Value for money. Location is superb.

The hotel is at the heart of the city centre. It is really convenient to park your car and walking around. The shops also nearby and you can always find something interesting. We enjoyed our short vacation very much.

Not spacious.

The Explorer Hotel very near to Shopping malls , all walking distant about 5 min to 10 min . Very lively area n a lots of food around the hotel and also nearby McDonald opens 24 hrs. Hotel room is ok except the toilet is smelly although the toilet is clean. Something to do withthe smelly floor trapped. Hope hotel can improve n get rid of this stink smell.

Good location

It was a good stay. Comfortable, clean, convenient locations to malls and tourist attractions. The Wi-fi was fast too. However, the overall breakfast can be improve.

Locale is good. Short distance to the fame Jonker Street and Mahkota/Pahlawan shopping malls. Room size a bit small but okay for couple, the bedsheet is clean. But the sink tap is leaky. Will need repair. Otherwise, no complain.

So-So Sleeper

First night arrival and experienced the water spray cannot be stopped after pressing to wash up and the staff came in without removing shoe which blackened the floor cloth. I felt uncomfortable and ask for change of room then this process is fast. Value wise is good and sleep was ok.

Nice hotel near to big two shopping mall, good location, but rooms are very small. Need to improve toilet size.

Although room are small, but the bed, the things provide and the design can set as 5 star hotel already! If u sleep after 11 pm, the sound is no more already, I can sleep from night to morning directly, no any ghost also la hahahahhah, the best hotel for me to choose in joker walk

Comfortable stay and value for money. Great location as it is near shopping mall in town area. Overall cleanliness is Great except someone stick personal things on wall (yulk). Add 1 more dustbin in the room will be better. Slightly noisy at night.

Good location. Room amenities ok. But 1st check in the build in hairdryer suddenly turn on non stop. Luckily hotel immediately change room for me.

Hotel is next to Mokhota Parade and other shopping area. Walking distance to night market too.

The photo doesn't really reflect the hotel room. Small room and doesn't feel so comfortable inside, felt more like Hostel. The pathway from the lift to the room is without aircond. Toilet and cleanliness was acceptable. Receptionist is friendly and nice.

Weekend Getaway

This property used to be my favorite. I had stayed here a few times but this time it was AWFUL. Rooms were dirty, Dusty and not cared for, The room provided was without any view and faced an alley way where waste bins were kept. The amenities - Shower was BROKEN. NO SOAP. The coffee / tea sachets though complementary never had normal tea. Only Green Tea. The Breakfast was basic, Can get better breakfast opposite or at McD's. The room service was as good as non-existent as nobody every came to address these issues. Not sure if Hotels.com has any way to address this but I wouldn't consider going here again. OVERALL : DISSAPPOINTED,,,,

Strategic, Comfortable, Value for Money

The location is in the middle of the town where everything is at walking distance. They have free parking, so I can just park my car and do the all the exploring through walking. Shopping centres also very near for those who would like to shop. Room is comfortable and clean. Sufficient amenities. Nice breakfast. Staff are friendly. The room is a bit on a small side, but this hotel still exceeds my expectation.

Great location. There are many rooms in this hotel. But not worthy for the money in general. The wifi is unstable.

The hotel is very clean, and the staff is quite friendly and professional. However, the room is very small, and the hotel is rather loud. Overall, I would stay one night, but nothing more.

Right next to Mahkota Parade

It is located right next to Mahkota Parade. If you are driving, arrive early as the jam was pretty bad there during long holiday/weekend/public holiday. Overall cleanliness was good. However, I found some really short hair on the bed. Hope that hotel could improve the cleanliness on the bed. Breakfast was okay with the budget price we paid for the room. However, there is room for improvement. We enjoy our stay here.

Good location but eveything else is below par

Hotel was nearby everything and no need to take car out of car park as local sight seeing within walking distance. However the room is extremely small and not suitable for family. The breakfast at the sidewalk cafe is also pathetic. The workers are all foreigners and the food that was finished was not replenished. Overall the hotel was good only for location location location and nothing else. The

Excellent condition if you are on a budget.

Room is too small, and during night time, especially when everybody is sleeping, the sound proof of the hotel is so poor that you can hear people talking on the street. It is very annoying.

For the price we paid,the room worth it. But room is hot despite having air con...TV not clear and room is small...but staffs and location are great!!!

Close proximity to malls and transport.

Improvement needed with the aircon and bed. Bed is too hard and pillows should be a lot more thicker for better neck support. Aircon needs to be serviced as the 1st room we stayed had a heavy dust accumulation around the vent and the aircon was not blowing cold air. Housekeeping is fast to attend to our needs. We had to switch rooms the next day and staff was able to accommodate our request as it was a 4 night stay. Breakfast can be further improved though is acceptable for this hotel rating but slow in replenishing food for a simple breakfast and most guests ate minimum when there is minimum food left in the food warmers. Food need to be warm enough for guests to enjoy a hot breakfast. Stayed at this hotel 4 times and generally happy with the overall location as it is near to 2 main malls and bus service to Melaka Sentral (Panaroma Bus 17). I don't quite like the idea that a black cat was roaming at the breakfast area on one occasion and seem to be a pet to one of the restaurant staff that walks in the dining area and kitchen, pretty unsightly and unhygienic. Overall staff performance was good and check-in was quick. A small problem with a lost or not issued 2nd keycard issue but was resolved within 1/2 hour. Hotel rates sometimes work out to be more expensive for a 2-1/2 star hotel so best to stay when promotion rates is available with breakfast. I am sure the hotel would do all it can to take guests review seriously as I have seen positive changes since I last stayed.

Close to Malls and A Famosa

Pleasant stay very convenient for shopping foods pharmacy sightseeing etc. Also near to the upside down house and the famous Nadeje crepe cakes shop.

Good and new budget hotel in Melaka. Room is clean but small. Wifi is terrible inside the room once the door is closed but alright in the corridor and lobby. Shocked to find a bunch of hair inside a newly replaced towel but can request for new towel anytime.

Excellent location. Wifi not stable. The staff don't really know the area well if you need to ask for direction to places you want to visit. Late check out is up to 1pm. After 1pm you need to pay RM50 to keep the room till 4pm.

booked for two days, however, key card was coded for only one day. Room was not tidy up when back in the afternoon though request for room cleaning poster was put up early in the morning.

Great location but room was small

Stay was fairly comfortable overall, check in and check out was smooth. Room was small with not much space for luggage and no cupboards available. Generally quite clean. Great location as right beside shopping centres. Wifi worked well.

overall room is okay, borrow iron from front desk upon request, their is a bar/pub downstair, so when you sleep at around midnight , still can hear the loud bass music.

Location, Location, Location

Location of this hotel is superb. Just next to Mahkota Parade Shopping Centre. Room is quite tiny, but overall is good. Breakfast included. Their Nasi Lemak is great. Will stay again.

Convenient Location

Hotel location next to Makhota Parade Shopping Centre was very convenient, easy to access the eateries at Makhota and its Food Court. Also, near and within walking distance to Dataran Pahlawan MegaMall. Room was a bit small but otherwise clean and tidy. Will stay there again on next visit.

This is the best and affordable hotel and location. Just stone throw fm mahkota parade and walking distance to most interesting places and shpg ctr..hotel staff very friendly and helpful..eventhough room is quiet small but cosy..bed and pillows very comfortable..

hotel was close to shopping centre but further from jonker walk. basic amenities. no frills. except, there was mosquitos in the room. but i still prefer to stay nearer to jonker walk. if you prefer to shop at malls, this hotel is good.

Enjoyable layover

The hotel is nice, clean and smart looking not run down like a lot of MY 3 star hotels. It took us a little while to find the place but we eventually got there as the hotel entrance us facing the inner court yard. The rooms were small but expected being in the middle of town. The supplies provided by the hotel was basic: 2 towels and a floor mat. Sheets were clean and the mattress supports your back. Toilet is clean and well kept. The possible complaint was the slight thumping noise coming from the disco at 1am and because the hotel was nestled in inside with an eatery surrounding it, there is the smell of cooking fumes in some parts of the lift lobby. Thankfully, the rooms are affected by it.

Disappointed with the size.

Noisy. The classic room with 3beds is crampy. TV was too small and the aircon blow directly to the beds. Although location of the hotel is ideal but overall feels small and uneasy. Seems like a budget hotel.

Clean, simple and elegant

Staff not so friendly, room clean and includes water, tea/coffee/kettle, toothbrush/paste, flat screen TV (English channels a bit fuzzy) and aircon. The room is clean and very comfortable. The shower is enclosed in glass, so no wet floors! Request an upper level floor (4 floors) as there is a nightclub downstairs (or wear earplugs). KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Starbucks and many shops nearby. Great location.

Nice stay and hotel

Went on labour day, the hotel was full house. However staff was attentive and helpful for all enquiries that was being asked. Downside will b the music in the club was very loud even until 3am despite staying at the highest level 4. But the bed is very comfy and the room is clean. Its very convenient as well to go to all shopping malls. If you have a car, it is very safe to park in the hotel and there is security guard. However, do not go on a international PH, as the jam to the hotel is only 5 mins drive can take up to 40 mins. Will stay again in the future

A nice Budget Hotel

A nice budget hotel near main shipping area in Melaka as well as Jonker Street. Rooms are in good condition as it is a relatively new hotel. However, you need to call the reception everyday to ask them to clean the room as if you do not call them, they will not clean the room. When I was there, Wifi was down for 3 days which is quite a bad experience.

Everything just a walking distance eventhough the room a bit small. Breakfast need to be upgraded with variety of food.. I'm definitely will stay at this hotel if come to Melaka again.

Clean room, convenient location

We stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were comfortable and clean but small and did not have cupboard or place to keep your stuff. The hotel is conveniently located near tourist attractions. The staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The room is very small and there is no place to place your bags and stuff that you bought. The water pressure is very low that makes it difficult to complete your bath( takes longer time). The PUB music is too loud which affected our sleep.We stayed for 4D3N

Room & Location

The room tend to be small. It is not sound proof and tend to be quite noisy where the sound came from the corridor and the music from the ground floor. As for the location, it is excellent, walking distance to the shopping mall.

Pleasant Hotel

My friend and I checked in on 21 Nov 2014. The room was clean. The bathroom is not too small. However, the air-conditioner was blowing directly at my bed which made me feel very cold for the 2 nights stay there.

The hotel is strategically located to visit the tourist attractions in Melaka. However, the hotel was way over priced.

Location is very central. Overall hotel is nice & comfy but room amenities could be improved better with a mini fridge & basic cable tv channel. On the whole nice stay

Basic hotel with good location

This hotel location is great as it is in central location to shopping malls n Jonker street. Room size is small but it is clean . Breakfast variety is minimum with coffee/toast, porridge, rice/noodles , baked beans/ham. The dishes are cold , they dun put enough food warmers.
