The Dylan is the best choice for your stay in Amsterdam! The staff were so friendly and professional, the decor was stunning, room was spacious. Loved the turn down service every night with curated treats!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Dylan, excellent customer service. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and it is located in a central area, walkable town.

Everything was absolutely perfect except for the heating/plumbing/electrical. Shower drain barely worked, bottom of shower filled with water. Sink faucet handle slowly leaked water when turned on. Heat was on but room still felt quite cold, so maybe a bit under-designed for the space. Some of the lights upstairs did not work so the upper loft area was a bit dark. Just not stuff you would expect to be wrong at a place as nice as The Dylan.

The Dylan is elegant. A very welcoming staff. The building is exquisite. The dining is superb. The rooms are abundantly appointed. Bathrooms are large. The tub is great. I walked everywhere from this location. Especially around the corner for coffee. And another quick walk for the best frites that I had during my entire 2 weeks. The Dylan is special. I highly recommend.

Simply perfect in every way

Luxury and Service!

The Dylan was absolutely amazing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff was amazing, the room was clean and luxurious and the experience was unmatched. We arrived early and they met us with a hot tea and a muffin and checked our bags (which they took up to our room when it was ready) and provided recommendations for our morning. The room was very clean, and comfortable. Really enjoyed turndown service each night. Location was great and easy to walk most places we wanted to go but the Concierge was also happy to help arrange a cab when it was rainy or we wanted to venture further. I wish I could go back again already. Thank you for the great stay!

Older buildings nicely updated

Aa luxurious haven with exceptional staff

I was in town for business for 4 days and I was incredibly impressed with the Dylan staff. They went out of their way to be helpful, always happy and courteous, and made an effort to say my name when they encountered me. The location is amazing, the comfort and cleanliness were exceptional.

Loved it!!

It was outstanding. Our room was very pretty, quiet, clean, spacious, well designed.

This was our second stay of what will be our new staple for work/leisure. Best location and setting, beautiful building, lovely light and quiet spaces but with a sexy bar, sweet courtyard, and a Michelin star restaurant as well. Very well appointed and designed rooms with quality amenities and large bathrooms. But most of all- it was the best front desk/concierge team I’ve ever experienced in years of fickle travel. They are familiar with their guests and anticipate every need: water, tea, desserts, taxis, reservations etc. They went above and beyond for us when we had a medical issue with my husband, calling in an MD, even sending me coffee and pastries when I was exhausted coming in from errands one morning. And they asked after the outcome genuinely when we returned from the hospital?! This will be the only place I stay in AMS going forward. I hope you are lucky enough to do so as well. Cheers.

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. During our stay in July the area is very crowded but still quiet and beautiful to walk around before 9am so gives you a feel for how things are. Very central, easy to walk to shopping and other attractions. Would highly recommend the hotel; we stayed in the new wing and preferred it over the original hotel for its more modern facilities.

The best hotel in Amsterdam

This gotel gives you rhe feeling that they wnjoy making your stay the best they possibly can. From the recieving drink yo the surprise you get in your room everyday. Every move you make they make sure our stay was perfect!!!

Staff was amazing. Bar is beautiful and courtyard as well. Flowers and lights - magical garden oasis on the canal in one of the busiest parts of the city.

Buildings are beautifully maintained and still have some of the original materials. Charming lounge and courtyard areas. Excellent food. Staff was very attentive and responsive. However, I wasn't aware my room would be on two levels with steep stairs (about 15) with a curve at the top between the bathroom and bedroom. I'm in my 70s and wasn't comfortable maneuvering the stairs at night. I didn't like that I would've had to pay an additional 75 euros a night for 4 nights to change rooms.

Staff was so attentive from moment we arrived.

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed The Dylan. A great staff. Wonderful dining and bar. Beautiful room facing one of the top canals. Easy walking to museums, shopping, dining. The facility is a unique combination of history and modernity. Altogether perfect from my point of view.

Ask for a room in the old section of the hotel. The newer rooms are much more stark and contemporary. In the old section they are luxurious and beautifully decorated. After my first night,( of 3) I mentioned it to the front desk, they immediately moved me to the old section, despite being fully booked. The attitude of the staff is incredible, and the bar menu and ambiance is warm and wonderful. There is a Michelin star restaurant on the premises, but book well in advance if you want to dine there. Highly recommend you treat yourself to this lovely hotel in one of the most vibrant cities in the world.

Perfect location, great staff, and a beautiful facility...run to the Dylan!!!

First this location is prime directly across from canal. Easy to walk to museums restaurants etc Renee and her staff could not of been more helpful from the moment you arrive until you leave.

The Staff were absolutely unbelievable!! Cannot wait to go back!

Impeccable service!

Perfect boutique hotel and setting.

Room was not that big, but I guess it is something expected in the canal area. Well equipped room, cosy brasserie and lounge, very good location. And even if these would be below expectations, hotel still would have a great rating just for the sake of the team! All the staff were friendly, smiling, solution oriented, helpful…Great staff! We enjoyed our stay a lot

The boutique hotel to stay at in Amsterdam

Excellent experience

Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in to the moment they put us in a cab to the airport. We did a high wine in the bar which is a 3 course meal with wine pairings and was absolutely beautiful.

I loved the location, the food, the hotel, and the staff. I would definitely consider this property again when I travel to Amsterdam.

Highly recommend this hotel for food, location and charm!

This is a beautiful hotel with its own secluded courtyard in the central part of Amsterdam. The staff were all amazingly polite and helpful, the service exceptional and the room beautifully appointed. My only complaint would be the eye-watering price for breakfast, the main option being a 32 Euro per head buffet, unless you had room service where a pot of tea will set you back 10 Euro. I accept that this is a top-notch hotel, but this does seem a bit stiff.

Great Hotel! Excellent service, definitely worth the money.

I was trying to pick between the Dylan and the Pulitzer. Both great options but I think the Dylan is way more peaceful and has such an elegant charm. It’s right down the street from the Pulitzer so it’s basically in the same location. But a quieter canal. I loved the little garden areas and the bar was beautiful and service was lovely. Would stay here again!

The hotel was in an excellent location. All the tourist sites were walkable. It is a lovely hotel on a canal. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean.

A fabulous property with attentive and helpful staff. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, no more than a 20 minute walk to most attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable. A truly elegant way to see a beautiful city.

Posh, cute and cozy.

We were in a really cute two story room, with bathroom and tub upstairs. The stairs, from what I found is the norm in Amsterdam (and likely Holland in general) were very shallow, and very steep. My only gripe is that there wasn’t a source of water on the first floor, next to the coffee machine and tea kettle. Aside from that, this place was extremely posh, cute, and cozy.

Marvelous stay. Excellent service from all hotels' staffs. 5 Stars dining restaurant.

Lovely boutique hotel in central Amsterdam

My Mom, my 12 years old son and I spend 4 days at the hotel. It was wonderful. The room was so comfortable with great comfortable beds and sheets and amazing blackout shades that let you sleep so well. Breakfast and the staff was amazing. I have already recommended the hotel to friends.

Beautiful and well located but awkward

Hotel has excellent location but hotel room was tiresome and awkward after three nights. The bathroom was located on a lower level and required a walk down a steep and winding staircase. The rooms were well decorated with above average finish but the lighting was poor especially in the bathroom. The light switches and thermostat were blocked partially by a cabinet inside the front door. The lower level bathroom room had one electrical outlet and was difficult to find under a mirror and our new adapter would not fit. (I had to take my hair straightening iron upstairs and use with no mirror or lighting.) The room rate was approximately $550 per night and it doesn’t include one complimentary cup of coffee! Room includes espresso maker that did not work properly. Hair dryer was cheap too, had to hold both sides with different fingers. Street also has several construction projects. Hotel workers were very helpful and nice especially concierge workers. Hotel Dylan is beautiful but difficult.

Beautiful old building, but as an old building, it had issues. Would not recommend for anyone with disabilities or those who have problems with steps. The hotel is described as luxury, but it fell short in many respects.

Our stay was for the weekend only. We had drinks and eats on numerous times before in the Dylan but not stayed as guests. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and warm . They would make anyone feel at home especially at the reception as sometimes checking in can be tedious in other hotels. Will definitely return soon.

My wife and I took a vacation to Amsterdam. We decided on The Dylan hotel because of its location . It was walking proximity to most museums and restaraunts. The hotel was very comfortable with warm and friendly service at all times

Lovely hotel in a quiet neighborhood

Very attentive staff helpful friendly everything we could what we had. Our first room was lovely and the old building but too small so we were quickly moved to the new building with a larger room would definitely recommend the new building. The ambience was wonderful orchid some fresh flowers everywhere entrance is a beautiful brick patio with small tables chairs and flowers. breakfast was amazing so many options everything so healthy and fresh. We ate at Winkle’s which was wonderful evening and would highly recommend. The hotel is in the nine streets area which is wonderful shopping. Walking anywhere in Amsterdam is a pleasure!

A hot, sweaty hotel needing A/C

The hotel room would have been great, had there been air conditioning. We were sweltering in the room. We requested they fix the AC but only got a fan for our two nights there. Also, be careful about having the hotel arrange guided tours. We did several and the guides they work with knew about as much of Amsterdam as we learned from our guidebook, with at some points being absolutely wrong!

Very nice hotel, but a bit pricy for what you get.

We had a great time, the hotel is very well situated. However I find that the price is a bit expensive for what you get. The concierge and reception staff were incredibly kind and efficient. However the restaurant staff was kind but quite inefficient.

Everything was perfect at this beautiful hotel in a wonderful neighborhood that was close to everything. Room? Immaculate! Staff? Incredible! Hotel condition? Gorgeous! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and this hotel was unforgettable. The staff made our stay an amazing one.

This was a truly wonderful experience. Our limo pulled up & before we could open the doors we were greeted & our bags taken. The room was large & beautiful & clean. The bathroom as well. Large selection of TV channels. Great service. Lovely breakfast. Perfect location.

Stunning Hotel in the Heart of Amsterdam

This is an exceptional hotel located within a great area within Amsterdam. From the minute we arrived the staff could not do enough for you. Outstanding Customer Service with a homely feel about the place. Rooms were lovely and extremely clean, breakfast was fantastic and the courtyard was a haven to relax and have drinks on our return from sightseeing. Beautiful shops are located in the surrounding streets and there is an upmarket feel about the whole area where the hotel is located. Will definately return to this hotel

Wonderful Hotel in a Beautiful City

My wife and I had a pleasant three night stay at this charming hotel. It's in a great, but quiet, shopping neighborhood on a picturesque canal. The service and food were first rate. The food at Occo was very good, but try to get a reservation at Vinkeles, the Michelin-starred restaurant on the premises.
