The property was different, very welcoming, clean, bright and airy. We had a room on the 3rd floor, very quiet and 2 large windows looking out at tree tops, very relaxing.
Had an amazing stay. Traveling alone and needed a nice room to come back to every night that was clean safe and enough space. Great place!
The Delphi was amazing! From the moment we walked in, the staff on point. They were friendly, took care of our luggage, provided excellent service and recommended places to eat and things to do. The hotel itself was so comfortable and inviting, relaxing and the breakfast was just right! I would definitely stay here again!
We would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the location is pretty much perfect! It's in a quiet part of the city, yet ideally placed for the main galleries with great transport links to the city centre. The building itself is Art Deco style with fresh, modern interior design with some areas referencing 70's styling. Yet it retains some nice period stained glass and stone work. Oh, and the breakfast is great!!!
Good value.
Not fancy like I thought
Wouldn’t say it’s worth the money. Deco and rooms really basic. Nice peaceful room tho
Pleasant stay - will recommend
Our group of three really enjoyed our stay at The Delphi! The beds were very comfortable, and the room was a good size. There were even complimentary waters and snacks in our room. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day, and relaxed in the lobby/lounge as well. The location is outside the center, but in a cute local area, and is easily connected to the center by tram or by foot.
We were on the ground floor with a bike store outside but actually wasn’t too bad, considering. For some reason €800 deposit taken even though I’d paid, all seemed a bit odd, but was eventually not charged. Still good location and cafe/restaurants nearby all good.
I loved my stay here in Amsterdam for a week. It was clean and in an excellent, non tourist area, but still close to all main attractions. Highly recommend.
Nice hotel.
Cosy upgraded hotel with good location close to the de Pijp and Museiplejn. Also fairly quite area access to tram and amenities.
The Delphi is perfectly located in a quiet yet vibrant area just a block away. Also a block away there is have public transportation to get to either the airport or central station as well as many restaurants to choose from. The main attractions are at a walkable distance.
Good
The hotel was very clean and nice, the staff was very helpful and happy to assist ,the area around was very nice and safe , with transportation. The room was very quiet and dark!
Wonderful place in a lovely neighborhood
This hotel was perfect for our visit. The room was large and perfect for three people. The staff was so friendly. The breakfast provided (for a fee) was great a great value. The location is very close to a grocery store, restaurants and tram lines. We had no trouble getting around the city. Coffee, tea and water were provided at all hours and the seating area was wonderfully inviting. Will definitely return and recommend it to others.
Perfect in every way
Great service at the front desk from David, Peter, Tarik, and Giordano. Stellar breakfast. Excellent housekeeping. Peaceful but convenient location. Stayed 4 nights for work. Would definitely stay again when next in Amsterdam, for leisure as well as work.
Ideal spot for teaming into city but away from the bustle. Good for RAI conventions.
Nice location, very quiet
Character, convenient, good breakfast.
Convenient for RAI (about 15 min walk). Nice hotel with character. Good size room. Clean. Friendly service. Good breakfast
Modern and clean with a good breakfast
Nice clean and modern hotel. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Would stay there again.
Great stay & lovely location
An excellent hotel within walking distance to everything including the trams which will take you anywhere you want to go. Richard at the front desk was extremely helpful!
The guys at the front desk were really nice!
Perfect location. Excellent bicycles.
Totally awesome.
This was my third stay. The breakfasts, the lounge, the wonderful expresso machine(!), the fruit and croissants (and sometimes cake) that are left out all day for guests to eat, all make this hotel unique. There are also sandwiches and wine/beer guests can order in the lounge from late afternoon on. The folks at the front desk, especially David, aim to please, and help with anything one needs--information, directions, scheduling of CPR tests, shopping, no request is too large or small.
Great value and terrific breakfast buffet!
I got a small single room, since I was traveling solo, but it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I'd experienced, and it was included. Checkin went smoothly and very helpful staff. Nice lounge to relax and have a coffee.
More than 5 stars! Staff was top-notch
First solo international trip and stayed 6nights at this hotel. The front desk staff assisted in arranging a car service, since airport shuttle was not an option and worked out perfect. I opted for a larger room and was sufficent in size. Bed was firm and super comfortable. Window opens and can control your own heat. Room was very clean and cleaned daily, if I wanted. Hotel Lounge offers a great place to sit and work, eat or just relax. Includes a self service coffee machine and fresh fruit. Breakfast service available, additional cost but worth it overall. Tram is a short walk away and can easily get around. They do offer bike rentals, but locals are very serious about biking. Overall my stay was very comfortable, staff was top notch and would stay again!
This property made us feel at home, super friendly staff. The property did not disappoint. Will be returning
Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggesting places to eat locally
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Richard and Stuart
Clean, Comfortable and a 2-Minute Walk to the Tram
This was a very nice place for us to lay our head for 4 nights in Amsterdam. We had 3 separate rooms that were all clean and comfortable. The lobby is beautiful with coffee/tea available 24/7. A short 2 minute walk to the tram and nearby restaurants (Gauchos was delicious!). I would certainly stay here again.
Good hotel.
Good clean hotel. Little old so the floor may creak. Internet WiFi is good speed and available in all rooms and the lobby/reception area. 5 minute walking distance to Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum.
I reserve 1 room with twin bed but the reception give me a single bed and didn't accept to give us twin bed
I ddnt like that there was no room service, no mini fridge...bathroom very small,no help with luggage
Cleanlinesd and staff friendliness. The room with the bed is not so good looking
Great area
Very comfortable twin room for a good price, in a great location. Would definitely stay again
It's nice hotel close to tram station whihc can take you to the center in 10 minuites also it has close by super market and coffee shops. With the price I paid I was happy.
Nice and comfortable stay. Quiet but wonderful neighbourhood. Near to canal.
Well located for the museums. An easy stroll into the centre. Nice places to eat close by. Easy to get to from airport one stop on the train and a 20 minute walk or a tram. Clean. Perfect for a city break.
Agrivating
I Clarified when I got there if there would be a charge when they asked to get my credit card and order to give me my room key. I had already paid the fees through the online site and showed him the receipt and he said it was OK they were just needed to hold it on file for “just in case” issues. When checking out I was charged additional fees and now have to go back and sort that out. Carpets had weird bleach like stains and it’s obvious the building could use a new set of paint or maintenance to work on the cracks in the walls. The room was very small and lacked any information about services provided by the hotel.
Great stay
Good comfortable room in a great neighborhood near the tram.
Check in was chaotic and we had to wait for 2 hours until our room was ready
In a quiet spot but not far from the action, this is a nice place
Very good
Hotel was much better than expected for the price. Very helpful staff, clean and comfortable room and public space
Bulb and door lock broken. Poor maintenance in the room
Great staff and good location close to shops and close to restaurants.
Good hotel with character
comfortable hotel, nice staff. Nice building with character in lovely district
Extremely pleasant and helpful desk staff with a great attitude. I needed help gtting a document printed and they were very accomodating. Extremely close to tram line, some restaturants and a small super market so great location as I was working close by.
Disappointingly average
I don’t know how they got a four star rating. Rooms comfortable but basic, no drinking water in the room. Tea & coffee in the room very mean and no milk. Housekeeping didn’t clean up fully between days.
The individual manning the desk at check in was extremely helpful and courteous. The location was near a tram stop and was convenient to access the city or airport. Property was clean and well maintained.
Nice and comfortable rooms, and amazing coffee!
Free coffee and drinks, snacks and fruits in the evening was such a blessing after coming back from a tiring day! Room was clean, comfortable , airy with all amenities.
Good for a night
Wish I would have paid better attention to location of hotel. The hotel itself was very nice, clean, comfortable, modern. However, the location was a bit further from the main attractions of Amsterdam than I liked. The cost from train station to hotel via taxi was 22€. I was able to get my Uber app working the following day and that trip was more reasonable at 8€ to get to city center. The staff was lovely and helpful. The main lounge area was nice and clean and the complimentary snacks and coffee was appreciated.
No lunch or diner options in the hotel and not even somewhere close to the hotel . A very quiet and sad place. It doesn’t have a smoking area .
Very nice hotel
Even though they were in the process of painting their walls, the staff was helpful, nice, and very professional. Two thumbs up!!!
Convenient South Amsterdam
If you need a comfortable stay at slightly smaller hotel in the south of Amsterdam - close to all of the transportation needs - then this is your place.
Good location for our stay, close to Tram 24, nice and quiet, very helpful staff, great service and breakfast.
Cosy hotel in an ideal location
Stayed here with my boyfriend for four nights. First impressions were that it was a friendly and welcoming hotel and these continued throughout the stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful and provided us with useful information such as maps of the city upon arrival. Very ideal location with only 10/15 minutes on the tram into the center of Amsterdam and a tram stop less than 2 mins from the hotel. It’s a lovely clean and quiet area, and only 25 mins or so taxi from the airport. For me, the only downfall was the price of the breakfast which we decided not to have (€15 per person, per day) but on the upside, there was always tea/coffee/juice/fruit available in the dining area. All in all, a lovely cosy little hotel and I would definitely recommend it to others
Nice hotel just outside the city center
Great hotel with good transport in and out of the city. just far enough out night life to get a good nights sleep. Room was great, bigger than the last time I stayed (which was more than big enough) and very comfortable . Will definitely return when on future trips to Amsterdam.
Old hotel
Worn out old dirty hotel , never again. Hairs in the bath tub, one person elevator, hallways not vacuumed in a long time
Deceiving pics and size
I had a 1 bed room. The room size is extremely small (probably the smallest I've ever stayed in) and the room feels more like a college dorm than a hotel room. If you're staying very briefly, it might not be a bad option for the price, but anything longer I would not recommend. Note that if you're coming back at night via cab from the main city area, a cab will likely cost you over 25 euros.
Business trip
Very comfortable bed and extremely friendly and helpful staff
Nice room in a quiet area, easy access to city cen
Highly recommend! Clean and comfortable rooms. Tucked away in a quiet area, away from the crowded touristy spots. Conveniently located to tram stop, making it easy to get to any of the sightseeing areas by foot or tram. Albert Cuypmarket, Museumplein, etc. Just a few tram stops away. Great breakfast buffet and lounge. Decent pubs, restaurants and coffee shops and supermarket nearby if you just want to wander around that area. Added perk: ArtZuid public sculpture exhibition in the greenspace in front of the hotel, spanning several city blocks. Also some really beautiful homes, w/art deco architecture. I really enjoyed my stay!
Terrible Experience
Was unable to sleep due to the heat outside a room without air conditioning and no screens on the windows to prevent bugs from flying in.
Perfect room in a well located small hotel!
The bright, very spacious room with a king size bed and armed chair in a corner overlooking a tree lined street was so perfect I thought I was upgraded. They provided soap and shampoo but you have to bring your own body lotion and conditioner. The hotel is small with a small reception area and a dining room with a kitchen on the first floor. Complementary tea, coffee, fruits and pastries (leftover from breakfast) are pleasant snacks in the afternoon. Best Western Delphi is located one block from a commercial street with a well stocked supermarket, boutiques, pharmacies, coffee houses, ice cream shops, and restaurants ( I had the best Chinese food at a restaurant 2 blocks away). The Amsterdam museum complex is a 10/15 minute walk away. Buses and trams run daily down the commercial street from Central Station or the Airport. Coming to Amsterdam by train, you can easily catch the #5 or #24 and get off one block away from the hotel, or coming by plane, you can catch the #197 Airport bus with connection to #24. The room had no AC. and can be quite unpleasant even with the breeze coming from the two large windows. I thought I had an upgrade because ORBITZ charged me more than the advertised rate. It was a bait and switch that ORBITZ pulled on me and it was not cool.
Quiet area, though not much local for dinner
Pleasant enough stay in a quiet part of Amsterdam, so no huge crowds at the weekend. In practice this is a B&B, with no restaurant for dinner in the evening. The downside is that there are only three restaurants nearby: Brooks: if you like burgers, New City chinese: warned off because of the prices, Gauchos: nice Argentinian steak house with very helpful staff, but not for every night there! Breakfast is more than adequate with some hot food, and tea, coffee, fruit and cake available free during the day. Tram stop 2 minutes away and very frequent. We got a travel card for 72 hours for €17 each. Rooms roughly what you expect for an older b uilding, a bit short on room, but livable. Beds had extra foam mattress which made them very high and they kept moving off the bed! Not very good. Staff were very helpful. It worked for us.
good or round hotel
Happy with location as close to tram service.Staff helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.Room not the biggest but clean and functional. Would recommend to anyone coming to Amsterdam
Not central but has good transport links
Small hotel near to No. 5 tram - easy access to the centre. There are a couple of restaurants and cafes and a supermarket within a 5 minute walk. Quiet room, very helpful staff who solved minor problems quickly and with great attitude. Fabulous breakfast with a great choice of quality food - cooked and cold cuts. Breakfast room was rather small for the size of hotel. Wifi worked well in rooms as well as communal areas.
Nice hotel in peaceful location
Nice hotel well supported by tram and metro. Train station (Zuid) was not far away either with quick links to the airport (6min). Clean, well kept rooms with pleasant views over the street in front of the hotel. Just far enough out of the city center to enjoy a peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast good with friendly staff that were ready help with any of my requests. Overall a good place to experience the city from.
OK, but cannot honestly recommend.
The women who prepared breakfast was very courteous and the food was very good! Desk Clerk, Paulina, was extremely rude and curt!
Not 4*
Not bad hotel, but wouldn't say it was 4* Room was small, but bed big and comfy Breakfast is in hotel next door, but nice It's in an old building, so they are limited as to what they can do to it, but would not rate it a 4* hotel Not much within walking distance, but like almost everywhere in Amsterdam, the trams are good.
Convenient for museum district.
think you could probably find a better budget hotel. Carpet and shower curtain showed signs of staining. Single bed was strange design with lamp only a foot above the pillow! Corridor noise fed easily into the room. Take ear plugs and keep your own noise down!
Great Location and Price
Very satisfied with location and pricing! Great value; recommend highly.
Terrible stay, mouse in the bar area, things left in the hallway... bad place to stay
good position. very good area
rooms were very small and noisy when guests arrived home in the early hours lots of banging of doors. not your fault but a gentle note in the rooms could help some to be more thoughtful.good hotel and would come again but different room.
Nice quiet and friendly hotel
Close to museum quarter and very close to tram line. A few shops round the corner but a bit further to restaurants. Nice to be able to get out of the centre and relax. Staff very friendly and helpful
Delphi best western ansterdam
The reason I have given a rating to say I would not stay here again if following the first night I came out in bites which have developed further over the last couple of days - so I wonder if there is a problem with bed bugs .... As they are causing be considerable discomfort. I also fell down the stairs there was a sign however there was a large wardrobe in the entry to room which means if you fall you are more than likely to hit the wardrobe :) I now have a severe problem with my neck.
Lovely hotel - clean, nice amenities Comfy beds
Great hotel even if it is off the beaten track - a bit far from tourist stuff. But having the bike rentals was great and 15 - 20min walk to city centre. Staff was wonderful - loved Amsterdam.
With a touch of home comfort with hotel experience
Amazing staff!!
Good
While a fair distance away from the palace area, you can easily get to those (and back) with a short tram ride. The museum district isn't too far away and there are plenty of places to eat in the local area. The room was good, clean and air conditioned.
Moderate but wiuld prefer another hotel
House keeping only made bed but didnt cleen the room and no AC ao room was hot. Got early checkin so happy about it
Lovely hotel located near tram stop
The hotel is well decorated and very modern inside however we were provided with two single beds instead of a double. The hotel staff were helpful and let us check in earlier than 3pm and provided us with a fan when it was too hot in the rooms. The location was relatively good as it was on a nice street very close to a tram stop. The hotel is walking distance to the museums but quite far away from central Amsterdam. Would definitely recommend if willing to take the tram!
Nice hotel
The hotel is in a good location, near museums but in a quite area where you can rest. Their customer service will do eveything so you can have a good experience, and the breakfast has different options. It was a great experience.
Really Great hotel in convenient area
The hotel was located very close to the Rijksmuseum and had great transportation links to areas like the Jordaan and Red Light District. It was very clean and furnished to a nigh standard. We would definitely stay there again! Xoxo
Tranquil location with excellent transport links
Excellent tram links to city centre. Distance from city centre was no inconvenience and quiet was more than compensation so was win win location.
Good value
Nice hotel in a good neighbourhood, staff are mostly nice but a few were quite rude. Would still come back again.
Nice location, average facilities, great staff
I slayed for 5 nights attending a conference. The hotel has a nice location, near to public transportation with a few useful shops and restaurants around. The hotel has average facilities, but the staff are really great and helpful. The internet is good. The hotel is suitable for a short stay and do not expect too much.
Comfortable
The calling card is breakfast. Although not a new hotel all aspects were clean and useable including bathroom and bedroom. Note that TV is not free. It is close to many restaurants and shops. I stayed to attend RAI - a nice walk away.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Coffee, flavoured water and snack were always available in the lobby. Elevator available to get to floors which isn't always present in European hotels. Lovely new bathroom with shower. The only complaint was the bed needed to be replaced
Low profile
No AC in the room must open windows.......
Bathroom is more like a cupboard
The bathroom was a joke, OK i am a large person but it was virtually impossible to get past the sink to use the loo. To make matters worse there was a towel rail protruding out (taking up another two inches of the already small way past and it had a sharp corner on it. A thoroughly unpleasant experience.
Wonderful staff and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was excellent! Thanks team for a great time.
Excellent location.
- Walking distance to museums. - Very clean. - Friendly staff. - Tasty breakfast.
Good location
The hotel is easy accessible to/from tram. It's location is located in a cute neighborhood with coffee shops, local grocery / restaurants. I was not impressed by the service I received at checkin by the two receptionists. House keeping needs improvement.
Exceptional staff comfortable location
The staff at the Delphi hotel were wonderful and so very helpful. The hotel and room was very clean. The room and bathroom accommodations are very small and bathroom in particular is uncomfortable due to size. The dining area is sweet and very comfortable where guests can help themselves with coffee, tea, espresso, and sweet bread when they get back from a long day visiting the city. The neighborhood is very comfortable and reminded me of my hometown.
Great place to stay in Amsterdam
Great location, fabulous breakfast, clean room. Loved the daily coffee in the breakfast room.
nice place quiet area
right nest to tram stop, nice quiet relaxed hotel would stay here again
Poor local knowledge
A male staff (young ,dark haired on in the evening of Monday/Tuesday? ) member was very unfriendly and could not explain the location or name of the local tram station (close to hotel) . Very disappointing. Also TV angle could not move so I had to stand up to watch TV. Very poor. Shower head unable to fix on shower rod at high position . Again poor. However location was good and it was very clean.
Pkeasant stay in Amsterdam-Zuid.
We had a comfortable stay, the neighbourhood is pleasant and inviting, near to most places we wanted to visit. The tram stop is a few steps away.
It's okay hotel, not the best for young travelers. If you are older and want a more relaxing and quiet experience, I would recommend for you. The staff was rude to myself and my friends, but nicer to the older tenants.
