Excellent location, right next to the monkey forest. Good condition of the hotel. However, rooms are quite small and you can hear the noise from the corridor. Staff are friendly and easily approachable. They have organised bikes and activities for us during the stay on request. Special mention on the food, breakfast is worth a try and the food at the restaurant is highly recommended and comes at a reasonable cost. The rooftop pool area was clean and relaxing. Definitely worth staying here if you don’t mind small spaces.

Everything was good except the wifi

Stay been good except bed linens were good old. Visibly worn off and yellowish. Toilet was not well cleaned. Tiles with yellow lines and stains were a sign of not well cleaned. It was an uncomfortable sight.

Positives: perfect location to walk to restaurants and make monkey Forrest. I would stay at this hotel again due to value for money and location. Negatives: the pool, some basic fixes - repair broken umbrellas and clean those disgusting dirty tiles.

Great location near the monkey forest with lovely welcoming staff. The breakfast was good, not a huge variety but all food was fresh and yummy. Lots of shops, spas and restaurants on the street. The only downside was that our floor (3) was quite noisy at night. We’re unsure if it was other guests or staff, but people were calling down the hallway and repeatedly opening/closing doors in the early morning both nights.

The property is in a good location. The rooms are really small if a couple has two luggage and carry-on it leaves for a tight squeeze. There was no place to store clothing and only a place to hang up a few things. Our room was cleaned well by the staff, but the shower had a curtain shade which had mold on it. The showers could use new caulking as there was mold there as well. Not very pleasant to see that knowing it would not cause much to fix. The breakfast included was good, something for eveyone. Again, staff was friendly. The pool area looks amazing in the photos, sadly needs a lot of updating and did not look as nice when we arrived. Nice little paddle pool for kids, tiles were missing and loose in some areas. Pool was nice. All in all the stay was nice, lot’s of nice restaurants in the area, Monkey forest down the street which also has a free shuttle that will take you to the Ubud Market. Grocery store right around the corner. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

In the city

Great location! Very close to the city. Make a left and it’s only a few minutes walk to the Monkey Forest. Staff was nice and very accommodating. The welcome drink was a nice touch. Breakfast was okay, average. The only issue I had was the shower. Water kept coming out and getting the floor wet. Otherwise, great stay.

Clean and friendly

The hotel was nice and clean, the staff were friendly and prompt. Our air conditioner wasn’t the best and they tried to fix it, but never worked great. The breakfast wasn’t very good at all and we are not picky eaters.

I stayed here recently and would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and compact. Breakfast was excellent , just a few steps away from the monkey forest.

Cheap and cheerful

Nice place, nice and quiet with lovely rooftop pool. Convenient location - close but not too close to all the racket, and very close to the Monkey forest. Asian Breakfast was good, but the Western breakfast wasn't. Good value for money.

Room is not as advertised, staff not friendly

Booked a 2 twin bedroom, confirmed, but was given 1 bed. When I asked to switch, there were not other rooms despite being confirmed. Also, be aware, it says rice field view, that's only selected rooms. We were given a room facing a loud bar, and no view of rice fields. Overall, the room was okay but it just was not what was advertised. Which isn't okay.

Improvement needed

1) Provide hairdryer in room and bath mat please 2) Don’t just give connecting rooms if guest did not ask for one 3) Provide better soundproof between rooms (loud TV & conversations can be heard late into th night) 4) Better cleaning needed for basins

The hotel location is ok. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good pressure. The room a bit small. The bag rack could only hold your bag closed as it was to small. The air conditioner leaked about a bucked of water onto the floor. The aircon also sucked the polluted air into the room causing the room to smell of burning plastic. The pool & restaurant was on the roof but due to constant rubbish burning the smoke blanketed the fooftop so the air was hard to breath.

Location is perfect. Roof top pool is awesome. Room was great. A few tiny ants would show up around the coffee everyday, they are no longer with us. The good markets and food are about 15minute walk north, monkey forest is 5minute west. Booked our tours at a shop across the street. Supermarket 2minutes to the east. Perfect.

Amazing staff, great room, and beautiful view

We had an amazing time in Ubud at Evital Resort! We were able to check-in early and our room was super clean with housekeeping available everyday. It was in a great location close to the Monkey Forest (walking distance) and main road. Far away enough from all the party backpackers but still close enough to grab cheap delicious food and explore. The rooftop pool was a HUGE highlight of our trip with such a beautiful view overlooking the rice paddies. Would highly recommend to backpackers and families alike!

Staff at the Evitel are super friendly and helpful. Housekeeping everyday made the bed and replenished towels, water, tea and coffee and toiletries. The balcony and view of the rice fields was amazing and the room in general small but was comfortable. Unfortunalty the bedsheets and pillow cases had some holes and stains due to wear and tear. The pool and surrounding area was nice to sit and sunbathe. Didn’t try the restaurant as many eateries close by. But otherwise a lovely place to stay.

The roof top pool and the view are amazing. great length to swim in the morning. sunrise from the roof top are spectacular! We stayed a week and the stuff was very very helpful and concerned that you felt comfortable and happy. The hotel is close to busy roads, but nevertheless quite quiet and we could sleep very well. The room size is small and the bathroom even smaller, but you know it when you book it. so nothing to complain. The room service is quick, the rooms are clean, the towels are fresh and the bed is comfortable. The yoga barn centre is a 3 minutes walk away, great for Yogys. Many great restaurants close by. as well shopaholics will be happy with this location. They could improve with the breakfast. I missed a fresh fruit juice, a fruit salad or some more different kind of fruits. The watermelon was ok, the rockmelon was not eatable and the bananas were gone quickly. No papaya, no pineapple, .... Also the coffee was overcooked (bali kopi) and some of the traditional balinese food on the buffet. But that is just my way to eat. If you like toast and omelettes, or other fresh eggs in the morning, you will be fine :) Nevertheless, we will go back there. We felt very grounded and peaceful. Thank you again for the great time we had.

Nice hotel close to Monkey forest

We stayed here 4 nights and our hotel was nice, bed was comfortable and staff was really nice. When we booked through orbitz, it did say breakfast was included but when we got there they said it wasn't, we don't know if it was the hotel's mistake or orbitz. Location is good, close to Monkey forest and walking distance to a few restaurants and bars. Their gym is pretty much a treadmill and a stationary bike. The pool and views from there are the best, only thing is we were on the 3rd floor and we could hear people dragging chairs since the restaurant was right above us. Overall, nice hotel close to everything.

I stayed here 2 weeks and Antari and her staff at the front desk did a great job. They were friendly and always eager to help. This hotel is in great proximity to both the Yoga Barn and hubud...just a few minutes walking. It’s easy access to Hanuman Street and the Monkey Forest where there are plenty of great organic restaurants and boutiques. Checkout KAFE and Mama Mia both really good. The breakfast was good and they made fresh omelettes and the rooftop where breakfast was served had a beautiful view. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great hotel

This hotel is located walking distance from Yoga Barn. It is a great location to explore Ubud. Rooms are small but comfortable, the staff is nice and they include a good breakfast buffet. The only advice that I would have for them is to get new towels. The ones they currently have are old and in bad condition, which takes away from the overall look of the hotel.

Mixed review

The hotel is in good place, off main street near bars, shops, monkey forest. However despite the signs saying spa, there is no spa. Staff keen, but a bit disorganised. Repeatedlyno beer in bar. Room on ground floor had balcony next to rice fields and ducks, gorgeous! Little storage space in room, but lovely bed and bathroom. Rooftop pool, lounges and sofas lovely.

The hotel was close to many small restaurants and shops, right outside the front enterance or surrounding streets. The view from the the roof top restaurant was lovely, a great place to have the buffet breakfast every morning. There is a bit of noise in the evening on one side of the hotel from a nearby bar, but not really a problem if you don't go to bed early as we do. The rice paddy view side of the hotel is quiet. We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Good location and Beautiful pool area

Had a good stay at Evitel Resort. The location was great, walking distance to monkey forrest and good cafes. Rooms were small but for the price they suited well. Only cons were the condition of the hotel towels and how noisey the air conditioning in the room was.

Great location to the Yoga Barn

Great location, great price, great service. Very close to the Yoga Barn and the local supermarket so it worked out very well Terrible pillows, too hard For a new hotel, the towels let the place down. The hotel wasn't there two years ago when I went to Ubud but the towels look older than that. They were abit grey and some had holes. The rooms are tiny The balconies all seem to have a nice view Comfortable stay except for the pillows. Everything else was great values

Lovely cheap hotel . Staff are very polite. Location brilliant . Downside you can hear every little noise once your in your room. But you get what you pay for.

Clean but lots of ants

Room was excellent however there were many ants on the bedside tables which eventually reached the bed. We must've killed at least 15 ants in our two night stay. Besides that, our room was very clean.

In Ubud to see monkey forest and rice terraces

Nice hotel away from the busiest street- great location. Room was small but clean and cozy. Only complaint was the air conditioning was slow to cool off the room and then you have to take your card out to leave. We jimmied it however using a credit card and left ac on all day so we could come back to a cool room!!

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. The rooms are comfy, modern and hotel is located in excellent location. Strong wifi and AC worked well. Breakfast was okay and there could have been more options, pretty basic. The view from the room was nice as it was overlooking the rice fields. Overall would definitely stay here again.

Great position next to Monkey Forest and Yoga Barn

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is right next to the Sacred Monkey Forest and across the road from the Yoga Barn. The rooms are small but clean and functional with a nice view over rice fields. The roof top pool is a great place to relax (although they could do with some more loungers as there are only four and they go very quickly). We would definitely come back again.

The hotel is smart and new with magnificent views over rice paddies from the rooftop. The infinity pool ,a welcome cool down in Ubud, overlooks the green fields and paddies. The only let down is the too mediocre buffet breakfast. For three days the quality of the fruit was bad, the hot choices unappealing. Disappointing for this class and price. However the service at every level was excellent and friendly.

Ultimate Ubud location

This hotel has the ultimate prime location because it is on the intersection of the one way monkey forest road. This allows you to bypass traffic if you want to go back out of Ubud. It is close to the taxi stand and supermarket too.

Booked through Expedia, all room bookings had complimentary breakfast advertised, when we arrived we were advised it was not included and then upon entering the room the hotel information booklet also said complimentary. I discussed this with the staff they told me it's only complimentary if you pay for it????!!! They were totally unhelpful, didn't care nor listen to me I also showed them the Expedia site with the room options and all stated it included breakfast. They then also had the arrogance to burst out laughing between themselves when I walked away! Very disrespectful! Hotel rooms was cramped, no where to actually store your suitcases, cleanliness was average. Pool shuts at 7pm, it's 30 degrees at this time of night! Restaurant was also very highly priced compare to local restaurants. Overall very disappointed and would not recommend!!!

Roof-top Pool, Huge Breakfasts Elevate Evitel

This is a new hotel at the end of The Monkey Forest Road in Ubud, convenient to restaurants, bars, shops, and a grocery store.. Although its entryway and interior are modern and bland and rooms conventional (business-hotel-like), the bed/pillows are first-rate and the views from the roof are excellent as is the pool and sun-deck and the all-you-can-eat 4-hour breakfast buffet. However, the satellite channels are limited and erratic, but the TV is quality flat-screen. Amenities are refreshed daily if needed and each room overlooks the paddies on the north side. The staff is friendly and the air-con adequate and hot water sufficient, except late at night. I would recommend this hotel for its affordability, location, and the above positive points.
