We had a great stay at the Dorchester. Very comfortable, full (small) kitchen and a record player with Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch and the room was impeccably clean. Very stylish and very well renovated “boutique hotel” with nice finishes and colour schemes with a focus on design. They allowed us to check in a bit early which was nice. Fantastic bar/restaurant (tremont) just off the lobby, too boot. Will be back and would recommend.

Our recent stay at the Dorchester was truly exceptional. The contact-less check-in process was incredibly smooth and efficient, making our arrival seamless. The room itself was a masterpiece of design, with particular highlights being the luxurious bathroom and the overall ambiance. The hotel's location is unbeatable, with a vibrant and exciting atmosphere just steps away. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surrounding area on foot. We highly recommend the Dorchester and look forward to returning in the future.

Great stay.

Great location downtown Collingwood. Rooms are nicely decorated and designed. The kitchenette had everything we needed, (note there is not a microwave within the room, but we knew that and were prepared to make some meals on the stove).

Easy checkin process with mobile key access. Staffs are nice, room is clean and cozy. We spent the night as a group of 4 in the 2 double bed room - the room is spacious even for 4 of us. Easy parking too, will recommend

Nice decor and clean. Limited on site parking. Expensive for what it is. Getting the email link for access took 2 1/2 hours. Should just stick with key cards for customer convenience.

Staff were great and friendly, rooms were fantastic!!

There was ZERO sleep had. Extremely noisy with some party of people for multiple hours last night. Doors slamming. I heard by law come and that still didn’t stop the noise. Extremely frustrated with this facility and disappointed.

This has to be the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. They thought of everything for the room. Kitchen full of everything you need. Robes, high quality soap, and more. The decore is legit stunning. Staff were so friendly and caring. I wish I could just live there full time. It’s right downtown and walking distance to some great restaurants and shops. I would 10000 percent this property.

Great hotel, don’t try to check in early

Very cool hotel, great vibe comfort and style. Check in experience was not great, front desk staff was very rigid about 4pm check-in. We arrived at 3 and staff acted irritated by request to check in. They offered no rationale, just quoted hotel policy. Very off putting. Otherwise great experience.

There is nothing that could make this hotel any better other than making it pet friendly!!! As it’s really hard to find pet-friendly accommodations in the downtown. They are all in the blue Mountain Village.

Enjoyed listening to classic vinyl records provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique and historic gem in Collingwood. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

We stayed at the Dorchester for 2 nights in October 2024. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that is this difficult to reach, even as a current guest. We tried calling on Friday night to ask some further questions (we were coming to stay the following day) but the phone kept ringing and ringing and we didn’t end up getting through. When we arrived we were provided with an after hours line to call, however guests will likely have to use this line even during regular hours. On Sunday - they were barely at the front desk. Later, tried calling the front desk at 6 pm (within the hours of their front desk service) but we never got through. Went to the front desk but no one was there. Had to call after hours line even though it wasn’t after hours. They picked up and said that no one was at the hotel, and that it would take at least an hour to get us a replacement tissue box and a paper towel roll because no staff were on site.

Excellent downtown location. Will come again!

This hotel is such a hidden gem! I had no idea it even existed in Collingwood until it popped up in my Expedia search, and I am beyond happy it did. It's a beautiful property with stylish decor and lovely touches like record players and gorgeous glassware in the rooms. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful at all times. You will feel like you are in a glamourous city like Chicago and not in Ontario (not that there is anything wrong with our beautiful Ontario). Do not miss dining at the Tremont Cafe downstairs. I had the pleasure of a dinner there and the menu had the best food I have had in years! Better than dinners out in Toronto I have had lately. The duck confit and eggplant in lemon cream are standouts, and the sticky toffee pudding melts in your mouth! I cannot wait to come back! Thank you.

Hotel is great!! Great location, very clean, great friendly and helpful staff. It's pricy but you get what you pay for !!! If only the weather co-operated !!!

Nice in every way!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed & nice shower. The kitchenette was an added bonus. The decor was lovely and our room was very quiet (I’m a very light sleeper and got a good nights rest) The staff could not have been nicer & the Tremont Cafe attached to the hotel was delicious and stayed open much later than most nearby restaurant - which was great after a long day of traveling. Ample free parking. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

We were very pleasantly surprised. Hotel is extremely clean, room beautifuly renovated with attention to details and high-quality. We liked the location, near the water, beautiful street with restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques. Very friendly stuff. We rate the experience 10 out of 10.

We spent the Labour Day long week end in Collingwood and stayed at the Dorchester. Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful, you wont want to leave your room! The bathroom is stunning, the small touches like lavendar on your pillow were thoughtful, its centrally located, and just what we needed to rest and relax. The staff are warm and caring! Also, reserve to eat at the Tremont Cafe, wonderful dining experience attached to the hotel.

We were fortunate enough to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Dorchester Hotel, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. If I could give it 6 stars, I absolutely would! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spacious and beautifully designed room. The attention to detail was incredible, and the record player was a delightful touch that we thoroughly enjoyed. The Tremont Café, conveniently located inside the hotel. Perfect anniversary diner, fine food , great service and wonderful cocktails. The hotel staff were lovely and attentive, making us feel truly valued during our stay. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable and our room was wonderfully quiet. We love the balcony too. The location was perfect for exploring the city's shopping and restaurants. Thank you, Dorchester Hotel, for the fantastic memories. We will definitely be returning!

The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the small boutique hotel felt really comfortable. The room was on the small size but find for 2 for a weekend. The location is outstanding and the parking was easy and free. It looked like there was maybe a cafe in the lobby that wasn't open which I would have loved to take advantage of. I'd stay again for sure!

Beautiful Heritage Hotel

Very nice heritage hotel. Excellent rooms. Reception closes early so there is a chance you never see anyone. TV was poor with only (I think) streaming options with your own PIN. I just wanted to watch the news.

This hotel is in the core of Collingwood, walking distance to restaurants, shops, LCBO, & grocery store. The room was beautifully decorated, convenient and free parking, VERY clean (which is always a dealbreaker of mine when i read reviews), great key system (works with your phone) and the staff were friendly. Cons: we found the room very small (2 adults, 2 young kids) and no microwave (but awesome sized mini fridge!). Overall we had a great stay, the beds were comfy and we all got a good night sleep. Highly recommend.

All the touches were amazing from the in room Nespresso to the key on your phone to the amazing staff and super comfortable bed it was truly incredible. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for a beautiful stay.

I would have given it 5/5 but for some reason whenever we turned the heat on, it gave off a weird smell. But I would recommend this place with no hesitation.
