It was super cold and impossible to warm up the room.
customer service excellent, 10mins walk to times square
Friendly, helpful reception staff. Our room was far too warm for our liking. Maintenance came within minutes and management checked we were comfortable a short time later. Would stay here again.
I enjoyed staying here, very clean, close to grand central
Near to All!
The hotel was closed to Penn station, convenient to both East and West side holiday attractions. It was comfortable and of good value.
None
Very nice hotel small but had everything you needed. Very clean. Friendly
It was perfect.!!
The staff and the property make it an excellent choice for this particular hotel. We choose to go on a busy 1st Christmas Holiday weekend for personal reason and knew it was more expensive for 3 night's stay. The room was small with a king bed size (our smallest room so far). Our only disappointment was that they do not offer daily service in the room and paying $500 per night for us was our downside of it. The front desk did provide us as we ask the change of towels and some other things we needed, and we admit they were helpful.
Clean rooms is all that matter. Bed and pillows were nice as well!
This is my second time staying at the Draper. The rooms are nice but SMALL. It was nice having happy hour at the bar, but it got crowded very fast and service was slow. I requested for our room to be cleaned on our 3rd day (we stayed 4 days) and was told it would be cleaned by 5pm. It never got cleaned. Didn’t ever get a receipt at check out, both of my cards were on file and when I asked about which one was being charged they weren’t sure. Not sure if I will be back
Boutique hotel in Manhattan a short jog to Central Park.
Great location and exactly as describe.
Great location and very reasonably priced. Service was fine, room was exactly as described. The bar was not open during the day, even for soft drinks and the duvet was not in a duvet cover but between two sheets which was not ideal and unless the duvets themselves are washed free every stay, it’s not very hygienic.
I was received warmly. They stored my bags because I arrived before check in. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice, clean, and updated. I appreciated the lack of carpet and the stand up shower was perfect for me. I have had leg injuries. In some hotels, it is a slippery mess- definitely not this one! Staff was attentive, helpful, and prompt. My room was right off the elevator. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!!!
Good location, resonable prices. I didn't like having to ask for room clean/ service eveytime i needed it. The second time was poor service anyway. Room is small and little hanging facilities, if you like that.
Nice clen room. Safe area. Close to restaurants and shopping.
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
The 2 girls that helped me in the front desk were super nice.
Clean and comfy
Good location for fun walks and exploring
Quick but great stay at The Draper NY. Everything went smoothly and the location is amazing, very close to the subway and some attractions such as the Public Library, 5th avenue and Times Square. Highly recommend this hotel.
Thumbs up..
We had the best room in the hotel , highly recommend
The rooms are small and it was not fully clean.
Clean and convenient
Met expectations
Small room for a family of 4. Little thought given on where we put our clothes and suitcases
Stay here!
We had excellent service, a very comfortable room, and a great location.
Excellent location
The Draper is in a great location. It's just like most NYC hotels and has very small rooms, but our room had been recently renovated and the bathroom was nice. Just be prepared to not have a closet or much space around the bed. Suitcases have to tucked under the bed.
Small but comfortable room, no ironing board. No amenities like shower cap etc.
Our stay at this hotel was excellent. It was nice & clean. Also it was about 9min from Times Square which was convenient. Definitely will stay again.
Great location, friendly staff. The room is very small - to the point of having to wait for the other person to navigate around the bed. No closets, only a miniature rack mounted on top of the fridge! Do not lean on toilet sink - it feels like it is about to fall off... Otherwise, very good.
Our second stay and the staff has always been nice and accommodating. The Draper is absolutely an amazing experience such professionalism. My family thanks you.
room was smaller than a tiny room on a cruise ship...not Hilton at all...very poor
Convenient location in the heart of the city. Very clean and stylish
Cheap TV. Decent bathroom but tight. One chair - could use a bench, table, etc so my young children didn’t have to laugh about sharing a chair. Get some real bagels in the “cafe” The Pleat bar was gorgeous, great staff. happy hour was lively.
Fresh and beautifully designed. Nice little cafe off the lobby for coffee and a bite in the morning. As a bar in the evening, so unusual policies about what they’ll serve when, so don’t count on having a cocktail there. Floors are small, so there aren’t too many guests on each floor but if other guests are chatting as they pass your door, you will hear them. Related, the bathroom fan is built into a light, so if you’re aiming for white noise to block out the sounds from the hallway, be aware that a light must be on, too. Staff mostly very gracious. Parking off premises, about a block away.
En resumen nos gustó en la recepción muy amables y las chicas que hacen el aseo muy amables y serviciales , el cuarto es un poco pequeño pero en la descripción lo dice . Me volvería a quedar y excelente localización
This is a NYC style hotel for that price. Super small rooms, but it was clean and bed was comfortable. Room was OK if you did not to work at any time in it I did not get an early check in as I requested, by the reception Lady (i should have asked her name) was charming. She upgraded my room, and was extremely courteous and showed a lot of empathy. She made a change in my stay
Amazing except thirsty lol
Water in room or water bottle refill stations in hall please
The staff was friendly
Great property. Clean, quiet and short walk to most tourist areas.
Convenient
Cute hotel with convenient lock.
Fine but small
Overall it was ok once I got used to the small room and having to remember to order housekeeping every day. The low point was the so-called bar which served me an overpriced and not good wine in a plastic glass because it was “after 10pm” it’s ‘beer and wine only’ so I didn’t bother again. On the plus side the staff were helpful when I needed a late check-out. This place is fine if you don’t need to work or spend long in the room (with no closet).
Great hotel for a 5 night stay doing the sights of New York. Really good central but quiet location and the staff were fantastic. Only downside was the very noisy air conditioning that we couldn’t turn down or off no matter what buttons we pressed!
The front staff were friendly and very helpful with any room concerns we had. The room was clean and very comfortable with beautiful views of the city. I highly recommend this safe hotel and would definitely stay again!
TV was not working
Nice hotel. Rooms are clean but very small. Staff was average.
Quaint little hotel
Cute, clean hotel.
Cute hotel close to Times Square and Empire State Building. Superb staff, chic rooms (a tad small for me, no closet), close to public transit and a plethora of sites. Off of 5the Ave but pretty quiet considering the proximity. I do wish that the pillows weren’t so soft, but other than that, the bed/bedding was super comfortable.
Street closed off when we arrived. Very limited service. No housekeeping to clean room.had to ask for extra towels when we came back the first night. Bathroom very small and mat does fit under door. Smell of cigarette smoking through vent. Online service directory not up to date. Reception could not provide us with final bill for some reason. Said that Expedia has the bill. Not worth the price paid per night. Staff was nice but there is a glitch at this hotel.
Cozy and quiet, great night’s sleep.
Good and well appointed hotel
Small room (as is to be expected in NYC) but very well appointed. Good location. There was an option to have the room cleaned as the default is that it would not be but the sign to opt in was not clear.
Great location and bedroom larger than other New York hotels we've stayed at
Very polite and accommodating staff
Love the retro vibe and view of NYC wooden water towers and Empire State Building from our cozy room!
The room, especially the bathroom, was really spacious. Everything was really clean. The hotel was a great location.
Beautiful room, spacious, clean!
The sheets were not clean when I arrived. I had to request clean sheets and make the bed up myself after traveling all day. The shower had mold, floor could have used more cleaning. The heat didn't work, they had to bring me a space heater.
Didnt like how the room was messy the bathroom toilet seat was dirty and someone tried to enter our room within 20 minutes of us being there.
Small compact but nice.
Room was great however, tea and coffee machine needed to be put on separate table as it was on the only wardrobe trolley. Did not like wardrobe trolley arrangement as no drawers and limited hangers and hanging space.
Did not clean our room even when requested. Front desk staff were great though!
Great hotel in Murray hill close to dining and parks and all the mid town things. Loved the little cafe for morning coffees. Rooms have a contemporary aesthetic and well designed.
Great stay
Room was super clean and so was the bathroom. Very modern and great decor. Room was on a bit smaller side. There’s no breakfast but they have a small cafe that has coffee and small bites.
Trendy, small and overpriced.
This is a very small hotel in NYC. A lot of hotels in the city are stingy with space, but this room was tiny. With barely two feet of floorspace around the bed, there was no room for luggage or to walk around. We did not have a view, unless you count looking into the windows of the building next to us. I paid extra for a "Empire State View," and I could barely see the antenna of the building if I looked straight up out the window. The building itself is very small and tucked away. We missed it on our first walkby to the hotel. Despite the size, the room was very recently renovated and was clean. Good location, but there are so many hotels in this area I would recommend looking elsewhere.
i liked how well it fit 2 people on a budget
I am disabled using a rolleator. The room was so small it could not roll around the king bed. There were 2 guests but there was no closet or dresser to unpack my clothes, nor enough room to lay my suitcase flat as a dresser. Four hangers over a rack above a half fridge was it. The bathroom had no towel racks or a place to place everyday needs. No microwave. By our 3rd day we figured how to make things do. No auto door from the street or help getting in. Eventually I learned to navigate the rotating door pushing my rolling walker. I will learn to ask room size for handicap. Might be ok for a short visit but not several days.
It's my second time staying here and i loved it !! the room was clean and comfortable. This hotel's location is perfect and close to pretty much everything by walking
Friendly Staff!
Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable but space is limited.
Under construction
Hotel was under construction and no notice was given at time of booking. No lounge or bar was available. If we’d had known, we wouldn’t have booked this spot
Our room flooded at 5am and they said they didn’t believe me and had to come look at it first and then said what do you want us to do so I had to ASK for a new room. As if I was expected to stay in the room with puddles all over the floor. Then they blamed the window when the flooding was clearly coming from the wall / floor behind the bed. Worst experience ever. Don’t stay here.
I was nervous about choosing a hotel in NYC since it was my first time. This hotel was within walking distance to everything. We felt safe. Hospitality was amazing. Any time we needed new towels or anything they were quick to deliver it. Super friendly. The room was small but I was expecting that from other reviews. I’d definitely stay there again
The rooms were not soundproof, and the aircon was moderately loud
Beautiful view
Good
Wonderful stay
The staff were incredibly polite and friendly. The room had a direct view of the Empire State Building which was a lovely surprise. Room was slightly larger than the average room you’ll find in NYC. Does have very limited hanging storage but there were storage drawers under the king size bed. Grateful for the water fountain at reception.
.
Place was very small to begin with and customer service was beyond rude I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone nor will I ever go back.
Comfy and Clean
Easy check in, friendly, clean, and very comfy bed/pillows.
Nice property, but few bonuses
I stayed here for a week with friends visiting the city. The hotel itself is in a great location and in good shape. The hotel room is TINY. I saw comments regarding lack of space for clothes, etc., and have to agree. No closet at all was a shock--just spaces to hang clothing over the fridge is definitely not adequate. Two drawers in the base of the bed is great--IF one was not taken by the safe. I had repeated issues with the WiFi access, which was rough as I had to check in with work while there. It required repeated calls to their tech support throughout the stay. No gym on site was a bummer. No full service restaurant on site either. The staff were attentive and helpful. I'd say this is a fine property for a couple nights for business when you need a good centrally located place to stay. For longer periods, I'd choose a different hotel.
Great front desk service. Clean room.
We enjoyed our stay in this fabulous hotel. Hotel was busy but very quiet. Room was beautiful. Staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for a short stay in NYC. Can highly recommend staying at the Draper.
Staff was very friendly
Lovely hotel!
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The staff were so nice and welcoming at all times. When requesting towels or soap it was brought so quick. Everything was clean and modern. The washroom is beautiful and the room is the size you would expect for a New York room but every detail is very thought out and there is enough space. Clean clean clean! So nice to have a clean room. Very recommended. They gave us late check out and earlier check in. Complimentary water at the front desk. Nice lounge area with tables on main floor. The location is perfect! Walkable to most things and 10 min walk to time square. You need a key card to get to your floor which made it more secure. Will definitely be coming back here.
Liked the room. Very clean. Friendly staff. Lobby water always full and cold. Convenient location to restaurants, Bryant Park and MSG. Street is a little dodgy after dark with the spike in drug use in that area. Otherwise good!
Great hotel
Nice hotel. Excellent location, cute, nice staff. For me was perfect!
Clean and comfortable. Would book again
Property was okay, good location. But we stayed for a night, room was very stuffy and we tried to turn on the air conditioner. But it did not work, so we slept with the window open. Hearing all the noise from the street did not make it very relaxing. The bed was awful, extremely soft, feel like we were sinking in. But if you like your bed that soft, then its all good.
Great view, nice hotel overall
Overall hotel looks nice and staff are friendly but if you have an issue they are not great. Phone didn’t work in my room and whilst I was promised assistance, no help was every given and I was left to figure out alternative means to contact my airport shuttle service.
Great location, nice and comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff.
Best hotel for value in the area
I liked mostly everything in the hotel room, but i never was able to used my netflix account and i reported it. I was told it was under maintenance, and i have to paid for wifi. Also, i tried to accommodate my air conditioner but i couldnt. I dont like cold.
The balcony
Not great
Very tight quarters, walls are VERY thin, can hear everything, alarms, people talking, doors slamming. Would not recommend it.
Big comfy bed. QUIET.

The location was so nice. Everything was nearby. The staff was amazing
