Fine for the price. Breakfast included
Mediocre Food
We understand that the hotel is being renovated. We did not get one of the renovated rooms. As such, the flooring was warped and coming up and the lighting was poor. We had to slam the door hard in order to get it to lock. The breakfast seemed nice, but they added dairy products ti a lot og the food, and being lactose intolerant, I was unable to eat many items, especially the scrambled eggs. Many items on the buffet were cold, although they were on the hotplate,
A simple place to stay if your plan is to be out and about all day. No frills, small elevators (two trips to go up with bags), boutique feel, very kind staff willing to be very accommodating of bag storage and other requests during the stay.
Great location.
Overall our stay was ok. We received an upgraded room from a very friendly manager who was excellent after an inconvenience. She did an excellent job and helped us have a better experience. One note is that the pillows in the room are not comfortable, they are and thick. Not comfortable sleeping on something like that. Also both rooms we had were missing soap to wash our hands. We were told to use the Sampo....Overall nice hitel, prime location. Free parking wasnt available, it cost us lots of money to park near the hotel at the mall.
Love that he had several channels for TV. It was nice that I could watch the NFL on sunday
Great property, staff and feeling. This is the best time to visit Israel!
Great place
The Eldan was clean, had friendly service, offered an amazing breakfast, is shabbat feiendly, and was located centrally to amazing places. We would be happy to stay there again.
Great hotel in a great location
We stayed at the eldan for 4 nights in June 2024. We are a family of 4 and didnt think to ask in advance to have conjoining rooms, but they put our rooms close on the same floor which was very nice. Sharon at checkin is fantastic. She gave us a parking spot under the hotel (free parking is sort of rare here!) the lot it tight and you may need a navigator to get you in and out, but free is free! The hotel is easy walking distance to yaffo gate to the old city. Breakfast was big and delicious, all fruits and veggies fresh, and the chef came out and checked on us at every meal. We also ate two Shabbat meals there which were both delicious and very convenient. There are fruits and water out all hours if you need a little snack too. Great hotel in a great location!
Amazing location
Small but friendly hotel in a fab location. Food was delicious and great variety. Staff very nice and helpful. Have already rebooked!
I like the location, walking distance to the Old City.
Convenient, good valued hotel in a pleasant area
Hotel is very well situated for all the sites.Very comfortable good sized room and bed. Plenty of wardrobe hanging and shelf space. There were 2 issues in the room when I arrived. These were very quickly resolved within half an hour. The staff were all helpful and pleasant. Very nice tasty breakfast cereals, lots of salad and a selection of hot foods :eggs, vegetables and borekas. Juices and hot beverages. Very filling foods!
Great vibes
Beautiful hotel and area great for easy access to Old City. Relaxing lobby and very good restaurant.
A nice niche type hotel in a perfect location and accommodating staff, strongly suggest.
Great.
Very ordinary and over pricef
Great place to stay, very peaceful, clean and great helpful staff. Highly recommended places.
Was good
Great location
This hotel is close proximity to old town Jerusalem, walking distance of restaurants & shopping. Our room was comfortable, although the bed was a little too firm for me. Breakfast was fantastic. They arranged for taxi pickup at Tel Aviv airport upon our arrival. Taxi driver Raed was great - we even hired him for a day of site seeing next day. Overall a decent price for what we received.
Very nice neighborhood
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Location is the best in town. Closest to Mamila and walking to Jaffa gate. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff is wonderful! Would definitely stay here again.
nice quiet place
No TV, No Hot water, and it smells
Hotel has shabbos elevator, shabbos meals, great breakfast. Easy to get to kotel
Conveniently located. price point is so so
Great location
Great!
Everything was super. Have been before and hope to come again.
We had a great stay at the Eldan Jerusalem.
Very good! The parking was a bit confusing and limited, but once we got it, it was great! They had a great breakfast and the rooms were comfortable
Location location location!
just ok
We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel was convenient and an easy enough walk to the old city. Condition of room was ok. Bathroom shower constantly leaked all over the bathroom floor when in use. As a foreigner, I did not know what was being served at breakfast; signs would have been helpful. Front desk staff not very knowledgeable with anything relating to directions or otherwise. If i had a choice to stay again, I would select another hotel.
The dining staff was great, the front staff seemed undertrained. Toilet didn’t work properly, fridge was iffy, the lock to the room was jamming occasionally, only one glass in the room, a cup was dirty. Very well located.
Great stay, shabbat friendly, great breakfast
Place is nice. Note parking is hard. Breakfast is great.
Nice property with a nice place to drink coffee or a beer outside. Room not bad. Bathroom small
Pleasant Stay
Although a very brief stay, I was very comfortable there. Breakfast served was very good. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend staying there and hope to visit again.
Clean, friendly, good location
The rooms were clean, the food for breakfast was excellent, the staff was very friendly 😊 I would stay again.
I had a very nice time stay here and the young girl who helped me in the morning did a very great job helping me getting to my next destination early in the morning! I thank her! Sincerely, Ron
Our bathroom was inaccessible. I went to the lobby and the maintenance took 15 minutes to come up to our room. He couldn't get the bathroom door open and said he was going downstairs to get some tools. He never showed up. I found out later that it was the end of his shift and he just went home. His replacement finally got the door opened, but not before telling me to just use the lobby bathroom. It was ridiculous.
The location was excellent. The breakfast was too expensive. The shower had mold in it, otherwise the building was well kept.
Great Location
The hotel is in a great location, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall this is a great option to stay close to the Old City.
I didn't know it was a Kosher hotel. If I knew I would have stayed elsewhere. Parking was terrible and Saturday aven the coffee had to instant. The staff was nice but ther service was usbstandard
Nice find in Jerusalem
Clean and comfortable. Excellent location for walking to the Old City, City Center, Machane Yehuda.
Safe, great location, AC worked well, updated room, great price. Room small but still comfortable and had good shelving to unpack into.
The Eldan is a real nice mid priced boutique hotel good location easy access to taxis & tours rooms were comfy good wifi tv was adequate I'd recommend taking the b'fast plan as individual b'fasts are rather expensive but all in all well worth staying there
The room was very small, specially the bathroom
Amazing stay. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. Place was very clean. And location was excellent!
Restaurant choices and time should improve !
Best attriute about the El-Dan is its location. It is not one of the fancy hotels in Jerusalem, but is reasonably priced and is in a good location to walk to sites in the new city and old.
Great location!
Great location, right off the Manilla mall. Walking distance to the old city, Manilla, and mahane yehuda. Very Shabbat friendly.
The hotel room was clean enough, but I wouldn't take a blacklight to it. The staff was helpful and the location was great. Very convenient walking distance from a lot of restaurants, markets, tour meet ups, etc. The hotel breakfast is a bit pricey, so we didn't eat there. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. I do wish they opened for dinner or lunch as well. Due to the odd placement of the seals on the shower door it wouldn't close properly and flooded the bathroom floor a bit, nothing that couldn't be soaked up with a couple towels though. For the price it was a good option.
Found room dirty
Great property for the price; helpful staff ; great location
It was good value for the money. The location was perfect.
Hotel was advertised as remodeled. Definitely not. Lobby is nice. Upper floors old. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom old.
Go Somewhere Else
I should have read the reviews more carefully. The bathroom and towels were filthy, the floors dirty, hot water didn’t work, and the toilet kept running. The heat is either on or off, so you have to get up several times in the middle of the night to adjust it. The internet YV is spotty, and housekeeping is very loud.
Staff was so accommodating to our needs.
Very small room.
An excellent small hotel with the family atmosphere at the center of everything and priced reasonably Will definitely come back.
Beautiful
Hotel was very conveniently located to the Old City. Food was delicious and plentiful. Service was friendly and efficient.
Good Location-Bad Wifi and Front Desk Team
Location is very good-close to old town. Breakfast is very good. Front desk staff is not helpful, rooms are not very nice, wifi did not work all of the time. TVs are connected to the wifi so they did not work at times. Bathroom faucet was not really attached to the sink, toilet did not flush completely all of the time. If you do not care about wifi and a nice room, then this is a good place to stay due to the location. However, I would not go back there.
Check-in was horrible, the young man was not friendly and rude, and dismissive. The rooms are small and need updating. The only positive is the proximity to many areas and coffee available in the morning. I would not go back there!
Comfortable beds. Toilet small. Difficulty opening shower door
Extremely friendly and helpful staff but the facility is old and the WiFi and tv’s worked out only occasionally
Great location, tasty breakfast. A bit dated. AC didn't work either but it was cool at night so didn't matter.
The location was excellent. It was a very short walk to the Old City (Jaffa Gate), Mahane Yehuda, Ben Yehuda Street, etc.
We liked it. Breakfast was good and varied slightly each day with a huge array of items. Front desk staff was helpful. Windows opened which was nice in November. Shower was perfect. Room was on the small side but the location is great. We liked it - no regrets. Would give it 4.5 stars.
Fantastic hotel!
Great location. Excellent staff!
Perfect location near the old city. The staff are wonderful and extremely accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are not huge but there is enough space. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location, but that’s about it.
great breakfast, very comfortable, helpful staff
not a king bed
hotels says or premium room has a king bed - it is NOT a king thays why we booked it were annoyed.
Great and convenient location. Staff is highly professional and friendly. Only negative is the need to improve and upgrade the bathroom.
good
it's not bad for the price
The location was great, very convenient to bus tours. A short two minute walk to tour pick up point all tours, safe to walk to early morning
Hotel is old lack of maintenance people are very rude the guy on the restaurant i guess manager is nesty stay looking everybody like a pitbull the reception same style only one yang fellow who works at nigth it's nice the TV first work at all horrible experience
2nd time
We were impressed by our 1st stay and the same applied for our 2nd visit. We had a premium room both stays with breakfast included
Would stay here again!
The hotel is a little worn but the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly plentiful and very good. Not a 5 star hotel but good value for the cost and very centrally located.
Great location and hotel
Totally enjoyed our stay here and booked again before departure for Tel Aviv.
Clean, quiet, and in a wonderful location.
Our 3-night stay
This wasn't our first visit to the hotel. We absolutely love its location. The restaurant staff is very accommodating and the breakfast is good. The reception staff is very efficient with a special shout out to Asnika who was helpful and a delight to talk to. My only complaint... bumpy pillow and would have loved a larger room.
would not go back there
the advertised shuttle or free breakfast is a misinformation the website. the a/c was not working and they said they need to remove the ceiling to fix it and its impossible, the bathroom knob was not working. they finally changed my room to a tiny mini room on the third day! the asked me to pay for breakfast and it took me 2 hours to conference call with hotels.com to sort it out. when i booked the charges was $1062, when i checked in they said its $1065. which is no big deal but when i wanted to check out, they asked me to pay another $44.
It was ok, restaurant for lunch and diner always close. location is great and staff are great.
Excellent hotel in excellent location
Excellent hotel in excellent location! Walk everywhere! Free parking and excellent breakfast included! Spacious room! Great rate!
The location of Eldan is the best, a very easy walk to the Mamilla Mall and Jaffa Gate. Staff was very friendly, room was nice, not super luxurious but clean and a nice view. Breakfast was good, nice selection. I would definitely stay here again...
Although we had specifically requested a room with two twin beds, we were given a room with one queen. We switched rooms to get our desired bed set-up, which was frustrating. We also asked the front desk to borrow an outlet adaptor so we could charge our phones. Not only did they not have a single one, but they sent us to a location that did not have them and were altogether pretty unhelpful. Breakfast was good and the location of the hotel is great. However, for the price that you pay, it is incredible to me that the service and attentiveness to detail was so lacking.
Great location
The hotel is in a good part of Jerusalem and convenient to go to the old city.Nice boutique hotel but take your own hair dryer.
A convenient location - walking distance from many restaurants, ease for getting taxis, the room was comfortable but a little “tired” some upgrades necessary!
The front desk staff and restaurant manager were excellent. Thank you so much for making Debra and I feel welcome!
Overall decent hotel
Overall good hotel in good location. We could not get the TV to work and there was a non-working phone on the nightstand. Later we found a working phone in the bathroom. Also it was a little strange to have the twin beds pushed together like a King bed but made up with linens as 2 twin beds.
Rami gave excellent customer service.
The hotel gave us a parking spot-this was amazing. The hotel is in decent shape but overall we were happy there. Breakfast was great. Water and apples are available whole day. We like Mamilla mall nearby!
This was a vary nice Hotel at a reasonable price.
Location can't be beat, reasonable price, clean, quiet, and comfy (though as someone over 6 feet the beds were a bit short)... pre-purchased Friday night dinner was intimate and nice (not overwhelming like larger hotels) and the staff was friend.
Gfreat location
Excellent hotel and location
Fantastic location and breakfast at this hotel. Would come here again.
It was great , only bathroom which was too small It was misunderstood with the order via hotels.COM I ordered two rooms in one order, I didn’t received the discount as it should be
