This is my 2nd time staying here and hopefully not my last!
Loved the resort!
We can't say enough about this resort. We just loved it there. The staff were amazing. From the moment we arrived we immediately feel Welcomed. Jonathan on the front desk was very helpful and patient resolving our issue with travel agency. Drinks made by Bryant at the bar were delicious and beautiful. The food from the restaurant was fresh and very tasty. The presentation of any food ordered from the menu deserve separate story . My simple breakfast burrito looked like piece of art ! In general , every restaurant we visited in the area were excellent with food presentation. The resort itself is so beautiful. The grounds are like a small private jungle full of sounds , specially in the morning . Very private and relaxing setting. Manuel Antonio park is short drive away on a local bus or taxi . The front desk staff ready to organize any possible excursions. Always book Manuel Antonio in advance . Thanks to everyone who made our holiday a great one! This is our second trip to the country and the best part of it as always friendly and simple people of Costa Rica !
Beautiful garden area. Lovely area to sit around the pool. Staff were extremely kind and helpful.
Great food, great facilities and great service Highly recomended
Not as advertised, located on busy street.
Not as advertised. The pictures and description make you feel like you're in the jungle. Nice and quiet isolated. That's not the case. It's on a busy street with a lot of businesses. A lot of big buses, bustling bars and restaurants with lots of noise. Not at all as advertised or what we expected. Kind of a bummer would not return.
Loved the beauty of the garden inside. Saw monkeys, iguanas, huge birds all in one day. Had a delicious dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The room was beutifully decorated and very clean. The service is outstanding, everything for a customer, with a beautiful smile and grace. Top notch hotel, would stay there again.
When you first arrive at the property it doesn’t look like anything special, but as you walk past the lobby onto the grounds it’s almost like your room is in the jungle! The pool is really refreshing and the staff were extremely friendly. We really enjoyed our time at this hotel and would recommend it for a quiet and relaxing spot for your visit to Manuel Antonio
The property and the staff were amazing. The food in the restaurant was great as well
Clean and nice. Wonderful Breakfast. Friendly front desk staff. Close to beach and national park.
The Falls is a wonderful lodging option when staying at Manual Antonio. Very friendly staff are ready to help whenever needed. Nice pool and good food options too. We loved the private jungle like setting with native animals and birds making appearances.
The staff was amazing. They were so friendly and accommodating, especially the dining room and bar staff. Next time we come we will definitely be staying here. Our room was beautiful, the grounds were beautiful as well.
Beautiful property built to incorporate the rainforest. Iguanas, monkeys, agoutis are all seen in the rainforest inside the hotel property. The staff are incredible and go above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing experience
We ended up deciding to change our plans that morning and I found THE Falls on line. I usually don't have high expectations. There are parking spots but on the road. From the outside it doesn't look like much but then you walk in and are almost transported to a different world. The staff were very nice and helpful. We were given a special fruit juice drink once we checked in. It's like a little tropical paradise. Monkeys, iguana, lizards. We ended up staying on the property for dinner because there was a massive storm. Dinner was yummy and reasonably priced. The only downfalls are that you can hear everything through the walls and there were some crying kids. We also had two beds. My bed was super hard, almost like a box spring and made a ton of noise. The next morning we had their breakfast. I thought it was yummy but my husband thought the burrito was a little small for him. We wished that we had more time there but had to move to our next destination. Was great especially for the price we ended up paying.
Staff was phenomenal. Out of their way to get anything you wanted. Grounds are amazing with wildlife like iguanas an d even a few monkeys on the roof tops. Excellent restaurant. Highly recommend staying here
Been staying here for 2 yrs.
MY stay was excellent as all ways, if possible I stay at the Falls (unless they are full) as I have been staying there for almost 2 years. The staff is friendly and courteous and always make you feel at home.
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, we really enjoyed the property and the service we received was exceptional from all staff members.
Lovely landscaping, good location, nice rooms, comfortable beds. Umbrellas provided in the rooms in case it pours.
Hospitality & personnel
My concerns were address immediately and sincere resolving them. AMEX is not their friend so, be prepared to pay with another credit card including the hotel. The staff were hospitable and friendly. You can't walk everywhere but have cheap transportation system to take you around or just catch a taxi. Overall, had a wonderful time with my family.
Wonderful hotel with outstanding surroundings
We absolutely loved our stay at The Falls! Coming from the main road, you would not expect such a nice hotel - it's a tropical garden with a very clean pool, great breakfast, wonderful staff, very private, clean and spacious rooms and - our highlight - amazing wildlife within the hotel garden. Monkeys, tucans, agutis, iguana - we saw everything. I would definitely book at The Falls again!
Do not let the front fool you; once you walk in the property is amazing. There is monkeys and iguanas all around. The bartenders and servers spoke english and were very helpful.
This property is intimate, quiet and serene. Monkeys visit often. Toucans stop by to visit. We opened our hotel room to the rainforest. The restaurant’s free breakfast is amazing as is their lunch and dinner menu. The room was super clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful. 5 stars for genuine Pura Vida in a paradise setting right in the heart of Manuel Antonio.
Great staff and location 😎
The property and staff were amazing. Was sad to leave and would absolutely stay here again.
Very spacious room. Excellent breakfast and courteous staff. Could hear noise coming from the room beside. Apart from that, excellent experience. Maria at the reception was very helpful.
Excellent option in Manuel Antonio, close to everything you need. A lot of great options for breakfast and lunch, and happy hour every day. We stayed at the apartment which was very comfortable with a lot of space, it is right by the main road so that could be a problem for light sleepers, but it worked for us. Everyone was very helpful and nice with excellent customer service.
Staff was friendly. Reception was a nice surprise. Food was delicious and the drinks were cold. Even had 2 umbrellas in the room in case of rain.
This hotel was the perfect experience! Not only did we love the delightful accommodation Restaurant bar, pool and Jungle Garden, the staff were absolutely the best. They arranged everything for our Wedding which was held in a terrace in the extensive gardens making it a truly beautiful and memorable setting and an experience we will treasure always. Special thanks to the whole team and in particular to Jonathan, Monica and Maria for all their extra effort on our behalf and turning out dream wedding into a reality. I will never forget how exceptional everything was for our two weeks of bliss!
We really enjoyed staying in a rainforest and being surrounded by different types of wildlife. The staff was amazing! We’ll definitely stay there again and highly recommend for anyone else.
Beautiful hotel with breakfast included. We absolutely loved how we were able to see so much wildlife from our hotel as well. Staff was very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend and return.
Nice room. Great staff. Location
I LOVED my stay. I was initially booked for three nights, but I enjoyed it so much that I added a night after some plans fell through. The front desk staff is amazing. They were incredibly kind and helpful. They assisted me in booking activities while I was in Manuel Antonio, and they had excellent recommendations. I also appreciated their willingness to converse with me in Spanish, and they were very encouraging about my learning! The dining staff was excellent as well. They were very attentive and fast. The food was great, especially the breakfast. The pool area is really lovely. I love the backdrop of the leaves and trees. I also LOVED my room. It was incredibly spacious and quiet. The bed was extra comfortable, and the minibar was perfect! I thought the bathroom was exceptionally large. I only wish that the bathroom had additional lighting. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping my room nice and well stocked. I cannot recommend this resort enough. If and when I come back to Manuel Antonio, I will be staying here!
