It is located next to the subway station but is a little far from the center of Shanghai.
Nice fascilities and hotel room. Nearby to lots of attractions
Just beware of it's hand soap. It's very strong.
Great value in Shanghai
Great location. Close to most attractions. Good value. An old-fashioned full service hotel.
The location was great, the hotel nice, clean and well connected
Awesome room, quite spacious. The metro line is right in front of the hotel. Loved 😍 it
Very nice view to LujiaZui good value for money recommended
Excellent choice close to metro and to business district. We loved the hotel and staff
good
Excellent choice for the price!
Room is reasonable sized. Bed is too hard for comfort and pillow too soft. Hotel entrance is a short distant to the metro line 2 and 14. Eatery and Family mart is just beside the hotel.
Good location with convenient transport, good service and kindly staff ( Kevin Zhang) help a lot. Rooms are very nice with water views.
Very nice hotel with large rooms
4 Nights in Shanghai
Room is big, cleaning lady service top notch and helpful. Water pressure, bath tub solid, clean. Solid beautiful view of outside due to high floor #33. Location of hotel was good with convience stores beside. Breakfast was decent at best. Room lighting too dim for my liking. Pillow way too soft that i need to stack bath towel on top to make it firm, internet not as fast and good as I hope otherwise all else are good. Will like to try other hotel in a more vibrant place next time.
Very nice place for stay , highly recommend
Walkable location to main sightseeing, restaurants and shopping.
Convenient location clean
Great place to stay. Bed and room is clean and tidy. Conveniently located between 2 metro lines. Line 14 also directly connects you to Lujiazui and Yu Garden and direct buses to the aquarium. There is a family mart 1 min away from the hotel Breakfast had limited options though - more China style than western.
Great hotel and location
Worst hotel in Shanghai
The check in service was bad … we had a 80!year old lady and a 3 years old boy. They put our rooms so far apart and also on different floor. I asked for the same fooor but the room is very much smaller and the price is the same. On the typhoon day, water was leaking in through the window. I will never stay here again.
Excellent location

Decent location and ok price Older hotel but does the job
This was a fantastic room; spacious with a great tub with TV. The hotel was great and close to several shopping and dining options. Definitely recommend.
Hotel ist nich ganz sauber. Zimmer sind alt und Renovierung bedürftig. Frühstück ist sehr eingeschränkt Personal freundlich.
Breakfast choices are great, however food and drinks are not hot.
Great location right next to subway line 4 exit Breakfast is good with east and west options
Clean and nice
The hotel was amazing, we got a room with great view, and it’s very clean.
Although a few of the facilities were under renovation like the pool, bar and spa…we were notified of it. This did not take away from the fact that it is an Amazing Hotel. Best breakfasts by far. Walkable to the Brand Mall, Pearl Tower etc. or just a $5 DDI ride. We will definitely return to Shanghai and only stay at The Eton. Total value for the money. A
Very good clean place to stay
Took too long to have hot water runs out.
Stunning room
Very Good! Close to metro, would recommend
Spacious room with bathtub
Nothing like the description
The hotel has alot of false advertising. None of the facilities such as the bar, pool, spa exist. No idea how its classed as a 5 star hotel when it should at best be a 3.
As a gold expedia member and someone that has extensive experience when it comes to travelling, I will say from the get go that we did not feel welcome on arrival. You could probably replace the staff with robots for a better experience. In fact there was never any greeting initiated by the staff throughout our stay. Our room was tiny, which caught us off guard as we’d seen spacious rooms advertised online. The breakfast was limited in comparison to most hotels, as the salad and fruit section heavily lacked in variety, or even the choice of spreads for your toast - you only have the choice of butter, weirdly. It should also be noted that there are restrictions on what you can and can’t wear at the gym to be granted access. The positive was that the hotel is directly outside the metro entrance/exit, and there is a convenience store and mixue nestled on the sideline of the hotel, which we found to be quite convenient during our stay.
Great views and convince to public transportation
Overall is excellent. Staff is nice. Location is convenient. Room has a great view
Staff were great Food was ok Rooms dated, not clean Many facilities not open , pool, bar, restaurant
Good place right next to the metro. Easy to travel around the city and to the airport.
Close to Pudong CBD, Easy access to Metro.
Fantastic hotel
Absolutely fantastic hotel. Great location right next to the metro. Staff are super helpful and professional. Room was spacious with everything we needed. One of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever had in a hotel. Lots of restaurants nearby. Thank you for making our trip to Shanghai such a memorable experience.
Excellent
Breakfast was great, good value for the money but I have had similar quality at Holiday inn Shanghai before. People are very nice and helpful; The rooms are very clean but a little bit aging for the spa. Overall rating is 4.5 over 5. Thanks for suggesting this hotel combined with the plane ticket.
Great location just next to the metro. Available restaurant everywhere. I thought the front desk staff was a bit new and I didnt like that i have to collect my laundry at the frontdesk because they didnt took sufficient deposit. Aside from that, rooms were big tho carpets could be cleaner.
Beautiful hotel, reception etc, however the room are a little tired and in need of an update. The view was fantastic as was the staff. The entertainment (TV) was extremely basic....this also needs an upgrade. Overall my experience was great, so the negative points didn't spoil my enjoyment of staying at the Eton....that said i don't think it really rates as a 5 star experience. Closer to 4.
Nice and clean. Great location. Easy transportation to anywhere by subway lines right next to it.
I am going to say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in! Amazing room, service, breakfast and views. Location is Pudong Ave Metro Station, Exit 1, 7a or 7b.
Please keep up the good work, thank you!
Nice location and friendly staff!
good value close to bund amazing views at night from my room
Good place to stay in Pudong.
I had an executive room on the 30th floor with a great view. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. Buffet breakfast was excellent. And the Metro exit no. 7 one stop north on line 4 that intersects with line 2 from both airports) is right at the frontdoor. Walking distance to the Shanghai tower and Jinmao tower.
Brilliant hotel easy to get t via different options , room was with a great view of the city and would recommend and I would return.
Terrible hotel, dirty room and rude staff. Stay away
Awesome stay, will come again for sure
Awesome 10 days business + vacation stays. Close to SNIEC, Train station Pudong Avenue is right outside the hotel, assessable to many places of interests. Room is clean, bed is comfy, shampoo and body shampoo are of quality, which is great. Comes with breakfast that serves a little of both Chinese and western breakfast. As its level 39 at executive, can see part of Huangpujiang, and great view of Shanghai world financial center and part of oriental tower.
Executive room has nice view. Location and service are good. Breakfast is great

8-night stay in Shanghai
Excellent suite for parents and adult child. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location in Pudong with Metro station just outside hotel entrance. Only downside is cigarette smoke getting into room via vents, luckily mostly limited to bathroom area. Overall an enjoyable stay. Thank you.
Walkable to most areas, taxi always on site. Staff was very helpful
Clean
Great stay at Eton Hotel Shanghai! The room view was breathtaking, and being near a metro station, Pudong Metro Avenue exits 1 and 7B are the closest, made exploring the city and accessing the airport a breeze. There are lots of coffees shops nearby and the small one connected to the hotel offers a great selection and quality beverages. Concierge services assisted me with booking taxis on Didi app, for the service I paid the concierge in cash and they gave me a receipt. I would recommend for both convenience and stunning views!
value for money. Had a plasent stay.
Very bad
Very bad staff they forget get a copy of my passport when I was in the way to the airport they called had to go back to the hotel to be late for my flight Very bad never will be again in this hotel!!!!
Very good
Very good hotel and in excellent location.
Convenient location for my trips in the city. Good view over the river.
Decent value considering the price paid. The housekeeping lady was friendly and the location is right across the road from exit 1 of pudong avenue station. The room was clean and the view from our room on the 31 floor was amazing. The facilities were old as wear and tear were pretty visible. Some of the restaurants and facilities within the hotel were closed thus might be considered as an incomplete experience.
No air con
Somewhat tired interior but there is No air conditioning. Perhaps lost in transaltion but it apparently only blows air around, I complained and got moved to another room same problem. I had to get housekeeping to open the windows for some relief but then had to put up with the noise and polution all night.
Hotel was immaculate and got complementary room upgrade!
Great option for a short stay
Very upset with the staff not being able to speak in English and also extremely upset for not being able to use the air conditioner and the constant cigarette smell coming through the ventilation.
See above
Great property for both leisure and business travel, the rooms are very big and have a great view of the city! I would highly recommend!!!
nice location
It was a very pleasant hotel....
All good. Our room had a large bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower cubicle. The size of the bathroom meant that the bedroom part of the room was smaller than perhaps it could have been but it was still perfectly adequate with a double bed, two chairs, a table, a fridge, a wardrobe, a luggage rack, etc. It was roomy enough. Unfortunately the pool at the hotel was not available during our stay but this may have been a post-Covid hangover.
Love this hotel. :)
I love staying in this hotel. As a matter of fact, I have been here many times. I would always occupy the room that overlooks the river that is why I enjoy my stay here every time. The breakfast is truly satisfying with lots of options. The staff are accommodating and hospitable. Will surely come back again.
terrible hotel
definitely will not come back to this hotel. room is outdated. shower area is filthy. air conditioner blows like a fan only. location is not strategic. breakfast is very standard.
Good value in Pudong
There is a subway by the hotel but nothing really around but houses. We always used a Didi to get where we wanted to go. It’s a value in my opinion in expensive Shanghai. The room is nice and large but the furniture is showing it’s age. We stayed in a few hotels on this trip and this one was the only one with the indoor pool closed. Breakfast was pretty good. We are buffet lovers and we have had much better than this and also much worse. It’s a middle-range breakfast buffet. Overall for the price in Shanghai...if we needed Pudong again...we would stay here again.
Carpet in my room, needed to be updated. It was riddled with stains, and looked dirty. Service was great, bed and bathroom was good.
The service overall and especially at fitness Center was exceptional
New subway construction next to the hotel is a bit off-putting so room rate was very competitive and small additional cost to include breakfast.. King bed was extra large and comfy. Great location next to subway stop.
Hygiene is very good and quiet enough with safety.
A little pricey but nice hotel, great location, delicious wide variety breakfast and that was 170 Chinese dollars.
The hotel is very old, needs a renovation. Good location in front of a train station. Breakfast is really good.
The property was nice and offered a lot of amenities and dinning options onsite. They also were near good shopping malls. Great location! I would recommend that the Spa staff members remember to have proper etiquette as their prices are very high with low quality massages by their masseuses. Overall, the hotel was great! Their housekeeping staff was kind and efficient. Room service was quick and the food was very good! Thank you Eton Hotel!
Bad!
We had a cup of apple juice. Look at it, so dusgusting. The restaurant has not come back to us on the investigation findings.
The wifi connection is non existence
The wifi internet speed is non existence , this is the only complain I have , but this is also the most thing I expect to!!
Very good
Location is good..din like the amenties in room was not complete..no toothbrush and toothpaste..
Smoke free?
The hotel was beautiful and the food exceptional but it failed as a non-smoking hotel, apparently the staff uses the restrooms for their cigarette breaks and for someone sensitive to smoke this was extremely annoying.
The property is well priced and conveniently located close to the centre of Pudong.
Great stay in general.
Great Stay. Just what you need for a business or pleasure trip, in front of Line 4 Metro, and with a spectacular view of the Financial District and the Bund. Clean nice spaces, good service all around. My only would be the lobby where you have Option A. Sit a a literally 3 chairs REST Area or go to the prohibited lobby lounge where to sit you have to consume and the cheapest is a Diet Coke for $9 USD. The Wifi was also intermittent and that for a business trip could be tricky.
Awesome room with a view
Excellent Hotel with fantastic rooms. Across the road from the Metro, so getting around was made easy. Breakfast was a bit ordinary.
Nice breakfast with many choices. Very close to subway exit.
Excellent stay. Recommended for families.
Great stay! The hotel is very nice, we had a room on the 32nd floor with a magnificent view of the skyline of Shanghai. Buffet breakfast hag a great variety of Chinese and western food. Hotel is not in the center, but it is well located, and the metro station is just across the street (Line 4, Pudong Avenue). There are two convenience stores in the plaza where the hotel is located. Good Wi-fi.
niceservice, clean room, location is not the best but for the price paid, it’s okay.
This used to be one of the best and most reasonably priced hotels in Pudong but there has been no obvious investment or expenditure on it since opening. Getting a bit tired and less attentive. A great shame.
I like the service and location of the hotel, which easily access the public transportation. The overall service is great but the carpet is kind wore out and some of the furniture show the age.
